〔丹〕《外科精要》云∶痈疽入囊者死。囊为厥阴，今以死言之，将以为属少阴肾经邪？予亲
见入囊者七八人，悉以湿热入肝经施治，而用补阴药佐之，虽脓溃皮脱，睾丸悬挂可畏者，皆不
死。但未知下虚年老者如何耳？
〔《千》〕治丈夫阴头痈，师所不能医。用鳖甲一枚，烧末，以鸡子白和敷之良。
〔《精》〕治谷道前后生痈，谓之悬痈。用横纹甘草一两，四寸截断，以长流水一碗，文武火慢
慢蘸水炙，自早至午，炙令水尽，甘草中心见水润为透，细锉。却用无灰好酒二小杯，入甘草煎至
一杯，温服之，二三服便可保无虞。此病初发，如松子大，渐如莲子。数十日后，始觉赤肿如
桃子，即破。若破，难治。此药虽不能消，过二十日后，必尽消矣。投两服，亦无害。林判院尝患
此痈已破，服此药两服，疮即合，甚妙。
〔丹〕骑马痈。用大粉草带节四两，长流水一碗，以淬浸水尽，为末，入皂角灰少许，作
四服，汤调，顿服立效。
〔垣〕青皮汤治便毒。
青皮 防风 当归身 甘草梢（生。各等分）
上 咀，分作四服，水一小碗，煎至八分，去渣，大温服。空心，日进三服。
〔丹〕毒肿或着阴卵，或偏着一边痛，牵引小腹，痛不可忍。（方见痈疽杂病痛牵引小腹条。）
〔子和〕玉烛散（即四物汤、调胃承气汤各半服之也。）
〔世〕又方
刘寄奴 王不留行 大黄 金银花 木鳖子
上等分，酒水煎，露一宿，五更服。
〔丹〕便毒初起。
射干（二寸） 生姜（如指大捣细）
上取顺流水，煎微沸，服之，以泻为度。又用牛皮胶，醋煮涂患处。
已结成脓者。
大黄（半两） 枳实（三分） 浓朴（三钱） 甘草节（一钱） 连翘（半钱） 桃仁泥（二十一枚）
生姜（三片）
上作一帖，煎服之，
又，便毒。
青皮 白芷 柴胡 赤芍药 槟榔 朴硝 乌药 木瓜 大黄 连翘 栝蒌 生地黄
甘草节 三棱 蓬术 黄芩 犀角 皂角刺
上 咀，水三碗，煎至一碗，大饥服，以泻为度。
〔《山》〕便毒。取大蜘蛛一个，研细，热酒下。
〔丹〕又方用甘草节、白芷、黄连各等分。如破者，龙骨、白枯矾、赤石脂，并用铁围散。
痈疽肿毒亦治，用之效。
乳香 没药（各半两） 大黄 黄连 黄柏 南星 半夏 防风 羌活 皂角刺 木鳖子
栝蒌 甘草节 草乌尖 阿胶（另研）
上为细末，醋调成膏，以石器内，火熬黑色，鹅翎敷之。
【丹溪】《外科精要》说：痈疽发生在阴囊部位的会死亡。阴囊属于足厥阴肝经，现在却说会死，难道认为是归属于足少阴肾经受邪吗？我亲眼见过患阴囊痈的七八个人，全部采用清利湿热、调理肝经的方法治疗，并辅以滋阴药物，虽然出现脓液溃破、皮肤脱落、睾丸悬挂外露等令人畏惧的情况，但都没有死亡。只是不知道对于下元亏虚的高龄老人情况如何呢？
【《千金方》】治疗男子阴头生痈，即使是医生也难以治愈。用鳖甲一枚，烧成粉末，用鸡蛋清调和后敷在患处，效果很好。
【《外科精要》】治疗肛门前后生痈，称为悬痈。用横纹甘草一两，切成四寸长的段，用一碗长流水，在文火和武火之间慢慢蘸水炙烤，从早晨到中午，炙烤至水分完全蒸发，甘草中心呈现水润状态即为透，然后细细切碎。再用无灰好酒两小杯，加入甘草煎煮至一杯，温服，服用两三次便可保证安全无忧。此病初发时，如松子大小，逐渐增大如莲子。数十日后，才感觉红肿如桃子，随即破溃。如果已经破溃，则难治。此药虽然不能立即消除肿块，但服用二十日后，必然完全消散。服用两剂，也没有害处。林判院曾经患此痈且已破溃，服用此药两剂，疮口即愈合，非常奇妙。
【丹溪】骑马痈（生于胯间的痈肿）。用带节的粉草四两，一碗长流水，浸泡至水干，研成粉末，加入少许皂角灰，分为四服，用汤药调服，顿服后立即见效。
【李东垣】青皮汤治疗便毒（腹股沟淋巴结炎）。
青皮 防风 当归身 甘草梢（生用。各等分）
以上药材切碎，分为四服，用水一小碗，煎至八分满，去渣，大温服。空腹时，每日进服三剂。
【丹溪】毒肿或附着于阴卵，或偏着在一边疼痛，牵引小腹，痛不可忍。（方剂见痈疽杂病痛牵引小腹条。）
【世俗经验方】又一方
刘寄奴 王不留行 大黄 金银花 木鳖子
以上药材等分，用酒和水煎煮，露天放置一夜，五更时分服用。
【丹溪】便毒初起。
射干（二寸） 生姜（如手指大小，捣细）
以上取顺流水，煎至微沸，服用，以腹泻为度。另外用牛皮胶，醋煮后涂于患处。
已经结成脓者。
大黄（半两） 枳实（三分） 浓朴（三钱） 甘草节（一钱） 连翘（半钱） 桃仁泥（二十一枚） 生姜（三片）
以上作一帖，煎服。
另外，治疗便毒。

[Danxi] *Waike Jingyao* (Essentials of Surgery) states: Carbuncles and sores occurring in the scrotum are fatal. The scrotum belongs to the Jueyin Liver Meridian; now that it is said to be fatal, does this imply that the pathogen belongs to the Shaoyin Kidney Meridian? I have personally witnessed seven or eight cases of scrotal carbuncles, all treated by clearing damp-heat and regulating the Liver Meridian, assisted by Yin-nourishing herbs. Although pus ruptured, skin peeled off, and testicles hung exposed—sightings that were terrifying—all patients survived. However, it remains unknown how such treatment applies to elderly patients with deficiency in the lower jiao.
*[Qianjin Fang]* Treats carbuncle on the glans penis in men, a condition even skilled physicians may find difficult to cure. Use one turtle shell, calcined to powder, mixed with egg white, and applied topically. This yields good results.
*[Waike Jingyao]* Treats carbuncles arising before or after the anus, termed Xuan Yong (Hanging Carbuncle). Use one tael of licorice root with transverse striations, cut into four-cun segments. Simmer slowly in one bowl of long-flowing water, alternating between mild and strong heat, dipping water as needed from morning until noon, until the moisture is completely evaporated. The center of the licorice should appear moistened, indicating penetration. Finely chop. Then add two small cups of fine wine without ash, decoct with the licorice until reduced to one cup. Take warm. Two or three doses ensure safety. At onset, this disease is like a pine nut, gradually enlarging to the size of a lotus seed. After dozens of days, it becomes red and swollen like a peach, then ruptures. If ruptured, it is difficult to treat. Although this medicine cannot eliminate the swelling immediately, after twenty days, it will surely resolve completely. Taking two doses causes no harm. Vice President Lin once suffered from this carbuncle which had already ruptured; after taking two doses of this medicine, the wound healed. It is very effective.
[Danzhi] Qima Yong (Carbuncle straddling the crotch). Use four taels of licorice root with nodes. Soak in one bowl of long-flowing water until dry, grind into powder, add a small amount of soap pod ash, divide into four doses. Mix with decoction and take at once for immediate effect.
[Li Dongyuan] Qingpi Tang (Green Peel Decoction) treats Biandu (Inguinal Abscess/Lymphadenitis).
Qingpi (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Danggui Shen (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Gancao Shao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma - tip). (Equal parts, raw).
Chop the above ingredients, divide into four doses. Decoct one small bowl of water until reduced to 80%. Strain and take warm. On an empty stomach, take three doses daily.
[Danzhi] Toxic swelling attaching to the scrotum, or pain localized to one side, radiating to the lower abdomen, unbearable pain. (See formula under "Carbuncles and Sores with Pain Radiating to Lower Abdomen").
[Zhang Hezi] Yuzhu San (Jade Candle Powder) (Composed of half dose Siwu Tang and half dose Tiaowei Chengqi Tang taken together).
[Secular Formula] Another prescription:
Liuji Nu (Artemisiae Annuae Herba), Wangbuliuxing (Vaccariae Semen), Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), Jinyinhua (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos), Mubiezi (Strychni Semen).
Equal parts. Decoct with wine and water, expose overnight, take at the fifth watch (early morning).
[Danzhi] Early stage of Biandu.
Shegan (Belamcandae Rhizoma, 2 cun), Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, size of finger, crushed finely).
Take flowing water, boil gently, take orally. Stop when diarrhea occurs. Additionally, use Niu Pi Jiao (Colla Corii Asini) boiled in vinegar and applied topically.
If suppuration has formed:
Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, half liang), Zhishi (Aurantii Fructus Viridis, 3 fen), Houpo (Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex, 3 qian), Gancao Jie (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma - node, 1 qian), Lianqiao (Forsythiae Fructum, 0.5 qian), Taoren Ni (Persicae Semen paste, 21 kernels), Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, 3 slices).
Make one packet, decoct and take.
Another prescription for Biandu:
Qingpi, Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix), Chi Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra), Binglang (Arecae Semen), Poxiao (Natrii Sulfas), Wuyao (Linderae Radix), Mugua (Chaenomelis Fructus), Dahuang, Lianqiao, Gualou (Trichosanthis Fructus), Shengdihuang (Rehmanniae Radix), Gancao Jie, Sanleng (Sparganii Rhizoma), Pengze (Curcumae Zedoariae Rhizoma), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Xijiao (Rhinocerotis Cornu), Zaojiaoci (Gleditsiae Spina).
Chop the above, decoct three bowls of water until reduced to one bowl. Take when extremely hungry, stop when diarrhea occurs.
*[Shanju Fang]* Treats Biandu. Take one large spider, grind finely, swallow with hot wine.
[Danzhi] Another prescription uses equal parts of Gancao Jie, Baizhi, and Huanglian. If ruptured, add Longgu (Ossis Mastodi seu Femoris), Baikufan (Alumen Exsiccatum), and Chishizhi (Halloysitum Rubrum). Also apply Tie Wei San (Iron Enclosure Powder).
Effective for carbuncles, sores, and toxic swellings.
Ruxiang (Olibanum), Moyao (Myrrha) (each half liang), Dahuang, Huanglian, Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex), Nanxing (Arisaematis Rhizoma Preparatum), Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma), Fangfeng, Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), Zaojiaoci, Mubiezi, Gualou, Gancao Jie, Caowu Jian (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix Preparata - tip), Ejiao (Colla Corii Asini - separately ground).
Grind into fine powder, mix with vinegar to form a paste. Boil in a stone vessel over fire until black. Apply with a goose feather.
