Method 1: Sit on the ground with feet crossed, insert both hands from between the bent knees, lower the head, and cross hands over the neck. This treats chronic obstruction leading to an inability to self-warm and deafness (hearing loss).
Method 2: Place feet on the neck, hold breath for twelve cycles. This will certainly cure severe obstruction, lack of warmth sensation, long-standing stubborn cold conditions, deafness, and dizziness. Long-term practice establishes this method; once established, the body's state remains stable even in later years.
Method 3: Treats spermatorrhea (seminal emission), leukorrhea (white turbidity), and various cold-induced impotence. During the Xu-Hai hours (7 PM–11 PM), when Yin is abundant and Yang is declining, one hand cups the external kidneys (testicles), while the other rubs below the navel eighty-one times. Then switch hands, performing nine cycles per hand. Visible results appear after nine days of cupping and rubbing; success is achieved after eighty-one days.
Method 4: To treat spermatorrhea, use a bed that is secure and narrow. Lie in a curled position like a bow, bending knees together and tucking them toward the navel, or lie on either the left or right side. Support the scrotum with one hand and place the other hand over the Dantian (lower abdomen). It is crucial to maintain a calm and pure mind while lying down, abstaining from sexual desires. If essence is retained and not leaked, physical health can be preserved.
Method 5: Lie supine, placing the heels near the knee caps and the soles of the feet against the anus. Inhale to vibrate the abdomen, exhale through the nose. This eliminates strangury (painful urination) and frequent urination.
Method 6: Squat at a height of approximately one chi. Insert hands from outside the bent knees inward to the dorsum of the foot. Firmly grasp the five toes, exert maximum force for one cycle, causing internal flexion eight times. This benefits the waist and hips and treats strangury.
Method 7: Lie supine, placing the knee caps and heels against the anus. Inhale to vibrate the abdomen, exhale through the nose. This eliminates strangury and pain in the urethra.
Method 8: Place the heels near the knees. This eliminates long-strangury (chronic urinary retention).
Method 9: Lie supine, placing feet near the knee caps and heels under the buttocks. Inhale through the mouth until abdominal distension reaches its limit, then exhale through the nose for seven breaths. This eliminates Qi-strangury, frequent urination, urethral pain, dampness below the yin region, hypogastric pain, and immobility of the knees.
Method 10: Sit upright, crossing hands behind the back. This is called "Dai Bian" (Belted Urination/Bowel Movement). It cures inability to pass urine or stool and benefits the abdomen, but may cause further emaciation. Alternatively, place hands on the back, push upward toward the heart area, sit in a basket-like posture, and invert the body nine times. This also cures inability to pass urine or stool and benefits the abdomen, though it similarly leads to emaciation.
Method 11: Turtle-breathing Qi exercise. Lie prone inside clothing/bedding, covering the mouth, nose, and face. Lie supine, hold breath for nine cycles, exhale slightly through the nose. This treats constipation and fecal impaction.
Method 12: Lie supine, extend arms and rub/knead the left and right costal regions. This eliminates difficult defecation, abdominal pain, and cold in the abdomen. Inhale through the mouth, exhale through the nose, swallowing the warm Qi dozens of times. The illness will heal.
