Commentary states: If there is a sensation in the throat as if there were a piece of roasted meat, which cannot be swallowed down nor spat out, it is caused by stomach cold invading the lung. When both the lung and stomach are cold, body fluids condense to form phlegm (Tan, Phlegm), causing obstruction in the bronchial tubes. Qi and phlegm struggle against each other, resulting in a choppy pulse (Se Mai). Banxia Houpo Tang (Pinellia and Magnolia Bark Decoction) is the primary treatment.
Banxia Houpo Tang (Pinellia and Magnolia Bark Decoction)
Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma, washed seven times with decoction, five liang)
Houpo (Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex, bark removed, coated with ginger juice and roasted, three liang)
Fuling (Poria)
Zisu Ye (Perillae Folium) (each two liang)
Grind the above into a powder. Take five qian per dose, add two zhan of water and ten slices of fresh ginger, decoct together until one zhan remains, strain, and take warm before meals.
If there is a swirling discomfort below the heart, with an urge to vomit but inability to do so, it is due to the retention and non-dispersion of fluid accumulation (Yin, Fluid Retention) forming a mass (Pi, Accumulation). Zhizhu Tang (Immature Bitter Orange and Atractylodes Decoction) is the primary treatment.

Baizhu (Atractodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, four liang)
Zhishi (Immature Bitter Orange, stir-fried with bran, placenta removed, two liang)

If there is abdominal fullness, where pressing leaves an indentation that rises immediately upon releasing the hand, and other symptoms are identical to Zheng Shui (True Water Edema), but accompanied by slight tremors in the four limbs and a floating pulse, it is because long-term deficiency of lung Qi allows wind pathogen to lodge. Qi fails to circulate, hundred vessels become blocked, qi knots and gathers in the yin to form water, termed Pi Shui (Skin Water Edema). It is also suitable to induce sweating. First use Fangji Tang (Stephania Decoction), then Dadou San (Soybean Powder).

Fangji (Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix, three liang)
Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, four liang)

Dadou San (Soybean Powder) (Formula missing.)
If there is coughing, wheezing preventing lying flat, facial edema, and a string-taut or slow pulse, it is due to cold stagnation in the lung and stomach, where water gathers to form Yin (Fluid Retention). This Yin supports and invades the heart, preventing Qi from descending, termed Zhi Yin (Supporting Fluid Retention). Initially, Shizao Tang (Ten Jujube Decoction) should be used to purge, followed by Fangji Tang (Stephania Decoction).
Shizao Tang (Ten Jujube Decoction)
Yuanhua (Genkwa Flos, stir-fried until black)
Gansui (Kansui Radix)
Daji (Euphorbiae Pekinensis Radix) (each equal parts)
Dazao (Jujubae Fructus, ten pieces)
First decoct the jujubes, strain, and add the powdered herbs mentioned above. For strong individuals, take one qian; for weak individuals, take half a qian. If the disease persists, administer again. The goal is rapid purgation (diarrhea), after which nourish the body with millet porridge.
