草散
治疗风邪引起的牙龈肿痛。
取细辛、草（各半分）。
将上述药物研磨成细末，加入少许麝香。每次取一钱半，加一盏水，煎煮至八分满，温热时含在口中，待冷却后吐出。
梧桐律散
治疗牙齿松动、牙龈萎缩出血不止。
取梧桐律半两，细辛、地骨皮、防风各一两，白芷半两，草、川芎各一两。
将上述药物研磨成细末。每次取半钱涂抹于牙齿上，进食后漱口，待药液变冷后吐出。
沉香散
治疗老年人长期患有的剧烈冷牙痛，难以忍受。
取沉香、川升麻、细辛、白芷、地骨皮各一两，黑附子一分（生用）。
将上述药物研磨成细末。每次取一钱，用白开水送服，待药液温度适宜且变冷后吐出。
地黄散
治疗牙齿松动，遇冷热刺激即疼痛。
取干地黄、升麻、青盐、芦荟、防风等量。
将上述药物切碎并混合均匀。每次取药一两，加大盏水和一盏酒，共同煎煮至一盏半，去渣。趁热含在牙齿松动处，良久后吐出。
大梧桐律散
治疗各种风邪导致的牙齿动摇、疼痛，坚固牙齿。
取梧桐律、川芎、白芷各半两，生干地黄、槟榔、细辛各二分，丁香、雄黄各一分。
将上述药物研磨成细末，加入雄黄再次研磨使其均匀。每次饭后及睡前，先用温水漱口，然后取少量药物擦拭疼痛部位，其他时间也可以使用。
治疗牙疼
取巴豆一个（烧焦，连同皮一起研磨），胡椒七个（研成细末，与巴豆同研）。
将药粉涂抹于疼痛处即可止痛。或者用蜡调和捻成条状，插入牙缝中，疼痛即止。
咽喉部
无忧散
治疗热毒上冲咽喉引起的各种疾病。
取重楼、甜硝、板蓝根、茯苓、蒲黄、紫河车、百药煎、贯众、莲子心、白僵蚕、赤小豆。
将上述药物研磨成细末。每次服用一二钱，饭后用蜜水调服。也可以制成蜜丸含化。
犀角散
治疗咽喉毒气结塞、疼痛不止，以及无法吞咽汤水。
取犀角屑、沉香、马牙硝、鸡舌香各一两，木香、薰陆香、甘草、黄芩各半两，川升麻。
将上述药物捣成粗末。每次取三钱，加一盏水，放入竹叶十四片，煎煮至六分满，去渣。随时温服。
佛手散
治疗咽喉肿痛等各种疾病，又名无忧散。
取龙脑薄荷、百药煎、硼砂、牙硝各二分，甘草、青黛各四分，马屁勃、朴硝各半两。
将上述药物研磨成细末。每次直接干掺患处。兼治赤口疮，一日使用三到五次。（另外，也可以用络石藤阴干研末，水煎漱口，治疗严重的咽喉肿痛。）
生地黄散
治疗咽喉内生疮，唾血不止。
取生地黄、麦门冬各一两半，鸡苏苗、赤茯苓、玄参各一两，甘草半两。
将上述药物捣成粗末。每次取三钱，加一盏水，放入竹茹一分，煎煮至六分满，去渣。随时温饮。
蔷薇根散
治疗热气壅滞导致口腔和舌头生疮。
取蔷薇根皮一两，川升麻三分，生干地黄、黄柏各半两，铅白霜一钱。
将上述药物研磨成细末，加入铅白霜研磨均匀。每次取二钱，加大盏水，放入半匙蜜，煎煮至七分满，通口含漱，待冷却后吐出。若无效，可继续用药末。
神圣吹喉散
治疗走马喉闭及喉闭肿痛，立竿见影。
取螺儿青、白僵蚕、焰硝、甘草各二两。
将上述药物研磨成细末。取腊月内牛胆一个，取出胆汁与药拌匀，重新装入胆内，放在通风处阴干一百天。取出后研细，每次吹入喉中。
吹喉散
治疗咽喉闭塞。
取铜绿、胆矾、白僵蚕、朴硝。
以上药物等分，用乳钵细研为末，吹入喉中，神效。
硼砂散
治疗喉闭不通者。
取硼砂、枯矾、蛇皮、皂角刺（火烧）各半两。
将上述药物研磨成细末。每次取少许吹入喉中，出血即为有效。
小硼砂散
治疗咽喉肿痛及喉闭气不通、垂危者。
取硼砂、马牙硝各一两，白矾二钱，龙脑少许。
将上述药物研磨均匀，用腊月鲫鱼胆汁调和，填入猪皮内荫干，取出研细末。吹入一字量的药粉于喉中。如果没有鲫鱼胆汁，也可用腊月的其他替代品。
消毒散
治疗大人小儿咽喉肿痛生疮，以及小儿疮疹欲出未透、需要透肌消毒的情况。
取牛蒡子六两，甘草二两，荆芥穗一两。
将上述药物研磨成细末。每次取一钱，加一小盏水，煎煮至七分满，温服，不限时间。
雄黄散
治疗缠喉诸风。
取蜈蚣一条（去足、去头，研成末），雄黄一分（研细）。
将两者同研为细末。每次取一字或半钱，用冷水调匀，用鸡翅蘸取扫在喉中。凡是咽喉病及满口牙齿腐烂出血者，皆以此为主治。
治疗喉闭呼吸困难
取生巴豆，带皮磨尖，露出肉色，用木针穿透，用牙齿咬住闭合嘴唇，使气体从巴豆针眼中排出，不久自然通畅。
露蜂房散
治疗热病导致喉中热毒闭塞、肿痛。
取露蜂房、甘草、射干、川升麻、川朴硝、玄参各半两。
将上述药物捣成粗末。每次取三钱，加一盏水，煎去五分，去渣。随时温服。
铅霜散
治疗热病咽喉肿痛不利。
取铅霜、硼砂、马牙硝各一分，川升麻、黄药、地龙、寒水石、蛇蜕皮、牛黄、太阴玄精石。
将上述药物研磨成细末。每次取一钱，随时用新汲水调服。
硼砂丸
治疗咽喉肿痛不利，口舌生疮。
取寒水石五十两，硼砂十两，脑子二分，麝香一两，牙硝二两，梅花脑子一分。
将上述药物研磨成细末，用甘草膏子和丸。每两药做成四百丸。每次含化一丸，咽下津液。常服可化痰利膈、生津止渴。
治疗咽喉肿塞
取巴豆一个，去皮，纳入葱茎中，用火煨熟，取出豆子，去掉葱，将豆子切成两边。
右边塞扎右侧鼻孔，左边塞扎左侧鼻孔。
又方：治疗咽喉不通
取白矾末、胆矾末。
以上药物等分，共同研磨极细，用笔筒吹入喉中。或者用水调成稠状，涂抹在舌根上，脓血破出则愈。
第一炉
密陀僧、黄丹各一两，水银三铢，金箔两叶。
先将药材以盐泥固济炉子，将一叶金箔置于炉下，将上述药材细细研磨至极细，铺在炉中，盖上另一叶金箔，用大火。
第二炉
代赭半两，白矾、砂各三铢，硝石一两半（明净者），蛇蜕三铢（置于炉底）。
按照前法，用大火烧至通红为止，取下放置良久，放冷。
第三用法例
将前两炉得到的药物在乳钵内滚研均匀，用笔筒盛取少许，吹在咽喉处。一顿饭的时间后再吹一次，涎水和哽物自出。一切喉痛皆治，立竿见影。
川甜硝散
治疗咽喉突发疾病。
取川甜硝、重楼金线草、板蓝根、白茯苓、蒲黄、紫河车、柏叶煎、贯众各半两，莲子心。
将上述药物研磨成细末。如果咽喉壅肿、缠喉风，干掺并咽下津液，不限时间。
Cao San (Grass Powder)
Indicated for wind-induced gingival swelling and pain.
Take Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) and Cao (Herba Siegesbeckiae) (each 0.5 fen).
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder, add a small amount of Shexiang (Musk), and use 1.5 qian per dose. Decoct with one cup of water until reduced to 0.8 cup. Hold the warm liquid in the mouth and spit it out when cool.
Wutonglü San (Euonymus Powder)
Indicated for loose teeth, receding gums, and continuous bleeding.
Take Wutonglü (Fructus Euonymi), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Digupi (Cortex Lycii), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) (each 1 liang), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix) (0.5 liang), Cao (Herba Siegesbeckiae), and Xiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) (each 1 liang).
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder. Use 0.5 qian per dose to rub on the teeth. After meals, rinse the mouth and spit out the liquid when cool.
Chenxiang San (Agarwood Powder)
Indicated for severe cold toothache in the elderly that is unbearable.
Take Chenxiang (Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum), Chuan Shengma ( Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Digupi (Cortex Lycii) (each 1 liang), and Hei Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata - raw) (1 fen).
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder. Use 1 qian per dose with white boiled water. Spit out when the temperature becomes lukewarm and cool.
Dihuang San (Rehmannia Powder)
Indicated for loose teeth and pain triggered by hot or cold drinks.
Take Gan Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Preparata), Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Qingyan (Halitum), Lvhui (Aloe), and Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) in equal proportions.
Finely chop and mix the above herbs evenly. Use 1 liang of the mixture per dose, decoct with one large cup of water and one cup of wine until reduced to 1.5 cups. Strain and hold the hot liquid near the loose teeth for a long time before spitting out.
Da Wutonglü San (Large Euonymus Powder)
Indicated for all types of wind causing tooth mobility and pain, and for strengthening teeth.
Take Wutonglü (Fructus Euonymi), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix) (each 0.5 liang), Sheng Gan Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Recens), Binglang (Arecae Semen), and Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) (each 2 fen), Dingxiang (Caryophylli Flos), and Xionghuang (Realgar) (each 1 fen).
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder, add Xionghuang (Realgar), and grind again to ensure uniformity. After each meal and before sleep, first rinse the mouth with warm water, then apply a small amount of the powder to the painful area. It can be used at other times as well.
Treatment for Toothache
Take Badou (Crotonis Fructus) (one bean, burnt until charred, ground with peel) and Hujiao (Piperis Longi Fructus) (seven beans, ground into fine powder, mixed with Badou).
Rub the powder onto the painful area to stop pain immediately. Alternatively, mix with wax, roll into a stick, and insert into the tooth gap to relieve pain.
Throat Region
Wuyou San (Carefree Powder)
Indicated for various diseases caused by heat-toxin rushing up to the throat.
Take Choulou Jinxiancao (Paris Polyphyllae Rhizoma), Tiantiao (Natrii Sulfas Crystallisatus), Banlangen (Isatidis Radix), Fuling (Poria), Puhuang (Typhae Pollen), Zihewan (Placentae Humanae), Baiyaojian (Fermentum Medicinale), Guanzhong (Cyathulae Rhizoma), Lianzixin (Nelumbinis Plumula), Bai Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus), and Xiaodou (Vigna Angularis Semen Rubrum).
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder. Take 1-2 qian per dose after meals, mixed with honey water. It can also be formed into honey pills for sucking.
Xijiao San (Rhinoceros Horn Powder)
Indicated for toxic qi accumulation in the throat causing unceasing pain and inability to swallow liquids.
Take Xijiao (Rhinocerotis Cornu), Chenxiang (Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum), Mayaxiao (Natrii Sulfas Crystallisatus), Jishexiang (Styrax), Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix), Xunluxiang (Olibanum), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix) (each 0.5 liang), and Chuan Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma).
Crush the above herbs into coarse powder. Take 3 qian per dose, decoct with one cup of water and fourteen Zhuoye (Phyllostachys Nigra Folium) leaves until reduced to 0.6 cup. Strain and take warm at any time.
Foshou San (Buddha's Hand Powder)
Indicated for various diseases of sore and swollen throat, also known as Wuyou San.
Take Longnao (Borneolum Syntheticum), Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba), Baiyaojian (Fermentum Medicinale), Yanxiao (Natrii Sulfas Crystallisatus) (each 2 fen), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis) (each 4 fen), Mapibo (Polyporus Umbellatus), and Puxiao (Natrii Sulfas) (each 0.5 liang).
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder. Apply dry powder directly to the affected area. Also treats red mouth ulcers; use 3-5 times a day. (Alternatively, dry Lashiteng (Trichosanthes Kirilowii Caulis) in shade, grind into powder, decoct with water, and gargle for severe sore throat.)
Sheng Dihuang San (Fresh Rehmannia Powder)
Indicated for sores inside the throat and continuous blood in saliva.
Take Sheng Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Recens), Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix) (each 1.5 liang), Jisu miao (Elsholtziae Spica), Chi Fuling (Poria cum Rubro), Xuanshen (Scrophulariae Radix) (each 1 liang), and Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (0.5 liang).
Crush the above herbs into coarse powder. Take 3 qian per dose, decoct with one cup of water and 1 fen of Zhuru (Bambusae Caulis in Taenia) until reduced to 0.6 cup. Strain and drink warm at any time.
Qiangweigen San (Rose Root Powder)
Indicated for oral and lingual ulcers caused by stagnant heat qi.
Take Qiangweigenpi (Rosae Rugosae Cortex) (1 liang), Chuan Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma) (3 fen), Sheng Gan Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Recens), Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex) (each 0.5 liang), and Qianbaishuang (Plumbi Subcarbonas) (1 qian).
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder, add Qianbaishuang (Plumbi Subcarbonas), and grind uniformly. Take 2 qian per dose, decoct with one large cup of water and half a spoonful of honey until reduced to 0.7 cup. Gargle thoroughly and spit out when cool. If ineffective, continue using the powder.
Shensheng Chuihou San (Divine Throat-Blowing Powder)
Indicated for rapid-onset throat closure (Zouma Hou Bi) and throat swelling/pain, with immediate effect.
Take Lu'erqing (Atropi Fructus), Bai Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus), Yanxiao (Saltpeter), and Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (each 2 liang).
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder. Take one ox gall from December, extract the juice, mix with the medicine, refill into the gallbladder, and dry in a ventilated place for 100 days. Remove, grind finely, and blow into the throat each time.
Chuihou San (Throat-Blowing Powder)
Indicated for throat obstruction.
Take Tonglü (Cupri Acetas), Danfan (Alumen), Bai Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus), and Puxiao (Natrii Sulfas).
Equal parts, finely ground in a mortar, and blown into the throat. Miraculous effect.
Pengsha San (Borax Powder)
Indicated for throat closure with obstruction.
Take Pengsha (Borax), Kufan (Alumen Ustumsn), Shepi (Serpentis Cutis), and Zaojiaoci (Gleditsiae Sinensis Spina) (burned, each 0.5 liang).
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder. Blow a small amount into the throat each time. Bleeding indicates efficacy.
Xiao Pengsha San (Small Borax Powder)
Indicated for sore and swollen throat, throat closure with airway obstruction, and critical condition.
Take Pengsha (Borax), Mayaxiao (Natrii Sulfas Crystallisatus) (each 1 liang), Baifan (Alumen), and Longnao (Borneolum Syntheticum) (a little).
Grind the above herbs uniformly, mix with bile from a crucian carp caught in December, fill into pig bladder skin, dry in shade, remove, and grind into fine powder. Blow a "yi zi" amount into the throat. Crucian carp bile is not strictly necessary if unavailable.
Xiaodu San (Detoxification Powder)
Indicated for sore throat and ulcers in adults and children, and for promoting eruption and detoxifying the skin in pediatric exanthems.
Take Niubangzi (Arctii Fructus) (6 liang), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (2 liang), Jingjie Sui (Schizonepetae Spica) (1 liang).
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder. Take 1 qian per dose, decoct with a small cup of water until reduced to 0.7 cup. Take warm at any time.
Xionghuang San (Realgar Powder)
Indicated for Chan Hou (winding throat) wind patterns.
Take Wugong (Centipedae Corpus) (one, remove feet and head, grind into powder) and Xionghuang (Realgar) (1 fen, ground).
Grind together into a fine powder. Take a "yi zi" or half a qian per dose, mix with cold water, dip a chicken wing feather, and sweep the throat. This is the primary treatment for all throat diseases and rotten, bleeding teeth in the entire mouth.
Treatment for Chan Hou Feng (Winding Throat Wind)
Take Bai Jiangcan Mo (Powder of Bombyx Batryticatus).
Mix with Jiangzhi (Zingiberis Recens Juice) to form a paste, then mix with warm wine for administration.
Treatment for Throat Closure with Inability to Breathe
Take raw Badou (Crotonis Fructus), keep the peel, sharpen to expose the flesh, pierce with a wooden needle, bite down to close lips, allowing air to escape through the hole made by the Badou needle. The obstruction will gradually clear.
Lufengfang San (Honeycomb Powder)
Indicated for heat-toxin blockage in the throat during febrile diseases, causing swelling and pain.
Take Lufengfang (Vespa Nidus), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Shegan (Belamcandae Rhizoma), Chuan Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Chuan Puxiao (Natrii Sulfas), and Xuanshen (Scrophulariae Radix) (each 0.5 liang).
Crush the above herbs into coarse powder. Take 3 qian per dose, decoct with one cup of water until reduced by 0.5 cup. Strain and take warm at any time.
Qianshuang San (Lead Frost Powder)
Indicated for sore and swollen throat with difficulty swallowing during febrile diseases.
Take Qianshuang (Plumbi Subcarbonas), Pengsha (Borax), Mayaxiao (Natrii Sulfas Crystallisatus) (each 1 fen), Chuan Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Huangyao (Dioscoreae Hypoglaucae Rhizoma), Dilong (Pheretima), Hanshuishi (Hydrocerussite), Shetuipi (Serpentis Cutis), Niuhuang (Bovis Calculus), and Taiyin Xuanjingshi (Mineralum Nigrum).
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder. Take 1 qian per dose at any time, mixed with fresh drawn water.
Pengsha Wan (Borax Pill)
Indicated for sore and swollen throat, difficulty swallowing, and oral/lingual ulcers.
Take Hanshuishi (Hydrocerussite) (50 liang), Pengsha (Borax) (10 liang), Naoli (Camphora) (2 fen), Shexiang (Moschus) (1 liang), Yanxiao (Natrii Sulfas Crystallisatus) (2 liang), Meihua Naoli (Camphora) (1 fen).
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder, mix with Gancao Gao (Licorice Paste) to form pills. Each liang makes 400 pills. Suck one pill per dose, swallowing the saliva. Regular use resolves phlegm, benefits the diaphragm, generates fluids, and relieves thirst.
Treatment for Swollen and Blocked Throat
Take one Badou (Crotonis Fructus), remove peel, insert into green onion stem, roast over fire until cooked. Remove bean, discard onion, cut bean into two halves.
Insert the right half into the right nostril and the left half into the left nostril.
Another Prescription for Throat Obstruction
Take Baifan Mo (Powder of Alumen) and Danfan Mo (Powder of Alumen Vitriol).
Equal parts, ground together extremely finely. Blow into the throat using a brush tube. Alternatively, mix with water to a thick consistency and smear on the root of the tongue. Pus and blood will break out and heal.
Jinbo San (Gold Leaf Powder)
Indicated for throat closure, winding throat wind, and various foreign bodies stuck in the throat.
First Furnace
Mituo seng (Litharge), Huangdan (Minium) (each 1 liang), Shuiyin (Mercurius), Jinbo (Folium Auricum) (two leaves).
First, seal the furnace with salt mud. Place one leaf of gold foil under the furnace. Grind the above herbs extremely finely, spread them in the furnace, cover with another leaf of gold foil, and use high fire.
Second Furnace
Daizhe (Haematitum) (0.5 liang), Baifan (Alumen), Sha (Arsenolite) (each 3 zhu), Xiaoshi (Nitrums) (1.5 liang, pure), Shetui (Serpentis Exuvies) (3 zhu, placed at the bottom of the furnace).
Follow the previous method, use high fire until red hot, remove, let cool for a long time.
Third Usage Method
Roll the medicines obtained from the two furnaces in a mortar until uniform. Store in a brush tube. Blow a small amount into the throat. Blow again after one meal. Saliva and foreign bodies will come out naturally. All throat pains are treated with immediate effect.
Chuantianxiao San (Sweet Nitrate Powder)
Indicated for unpredictable throat diseases.
Take Chuantianxiao (Natrii Sulfatis), Choulou Jinxiancao (Paris Polyphyllae Rhizoma), Banlangen (Isatidis Radix), Bai Fuling (Poria), Puhuang (Typhae Pollen), Zihewan (Placentae Humanae), Baiyejian (Fermentum Medicinale), Guanzhong (Cyathulae Rhizoma) (each 0.5 liang), and Lianzixin (Nelumbinis Plumula).
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder. For throat congestion, swelling, or winding throat wind, apply dry powder and swallow saliva at any time.
Another Prescription
Take Guanzhong (Cyathulae Rhizoma), Fuling (Poria), Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix), Mapibo (Polyporus Umbellatus), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Ejiao (Colla Corii Asini), and Baiyaojian (Fermentum Medicinale) in equal proportions.
Mix with honey to form a paste for sucking. Take an amount the size of a soap nut at any time.
