〔丹〕乳硬论乳房阳明所经，乳头厥阴所属。乳子之母，不知调养，怒忿所逆，郁闷所遏，
浓味所酿，以致厥阴之气不行，故窍不通，而汁不得出；阳明之血沸腾，故热甚而化脓。亦有所乳
之子，膈有滞痰，口气 热，含乳而睡，热气所吹，遂生结核。于初起时，便须忍痛，揉令稍软，
吮令汁透，自可消散。失此不治，必成痈疖。治法，疏厥阴之滞，以青皮；清阳明之热，细研石
膏；行污浊之血，以生甘草节；消肿导毒，以栝蒌子；或加没药、青橘叶、皂角刺、金银花、当
归头，或汤或散，加减随意消息，然须以少酒佐之。若加以艾火两三壮于肿处，其效尤捷。彼村工
喜于自 ，便妄用针刀，引惹拙病，良可哀悯。若夫不得于夫，不得于舅姑，忧怒郁遏，时日
累积，脾气消沮，肝气横逆，遂成隐核，如鳖棋子，不痛不痒，十数年后，方为疮陷，名曰乳岩。
以其疮形嵌凹似岩穴也，不可治矣。若于始生之际，便能消释病根，使心清神安，然后施之治法，
亦有可安之理。予族侄妇年十八岁时，曾得此，察其形脉稍实，但性躁急，伉俪自谐，所难者后
姑耳。遂以单方青皮汤，间以加减四物汤行经络之剂，两月而安。此病多因浓味湿热之痰，停蓄
膈间，与滞乳相搏而成。又有滞乳，因儿口气吹嘘而成。又有拗怒气激滞而生者， 石膏、烧桦
皮、栝蒌子、甘草节、青皮，皆神效药也。妇人此病，若早治之，便可立消。有月经时，悉是轻
病，五六十后，无月经时，不可作轻易看也。乳痈
青皮 栝蒌 橘叶 连翘 桃仁（留尖） 皂角刺 甘草节 破多，加参、 。
〔《精》〕神效栝蒌散治乳痈乳岩，神效。丹溪亦云∶妙捷。恐贫贱之家，未能办集者，
用后蒲公英草尤妙。
栝蒌（一个，去皮焙为末，子多者有力） 甘草（生） 当归（酒浸，焙。各半两） 乳香（另研）
没药（另研。各二钱半）
上为末，用无灰酒三升，于银石器内慢火熬取一升，清汁分作三服，食后良久服。如有奶岩，
便服此药，可杜绝病根。如毒瓦斯已成，能化脓为黄水。毒未成，即于大小便中通利。如疾甚，再
合服，以退为度。
立效散与前方间服神妙，但于栝蒌散方，减去当归，加紫色皂角刺一两六钱是也。
〔《本》〕蒲公英草，味甘平无毒，主妇人乳痈肿，水煮汁，饮之及封之，立消。用酒煎更妙，
渣敷患处。
〔丹〕蒲公英在处田间路侧有之，三四月开黄花似菊，味甘，解毒散滞，意其可入阳明太阴经，洗
净细研，以忍冬藤浓煎汤，入少酒佐之，随手便欲睡，睡觉已失之矣。
〔云〕张氏橘皮汤治乳痈未结即散，已结即溃，极痛不可忍者，神效。因小儿吹乳变成斯疾
者，并皆治之。用陈皮一味，汤浸去白，晒干，面炒微黄，为细末，麝香研酒调二钱。初发觉赤
肿疼痛，一服见效。
〔丹〕乳痈初发肿硬，一服瘥。真桦皮末，酒服方寸匕，睡省已失。（出《灵苑》）
〔罗〕胜金丹治妇人吹乳，极有神效。
用百齿霜（即木梳上发垢）
上一味，不拘多少，有无根水为丸，如桐子大，每服三丸，倒流水送下，食后，令病左乳者
左卧，右乳者右卧，于温处汗出愈。用新水倾于房上接之，乃倒流水也。
〔《图》〕治妇人奶疼，痛不可忍。用穿山甲炙黄，木通各一两，自然铜半两生用，三味捣为
细末，每服二钱，温酒调下，不拘时候。
〔《简》〕 妇人吹乳，独胜散。
白丁香半两。捣罗为末，每服一钱匕，温酒调服无时。
〔云〕治妇人吹乳，皂角散。
歌曰∶妇人吹乳意如何？皂角烧灰蛤粉和，热酒一杯调一字，顷间揉散笑呵呵。
又方
乳香（研，一钱） 栝蒌根末（一两）
上研令匀，温酒调服二钱。
〔丹〕杨孺人乳肿痛。
青皮 石膏（ ） 连翘 皂角刺（炒） 黄药子 当归头 木通（各一钱） 甘草（生，三分）
作一帖，入好酒些少，同煎饮之。又有别药洗肿处。
义二孺人，平时乳内有结核，不为痛，忽乳边又有一肿核，颇却有些痛。
黄芩 川芎 木通 陈皮（各四钱） 人参（二钱） 芍药（一钱） 大腹皮（三钱） 炙甘草
生甘草（各一钱） 当归头（一钱）
分二帖煎服。
〔丹〕二孺人，但经将行而乳肿，先两日发口干而不渴，食少减，脉左弦带数，右却平。治用
四物汤加陈皮、白术、茯苓，带热下。与点丸三十粒。
产后乳膨，调麦芽饮，自消。
〔云〕连翘汤治产后妒乳并痈。
连翘 升麻 芒硝（各一两） 玄参 芍药 白蔹 防己 射干（各八钱） 大黄（二钱）
甘草（六钱） 杏仁（四十个，去皮尖）
上 咀，以水六升，煮二升，下大黄，次芒硝，分三服。
〔丹〕一妇人年六十，浓味郁气而形实多妒，夏无汗而性急，忽左乳结一小核大如棋子，不
痛，自觉神思不佳，不知食，味绝半月。以人参汤调青皮、甘草末，入生姜汁，细细呷，一日夜五六
次，至五七日消矣。此乃乳岩之始。不早治，隐至五年十年以后发，不痛不痒，必于乳下溃一窍，
如岩穴出脓，又或五七年十年，虽饮食如故，洞见五内，乃死。惟不得于夫者有之，妇人以夫为天，
失于所天，乃能生此。谓之岩者，以其如穴之嵌岈，空洞而外无所见，故名曰岩。患此者，必经久
淹延。惟此妇治之早，正消患于未形，余者皆死，凡十余人。又治一初嫁之妇，只以青皮、甘草与
之安。
〔丹〕用蒲公英草捣烂， 患处神妙。
〔云〕用天南星末，以温酒调涂之。
〔《圣》〕治妇人乳痛成痈。以益母草为末，水调涂乳上，一宿自瘥。生捣烂用之亦得。
〔《山》〕妇人吹乳。用桑树蛀屑，饭捣成膏贴之。
〔丹〕乳头裂破。丁香末敷之。（《梅师方》）
〔《怪穴》〕乳痈∶乳中穴（在乳下中，针入一分，沿皮向后一寸半，灸，泻。）
〔《甲》〕乳痈，寒热短气，卧不安，膺窗主之。乳痈，凄素寒热，痛不可按，乳根主之。
大惊乳痛，梁丘主之。乳痈有热，三里主之。（乳痈诸药不能止痛者，三里针入五分，立止。）
女子乳痈惊，巨虚下廉主之。（《千金》云∶臂肿重，足蹈不收，跟痛。）乳痈，太冲及复溜主
之。妒乳，太渊主之。妇人乳余疾，肓门主之。
【丹溪】乳房属于阳明经所过之处，乳头归属于厥阴经。哺乳期的母亲，如果不懂得调养，因愤怒导致气机逆乱，因郁闷导致气机郁结，加上食用浓腻厚味的食物酿生湿热，致使厥阴经的气血运行不畅，所以乳窍不通，乳汁无法排出；阳明经的血分沸腾，所以热势极盛而化脓成痈。也有因为哺乳的婴儿，胸膈间有停滞的痰浊，口中热气较重，含着乳头睡觉时，将热气吹入乳窍，从而形成结核。在疾病初起时，必须忍受疼痛，揉捏乳房使其稍软，吮吸使乳汁通畅，自然可以消散。如果错过这个时机不进行治疗，必定会发展成痈疖。治疗方法是：疏解厥阴经的郁滞，使用青皮；清泄阳明经的热邪，细研石膏；行散污浊之血，使用生甘草节；消肿排毒，使用栝蒌子；或者加入没药、青橘叶、皂角刺、金银花、当归头，制成汤剂或散剂，根据病情加减随意斟酌，但必须用少量酒作为引药。如果在肿胀处艾灸两三壮，效果更加迅速。那些乡村庸医喜欢自我炫耀，便妄用针刀切割，引来更严重的病症，实在令人哀悯。至于那些在家庭中不得丈夫欢心，不得公婆喜爱，忧愁愤怒郁结，时日累积，导致脾气消损，肝气横逆，最终形成隐蔽的硬核，形状像鳖裙上的棋子，不痛不痒，经过十数年后，才溃烂成疮凹陷，名叫“乳岩”。因为疮形嵌凹类似岩石洞穴，所以不可治愈。如果在刚产生之际，就能消除病根，使心境清静、神志安宁，然后再施以治疗，也有痊愈的道理。我的族侄媳妇十八岁时曾患此病，观察她的形体和脉象稍微充实，只是性格急躁，夫妻和睦，难以处理的是婆婆的关系。于是用单方青皮汤，间断服用加减四物汤等疏通经络的药物，两个月后痊愈。这种病多因浓味湿热之痰，停蓄在胸膈之间，与停滞的乳汁相互搏结而成。又有因乳汁停滞，被婴儿口气吹嘘而成的。又有因拗怒激惹气滞而生的。石膏、烧桦树皮、栝蒌子、甘草节、青皮，都是神效的药物。妇女患此病，如果早期治疗，就可以立即消除。月经期间，多是轻症；五六十岁以后，没有月经时，不可当作轻症看待。
【乳痈方】青皮、栝蒌、橘叶、连翘、桃仁（保留尖端）、皂角刺、甘草节。破溃多的，加人参、黄芪。
【《精义》】神效栝蒌散治疗乳痈和乳岩，效果神妙。丹溪也说：奇妙快捷。恐怕贫贱之家，难以备齐药材，使用后面的蒲公英草尤其好。
栝蒌（一个，去皮焙干研为末，子多的药效更强）、甘草（生用）、当归（酒浸，焙干，各半两）、乳香（另研）、没药（另研，各二钱半）。
以上研为末，用无灰酒三升，在银石器内慢火熬取一升，澄清汁液分三次服用，饭后很久再服。如果有奶岩，就服用此药，可以杜绝病根。如果毒瓦斯已经形成，能将脓化为黄水。毒未形成，则通过大小便通利排出。如果病情严重，再次合药服用，以退去病邪为度。
立效散与前方交替服用神妙，只是在栝蒌散方中减去当归，加入紫色皂角刺一两六钱。
【《本草》】蒲公英草，味甘平，无毒，主治妇人乳痈肿，水煮汁饮用及外敷，立即消退。用酒煎煮更好，药渣敷在患处。
【丹溪】蒲公英在田间路侧到处都有，三四月开黄花似菊花，味甘，能解毒散滞，推测它可以入阳明、太阴经。洗净细研，用忍冬藤浓煎汤，加入少量酒佐助，喝完随手就想睡，醒来病就好了。
【云岐子】张氏橘皮汤治疗乳痈，未结块即消散，已结块即溃破，极痛不可忍者，神效。因小儿吹乳变成这种疾病的，都一并治疗。用陈皮一味，汤浸去白，晒干，面炒微黄，研为细末，麝香研碎后用酒调服二钱。初发觉红肿疼痛，一服见效。
【丹溪】乳痈初发肿硬，一服即愈。真桦树皮末，酒服方寸匕，睡醒病就好了。（出自《灵苑》）
【罗谦甫】胜金丹治疗妇人吹乳，极有神效。
用百齿霜（即木梳上的头发垢）。
以上一味，不拘多少，用无根水泛丸，如梧桐子大，每服三丸，倒流水送下，饭后服用，让患左乳的病者左侧卧，患右乳的病者右侧卧，在温暖处出汗即愈。所谓新水倾于房上接之，就是倒流水。
【《图经》】治疗妇人奶疼，痛不可忍。用穿山甲炙黄，木通各一两，自然铜半两生用，三味捣为细末，每服二钱，温酒调下，不拘时候。

【丹溪】一位六十岁的妇人，因浓味郁气且形体实多妒忌，夏天无汗且性情急躁，忽然左乳结一小核大如棋子，不痛，自觉神思不佳，不知进食，味觉消失半月。用人参汤调服青皮、甘草末，加入生姜汁，细细呷服，一日一夜五六次，至五七日消退了。这是乳岩的开始。如果不早治，隐匿五年十年以后发作，不痛不痒，必定在乳下溃烂一窍，如岩穴出脓，或者五七年十年，虽然饮食如故，洞见五脏，乃死。只有不得丈夫欢心的才有此病，妇人以夫为天，失于所天，才能生此病。称为岩，是因为它像洞穴一样嵌凹，空洞而外表无所见，所以名叫岩。患此病者，必经久拖延。只有这位妇人治疗得早，正是消患于未形，其余的都死了，共十余人。又治疗一位初嫁的妇人，只用青皮、甘草给她，使之平安。

[Danxi] The breast is the pathway of the Yangming channel, and the nipple belongs to the Jueyin channel. For nursing mothers who do not know how to regulate their lifestyle, anger causes qi rebellion, depression causes qi stagnation, and rich, greasy foods brew damp-heat. This leads to the failure of Jueyin qi to circulate, resulting in blocked orifices and milk unable to exit; meanwhile, Yangming blood boils, causing intense heat that transforms into pus. There are also cases where the nursing infant has phlegm-stagnation in the chest-diaphragm area and has hot breath; when sleeping while holding the nipple, the hot breath blows into the ducts, forming nodules. At the initial stage, one must endure pain, massage the breast until slightly soft, and suckle to ensure milk flow, which will naturally dissipate. If this opportunity is missed and untreated, it will inevitably develop into a carbuncle or boil. The treatment method involves: dispersing Jueyin stagnation with Qingpi (Cortex Tangerinae); clearing Yangming heat by finely grinding Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum); moving turbid blood with Sheng Gancao Jie (Radix Glycyrrhizae with nodes); reducing swelling and guiding out toxins with Gualouzi (Fructus Trichosanthis); optionally adding Moyao (Resina Myrrhae), Qingjuye (Folium Citri Reticulatae), Zaojiaoci (Spina Gleditsiae Sinensis), Jinyinhua (Flos Lonicerae Japonicae), and Danggui Tou (Radix Angelicae Sinensis). These can be decocted as a soup or made into powder, adjusted according to the condition, but must be taken with a small amount of wine as an adjuvant. Applying moxibustion (two to three cones) on the swollen area yields even faster results. Village practitioners, eager to show off, recklessly use needles and knives, aggravating the disease, which is truly pitiable. As for those who suffer from marital discord or in-law conflicts, leading to accumulated sorrow and anger, damaging Spleen qi and causing Liver qi to invade horizontally, hidden nodules form, resembling turtle shell patterns, painless and non-itchy. After ten or more years, they ulcerate and sink, named "Ru Yan" (Breast Rock/Cancer). It is called Ru Yan because the wound shape resembles a rocky cave, and it is incurable. However, if at the very beginning, the root cause is eliminated, the mind is cleared, and spirit is calmed, followed by treatment, recovery is possible. My clan's niece-in-law was eighteen when she suffered from this. Her physical form and pulse were slightly full, but her temperament was irritable. Although her marriage was harmonious, her mother-in-law was difficult. Thus, I used a single formula of Qingpi Tang, intermittently combined with modified Siwu Tang to unblock meridians, and she recovered in two months. This disease is mostly caused by damp-heat phlegm from rich foods accumulating in the diaphragm, clashing with stagnant milk. Other causes include milk stagnation blown by infant breath, or qi stagnation generated by suppressed anger. Shigao, burnt Birch Bark (Huapi), Gualouzi, Gancao Jie, and Qingpi are all miraculous drugs. For women, early treatment can eliminate it immediately. During menstruation, it is usually mild; after age fifty or sixty, when menstruation ceases, it should not be regarded lightly.
[Breast Carbuncle Formula] Qingpi, Gualou, Juye, Lianqiao, Taoren (keep tips), Zaojiaoci, Gancao Jie. If there is extensive ulceration, add Renshen (Ginseng Radix) and Huangqi (Astragali Radix).
[Jingyi] Shenxiao Gualou San treats Breast Carbuncle and Breast Rock with miraculous effect. Danxi also said: wonderful and swift. Perhaps for poor families unable to gather these herbs, using Dandelion Grass (Pugongying) later is especially good.
Gualou (one fruit, skin removed, roasted and powdered; fruits with many seeds are more potent), Gancao (raw), Danggui (soaked in wine, roasted, each half liang), Xuruxiang (Resina Olibani, separately ground), Moyao (Resina Myrrhae, separately ground, each two qian).
Grind all into powder. Use three sheng of pure wine without ash, slowly simmer in a silver or earthenware vessel to reduce to one sheng. Strain the clear liquid and divide into three doses, taken long after meals. If suffering from Breast Rock, take this medicine to eradicate the root. If the toxin has already formed pus, it will transform the pus into yellow fluid. If the toxin has not yet formed, it promotes clearance through urination and defecation. If the disease is severe, repeat the dosage until the pathogen recedes.
Lixiao San is taken alternately with the above formula for divine efficacy. It is the same as Gualou San but without Danggui, adding one liang six qian of purple Zaojiaoci.
[Bencao] Pugongying (Dandelion Herb) is sweet, neutral, and non-toxic. It mainly treats female breast carbuncles. Boil in water, drink the juice, and apply externally; it disappears immediately. Decocting with wine is better; apply the dregs to the affected area.
[Danxi] Pugongying grows everywhere in fields and roadsides. In March and April, it blooms yellow flowers like chrysanthemums. It is sweet in taste, detoxifies, and disperses stagnation. It likely enters the Yangming and Taiyin channels. Wash clean, grind finely, decoct strongly with Jin Yin Teng (Caulis Lonicerae Japonicae), add a little wine, and drink. Sleepiness follows immediately, and upon waking, the illness is gone.
[Yunqizi] Zhangshi Jupi Tang treats Breast Carbuncle: if not yet knotted, it dissipates; if knotted, it ulcerates. It is extremely painful and unbearable, yet miraculous. It also treats diseases caused by infants blowing milk. Use Chenpi (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae) alone, soak in water, remove white pith, dry, stir-fry with flour until slightly yellow, grind to fine powder. Mix with Shexiang (Moschus) ground in wine, take two qian. For initial redness, swelling, and pain, one dose shows effect.
[Danxi] For initial swelling and hardness of Breast Carbuncle, one dose cures it. Take real Huapi (Birch Bark) powder, administered with wine using a square-inch measure. Sleep and wake up, and the illness is gone. (From Lingyuan)
[Luo Qianfu] Shengjin Dan treats infant-induced breast engorgement (Chui Ru) with extreme efficacy.
Use Baichi Shuang (hair scale from wooden combs).
Take any amount of this single herb, make pills with Wugen Water (rainwater/snowmelt), size of Torreya seeds. Take three pills per dose, swallow with Daoliushui (reverse-flowing water) after meals. If the left breast is affected, lie on the left side; if the right, lie on the right side. Recover by sweating in a warm place. Daoliushui refers to water poured onto the roof and collected.
[Tujing] Treats female breast pain, unbearable. Use Chanshanjia (Squama Manis, roasted yellow), Mutong (Caulis Akebiae, each one liang), Ziran Tong (Calamina, half liang, raw). Grind three ingredients to fine powder. Take two qian per dose, mixed with warm wine, anytime.
[Jianyao] Female infant-induced breast engorgement, Dusheng San.
Baidingxiang (Stercus Columbae) half liang. Grind and sieve to powder. Take one qian bi per dose, mixed with warm wine, anytime.
[Yunqizi] Treats female infant-induced breast engorgement, Zaojiao San.
Rhyme says: How to treat female infant-induced breast engorgement? Burn Zaojiao (Fructus Gleditsiae Sinensis) to ash, mix with Ge Fen (Concha Meretricis), mix one character's worth with a cup of hot wine, rub and disperse quickly, laughing happily.
Another prescription:
Xuruxiang (ground, one qian), Gualou Gen (Radix Trichosanthis, one liang).
Grind uniformly, mix with warm wine, take two qian.
[Danxi] Yang Ruren suffered breast swelling and pain.
Qingpi, Shigao (calcined), Lianqiao, Zaojiaoci (fried), Huangyaozi (Bulbus Dioscoreae Hypoglaucae), Danggui Tou, Mutong (each one qian), Gancao (raw, three fen).
Make one packet, add a little good wine, decoct together and drink. Apply other medicines externally to wash the swollen area.
Yi Er Ruren had a nodule inside the breast normally, painless. Suddenly, another swollen nodule appeared near the nipple, somewhat painful.
Huangqin (Radix Scutellariae), Chuanxiong (Rhizoma Chuanxiong), Mutong, Chenpi (each four qian), Renshen (two qian), Shaoyao (Radix Paeoniae Alba, one qian), Dafupi (Pericarpium Arecae, three qian), Zhigancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata), Sheng Gancao (each one qian), Danggui Tou (one qian).
Divide into two packets, decoct and take.
[Danxi] Er Ruren experienced breast swelling only when menstruation was about to start. Two days prior, mouth felt dry but without thirst, appetite decreased. Pulse was wiry and rapid on the left, flat on the right. Treatment used Siwu Tang added with Chenpi, Baizhu (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae), Fuling (Poria), taken while hot. Combined with Dian Wan (Pointing Pill), thirty pills.
Postpartum breast engorgement: regulate with Maiya Yin (Malt Drink), it subsides spontaneously.
[Yunqizi] Lianqiao Tang treats postpartum Du Ru (nursing jealousy/engorgement) and carbuncle.
Lianqiao (Fructus Forsythiae), Shengma (Rhizoma Cimicifugae), Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas, each one liang), Xuanshen (Radix Scrophulariae), Shaoyao, Bailian (Bulbus Belamcandae), Fangji (Radix Stephaniae Tetrandrae), Shegan (Rhizoma Belamcandae, each eight qian), Dahuang (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei, two qian), Gancao (six qian), Xingren (Semen Pruni Armeniacae, forty pieces, skin and tip removed).
Cut into pieces. Use six sheng of water, boil down to two sheng. Add Dahuang, then Mangxiao. Divide into three doses.
[Danxi] A sixty-year-old woman, due to rich diet and depressed qi, with a solid constitution and jealous nature, no summer sweat, and irritable temper. Suddenly, a small nodule like a chess piece formed in the left breast, painless. She felt mentally poor, lost appetite, and taste vanished for half a month. Used Renshen Tang to mix Qingpi and Gancao powder, add fresh Ginger Juice (Shengjiang Zhi), sip slowly, five to six times a day and night. Dissipated in five to seven days. This was the beginning of Breast Rock. If not treated early, it hides for five to ten years before erupting, painless and non-itchy, ulcerating below the nipple like a rock cave oozing pus. [Jiayi Jing] Breast Carbuncle with chills, fever, shortness of breath, restless sleep: Yingchuang (ST17) governs. Breast Carbuncle with aversion to cold/fever, pain unyielding to pressure: Rugen (ST18) governs. Sudden fright breast pain: Liangqiu (ST34) governs. Breast Carbuncle with heat: Zusanli (ST36) governs. (For breast carbuncle pain unrelieved by herbs, insert Zusanli 5 fen, pain stops instantly.) Female Breast Carbuncle with fright: Jiuxia Lian (ST39) governs. (Qianjin says: Arm heavy/swollen, foot cannot lift, heel pain.) Breast Carbuncle: Taichong (LR3) and Fuliu (KI7) govern. Du Ru (Nursing Jealousy): Taiyuan (LU9) governs. Female residual breast disorders: Huangmen (BL52) governs.
