治疗病程长久、久治不愈的偏头痛和正头痛，此方善于调理风湿热邪上壅导致的目疾及脑部疼痛不止。
川芎（五钱）、柴胡（七钱）、黄连（炒制）、防风（去芦头）、羌活（各一两）、炙甘草（一两五钱）、细辛子黄芩（三两，去皮锉碎，一半用酒制，一半炒制）。
以上药物研成细末，每次服用二钱匕，在盏内加入少许茶，用汤水调成膏状，涂抹在口内；少量时用白开水送服。临睡前服用。
如果太阴脉象缓弱且有痰，称为痰厥头痛，减少羌活、防风、川芎、甘草的用量，增加半夏（一两五钱）。
如果偏头痛或正头痛服用上述方剂后未痊愈，将羌活、防风、川芎减半，柴胡加倍。
如果出现发热、怕热且口渴的症状，这是阳明头痛，只给予白虎汤加上优质的吴白芷。
蔓荆子、细辛（各一分）、薄荷叶、川芎（各三分）、生甘草、熟甘草（各五分）、藁本（一钱）。
以上药物研成细末，每次服用二钱，饭后用清茶调服。
治疗头目不清爽、不明利。
川芎（三分）、柴胡（七分）、羌活、防风、藁本、生甘草、熟甘草、升麻（各一钱）、酒浸生地黄（二钱）、酒黄连（炒制）、酒黄芩（各四钱五分）。
以上药物研成细末，每次服用一钱或二三钱，饭后用清茶调服。忌食酒、湿面。
治疗头痛。
郁金（一钱）、香白芷、石膏（各二钱）、薄荷叶、芒硝（各三钱）。
以上药物研成极细末，口中含水，将药粉纳入鼻中（嗅之）。
治疗头痛。

To treat chronic, intractable lateral and frontal headaches; this formula is effective for wind-damp-heat pathogenic factors congesting the head, causing eye disorders and unceasing brain pain.
Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Wuweiqian), Bupleuri Radix (Qichian), Coptidis Rhizoma (stir-fried), Saposhnikoviae Radix (deprived of rhizome), Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (each Yi Liang), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Preparata (Yi Liang Wuqian), Huangqin (San Liang, peeled, cut into pieces, half processed with wine, half stir-fried).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. For each dose, take two Qianbi (approx. 6 grams). Place in a cup, add a small amount of tea, mix with hot water to form a paste, and smear inside the mouth. If taken orally, use plain boiled water to swallow. Take before retiring.
If suffering from severe headache, add Asari Radix (Erfen) to each dose.
If the Taiyin pulse is slow and there is phlegm, it is named Phlegm-Jue Headache. Reduce the dosage of Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix, Saposhnikoviae Radix, Chuanxiong Rhizoma, and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Preparata; add Pinelliae Tuber (Yi Liang Wuqian).
If lateral or frontal headaches do not resolve after taking the above formula, reduce the dosage of Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix, Saposhnikoviae Radix, and Chuanxiong Rhizoma by half, and double the dosage of Bupleuri Radix.
If fever, aversion to heat, and thirst are present, this is Yangming Headache. Use only Baihu Tang (White Tiger Decoction) plus high-quality Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Baizhi).
Jingzi Fructus (Yifen), Asari Radix (Yifen), Menthae Haplocalycis Herba, Chuanxiong Rhizoma (each Sanfen), Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, Cooked Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (each Wufen), Ligustici Rhizoma et Radix (Yiqian).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take two Qian per dose, mixed with clear tea water after meals.
To treat unclear vision and dullness of the head and eyes.
Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Sanfen), Bupleuri Radix (Qifen), Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix, Saposhnikoviae Radix, Ligustici Rhizoma et Radix, Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, Cooked Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, Cimicifugae Rhizoma (each Yiqian), Rehmanniae Radix Preparata (processed with wine, Erqian), Coptidis Rhizoma (processed with wine, stir-fried), Scutellariae Radix (processed with wine, each Siqian Wufen).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take one Qian or two to three Qian per dose, mixed with clear tea water after meals. Avoid alcohol and damp wheat products.
To treat headache.
Curcumae Longae Rhizoma (Yiqian), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix, Gypsum Fibrosum (each Erqian), Menthae Haplocalycis Herba, Natrii Sulfas (each Sanqian).
Grind the above ingredients into an extremely fine powder. Hold water in the mouth and insufflate the powder into the nose.
To treat headache.
Asari Radix, Curcumae Longae Rhizoma, Natrii Sulfas (each Yiqian), Jingzi Fructus, Chuanxiong Rhizoma (each Yi to Erfen), Gypsum Fibrosum (Yiqian Sanfen), Indigo Naturalis (Yiqian Wufen), Menthae Haplocalycis Herba (Erqian), Vigna angularis (one bean).
Grind the above ingredients into an extremely fine powder. Hold water in the mouth and insufflate the powder into the nose.
