Zhang Jiebin stated: Regarding the Pericardium (Xin Bao) organ, the *Nan Jing* (Classic of Difficult Issues) states it is formless. Hua Shou stated: The Pericardium is also known as the Hand-Shaoyin Master-Centre (Shou Xin Zhu). Examining it according to Zang-Fu manifestation theory, it is located above the transverse diaphragm and below the vertical diaphragm; what is adhered to the transverse diaphragm and wrapped in yellow fat is the Heart; outside this fat, there are fine fibrous membranes like silk connecting to the Heart and Lungs, which is the Pericardium. This explanation is correct, and those who claim it is formless are wrong. The *Ling Shu · Ling Lan Mi Dian Lun* mentions that among the Twelve Officials, only the Pericardium official is missing. However, it also contains the sentences: "The Dan Zhong (Chest/Pericardium) is the Official of the Envoy, from whom joy and pleasure emerge." Upon examination, the Pericardium organ resides above the diaphragm, and its meridian begins in the chest, precisely at the location of the Dan Zhong. It occupies the position of Ministerial Fire (Xiang Huo), acting on behalf of the Sovereign (Heart), truly serving as an Envoy. Does this official refer to this meridian?
The meridian of the Hand-Jueyin Pericardium Master-Centre originates in the chest, emerges to connect with the Pericardium, descends through the diaphragm, and successively links with the Triple Burner (San Jiao). Its branch follows the chest, emerges from the hypochondrium three cun lateral to the axilla, ascends to reach the axilla, travels along the medial aspect of the upper arm, running between the Taiyin and Shaoyin meridians, enters the elbow, descends along the forearm between two tendons, enters the palm, and follows the middle finger to its tip; another branch diverges from the palm, follows the ring finger to its tip.
The Hand-Jueyin Pericardium Master-Centre originates in the chest, connects to the Pericardium, descends through the diaphragm to the Triple Burner Palace; branches follow the chest, emerge from the hypochondrium, connecting to the axilla three cun apart; ascending to the axilla and traveling medially, it runs between the Taiyin and Shaoyin meridians; the finger penetrates Zhongchong (PC5), branches diverge, connecting via the ring finger.
[Note] The meridian of the Hand-Jueyin Pericardium originates in the chest, emerges externally passing through Tianchi (PC1), belonging to the Pericardium meridian. Internally descending through the diaphragm and successively linking the Triple Burner refers to its distribution across the upper, middle, and lower abdomen. Its branch follows the chest, emerging three cun lateral to the axilla, which is the location of Tianchi (PC1). From Tianchi, it travels along the medial aspect of the arm to Tianquan (PC2); from Tianquan, it runs between the Hand-Taiyin and Hand-Shaoyin meridians, entering Quze (PC3) in the elbow. Descending along the forearm between two tendons, it passes through Ximen (PC4), Jianshi (PC5), Neiguan (PC6), and Daling (PC7), enters the palm at Laogong (PC8), follows the middle finger to its tip, which is Zhongchong (PC9). Another branch of the main stem diverges from the palm, follows the ring finger to its tip, and connects with the Hand-Shaoyang Triple Burner meridian.
