此诀治五脏六腑之病,即呵、呼、 、吹、嘻、嘘也。以呼而出脏腑之毒瓦斯,为泻,呼字;
This mantra treats diseases of the Five Zang Organs and Six Fu Organs, namely He (Ha), Hu (Hu), Si (Si), Chui (Chui), Xi (Xi), Xu (Xu). Exhaling to expel toxic vapors from the Zang and Fu organs constitutes the draining method, associated with the character "Hu" (Note: The text explicitly links "Hu" to draining here, though traditionally "Hu" is for Spleen; strictly translating the source's logic): Inhaling to draw in the clear Qi of Heaven and Earth constitutes the tonifying method, associated with the character "Inhale". Whenever entering a room for quiet sitting, clicking the teeth, swallowing saliva, first silently recite "He" to treat the Heart. After finishing the recitation, slowly inhale. Let more air out than in, and do not make any sound. Making sound makes the Qi rough, which damages the Qi instead. Repeat this six times. If there is fluid in the mouth, swallowing one mouthful is also acceptable. Next, silently recite "Hu" to treat the Spleen, then "Si" to treat the Lung, then "Xu" to treat the Liver, then "Xi" to treat the Sanjiao (Triple Burner), then "Chui" to treat the Kidney, all following the method of "He", each character performed six times. This constitutes thirty-six small Circulation of Heaven (Xiao Zhou Tian). Furthermore, observe which Zang or Fu organ is diseased. For example, if there is an eye disease, recite "Xu" and "Xi", performing each eighteen times as before, totaling thirty-six. Combined with the previous count, it reaches seventy-two, called Medium Circulation of Heaven (Zhong Zhou). Again, follow the previous method, reciting six times; each character six times, this is the third set of thirty-six. Combined with the previous total, it amounts to one hundred and eight, called Great Circulation of Heaven (Da Zhou), known as the Hundred-Eight Mantra. Whenever encountering diseases of various organs, act according to the respective mantras, without being restricted by time, generally during Yang hours, and without strict numerical limits. In total, three hundred and sixty corresponds to the degrees of the celestial circle, which is particularly miraculous. However, cultivation experts say that the Kidney has no draining method, hence it is said to use "Xi" commonly throughout the four seasons, and "Chui" is not needed during the eight solar terms. Further consulting the *Treatise on Four-Season Regulation*, in Spring, when Liver Qi is abundant, regulate "Xu" Qi to benefit it; in Summer, when Heart Qi is abundant, regulate "He" Qi to disperse it; in Autumn, when Lung Qi is abundant, regulate "Si" Qi to drain it; in Winter, when Kidney Qi is abundant, regulate "Chui" Qi to exhale it. This reflects the intention of treating disease before it arises, rather than relying merely on medicinal herbs.
Master Lü said: The water on the tongue can give life, but one must know the timing of the heavenly mechanism and tides. Every day, guide it upward according to the current time. Sit quietly facing East, press the tongue against the upper palate. Naturally, the Divine Water (Shen Shui) from the two apertures on the tongue flows backward. Heart fluid nourishes and merges, surging like a tide, filling the mouth and cheeks, moistening the top of the head upwards, pouring into the Five Mountains (metaphor for facial features/organs) in the middle, swallowed in three parts, and sent down to the Dantian.
Practicing for ten days, the skin becomes translucent and moist, the complexion shines. After a hundred days, the merit is accomplished, permanently clearing all diseases of the Heart Meridian.
