酸石榴一个去顶，白砒三分，研末入内，将原顶盖好，过七日化水，取水将须稍浸良久
，黑色到根。
又方∶锻石、白碱、轻粉、黄丹各等分，研为细末，用滚水调搽，搽毕即以冷水洗之。
又方∶好墨一块，填在凤仙花粗梗内，外用麻扎紧，霜后取出，磨墨点之。
又方∶采鲜覆盆子榨汁涂之。
榧子三枚，胡桃两个，侧柏叶一两，捣浸雪水梳头，其发永不脱落，而且光润。
黑豆一升，青石榴一个，捶碎入好醋三升，煮烂去豆，再煎至一升，收贮，每早敷发则
黑润。
川椒一两酒浸，每日涂之，其发自长。
又方∶诃子三钱，青果五钱，三奈、官桂、樟脑各一钱，香油二两，浸数日，每日手蘸
油擦发处三十六下，日后短者长，无者生矣。
又方∶侧柏叶阴干研细，以香油浸之，每朝蘸刷头，生发且黑，洗头发用猪胆汁入汤沐
发，洁净而且光润。
人忽耳后发际搔痒，小窍出血，用止血药不效者，此名发泉。取多年粪桶箍烧灰敷之即
止。或用炒甲片研细末掺之亦止，并治指缝出血及各处出血不止均效。
取饭甑盖气水常沐儿头，久之生发，自然黑润。
用生半夏研磨成细末，用水调匀后涂抹患处，青紫色的肿胀即可消退。
取一个酸石榴，去掉顶部，放入三分白砒，研磨成末装入石榴内，将原来的顶盖好，放置七天使其化成水，取汁液浸泡发根较长时间，可使头发变黑直至根部。
另一个方子：锻石、白碱、轻粉、黄丹各等分，研磨为细末，用开水调匀涂抹，涂完后立即用冷水清洗。
又一个方子：取一块好墨，填入凤仙花的粗梗内，外面用麻绳扎紧，霜降后取出，磨墨点涂患处。
又一个方子：采集新鲜的覆盆子榨汁涂抹患处。
胡桃外面的青皮压榨出的油，涂抹患处。
狗胆汁涂抹患处。或者使用白狗、青狗的胆汁效果更佳。

又一个方子：侧柏叶阴干后研成细末，用香油浸泡它，每天早上蘸着刷头，头发既生长又变黑；洗头发时用猪胆汁加入洗头水中洗发，洁净而且光润。
人忽然耳后发际线处瘙痒，小孔出血，使用止血药无效的情况，这名叫“发泉”。取多年粪桶的铁箍烧成灰敷在患处即可止血。或者用炒过的穿山甲片研磨成细末撒在患处也能止血，并且治疗指缝出血及各处出血不止都有效。
取饭甑盖上的蒸汽冷凝水经常给婴儿洗头，久而久之头发会生长，自然黑润。
Apply a fine powder of raw Pinellia Rhizome (Banxia, 半夏) mixed with water to the affected area; the cyanotic swelling will subside immediately.
Remove the top of one sour pomegranate (Shiliu, 石榴), insert three fen of Arsenic Trioxide (Pishi, 砒霜) ground into powder into it, cover with the original top, and leave for seven days until it liquefies. Take the liquid and soak the hair roots for a long time to turn them black down to the root.
Another prescription: Equal parts of Calcined Lime (Duanshi, 煅石), White Alkali (Baijian, 白碱), Calomel (Qingfen, 轻粉), and Red Lead (Huandan, 黄丹) are ground into a fine powder. Mix with boiling water, apply, and wash off immediately with cold water.
Another prescription: Fill a thick stem of Chinese Balsam Impatiens (Fengxianhua, 凤仙花) with a piece of good-quality ink stick, tie tightly with hemp outside, retrieve after frost, grind the ink, and dot it on the affected area.
Another prescription: Extract juice from fresh Raspberry (Fupenzi, 覆盆子) and apply it.
Apply the oil pressed from the green husk of Walnut (Hetao, 胡桃).
Apply bile from a dog. Bile from white or blue-black dogs is particularly effective.
Equal parts of Bear Bile (Xiongdan, 熊胆) and Vitex Fruit (Manjingzi, 蔓荆子) are ground into a fine powder, mixed evenly, and applied with vinegar.
Three Torreya Seeds (Feizi, 榧子), two Walnuts (Hetao, 胡桃), and one liang of Biota Tops (Cebaiye, 侧柏叶) are crushed and soaked in snow water. Use this liquid to comb the hair; the hair will never fall out and will become shiny and smooth.
One sheng of Black Soybeans (Heidou, 黑豆) and one green pomegranate are crushed, added to three sheng of good vinegar, boiled until soft, then the beans are removed. The liquid is further reduced to one sheng, stored, and applied to the hair every morning to make it black and lustrous.
Soak one liang of Sichuan Pepper (Chuanjiao, 川椒) in wine and apply daily to promote hair growth.
Another prescription: Three qian of Chebula Fruit (Hezi, 诃子), five qian of Chinese Olive (Qingguo, 青果), one qian each of Sanrae Rhizome (Sannai, 三奈), Cinnamon Twig (Guangui, 官桂), and Camphor (Zhangnao, 樟脑), along with two liang of Sesame Oil (Xiangyou, 香油), are soaked for several days. Dip fingers in the oil and rub the scalp thirty-six times daily; short hairs will grow longer, and bald areas will regrow hair.
Another prescription: Dry Biota Tops (Cebaiye, 侧柏叶) in the shade, grind into fine powder, and soak in Sesame Oil (Xiangyou, 香油). Apply daily to brush the head to promote hair growth and darkening. For washing hair, add Pig Bile (Zhudan, 猪胆) to the bath water for cleanliness and shine.
If sudden itching occurs at the hairline behind the ear accompanied by bleeding from small pores, and hemostatic drugs are ineffective, this condition is called "Faquan" (Hair Spring). Burn the iron hoop from an old manure bucket to ash and apply to the site to stop bleeding. Alternatively, apply finely ground powder of stir-fried Pangolin Scales (Jiapian, 甲片); this also effectively treats persistent bleeding from finger webs and other areas.
Frequently wash an infant's head with the condensation water collected from the lid of a rice steamer; over time, hair will grow naturally, becoming black and lustrous.
