防风 荆芥 薄荷 白芷（各一钱五分） 升麻（八分） 黄芩 黄连（各二钱） 甘草（五
分）葱头二枚食后温服。
清胃汤 治胃中积热。平昔喜酒者。
石膏（ 熟三钱） 白芷 升麻（各一钱） 干葛 黄柏（各二钱） 甘草（五分）
水煎食后服。
神妙饮 治牙疼不可忍。牵引头面。发热发肿者。
生地 当归 细辛（各一钱五分） 骨碎补 防风 赤芍 川芎 槐花（各二钱） 升麻
知母（各一钱）水煎温服。
蠲痛饮 治牙齿疼痛。浮动出血。
甘菊（二钱） 大黄 石膏（ 各三钱） 竹茹 防风（各一钱）
水煎温服。
又方 治齿疼。并出血。
青盐四两误过。淬竹沥中取起炙干。又淬又炙。收尽竹沥四钟为度。朝朝擦之。
又方 治齿缝出血不止。
竹茹四两。醋浸一宿少少含之。其血即止。
定疼散 治虫牙作痛。不可忍者。
细茶叶 朴硝 白芷 细辛 钟乳石 花椒（各一两） 冰片 麝香（各八分）
为末。每日早晚擦之。
三黄丸 治一切火痛。（方见三消门）
又方 治牙根摇动欲落。
石膏（四两） 青盐 北细辛 羊胫骨 白芷（各一两） 雄鼠骨（五钱）
上为末。清晨擦。有涎水时。多噙多漱。如有摇动者。将牙咬定擦之。自然坚固。
乌须固齿神妙散（秘授）
当归 生地 母丁香 子丁香 青盐 旱莲草 细辛 没食子 茯神（去皮为末以桑椹
取汁浸晒九次各等分）
上为细末。清晨擦牙。即用滚水多漱咽下，未白者永不白已。白者擦上半载须发皆黑。
齿牙坚牢。
珍珠散 治走马牙疳。
人中白（二钱） 铜青（五分） 珍珠 麝香 牛黄（各三分） 南枣（ 灰六分）
上为极细末。吹于患处。
神秘丹 治牙疼立止。
真川椒 雄黄 蟾酥 麝香 荜茇（各等分）
上为极细末。以枣肉拌药为丸。如黍米大。塞一丸于患处。其虫化为黄水。
右关脉象洪大且数。这是胃火向上炎升的表现。脉象浮而洪大，说明是风热之邪所致；尺脉洪大但按之空虚，表明肾经精气不足，主要症状表现为牙齿松动动摇，相火上升引发疼痛。现制定以下方剂：
祛风抑火汤：治疗牙缝肿胀疼痛。
处方：防风、荆芥、薄荷、白芷（各一钱五分），升麻（八分），黄芩、黄连（各二钱），甘草（五分）。葱头两个。饭后温服。
清胃汤：治疗胃中积热。平时喜欢饮酒的人适用。
处方：石膏（煅熟三钱），白芷、升麻（各一钱），干葛、黄柏（各二钱），甘草（五分）。水煎煮，饭后服用。
神妙饮：治疗剧烈难忍的牙疼，并牵引至头面部，伴有发热和肿胀的情况。
处方：生地、当归、细辛（各一钱五分），骨碎补、防风、赤芍、川芎、槐花（各二钱），升麻、知母（各一钱）。水煎煮，温服。
蠲痛饮：治疗牙齿疼痛，松动出血。
处方：甘菊（二钱），大黄、石膏（各三钱），竹茹、防风（各一钱）。水煎煮，温服。
又一方：治疗牙疼及出血。
方法：取青盐四两，反复在竹沥中浸淬后炙烤干燥，如此反复直至吸尽四钟竹沥为止。每日早晨擦拭牙齿。
又一方：治疗牙缝出血不止。
方法：取竹茹四两，用醋浸泡一夜，少量含漱于口中，出血即可停止。
定疼散：治疗虫牙引起的剧烈疼痛，难以忍受。
处方：细茶叶、朴硝、白芷、细辛、钟乳石、花椒（各一两），冰片、麝香（各八分）。研为细末，每天早晚擦拭患处。
三黄丸：治疗一切因火邪引起的疼痛。（方剂详情见“三消”章节）
又一方：治疗牙根松动欲脱落。
处方：石膏（四两），青盐、北细辛、羊胫骨、白芷（各一两），雄鼠骨（五钱）。
制法：以上药物研为细末。清晨时擦拭牙齿。若有唾液分泌，应多含漱。如果牙齿有松动，咬紧该牙进行擦拭，牙齿自然会变得坚固。
乌须固齿神妙散（秘传）
处方：当归、生地、母丁香、子丁香、青盐、旱莲草、细辛、没食子、茯神（去皮研为细末，用桑椹汁浸泡后晾晒九次，各药等分）。
制法：研为极细末。清晨刷牙后，立即用滚水大量漱口并咽下。头发未变白的永不变白，已经变白的，坚持擦拭半年，须发都会变黑，牙齿坚固牢靠。
珍珠散：治疗走马牙疳（一种严重的牙龈坏死性疾病）。
处方：人中白（二钱），铜青（五分），珍珠、麝香、牛黄（各三分），南枣（烧灰六分）。
制法：研为极细末，吹敷于患处。
神秘丹：治疗牙疼立即停止。
处方：真川椒、雄黄、蟾酥、麝香、荜茇（各等分）。
制法：研为极细末，用枣肉拌药制成如黍米大小的丸药。塞一粒丸药于患处，虫牙会化为黄水流出。
The pulse at the right Guan position is surging (Hong) and rapid (Shu). This indicates Stomach Fire flaring upward. A floating and surging pulse suggests Wind-Heat; a surging yet empty pulse at the Chi position indicates insufficiency of the Kidney Meridian, primarily manifesting as loose teeth and pain caused by the rising of Ministerial Fire. The following prescriptions are formulated:
Qufeng Yihuo Tang (Wind-Dispersing and Fire-Suppressing Decoction): Treats swelling and pain in the dental fissures.
Ingredients: Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Jingjie (Schizonepetae Herba), Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix) (each 1.5 qian); Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma) (0.8 qian); Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma) (each 2 qian); Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (0.5 qian); Congtou (Allii Cepae Bulbus) (2 pieces). Take warm after meals.
Qingwei Tang (Stomach-Clearing Decoction): Treats accumulated heat in the Stomach. Suitable for those who habitually enjoy drinking alcohol.
Ingredients: Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum) (calcined, 3 qian); Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma) (each 1 qian); Qiange (Puerariae Lobatae Radix), Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex) (each 2 qian); Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (0.5 qian). Decoct in water and take after meals.
Shenmiao Yin (Miraculous Drink): Treats unbearable toothache radiating to the head and face, accompanied by fever and swelling.
Ingredients: Shengdi (Rehmanniae Radix), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) (each 1.5 qian); Gusuibu (Drynariae Rhizoma), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Chishao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Huaihua (Sophorae Flos) (each 2 qian); Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Zhimu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma) (each 1 qian). Decoct in water and take warm.
Juan Tong Yin (Pain-Relieving Drink): Treats toothache, loosening, and bleeding.
Ingredients: Ganju (Chrysanthemi Flos) (2 qian); Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum) (each 3 qian); Zhuru (Bambusae Caulis in Taenia), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) (each 1 qian). Decoct in water and take warm.
Another Prescription: Treats toothache and bleeding.
Method: Take Qingyan (Halitum) 4 liang. Repeatedly quench it in Zhuli (Bamboo Sap) and roast until dry. Repeat this process until all four zhong of bamboo sap are absorbed. Rub onto the teeth every morning.
Another Prescription: Treats continuous bleeding from dental fissures.
Method: Take Zhuru (Bambusae Caulis in Taenia) 4 liang. Soak in vinegar overnight. Hold a small amount in the mouth; the bleeding will stop immediately.
Dingteng San (Pain-Stopping Powder): Treats unbearable pain caused by carious teeth (worm teeth).
Ingredients: Xi chaye (Fine tea leaves), Puxiao (Natrii Sulfas), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Zhongrusshi (Stalactitum), Huajiao (Zanthoxyli Pericarpium) (each 1 liang); Bingpian (Borneolum Syntheticum), Shexiang (Moschus) (each 0.8 fen). Grind into fine powder. Rub onto the affected area morning and evening.
Sanhuang Wan (Three-Yellow Pill): Treats all types of pain caused by fire. (See the "San Xiao" section for the formula details.)
Another Prescription: Treats loose tooth roots that are about to fall out.
Ingredients: Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum) (4 liang); Qingyan (Halitum), Beixixin (Northern Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Yangjinggu (Ossis Tibiae Ovis), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix) (each 1 liang); Xiongshugu (Ossis Mus Musculi Masculini) (5 qian).
Preparation: Grind all ingredients into fine powder. Rub onto the teeth early in the morning. When saliva is produced, rinse frequently. If teeth are loose, bite down firmly on the affected tooth while rubbing; the teeth will naturally become firm.
Wuxu Guchi Shenmiao San (Black-Hair and Tooth-Fortifying Miraculous Powder) (Secretly Transmitted)
Ingredients: Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Shengdi (Rehmanniae Radix), Mudingxiang (Mother Clove Bud), Zidingxiang (Son Clove Bud), Qingyan (Halitum), Hanliancao (Ecliptae Herba), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Moshizi (Myrobalan), Fushen (Poria with Hostwood) (remove skin and grind into powder; soak in Mulberry Fruit Juice and sun-dry nine times; equal parts of each).
Preparation: Grind into fine powder. Brush teeth early in the morning, then rinse thoroughly with boiling water and swallow. Hair that has not turned white will never turn white; hair that has already turned white will turn black again after half a year of application. Teeth will become firm and strong.
Zhenzhu San (Pearl Powder): Treats Zouma Yagan (Gangrenous Gingivitis).
Ingredients: Renzhongbai (Urinae Humanis Deposition) (2 qian); Tongqing (Aeruginis Crusta) (0.5 fen); Zhenzhu (Margarita), Shexiang (Moschus), Niuhuang (Calculus Bovis) (each 0.3 fen); Nanzao (Jujubae Fructus) (burned to ash, 0.6 fen).
Preparation: Grind into extremely fine powder. Blow onto the affected area.
Shenmi Dan (Divine Mystery Pill): Stops toothache immediately.
Ingredients: Zhen Chuanjiao (True Sichuan Pepper), Xionghuang (Realgar), Chansu (Toad Venom), Shexiang (Moschus), Bibo (Long Pepper Fruit) (equal parts).
Preparation: Grind into extremely fine powder. Mix with jujube pulp to form pills the size of millet seeds. Insert one pill into the affected area. The "worms" will transform into yellow fluid.
