十全大补汤 治脑痈已溃之后。脓水出多。气血两虚精神短少。饮食少进。烦燥不眠。
日晡潮热。（方见发背门）
平肺饮 治肺痈初起。咳嗽气急。胸中隐隐作痛。呕吐脓痰。
人参 麦门冬 赤芍 槟榔 赤茯苓 陈皮 桔梗（各一钱） 甘草（五分） 水煎食远服
清肺饮 治肺痈咳吐脓痰。胸膈胀痛。上气喘急发热。
银柴胡 玄参 陈皮 桔梗（各一钱） 白茯苓 地骨皮 麦门冬 薏苡仁 人参 甘草
栝蒌仁（各八分） 灯心三十茎。煎八分。食远服。
排脓散 治肺痈已吐腥臭之痰。服此排脓补肺。
黄 白芷 北五味 人参（各三钱）
上为细末。每服三钱食后白滚汤调下。
八宝饮 治肺痈。咳嗽日久。痰带腥臭。身热虚羸。
白茯苓 桔梗 贝母 人参 北五味 天门冬 胡黄连 熟地（各等分） 水煎食后服。
黄连救苦汤：治疗脑痈初起，表现为憎寒发热，头、面、耳、项部全部肿胀。服用此方后症状可立即消除。
[组成] 黄连、赤芍、桔梗、金银花（各一钱五分）；升麻（八分）；柴胡、干葛、川芎、当归尾（各一钱）。
保安汤：治疗脑痈已经溃破流脓，内部疼痛，饮食减少。
[组成] 黄芪、麦门冬、藿香（各一钱二分）；当归、白茯苓、川芎（各一钱五分）；桔梗、半夏、陈皮、白术、甘草、人参（各一钱）；黑枣五枚。饭后煎服。
飞龙夺命丹：治疗脑痈初起，表现为洒淅恶寒（怕冷颤抖），头脑胀痛。口服两次。（方剂见前文）
十全大补汤：治疗脑痈溃破之后，脓水流出过多，导致气血两虚，精神短少，饮食摄入减少，烦躁不眠，日晡潮热（下午3-5点发热加重）。（方剂见发背门）
平肺饮：治疗肺痈初起，表现为咳嗽气急，胸中隐隐作痛，呕吐脓痰。
[组成] 人参、麦门冬、赤芍、槟榔、赤茯苓、陈皮、桔梗（各一钱）；甘草（五分）。用水煎煮，饭后服用。
清肺饮：治疗肺痈咳吐脓痰，胸膈胀痛，上气喘急，发热。
[组成] 银柴胡、玄参、陈皮、桔梗（各一钱）；白茯苓、地骨皮、麦门冬、薏苡仁、人参、甘草、栝蒌仁（各八分）；灯心草三十茎。煎至药液剩余八分，饭后服用。
排脓散：治疗肺痈已吐出腥臭之痰，服用此方以排脓并补益肺气。
[组成] 黄芪、白芷、北五味子、人参（各三钱）。
[用法] 研为细末。每次服用三钱，饭后用白开水调服。
八宝饮：治疗肺痈，咳嗽日久，痰带腥臭味，身体发热且虚弱消瘦。
[组成] 白茯苓、桔梗、贝母、人参、北五味子、天门冬、胡黄连、熟地黄（各等分）。用水煎煮，饭后服用。
Huanglian Jiuku Tang (Coptis Decoction for Saving from Suffering): Treats early-stage brain abscess (nao yong) presenting with aversion to cold and fever, with swelling of the head, face, ears, and neck. Symptoms are relieved immediately after administration.
[Composition]: Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Chishao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra), Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix), Jinyinhua (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos) (each 1.5 qian); Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma) (0.8 qian); Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix), Gange (Puerariae Radix), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Dangguiwei (Angelicae Sinensis Radix tail) (each 1 qian).
Bao'an Tang (Peace-preserving Decoction): Treats brain abscess that has already ulcerated and discharged pus, accompanied by internal pain and reduced appetite.
[Composition]: Huangqi (Astragali Radix), Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix), Huoxiang (Agastachis Herba) (each 1.2 qian); Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Baifuling (Poria), Chuanxiong (each 1.5 qian); Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix), Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma), Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) (each 1 qian); Heizao (Jujubae Fructus) 5 pieces. Decoct and take after meals.
Feilong Duoming Dan (Flying Dragon Snatching Life Pill): Treats early-stage brain abscess, presenting with chills and shivering (shaxi ehan) and distending pain in the head. Take orally twice. (Formula see previous section)
Shiquan Dabu Tang (Perfect Ten Tonifying Decoction): Treats post-ulceration stage of brain abscess, where excessive discharge of pus leads to deficiency of both qi and blood, shortness of spirit, reduced food intake, irritability, insomnia, and tidal fever at dusk (ribu chaore). (Formula see Fa Bei Men section)
Pingfei Yin (Lung-Pacifying Drink): Treats early-stage lung abscess (feiyong), presenting with cough and rapid breathing, dull pain in the chest, and vomiting of purulent sputum.
[Composition]: Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix), Chishao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra), Binglang (Arecae Semen), Chifuling (Poria with Red Host), Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix) (each 1 qian); Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (0.5 qian). Decoct in water and take after meals.
Qingfei Yin (Lung-Clearing Drink): Treats lung abscess with expectoration of purulent sputum, distending pain in the chest and diaphragm, wheezing and rapid breathing, and fever.
[Composition]: Yinchaihu (Cynanchi Stauntonii Radix), Xuanshen (Scrophulariae Radix), Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix) (each 1 qian); Baifuling (Poria), Digupi (Lycii Cortex), Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix), Yiyiren (Coicis Semen), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Gualouren (Trichosanthis Semen) (each 0.8 qian); Dengxincao (Junci Medulla) 30 stems. Decoct until one-eighth remains, and take after meals.
Painong San (Pus-Discharging Powder): Treats lung abscess where foul-smelling sputum has been vomited; this formula discharges pus and tonifies lung qi.
[Composition]: Huangqi (Astragali Radix), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Bei Wuwei (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) (each 3 qian).
[Usage]: Grind into fine powder. Take 3 qian per dose, mixed with plain boiled water after meals.
Babao Yin (Eight-Treasure Drink): Treats lung abscess with long-standing cough, sputum with a foul odor, body heat, and emaciation due to deficiency.
[Composition]: Baifuling (Poria), Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix), Beimu (Fritillariae Bulbus), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Bei Wuwei (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus), Tianmendong (Asparagi Radix), Huhuanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma variant or related herb), Shudi (Rehmanniae Radix Preparata) (equal parts). Decoct in water and take after meals.
