Practice by holding the breath; when the breath is full and feels urgent, exhale slightly and relax.
Perform upward pushing once to regulate the Sanjiao (Triple Burner, a concept referring to the upper, middle, and lower sections of the torso).
Stretch both hands upward with maximum effort, as if supporting the sky, performing the pushing motion, three times on each side.
Left Liver Right Lung like Shooting an Eagle (mimicking the action of drawing a bow to shoot an eagle).
First pull to the left, then to the right, exerting maximum effort, similar to the previous movements.
East Liver Single Push West Connects Kidney (regulating the Liver through unilateral pushing, and connecting the Kidneys through the other side).
Make a "Gu" fist (a hand gesture where the thumb is tucked under the ring finger) with the right hand, support the right kidney area, and push upward with maximum effort using the left hand. Make a "Gu" fist with the left hand, support the left kidney area, and push upward with maximum effort using the right hand. Three times on each side.
Regulate the Five Excesses (fatigue from prolonged viewing, lying, sitting, standing, and walking) and Seven Injuries (various deficiencies caused by emotional or external factors).
Hold the left elbow with the right hand to look left, hold the right elbow with the left hand to look right, exerting maximum effort for three repetitions each.
Swimming Fish Wags Tail to Unblock the Heart.
Extend both arms and swing them; the more repetitions, the better.
Hands Climb Both Feet to Regulate the Waist.
Sit upright, extend both legs, grasp the soles of the feet with both hands, and climb/pull with maximum effort for three repetitions.
Next, strike the Heavenly Drum thirty-six times: cover both ears with both hands and tap the back of the head.
Press both hands tightly against the ears, click the teeth thirty-six times, and tap the bone behind the ear with the second finger (index finger).
Method 1: Stand upright leaning against a wall, hold the breath, and guide Qi from the head down to the feet. This cures hernia, severe Wind diseases (severe pathogenic wind conditions), hemiplegia (paralysis of one side of the body), and various Wind-Bi syndromes.
Method 2: Lie supine and point the toes of both feet upward, maintaining this for five breath cycles, then stop. This stretches the waist, removes Back Bi pain and hemiplegia, and enhances hearing. Regular practice ensures no obstructions in sensory organs such as the eyes and ears.
Method 3: Lean upright against the back, extend both feet and toes, close the eyes and calm the mind. Guide Qi from the head, visualizing it reaching the ten toes and the soles of the feet. Practice for twenty-one breath cycles (three sets of seven), until the palms feel as if they are receiving Qi. This refers to guiding Qi up to the Niwan Palace (located in the brain) and down to the Yongquan acupoint (on the sole of the foot).
Method 4: Stand upright leaning against a wall, hold the breath, and guide Qi starting from the mouth, ensuring it reaches the head before stopping. Treats carbuncles, Bi syndrome, severe Wind diseases, and hemiplegia.
Method 5: One foot stays on the ground while the other turns sideways in a tilted posture. Coordinate with hand movements to their limit, then quickly return to center. Alternate left and right for fourteen repetitions (two sets of seven). Removes spinal wind-cold, hemiplegia, and lack of smooth circulation.
Method 6: Hands move forward and backward, pushing and pulling to their extreme limits for twenty-one repetitions (three sets of seven), palms facing down. Lower the head towards the heart. Guide Qi downward to the Yongquan and Cangmen acupoints. Hold the breath briefly (Nu Shi), then release the tension to relax the body. When the breath stabilizes, rotate the head, and tilt the shoulders forward and backward for fourteen repetitions (two sets of seven). Removes shoulder blood-cold, tendon stiffness, which gradually dissipates.
Method 7: Hug the left knee with both hands, arch the waist, inhale through the nose for seven breath cycles, and extend the right foot. Relieves difficulty in bending/extending, rising from a squat, and pain/atrophy in the shins.
Method 8: Hug the right knee against the chest. Relieves heaviness in the lower body and difficulty in bending/extending.
Method 9: Sit in a squatting position, extend the right foot, hug the left knee with both hands, arch the waist, inhale through the nose to the limit for seven breath cycles, and extend the right foot outward. Relieves difficulty in bending/extending, rising, and pain/Bi in the shins.
Method 10: Stand upright. One hand pushes upward as if pushing an object, the other presses downward as if pressing an object. Move up and down, alternating for twenty-eight repetitions (four sets of seven). Removes shoulder internal blood-cold, internal Wind, spasms in both shoulders, both armpits, and tendons/muscles.
Method 11: Squat, extend the left foot, hug the right knee with both hands, arch the waist, inhale through the nose to the limit for seven breath cycles, and extend the left foot outward. Relieves difficulty in bending/extending/rising and shin pain.
Method 12: Lie supine, bring knees together, spread feet apart, arch the waist, inhale through the mouth, and vibrate the abdomen for seven breath cycles. Relieves deep-seated pain and inability to move the legs freely.
Method 13: Treats pain and stuffiness in the four limbs, immobility, and accumulated Qi in the abdomen. The bed must be level. Lie supine upright, loosen clothing and belt, use a pillow three cun high. Form "Gu" fists: tuck the four fingers of each hand around the thumb, extend arms so they are five cun away from the body, raise toes so feet are five cun apart. Calm the mind and will, harmonize the breath, do not think of other matters, focus solely on Qi. Slowly rinse with "Liquan" (saliva): lightly lick lips and teeth with the tongue, then swallow saliva. Exhale slowly through the mouth and inhale through the nose; entry into the throat should be gentle and slow, not sudden or forced. Once Qi is harmonized, guide it without audible sound. With each inhalation, mentally direct Qi out from the toe tips. Five or six exhalations constitute one "Xi" (breath cycle). Gradually increase from ten Xi to one hundred or two hundred Xi; the illness will be cured. Avoid raw vegetables, fish, and fatty meat. Do not practice Qi guidance after overeating or during strong emotions like anger, joy, worry, or resentment. It is best to practice in the quiet morning hours; this can cure myriad diseases.
Method 14: Extend both feet upward. Relieves numbness and coldness in the shins.
