Treats men and women suffering from chronic cough, lung asthma with rapid breathing, leaning on objects to breathe, unable to lie down and sleep. It is also suitable for cough. Xingren (Apricot Seed, *Prunus armeniaca* L., skin and tip removed, stir-fried, ground separately), Madouling (*Aristolochia debilis* Sieb. et Zucc.), Chantui (Cicada Slough, *Cryptotympana pustulata* Fabricius, washed to remove dirt, legs, and wings, stir-fried, each 1 liang), Pi (Arsenic Trioxide, *As2O3*, 2 qian, ground separately). The above ingredients are made into powder, mixed with steamed jujube pulp to form pills the size of sesame seeds. Take 6-7 pills per dose, administered with cooled scallion-tea water before bedtime. Avoid hot foods.

Treats chest fullness, rapid breathing, and inability to lie down and sleep.
Xinluo Renshen (Korean Ginseng Root, *Panax ginseng* C.A.Mey., about 1 cun in length, sliced), Hutao (Walnut Kernel, *Juglans regia* L., five nuts, flesh taken, sliced).
This constitutes one dose. Use a small cup of water and 5 slices of fresh ginger, decoct until three-quarters of the liquid remains, strain, and take warm before bedtime.

Treats chronic lung asthma, incessant cough, and inability to sleep; administration brings immediate relief.
Xingren (Apricot Seed, *Prunus armeniaca* L., skin and tip removed), Hutao Rou (Walnut Kernel, *Juglans regia* L.).
Equal parts, ground into a paste, add a small amount of refined honey, and form pills the size of bullet shots. Take one or two pills per dose, chew thoroughly, and swallow with ginger-infused water after meals and before bedtime.

There are six types of fluid retention (Yin, 饮): Xuan Yin (Hanging Fluid Retention), Yi Yin (Overflowing Fluid Retention), Zhi Yin (Supporting Fluid Retention), Tan Yin (Phlegm-Fluid Retention), Liu Yin (Stagnant Fluid Retention), and Fu Yin (Hidden Fluid Retention). Chao Shi recorded these in detail. Pang Anchang said: "The human body does not have phlegm that flows upward against gravity, nor does the world have water that flows upstream." This statement is truly correct. Reflecting on this, the airways in the human body must be smooth; if smooth, body fluids circulate freely, and phlegm will certainly not form. Regarding cough, it is not without cause from Phlegm-Fluid... or diuresis... this is fixed... differentiation and guidance come next, which also has its significance. Wang Shuhe believed that cold causes evil fluids to overflow upward. Using Shan Zhu Yu (Cornus Officinalis Fruit, *Cornus officinalis* Sieb. et Zucc.) in between is also appropriate. At the time of clinical practice, further careful examination is required. Evil pathogens affect the skin and hair, which belong to the Lung; wind-cold enters through the Xu Fu (pores/interstices); cold transforms into heat, and heat generates phlegm leading to asthma and fullness, which is Lung Heat.

Treats all types of Phlegm-Jue (Phlegm-induced syncope), dizziness and vertigo of the head and eyes, or Phlegm-Fluid stagnation and accumulation that does not dissipate, chest and diaphragm stuffiness and obstruction, distension and fullness of the hypochondrium, headache, vomiting and regurgitation, rapid breathing, thick and sticky sputum and nasal discharge, restlessness in sitting and lying, yet appetite remains.
Banxia (Pinellia Tuber, *Pinellia ternata* (Thunb.) Breit., soaked in boiling water seven times, 4 liang), Tiannanxing (Arisaema Rhizome, *Arisaema erubescens* (Wall.) Schott., processed, skin removed), Juhong (Exocarpium Citri Reticulatae), Zhishi (Immature Bitter Orange Fruit, *Citrus aurantium* L., pith removed, stir-fried with bran), Chi Fuling (Red Poria, *Poria cocos* (Schw.) Wolf, skin removed, each 1 liang), Gancao (Licorice Root, *Glycyrrhiza uralensis* Fisch., honey-roasted, 0.5 liang).
The above ingredients are chopped. Take 4 qian per dose, with 2 cups of water and 10 slices of fresh ginger, decoct until 0.8 cups remain, strain, and take warm after meals.
