The herbs are ground into a fine powder. Each dose is one *zi* (a traditional unit of measurement, approx. 0.3-0.5g), taken with decoction from *Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus* (Stinkbean Pod). It can be taken at any time. It treats hard masses formed in the abdomen, emaciation with dark complexion resembling firewood, vomiting due to food stagnation. Take three times daily after meals.
**Sheng Bing Zi (Holy Pill)**: Treats all types of qi stagnation and distension caused by sedimentation, fullness of qi in both hypochondriac regions, regardless of whether the condition is new or chronic.
*Rhei Radix et Rhizoma* (3 liang), *Semen Sterculiae Lychnophorae* (head powder, 1 liang), *Nuo Sha* (Sal Ammoniac, 3 qian), *Gardeniae Fructus* (0.5 liang), *Qing Fen* (Calomel, 2 qian).
Grind the above ingredients into powder, mix with refined honey to form pills, shape them into cakes similar in size and thickness to small copper coins. After meals, take three cakes per dose, chew thoroughly, and swallow with warm wine. Take before retiring to bed. If diarrhea occurs, replenish with congee. Adjust dosage according to deficiency or excess patterns.
**Wu You San (Carefree Powder)** (also known as Wan Bing San / Ten Thousand Disease Powder): Treats wind diseases, sores, swellings, scabies, and tinea; or cold accumulation in the zang-fu organs, qi stagnation and knotting, wind-lao (chronic wasting disease), chronic cold in the bladder, decline of zang-fu function, sallow complexion, internal pi-masses (accumulations) and qi binding, presence of intestinal parasites such as roundworms and pinworms, pain attacking both heart and abdomen, sudden onset of cold damage with unbearable headache, symptoms resembling mountain miasma or epidemic febrile diseases. In all these cases, this medicine should be taken urgently. After taking it, having three to five bowel movements will lead to immediate recovery. Or for stroke causing facial paralysis, speech impediment, and drooling during sleep, take it regardless of time, for men or women, once every five days. Not more than three doses will ensure permanent cure.
For those suffering from pain in the waist and knees, swelling and fullness of the legs (jiaogong / gouty arthritis), difficulty in movement, loss of taste in food, as well as children with gan-disease (malnutrition syndrome), dysentery, and rectal prolapse, administer according to age and size. Having three to five bowel movements will lead to natural recovery. For adults with chronic diarrhea or qi-dysentery resembling intermittent dysentery which stops intermittently, a single dose will expel one to two sheng of cold pus, showing effect on the same day. This medicine is suitable for patients of all ages and constitutions, in all seasons, hot or cold, effectively eliminating pathogens. Taking other medicines concurrently causes no harm. Regular use works by extracting stagnation, parasites, and pus from the zang-fu organs. Pregnant women are excluded. Those with long-term blood deficiency and qi weakness, presenting with sallow complexion and fatigue, may also follow this prescription. It promotes the circulation of qi and blood without causing fatigue. It treats all hundred diseases; its merits cannot be fully recorded. However, pregnant women, or during cloudy/dark weather, should not take it; it may be taken when the weather is clear. If the disease recurs but has not fully resolved, it may be taken again.
*Tetrapaninis Plastrum* (Mu Tong - note: historical text often refers to Akebia stem here, modern standard is Tetrapaninis Plastrum for Mu Tong, but context suggests diuretic herb like *Akebiae Caulis* or *Aristolochiae Manshuriensis Radix* historically misnamed; sticking to WHO term for character present: *Tetrapaninis Plastrum*), *Morus Cortex* (Sang Bai Pi), *Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium* (Chen Pi) (each 1 liang), *Piperis Longi Fructus* (Hu Jiao), *Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma* (Bai Zhu), *Costi Radix* (Mu Xiang) (each 0.5 liang), *Semen Sterculiae Lychnophorae* (Bai Qian Niu) (4 liang, stir-fried, separately take head powder).
