味甘气平，入足阳明胃、手太阴肺经。入肺胃而补气，走经络而益营。医黄汗血痹之证，疗皮水风湿之疾，历节
肿痛最效，虚劳里疾更良。善达皮腠，专通肌表。凡一切疮疡，总忌内陷，悉宜黄 。蜜炙用。生用微凉，清表敛汗
宜之。
味苦辛微温，入足厥阴肝经，养血滋肝，清风润木，起经脉之细微，回肢节之逆冷。缓里急而安腹痛，调产后而
保胎前，能通妊娠之小便，善滑产妇之大肠。奔豚须用，吐蛔宜加。寒疝甚良，温经最效。
味平，入厥阴肝经。养阴荣木，补血滋肝，止胞胎之阻疼，收经脉之陷漏。最清厥阴之风燥，
善调乙木之疏泄。蛤粉炒，研用。
味辛，微温，入足少阴肾、足厥阴肝经。生精补血，健骨强筋。酥炙用，研碎，酒煮去渣，
熬浓，重汤煮成膏最佳。
味辛甘，微温，入足少阴肾、足厥阴肝经。强筋健骨，秘精壮阳。去梗，酒浸蒸晒。
味苦辛，微温，入足太阴脾、足厥阴肝、足少阴肾经。暖补命门，温养子宫。兴丈夫玉
茎痿弱，除女子玉门寒冷。
味苦，气平，入足少阴肾、足厥阴肝经。强筋健骨，秘精壮阳，补益精血，长养精神。
味辛苦，微温，入足少阴肾、足厥阴肝经。荣筋强骨，起痿壮阳。羊脂拌炒。
味辛苦，气温，入足太阴脾、足少阴肾、手阳明大肠经。温脾暖肾，消水化食。治膝冷腰
疼，疗肠滑肾泄。能安胎坠，善止遗精。收小儿遗溺，兴丈夫痿阳，除阴囊之湿，愈关
节之凉。盐酒拌润，炒研，晒干用。同青盐、乳香，搽日久牙痛。
（第一味药）味道甘甜，气性平和，归入足阳明胃经和手太阴肺经。进入肺、胃二经以补益正气，通行经络以滋养营血。治疗黄汗病（因湿热郁蒸导致的汗出色黄如柏汁的病证）和血痹病（血脉闭阻引起的肢体麻木疼痛），治愈皮水（水湿停聚肌肤引起的水肿）和风湿疾病，对于历节病（关节剧烈肿痛变形）的肿痛最为有效，对于虚劳病（慢性虚弱性疾病）的内伤杂症也疗效更佳。善于通达皮肤腠理，专门疏通肌表。凡是各种疮疡肿毒，都忌讳毒邪内陷，都适宜使用此药。用蜂蜜炙烤后使用。生用时性质微凉，适合用于清解表热和收敛止汗。
（第二味药）味道苦、辛，性质微温，归入足厥阴肝经。养血滋润肝脏，清风润燥以养护肝木，恢复经脉中细微之气的运行，挽回四肢关节的逆冷症状。缓解腹部拘急疼痛并安定腹痛，调理产后身体并保护胎元，能够通利妊娠期间的小便，善于润滑产妇的大肠使其通畅。奔豚病（自觉有气从少腹上冲胸咽）必须使用此药，吐蛔虫（蛔虫扰动导致呕吐出蛔虫）的情况适宜加入此药。寒疝（寒邪凝滞引起的腹中剧痛）效果很好，温通经脉最为有效。
（第三味药）味道平和，归入足厥阴肝经。滋养阴液以荣养肝木，补血滋肝，停止胞胎阻滞引起的疼痛，收摄经脉的陷漏。最擅长清除厥阴经的风燥，善于调节乙木（肝的代称）的疏泄功能。用蛤粉炒制后，研磨使用。
（第四味药）味道辛，性质微温，归入足少阴肾经和足厥阴肝经。生成精气，补益血液，强健骨骼，强壮筋骨。用酥油炙烤后使用，研磨碎，用酒煮后去渣，熬制成浓稠状，再用隔水炖的方法制成膏剂最佳。
（第五味药）味道辛、甘，性质微温，归入足少阴肾经和足厥阴肝经。强壮筋骨，固秘精气，壮阳。去除梗部，用酒浸泡后蒸晒。
（第六味药）味道甘甜，气性平和，归入足少阴肾经和足厥阴肝经。巩固阴精，起痿强筋，缩小溺量，收敛精气。
（第七味药）味道苦、辛，性质微温，归入足太阴脾经、足厥阴肝经和足少阴肾经。温暖补益命门之火，温养子宫。使男性阴茎勃起有力，消除女性外阴寒冷。
（第八味药）味道苦，气性平和，归入足少阴肾经和足厥阴肝经。强壮筋骨，固秘精气，壮阳，补益精血，滋养精神。
（第九味药）味道辛、苦，性质微温，归入足少阴肾经和足厥阴肝经。荣养筋脉，强壮骨骼，起痿壮阳。用羊脂拌炒。
（第十味药）味道辛、苦，气性温，归入足太阴脾经、足少阴肾经和手阳明大肠经。温补脾脏，暖补肾腑，消除水湿，消化食物。治疗膝盖冷痛和腰痛，治疗肠滑泄泻和肾虚泄泻。能安胎防坠，善于止住遗精。收摄小儿遗尿，振兴男性阳痿，消除阴囊潮湿，治愈关节冷痛。用盐和酒拌润，炒制后研磨，晒干使用。与青盐、乳香一起，涂抹于患处，可治疗长期的牙痛。
(The first herb) Its flavor is sweet, and its nature is neutral. It enters the Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian and Hand-Taiyin Lung Meridian. Entering the Lung and Stomach meridians to tonify Qi (vital energy), it circulates through the collaterals to nourish Ying (nutritive) blood. It treats conditions of Huanghan (Yellow Sweat Disease) and Xuebi (Blood Bi Syndrome), cures diseases of Pishui (Skin Water Retention) and Wind-Dampness, and is most effective for the swelling and pain of Lijie (Joint Pain and Deformation). It is even better for internal disorders of Xulao (Deficiency Consumption). It excels at penetrating the skin and interstices, specifically unblocking the muscle surface. For all types of sores and ulcers, it is crucial to prevent the inward sinking of pathogens; this herb is suitable for such cases. Use after honey-frying. When used raw, its nature is slightly cool, making it suitable for clearing the exterior and astringing sweat.
(The second herb) Its flavor is bitter and pungent, and its nature is slightly warm. It enters the Foot-Jueyin Liver Meridian. It nourishes blood and moistens the Liver, clears wind and moistens Wood (Liver), restores the subtle flow in the meridians, and reverses cold extremities and joints. It relieves internal urgency and calms abdominal pain, regulates postpartum conditions and protects the fetus before term, promotes urination during pregnancy, and lubricates the large intestine of parturient women. It is essential for Ben tun (Rushing Pig Disease) and should be added when vomiting roundworms. It is excellent for Hanshan (Cold Hernia) and most effective for warming the meridians.
(The third herb) Its flavor is neutral. It enters the Foot-Jueyin Liver Meridian. It nourishes Yin to enrich Wood (Liver), tonifies blood and moistens the Liver, stops pain caused by blockage in the uterus, and secures leaking meridians. It best clears Wind-Dryness of the Jueyin meridian and harmonizes the dispersing and descending functions of Yi Mu (Liver). Stir-fry with clam powder and grind for use.
(The fourth herb) Its flavor is pungent, and its nature is slightly warm. It enters the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Meridian and Foot-Jueyin Liver Meridian. It generates essence and tonifies blood, strengthens bones and sinews. Use after frying with butter/marrow fat. Grind into powder, decoct in wine, remove dregs, boil down to a thick consistency, and prepare as an ointment via double-boiling for best results.
(The fifth herb) Its flavor is pungent and sweet, and its nature is slightly warm. It enters the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Meridian and Foot-Jueyin Liver Meridian. It strengthens sinews and bones, consolidates essence and boosts Yang. Remove the stalks, soak in wine, steam, and sun-dry.
(The sixth herb) Its flavor is sweet, and its nature is neutral. It enters the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Meridian and Foot-Jueyin Liver Meridian. It strengthens Yin, treats flaccidity, reduces urinary frequency, and astringes essence.
(The seventh herb) Its flavor is bitter and pungent, and its nature is slightly warm. It enters the Foot-Taiyin Spleen Meridian, Foot-Jueyin Liver Meridian, and Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Meridian. It warms and tonifies Mingmen (Gate of Life), and warms and nourishes the uterus. It stimulates erectile function in men and dispels coldness from the female genitalia.
(The eighth herb) Its flavor is bitter, and its nature is neutral. It enters the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Meridian and Foot-Jueyin Liver Meridian. It strengthens sinews and bones, consolidates essence and boosts Yang, tonifies essence and blood, and nourishes spirit.
(The ninth herb) Its flavor is pungent and bitter, and its nature is slightly warm. It enters the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Meridian and Foot-Jueyin Liver Meridian. It nourishes sinews, strengthens bones, treats flaccidity and boosts Yang. Stir-fry with sheep fat.
(The tenth herb) Its flavor is pungent and bitter, and its nature is warm. It enters the Foot-Taiyin Spleen Meridian, Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Meridian, and Hand-Yangming Large Intestine Meridian. It warms the Spleen and Kidneys, resolves water dampness, and aids digestion. It treats cold knees and lower back pain, and intestinal slipping with renal diarrhea. It calms the fetus and prevents miscarriage, and effectively stops seminal emission. It controls nocturnal enuresis in children, restores erectile function in men, eliminates scrotal dampness, and cures joint coldness. Moisten with salt and wine, stir-fry, grind, and sun-dry for use. Applied externally with Qingyan (Blue Vitriol/Green Salt) and Ruxiang (Frankincense), it treats chronic toothache.
