一昼夜六七作，其作时有一酸块，自胸膈间直冲上咽喉，情状极恶。遂悉罢诸药，以黄连浓煎取
冷，俟酸块欲上时，以冷黄连汁数滴与之即回。如此六七次，半日许，其块亦除，于是罢药，淡
粥调养。又近三个月，时以立春节旬余。中脘处微有胀急，面带青色，气息喘促。时天气尚寒，
意谓脾土因久病衰弱，木气行令，此肝凌脾，急以索矩三和汤与之，至四日而安。
一妇人年四十余岁，因二十年忧患后心痛，或可按或不可按，食甚减，口渴而不能饮水，形
瘦骨立，心痛止则头痛作，其痛无常处。头痛止则心痛作，夜间全不寐，大便七八日一行．坚小
而黑，而出亦难。累与四物加陈皮、生甘草，前后约百余帖，病虽不增，却无退减。予曰∶此肺
久为火所郁，气不得行，由是血亦蓄塞，遂成污浊，气壅则头痛，血浊不行则心痛，通一病也，
治肺当自愈。遂仿东垣方清空膏例，片芩细切酒炒透，令赤色，为细末，以热白术汤调下，头上
稍汗，如此十余帖，渐渐汗至通身，及膝而止，诸病皆愈。因其膝下无汗，形瘦病久，小便数，
大便涩，两手皆见涩脉，当议补血，以防后患。问其又思水而不饮，遂与四物加陈皮、生甘草、
桃仁、酒芩以补之，遂安。
里实心痛，并见按之满痛为实条。丹溪云∶心痛脉坚实，不大便者下之。
〔罗〕化虫丸
鹤虱 槟榔 胡粉（炒） 苦楝根（去浓皮。各五十两） 白矾（飞，十二两）
上为末，面糊为丸桐子大。小儿疾病，多有诸虫，或因脏腑虚弱而动，或因食甘肥而动，动
即腹中疼痛，往来上下攻心痛则哭不休，合眼仰身扑手，心神闷乱，呕哕涎沫，或吐清水，四肢
羸困，面青色黄，饮食虽进，不生肌肉。或寒或热，沉沉默默，不的知病处。一岁儿服五丸，
温浆下，入香油一两点，打匀下之，
米饮亦得，其虫自下。
〔《保》〕妙香丸治男子妇人心痛，强中搐热如痫状。（方见燥门）
风痫者，羌活汤引下妙香丸。（羌活汤方见诸风条。）血痫者，当归汤引下妙香丸。（当
归汤方见诸血条。）
〔丹〕虫痛者，面上白斑，唇红能食，治用楝根锡灰之类，脉坚实不大便者下之。
〔罗〕补金散治诸般虫。
鹤虱（生） 雷丸 定粉 锡灰（以上各等分）
上为末，每服三钱，空心少油调下。又用猪肉一两，烧熟掺药在上，细嚼亦得，用翎毛
扫甘遂末一钱，与前药一处服之，其虫自下。
〔《本》〕治寸白虫方。黑铅灰炒，四钱一服，先吃猪肉脯少许，一时来，却用砂糖浓水半盏调
灰，五更服，虫尽下，白粥将息，一日良。
又疗寸白虫。用锡灰芜荑槟榔者，极佳。
予宣和中，每觉心中多嘈杂，意欲作饮，又疑虫，漫根据此方所说，翌日下长虫二条，一
长二尺五寸，头褊阔，尾尖锐，每寸作一节，斑如锦纹，一条皆寸断矣。《千金》谓劳则生热，
热则生虫，心虫曰蛔，脾虫曰寸白，肾虫如方截丝缕，肝虫如烂杏，肺虫如蚕，皆能杀人，惟肺
虫为急。肺虫居肺叶内，蚀人肺系，故成瘵疾，咯血声嘶，药所不到，治之为难。道藏中载诸虫
头皆向下行，唯自初一至初五以前头上行，故服药多取月 以前，盖为此也。
取寸白虫方。
画粉 密陀僧（各等分）
上为末，每服二钱，用麻油调服，空心下，顷刻成涎取下。
取寸白虫。
锡灰（一两） 木鳖 芦荟（二十文） 黄丹（十文） 轻粉（十文）
上为末，猪膏油丸如桐子大。先斋一日，晚莫吃饭，次早五更温水调下，分作二服。
制虫制劳，悦肌肤，去劳热。
槟榔（一两半） 龙胆草（一两） 干漆（半两）
上为细末，炼蜜丸如桐子大。每服十丸至十五丸，熟水吞下。
张仲文治寸白虫，熬胡粉令燥，平旦作肉 ，以药方寸匕，入 中服之效。
〔丹〕治诸虫。楝皮细末，米饮调下二钱匕。（《斗门方》。）
〔《千》〕主脾胃有虫，食即痛，面黄无色，疼痛无时，以石州芜荑仁二两，和面炒令黄色为
末，非时米饮，调二钱匕瘥。
〔《经》〕治蛔虫吐水心痛。鹤虱三两为末，蜜丸，平旦浆水服二十丸愈。《千金方》为末，
空心温醋汤下，虫当出。
〔《经》〕胸宿食冷，多寸白虫，每朝空心热酒调山豆根末三钱，服之其虫自出。
〔《简》〕治诸虫，在脏腑久不瘥。槟榔半两，炮，捣为末，每服一钱至二钱，葱蜜煎汤，
空心调下。
〔《外》〕疗蛔虫心痛，恶心吐水。干漆熬，捣蜜丸，服十五丸，日再服。
〔范汪〕治寸白虫方，野狼牙五两捣末，蜜丸麻子大，隔宿不夜食，明旦以浆水下一合，服尽愈。
〔《大》〕治寸白虫，以酸石榴东引根一握，净洗细锉，用水三升，煎取半碗以下去渣，五
更初温服尽，至明日取下虫一大团，永绝根本。一日吃粥补之。
〔《本》〕金樱东行根，治寸白虫，锉二两，入大米三十粒，水二升，煎五合，空心服，须臾
泻下。
〔《千》〕治寸白虫。茱萸根洗去土，四两切，以水酒各一升，渍一宿，平旦分再服。凡茱
萸皆用细根，东北阴者良，若梢大，如指以上者，皆不任用。
〔《食》〕治蛔虫，心痛面青，口中沫出。取临水 蓄叶一斤细切，以水三斗煮如饧，去渣，
空心服一升，虫即下。至重者再服。仍通宿不食，来日平明服之效。
〔《本》〕取寸白虫。苦丝瓜不以多少，研为末，每服二钱，好酒二盏，空心调服。
〔《竹》〕木香三棱散治腹中有虫，面色痿黄，一切积滞。
黑牵牛（半生半炒） 大腹子（多） 槟榔 雷丸 锡灰（醋炒） 三棱（煨） 蓬术（煨）
木香 大黄（以上各一两）
上为细末，每服三钱，空心用蜜水调下，或砂糖水亦可。须先将烧肉一片，口中半嚼之，
休咽下，吐退场门中肉汁，后服药。
上方，有攻性而下虫者。
〔《本》〕崔元亮海上方，治一切心痛，无问新久，以生地黄一味，随人所食多少，捣取汁，
搜面作 ，或冷淘食，良久当利出虫，长一尺许，头似笔管，后不复患。至元十年，通事舍
人崔抗女，患心痛垂气绝，遂作地黄冷淘食之，便吐一物，可方一寸，如虾蟆状，无目足等，
微似有口，盖为此物所苦，自此顿愈，面中忌用盐。
〔丹〕治蛔虫吐清水，气口刺痛。取生艾汁，隔宿勿食，以肥香脯方寸片先吃，令虫闻香，
次即饮一升，必下蛔虫，胸喉中觉有虫上下，偏喜闻葱豉油食之香者，两三日不食，开口而卧，
将油煎葱豉令香放口边，虫当自出，引而去之，但随所喜物用之亦可。
〔世〕治心痛。 草捣汁，醋和服之效。有人服此，吐虫二条，终身不发。
〔子和〕酒官杨仲仁，病心气痛。此人常好饮酒，初饮二三杯，必奔走三五十次，其酒稍散，
方能复席，饮至前量，醉后至明旦，呕清黄水数口，夜变鱼腥臭，六七日始安。戴人曰∶宜吐。
乃吐虫一条，青黄色，长六七寸，口目鼻俱全，二目膜瞒，状如蛇类。杨 干示人。
〔仲〕蛔虫为病，令人吐涎心痛，发作有时，毒药不止，甘草粉蜜汤主之。
甘草（二两） 粉（一两） 蜜（四两）
上三味，以水三升，先煮甘草取二升去渣，纳粉蜜搅令和，煎如薄粥，温服一升，瘥即止。
〔孙〕向大王宫中有一宫人，七太尉所宠也，忽患一疾，凡恶心则吐虫数条，后乃频作，七
太尉甚愍之，累治不瘥。每用杀虫药，则吐虫愈多，召孙诊之。孙曰∶六脉皆细，非虫脉也，
今虽吐虫，乃脏寒而虫不安，失居上膈，因而吐出。复用杀虫药，虫为药所苦，不能自安，所以
吐虫愈多也。孙遂用药，不三五服，皆一色丸子，虫遂不吐。明日再召孙至，六脉渐大，进前药
其病不作。后求方，乃硫黄、附子各一两，并末。粳米糊为丸，每三十丸，米饮下。
〔仲〕乌梅丸 治蛔。（方见伤寒厥阴病。）
〔河〕正气天香散治心痛，但忍气则发者。（方见虚实法。）
〔丹〕心痛脉涩者，有死血。又云∶作时饮汤水下作吃者，有死血，桃仁承气汤下之。（方见
伤寒。）凡治证，必要先问起居何如。假如心痛，有因平日喜食热物，以致死血留于胃口作痛，用
桃仁承气汤下之。切记，轻者用韭汁、桔梗，能开提其气，血药中兼用之。
〔《经》〕失笑散治妇人心痛，气刺不可忍。
五灵脂净好者、蒲黄等分为末，每二钱，用黄醋一杓，熬成膏，再入水一盏，煎至七分，热
服效。
〔世〕手拈散治心脾疼极验。诗云∶草果玄胡索，灵脂并没药，酒调三二钱，一似手拈却。
又治心痛。刘寄奴末六钱，玄胡索末四钱，姜汁热酒调服妙。
〔《简》〕治九种心痛，腹胁积聚滞气。筒子干漆二两，捣碎，炒出烟，细研醋煮，面糊和
丸如桐子大，每服五丸至七丸，热酒下，醋汤亦得，服无时。
〔《外》〕治心痛。当归为末，酒调服方寸匕。
〔丹〕治心痛，亦能治哮喘。半夏研碎香油炒，姜汁炊饼为丸，姜汤下二十丸。
五味咸 坚条海蛤丸，寒条栝蒌半夏薤白汤，表条桂麻石碱丸，皆治痰饮心痛之妙剂也。
〔世〕治心痛累效。陈年白蛳螺壳，洗净为末，热酒调下一钱半，即愈。
〔丹〕一味牡蛎粉，酒调下二钱，气实者可用。
治痰饮心痛，海蛤丸。
海蛤（烧为灰，研极细，过数日火毒散用之） 栝蒌仁（蒂穣同研）
上以海蛤入栝蒌内，干湿得所为丸，每服五十丸。
又方 治脾疼。海蛤粉佐香附末，用川芎、山栀、生姜汁煎，辣汤调服为佳。
〔《斗》〕治血气攻心，痛不可忍，以蓼根锉，酒浸服之瘥。
〔世〕心痛。枯矾、辰砂少许，每半钱，人参汤调下。一方，用白矾、辰砂糊丸，好醋吞下
神效。又方，辰砂一味研，好酷调服效。又方，用白矾为细末，每服一钱，茶调下。
〔《外》〕黄连汤《肘后》龙胆汤。（并见卒心痛热条。）
〔仲〕粉蜜丸 脾受肝制而急，故虫不安，用粉蜜之甘缓以安之。（方见虫条。）
〔《素》〕少阳所谓心胁痛者，言少阳盛也，盛者心之所表也，九月阳气尽而阴气盛，故心
胁痛也。所谓不可反侧者，阴气藏物也，物藏则不动，故不可反侧也。（脉解篇）
〔《瑞》〕蚕砂散治男子妇人心气痛不可忍者。晚蚕砂不拘多少，为细末，用滚汤泡过滤净，
取清水服之，立止。
又方 黄荆子炒焦为末，米饮调下，亦治白带。治心痛，用洗净玉簪花根，捣浓汁，杂和
好酒一半热服。
〔《千》〕治心腹俱痛，以布裹椒，薄注腹上火熨，令椒汗出良。
运气 心痛凡热风湿寒燥五气之初，皆能干心而痛，盖心为五脏之主故也。
一曰热邪干心。经云∶少阴司天，热淫所胜，病心痛肺 。又云∶少阴之复，暴喑心痛。
又少阳之胜，热客于胃，烦心心痛。又云∶阳明司天，燥气下临，暴热至甚则心痛。此在泉之
热为痛，治皆以寒剂是也。
二曰寒邪干心。经云∶太阳司天，寒气下临，甚则心痛。又云∶阳明司天之政，四之气，
寒雨降，病心痛。又云∶岁水太过，民病上下中寒，烦心，躁悸，心痛。又云∶岁金不及，炎火乃
行，复则寒雨暴至心痛。又云∶水郁之发，民病寒客心痛。又云∶太阳司天，寒淫所胜，病厥心
痛。又云∶太阳之复，心胃生寒，心痛痞满。又云∶少阳在泉，主胜则热反上行，而客于心，心
痛。盖终之气，寒胜其客也。又云∶岁火不及，寒乃大行，病郁冒蒙昧，心痛。又云∶太阳之胜，
寒厥入胃，则内生心痛。皆治以热剂是也。
三曰风邪干心伤胃。经云∶少阳司天之政，终之气风乃至，心痛。又云∶少阳司天，风行
于地，心痛，胃脘痛，鬲不通。又云∶岁水不及，湿乃大行，复则暴风大发，鬲中痛于心腹。
又云∶木郁之发，民病胃脘当心而痛，鬲咽不通。又云∶厥阴在泉，风淫所胜，心痛支满。又云∶
厥阴司天，风淫所胜，胃脘当心而痛。又云∶厥阴之复厥心痛。又厥阴之胜，胃脘当心而痛，治
皆以凉剂是也。
四曰湿邪干心。经云∶土郁之发，心痛胁 。又云∶太阴在泉，湿淫所胜，病饮积心痛。又云∶
太阴之胜，火气内郁，心痛热格，治皆以热剂是也。
五曰燥邪干心。经云∶阳明之复，善太息，心痛痞满。治以温剂是也。
六曰寒热中于心。经云∶少阴司天之政，寒热凌犯而争于中，寒厥入胃心痛。三之气，大
火行，寒气时至，民病气厥心痛。治分寒热多少调之是也。
厥心痛者，他脏病干之而痛，皆有治也。真心痛者，心脏自病而痛，故夕发旦死，旦发夕死，无
治也。然心脏之经络，有病在标者，其心亦痛，而有治。经云∶心手少阴之脉，是动则病嗌干心
痛，渴而欲饮。又心主手少阴之脉所生病者，心痛掌中热，皆视盛虚热寒陷下取之。又经云∶手
心主之别，名曰内关，去腕二寸，出于两筋之间，实则心痛，取之两筋间也。又云∶邪在心，
则病心痛，喜悲时眩仆，视有余不及，调其俞是也。
〔《灵》〕厥心痛，与背相控，善 ，如从后触其心，伛偻者，肾心痛也，先取京骨、昆仑，发
一昼夜发作六七次，发作时有一块酸性的硬物，从胸膈间直冲上咽喉，情状极其难受。于是停用所有药物，将黄连浓煎后放冷，等到酸性硬物欲上冲时，给患者滴入几滴冷的黄连汁，硬物随即退回。如此反复六七次，约半天时间，硬块也就消除了，于是停药，用淡粥调养。又过了近三个月，正值立春时节十几天后。中脘穴处微微感到胀急，面色发青，呼吸喘促。当时天气尚寒，我认为脾土因久病而衰弱，肝木之气当令，这是肝气侵犯脾土，急忙给予索矩三和汤服用，到第四天病情安定。
一位四十多岁的妇人，因二十年的忧患导致心痛，有时按压疼痛缓解，有时按压则加剧，食欲大减，口渴但不能饮水，身体消瘦如骨立，心痛停止则头痛发作，疼痛部位不固定。头痛停止则心痛发作，夜间完全无法入睡，大便七八天才排一次，粪便坚硬、细小且黑，排出困难。多次给予四物汤加陈皮、生甘草，前后约一百多帖，病情虽未加重，但也未见减退。我说：这是由于肺长期被火邪郁闭，气机不能运行，由此血液也蓄积堵塞，遂成污浊，气壅滞则头痛，血浊不行则心痛，这其实是同一个病，治疗肺脏应当自愈。于是仿照东垣的清空膏方例，将黄芩片细切后用酒炒透，使其呈赤色，研为细末，用热白术汤调服，头上稍出一点汗，如此服用十余帖，渐渐出汗遍及全身，直到膝盖停止，各种病症都痊愈了。因为患者膝下无汗，形体消瘦且病程长久，小便频数，大便涩滞，两手脉象皆见涩脉，应当商议补血，以防后患。询问她是否想喝水但不喝，于是给予四物汤加陈皮、生甘草、桃仁、酒炒黄芩来补益，病情遂安。
里实型心痛，并伴有按压时满痛属于实证。丹溪说：心痛脉象坚实，不大便的，用泻下法。
〔罗〕化虫丸
鹤虱 槟榔 胡粉（炒） 苦楝根（去粗皮，各五十两） 白矾（飞制，十二两）
以上研为末，用面糊做成梧桐子大小的丸剂。小儿疾病，多有诸虫，或因脏腑虚弱而动，或因吃甘甜肥腻食物而动，一动即腹中疼痛，上下攻冲，心痛则哭个不停，合眼仰身扑手，心神烦闷混乱，呕吐涎沫，或吐出清水，四肢瘦弱困倦，面色青黄，饮食虽然进食，但不长肌肉。或寒或热，沉郁默默，不知病痛确切位置。一岁幼儿服五丸，用温浆水送下，加入香油一两点，搅匀服下，米饮也可以，虫子自然排出。
〔《保命集》〕妙香丸治疗男子妇人心痛，强中抽搐发热如癫痫状。（方剂见燥门条）
风痫证，用羌活汤引服妙香丸。（羌活汤方见诸风条。）血痫证，用当归汤引服妙香丸。（当归汤方见诸血条。）
〔丹〕虫痛者，面部有白斑，嘴唇红能食，治疗用苦楝根、锡灰之类，脉象坚实不大便的用泻下法。
〔罗〕补金散治疗各种寄生虫。

我在宣和年间，常觉得心中多嘈杂，想要喝饮料，又怀疑是虫，随意根据此方所说，第二天排出两条长虫，一条长二尺五寸，头扁阔，尾尖锐，每寸作一节，斑纹如锦缎，另一条全是寸断的。《千金方》说劳倦则生热，热则生虫，心虫叫蛔虫，脾虫叫寸白虫，肾虫如方截丝缕，肝虫如烂杏，肺虫如蚕，都能杀人，只有肺虫最急迫。肺虫居住在肺叶内，侵蚀人的肺系，所以形成瘵疾，咯血声嘶，药物难以到达，治疗很困难。道藏中记载诸虫头都向下行，唯独自初一至初五以前头向上行，所以服药多取月初以前，大概是因为这个原因。
取寸白虫方。
画粉 密陀僧（各等分）
以上研为末，每次服二钱，用麻油调服，空腹服下，顷刻化成涎液排出。
取寸白虫。
锡灰（一两） 木鳖 芦荟（二十文） 黄丹（十文） 轻粉（十文）
以上研为末，猪脂油丸如梧桐子大小。先斋戒一天，晚上不吃晚饭，次日清晨五更用温水调服，分两次服。

张仲文治疗寸白虫，熬胡粉令干燥，清晨做肉羹，将药方寸匕放入羹中服用有效。

〔仲景〕蛔虫为病，令人吐涎心痛，发作有时，毒药不止，甘草粉蜜汤主之。
甘草（二两） 粉（一两） 蜜（四两）
以上三味，以水三升，先煮甘草取二升去渣，纳粉蜜搅令和，煎如薄粥，温服一升，病愈即止。
〔孙思邈〕向大王宫中有一宫人，七太尉所宠也，忽患一疾，凡恶心则吐虫数条，后乃频作，七太尉甚愍之，累治不瘥。每用杀虫药，则吐虫愈多，召孙诊之。孙曰：六脉皆细，非虫脉也，今虽吐虫，乃脏寒而虫不安，失居上膈，因而吐出。复用杀虫药，虫为药所苦，不能自安，所以吐虫愈多也。孙遂用药，不三五服，皆一色丸子，虫遂不吐。明日再召孙至，六脉渐大，进前药其病不作。后求方，乃硫黄、附子各一两，并末。粳米糊为丸，每三十丸，米饮下。
〔仲景〕乌梅丸 治疗蛔虫。（方见伤寒厥阴病条。）
〔河间〕正气天香散治疗心痛，但忍气则发者。（方见虚实法条。）
〔丹溪〕心痛脉涩者，有死血。又云：作时饮汤水下作吃者，有死血，桃仁承气汤下之。（方见伤寒条。）凡治证，必要先问起居何如。假如心痛，有因平日喜食热物，以致死血留于胃口作痛，用桃仁承气汤下之。切记，轻者用韭汁、桔梗，能开提其气，血药中兼用之。
〔《经》〕失笑散治疗妇人心痛，气刺不可忍。
五灵脂净好者、蒲黄等分为末，每次二钱，用黄醋一杓，熬成膏，再入水一盏，煎至七分，热服效。
〔世〕手拈散治疗心脾疼极验。诗云：草果玄胡索，灵脂并没药，酒调三二钱，一似手拈却。
又治心痛。刘寄奴末六钱，玄胡索末四钱，姜汁热酒调服妙。
〔《简要济众方》〕治疗九种心痛，腹胁积聚滞气。筒子干漆二两，捣碎，炒出烟，细研醋煮，面糊和丸如梧桐子大，每次服五丸至七丸，热酒下，醋汤亦得，服无定时。
〔丹溪〕治疗心痛，亦能治哮喘。半夏研碎香油炒，姜汁炊饼为丸，姜汤下二十丸。
五味咸坚条海蛤丸，寒条栝蒌半夏薤白汤，表条桂麻石碱丸，皆治痰饮心痛之妙剂也。
〔世〕治疗心痛累效。陈年白蛳螺壳，洗净为末，热酒调下一钱半，即愈。
〔丹溪〕一味牡蛎粉，酒调下二钱，气实者可用。
治疗痰饮心痛，海蛤丸。
海蛤（烧为灰，研极细，过数日火毒散用之） 栝蒌仁（蒂穣同研）
以上以海蛤入栝蒌内，干湿得所为丸，每次服五十丸。
又方 治疗脾疼。海蛤粉佐香附末，用川芎、山栀、生姜汁煎，辣汤调服为佳。
〔《斗门方》〕治疗血气攻心，痛不可忍，以蓼根锉，酒浸服之瘥。
〔世〕心痛。枯矾、辰砂少许，每次半钱，人参汤调下。一方，用白矾、辰砂糊丸，好醋吞下神效。又方，辰砂一味研，好醋调服效。又方，用白矾为细末，每次服一钱，茶调下。
〔《外台秘要》〕黄连汤《肘后备急方》龙胆汤。（并见卒心痛热条。）

〔《瑞竹堂经验方》〕蚕砂散治疗男子妇人心气痛不可忍者。晚蚕砂不拘多少，为细末，用滚汤泡过滤净，取清水服之，立止。
又方 黄荆子炒焦为末，米饮调下，亦治白带。治心痛，用洗净玉簪花根，捣浓汁，杂和好酒一半热服。
〔《千金方》〕治疗心腹俱痛，以布裹椒，薄注腹上火熨，令椒汗出良。
运气 心痛凡热风湿寒燥五气之初，皆能干心而痛，盖心为五脏之主故也。
一曰热邪干心。经云：少阴司天，热淫所胜，病心痛肺 。又云：少阴之复，暴喑心痛。
又少阳之胜，热客于胃，烦心心痛。又云：阳明司天，燥气下临，暴热至甚则心痛。此在泉之热为痛，治皆以寒剂是也。
二曰寒邪干心。经云：太阳司天，寒气下临，甚则心痛。又云：阳明司天之政，四之气，寒雨降，病心痛。又云：岁水太过，民病上下中寒，烦心，躁悸，心痛。又云：岁金不及，炎火乃行，复则寒雨暴至心痛。又云：水郁之发，民病寒客心痛。又云：太阳司天，寒淫所胜，病厥心痛。又云：太阳之复，心胃生寒，心痛痞满。又云：少阳在泉，主胜则热反上行，而客于心，心痛。盖终之气，寒胜其客也。又云：岁火不及，寒乃大行，病郁冒蒙昧，心痛。又云：太阳之胜，寒厥入胃，则内生心痛。皆治以热剂是也。
三曰风邪干心伤胃。经云：少阳司天之政，终之气风乃至，心痛。又云：少阳司天，风行于地，心痛，胃脘痛，鬲不通。又云：岁水不及，湿乃大行，复则暴风大发，鬲中痛于心腹。又云：木郁之发，民病胃脘当心而痛，鬲咽不通。又云：厥阴在泉，风淫所胜，心痛支满。又云：厥阴司天，风淫所胜，胃脘当心而痛。又云：厥阴之复厥心痛。又厥阴之胜，胃脘当心而痛，治皆以凉剂是也。
四曰湿邪干心。经云：土郁之发，心痛胁 。又云：太阴在泉，湿淫所胜，病饮积心痛。又云：太阴之胜，火气内郁，心痛热格，治皆以热剂是也。
五曰燥邪干心。经云：阳明之复，善太息，心痛痞满。治以温剂是也。
六曰寒热中于心。经云：少阴司天之政，寒热凌犯而争于中，寒厥入胃心痛。三之气，大火行，寒气时至，民病气厥心痛。治分寒热多少调之是也。
厥心痛者，他脏病干之而痛，皆有治也。真心痛者，心脏自病而痛，故夕发旦死，旦发夕死，无治也。然心脏之经络，有病在标者，其心亦痛，而有治。经云：心手少阴之脉，是动则病嗌干心痛，渴而欲饮。又心主手少阴之脉所生病者，心痛掌中热，皆视盛虚热寒陷下取之。又经云：手心主之别，名曰内关，去腕二寸，出于两筋之间，实则心痛，取之两筋间也。又云：邪在心，则病心痛，喜悲时眩仆，视有余不及，调其俞是也。
Between one day and night, the condition occurs six or seven times. During an episode, a sour lump rises directly from the chest and diaphragm up to the throat, presenting a very distressing situation. All other medications were then discontinued. Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian, 黄连) was decocted strongly, cooled, and when the sour lump was about to rise, a few drops of the cold Coptidis Rhizoma juice were administered, causing the lump to retreat. After repeating this six or seven times, over approximately half a day, the lump disappeared. Medication was then stopped, and nourishment was provided with light rice gruel. Nearly three months later, around ten days after the Start of Spring solar term, there was slight distension and urgency at the Zhongwan (CV12) point, the face appeared bluish, and breathing was panting. The weather was still cold. I reasoned that the Spleen Earth had weakened due to prolonged illness, and the Liver Wood Qi was in command; this is Liver Qi invading the Spleen. I urgently administered Suo Ju San He Tang, and by the fourth day, the patient was stable.
A woman in her forties suffered from Heart Pain (Xintong) after twenty years of worry and anxiety. The pain could sometimes be relieved by pressure and sometimes aggravated by it. Her appetite was significantly reduced, she felt thirsty but could not drink water, and she was emaciated with visible bones. When the Heart Pain ceased, Headache (Tou Tong) would begin, with no fixed location for the pain. When the Headache ceased, the Heart Pain would return. She could not sleep at all at night, and bowel movements occurred only once every seven or eight days; the stool was hard, small, black, and difficult to pass. She had taken roughly over a hundred doses of Siwu Tang (Four Substances Decoction) added with Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium) and raw Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma). Although the condition did not worsen, it did not improve either. I said: This is because the Lung has been long constrained by Fire, preventing Qi from moving, which in turn causes Blood to accumulate and block, becoming turbid. Qi stagnation causes Headache, and turbid Blood failing to circulate causes Heart Pain; these are essentially the same disease. Treating the Lung should lead to self-healing. Therefore, following Dongyuan's Qingkong Gao (Clearing Heaven Paste) formula example, Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix) slices were finely cut, thoroughly stir-fried with wine until reddish, ground into fine powder, and taken mixed with hot Baizhu Tang (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Decoction). Slight sweating on the head occurred. After taking this for more than ten doses, sweating gradually spread to the entire body, stopping at the knees, and all diseases were cured. Because there was no sweating below the knees, the body was emaciated, the disease was chronic, urination was frequent, defecation was obstructed, and both wrists showed a Choppy pulse (Se Mai, 涩脉), blood-nourishing measures should be discussed to prevent future complications. Asking if she desired water but did not drink, I prescribed Siwu Tang added with Chenpi, raw Gancao, Taoren (Persicae Semen), and wine-fried Huangqin to nourish, and she recovered.
Interior Excess type Heart Pain is characterized by fullness and pain upon palpation, indicating Excess. Danxi stated: If the pulse for Heart Pain is firm and solid, and there is constipation, use purgation.
[Luo] Huachong Wan (Parasite-Destroying Pill)
Narthex root (Sheshi, 鹤虱) Areca seed (Binglang, 槟榔) Lead oxide (Hufen, 胡粉 - fried) Toosendan fruit bark (Kuilian gen, 苦楝根 - remove thick bark, each 50 liang) Alum (Baifan, 白矾 - sublimed, 12 liang)
Grind the above into powder, make pills with wheat paste the size of paulownia seeds. Children's diseases often involve various parasites, which may move due to weakness of the Zang-Fu organs or due to consuming sweet and fatty foods. When they move, abdominal pain occurs, attacking up and down. If it attacks the Heart causing pain, the child cries incessantly, closes eyes, arches back, flails hands, feels mental confusion and oppression, vomits saliva or clear water, limbs become emaciated and weak, complexion is blue-yellow. Although food intake continues, muscles do not grow. Symptoms may be cold or hot, dull and silent, with uncertain location of pain. One-year-old infants take five pills, washed down with warm grain water, adding one or two drops of sesame oil, mixed well before administration. Rice drink is also acceptable; the parasites will naturally be expelled.
[Baoming Ji] Miaoxiang Wan treats Heart Pain in men and women, accompanied by strong spasms, convulsions, and fever resembling epilepsy. (Formula see Dryness Section)
For Wind Epilepsy (Feng Xian), guide Miaoxiang Wan with Qianghuo Tang. (Qianghuo Tang formula see Wind Conditions Section.) For Blood Epilepsy (Xue Xian), guide Miaoxiang Wan with Danggui Tang. (Danggui Tang formula see Blood Conditions Section.)
[Danxi] For Parasite Pain, white spots appear on the face, lips are red, and appetite is good. Treatment uses Toosendan root and Tin Ash. If the pulse is firm and solid with constipation, use purgation.
[Luo] Bujin San treats various parasites.
Narthex root (raw) Polyporus (Leiyuan, 雷丸) Calamine (Dingfen, 定粉) Tin Ash (Xihui, 锡灰) (Equal parts)
Grind into powder. Take 3 qian per dose, mix with a little oil and take on an empty stomach. Alternatively, roast one liang of pork, sprinkle the medicine on it, and chew thoroughly. Or, use a feather to sweep 1 qian of Kansui Radix (Gansui, 甘遂) powder and take it with the previous medicine; the parasites will be expelled.
[Bencao] Formula for Taenia (Cunbai Chong). Stir-fry Black Lead Ash (Qianhui, 铅灰), 4 qian per dose. First eat a little dried pork jerky. After one hour, mix the ash with half a cup of strong sugar water and take at Wugeng time (3-5 AM). The parasites will be fully expelled. Nourish with white rice gruel. Effective within one day.
Another treatment for Taenia using Tin Ash, Xanthium seed (Wuyi, 芜荑), and Areca seed is excellent.
During the Xuanhe era, I often felt gastric discomfort and wanted to drink, suspecting parasites. I casually followed the methods described in the aforementioned formulas. The next day, I expelled two long worms. One was two chi five cun long, with a broad flat head and sharp tail, segmented every cun, patterned like brocade. The other was entirely broken into segments. *Qianjin Fang* states that labor generates heat, and heat generates parasites. The Heart parasite is called Ascaris (Hui, 蛔); the Spleen parasite is Taenia (Cunbai, 寸白); the Kidney parasite resembles cut threads; the Liver parasite resembles rotten apricots; the Lung parasite resembles silkworms. All can be fatal, but the Lung parasite is most urgent. The Lung parasite resides within the lung lobes, eroding the lung system, thus forming Tuberculosis (Zhai Ji, 瘵疾), characterized by hemoptysis and hoarseness. Medicine cannot reach it easily, making treatment difficult. Daoist texts record that parasite heads generally move downward, except from the first to the fifth day of the lunar month, when they move upward. Therefore, medication is often taken before the beginning of the month, likely for this reason.
Formula to expel Taenia.
Kaolin (Huafen, 画粉) Litharge (Miduoseng, 密陀僧) (Equal parts)
Grind into powder. Take 2 qian per dose, mix with hempseed oil and take on an empty stomach. It will turn into saliva and be expelled shortly.
Formula to expel Taenia.
Tin Ash (1 liang) Momordica seed (Mubie, 木鳖) Aloe (Luhui, 芦荟) (20 wen) Red Lead (Huandan, 黄丹) (10 wen) Calomel (Qingfen, 轻粉) (10 wen)
Grind into powder, form pills with lard the size of paulownia seeds. Fast for one day, eat nothing for dinner. At Wugeng time the next morning, take with warm water, divided into two doses.
Controls parasites and consumption, beautifies skin, removes deficiency heat.
Areca seed (1.5 liang) Gentian root (Longdan cao, 龙胆草) (1 liang) Dried Myrobalan (Ganqi, 干漆) (0.5 liang)
Grind into fine powder, form pills with refined honey the size of paulownia seeds. Take 10-15 pills per dose, swallow with cooked water.
Zhang Zhongwen treats Taenia by frying Lead Oxide until dry. In the morning, make meat soup, place a square-inch measure of the medicine into the soup, and take it. Effective.
[Danxi] Treats various parasites. Toosendan bark fine powder, mix with rice drink and take 2 qian bi. (*Doumen Fang*.)
*[Qianjin Fang]* Mainly treats stomach and spleen parasites. Pain occurs immediately after eating, complexion is yellow and lusterless, pain is irregular. Use 2 liang of Shizhou Xanthium kernel, stir-fry with flour until yellow, grind into powder. Take 2 qian bi mixed with rice drink at non-meal times. Curative.
*[Jing]* Treats Ascaris vomiting water and Heart Pain. Narthex root 3 liang, grind into powder, make pills with honey. Take 20 pills with grain water in the morning. Curative. *Qianjin Fang* says to take as powder with warm vinegar water on an empty stomach; the parasite should be expelled.
*[Jing]* Cold retained food in the chest often leads to Taenia. Every morning on an empty stomach, take 3 qian of Manjakja powder (Shandougen, 山豆根) mixed with hot wine. The parasite will come out naturally.
*[Jianyi Jizhong Fang]* Treats various parasites lingering in the Zang-Fu for a long time without cure. Areca seed 0.5 liang, processed, grind into powder. Take 1-2 qian per dose, mix with scallion and honey decoction, take on an empty stomach.
*[Waitai Miyao]* Treats Ascaris Heart Pain, nausea, and vomiting of water. Process Dried Myrobalan, grind, make pills with honey. Take 15 pills, twice daily.
[Fan Wang] Formula for Taenia. Wild wolf tooth root 5 liang, grind into powder, make pills with honey the size of hemp seeds. Do not eat supper the night before. Next morning, wash down with one he of grain water. Complete cure after finishing the dose.
*[Daguan Bencao]* Treats Taenia. Take one handful of the east-growing root of sour pomegranate, wash clean, cut finely. Boil in three sheng of water until reduced to less than half a bowl. Remove dregs. Take warm at early Wugeng time. By tomorrow, a large mass of parasites will be expelled, cutting off the root cause. Nourish with rice porridge for one day.
*[Bencao]* East-growing root of Rosa laevigata (Jinyingzi, 金樱子) treats Taenia. Cut 2 liang, add 30 grains of rice, boil in two sheng of water until reduced to five he. Take on an empty stomach; diarrhea will occur shortly.
*[Qianjin Fang]* Treats Taenia. Wash Eucommia root to remove soil, cut 4 liang. Soak overnight in one sheng of water and one sheng of wine. Divide and take twice in the morning. Always use fine roots of Eucommia; those from the northeast shade are best. If the branches are too thick (larger than a finger), do not use them.
*[Shiliao Bencao]* Treats Ascaris, Heart Pain, bluish face, and foaming at the mouth. Take one jin of fresh Polygonum hydropiper leaves growing near water, cut finely. Boil in three dou of water until it becomes like syrup. Remove dregs. Take one sheng on an empty stomach; the parasite will be expelled. For severe cases, take again. Fast overnight. Take at dawn the next day for best effect.
*[Bencao]* Extract Taenia. Bitter loofah sponge, any amount, grind into powder. Take 2 qian per dose, mix with two cups of good wine, take on an empty stomach.
*[Zhu]* Muxiang Sanleng San treats intestinal parasites, sallow complexion, and all types of stagnation.
Black Morning Glory seed (Heiqianniu, 黑牵牛) (Half raw, half fried) Areca nut (Dafuzi, 大腹子) (Use more) Areca seed (Binglang, 槟榔) Polyporus (Leiyuan, 雷丸) Tin Ash (acid-fried) Burret rhizome (Sanleng, 三棱) Curcuma rhizome (Pengzhu, 蓬莪术) (Both roasted) Aromatic ginger (Muxiang, 木香) Rhubarb (Dahuang, 大黄) (All equal parts, 1 liang)
Grind into fine powder. Take 3 qian per dose, mix with honey water on an empty stomach, or sugar water is also acceptable. First, chew a piece of roasted meat in the mouth but do not swallow; spit out the meat juices from the anus, then take the medicine.
The above formulas have attacking properties to expel parasites.
*[Bencao]* Cui Yuanliang's Sea Prescription treats all Heart Pain, whether new or old. Use fresh Rehmannia root alone. Depending on how much the person eats, crush and extract the juice. Mix with flour to make cakes, or eat as cold noodles. After some time, the parasites will be expelled via bowels, about one chi long, with a head resembling a pen tube. No further recurrence. In the tenth year of Zhiyuan, Cui Kang, a messenger, had a daughter suffering from severe Heart Pain nearing death. She ate the Rehmannia cold noodles, vomited an object about one inch square, shaped like a toad, without eyes or feet, with a faint mouth opening. Suffering from this creature, she was instantly cured. Avoid salt in面食 (wheat-based foods).
[Danxi] Treats Ascaris vomiting clear water, stabbing pain at the Qi Kou pulse point. Extract fresh Mugwort juice. Fast overnight. First eat a square-inch piece of fragrant fat jerky so the parasite smells the fragrance. Then drink one sheng of the juice; Ascaris must be expelled. If the parasite moves in the chest and throat, prefer eating fragrant green onion and fermented soybean oil. Fast for two to three days, lie with mouth open. Fry green onions and fermented soybeans in oil until fragrant, hold near the mouth; the parasite should emerge and be guided away. Alternatively, use whatever food the patient craves.
*[Shi]* Treats Heart Pain. Crush [specific herb] leaves, extract juice, mix with vinegar and take. Effective. Someone took this and vomited two worms, never recurring in their lifetime.
[Zihe]* Yang Zhongren, a wine official, suffered from Heart Qi Pain. He loved drinking alcohol. After drinking two or three cups, he had to run around thirty to fifty times. Only when the alcohol dispersed could he return to the table. Drinking up to his usual limit, he would get drunk and stay awake until dawn, vomiting several mouthfuls of clear yellow water, which turned fishy-smelly at night. He stabilized after six or seven days. Dairen said: Vomiting is indicated. He vomited one worm, greenish-yellow, six or seven cun long, with complete mouth, eyes, and nose, eyes covered by membrane, resembling a snake. Yang demonstrated it to others.
*[Zhongjing]* Ascaris disease causes spitting of saliva and Heart Pain, occurring intermittently. If toxic drugs fail, Gancao Fenmi Tang (Licorice, Starch, and Honey Decoction) is the primary treatment.
Licorice (2 liang) Starch (1 liang) Honey (4 liang)
Take the three ingredients with three sheng of water. First decoct Licorice to obtain two sheng, remove dregs. Add starch and honey, stir and mix. Simmer until thin porridge consistency. Take one sheng warm. Stop when cured.
*[Sun Simiao]* In the palace of King Xiang, there was a palace maid favored by the Seventh Taiwei. Suddenly she fell ill; whenever she felt nauseous, she would vomit several worms, which became frequent. The Seventh Taiwei pitied her greatly, and repeated treatments failed. Whenever parasiticidal drugs were used, more worms were vomited. Sun was summoned. Sun said: All six pulses are fine/thin, not indicative of parasites. Although worms are being vomited now, it is due to Cold in the Zang organs causing the worms to feel uneasy, losing their residence in the upper diaphragm, and thus being vomited. Using more parasiticides harms the worms, causing them to feel even more uneasy, hence more worms are vomited. Sun then prescribed medication. Within three to five doses of uniform-colored pills, the vomiting of worms ceased. The next day, Sun was summoned again; the six pulses gradually enlarged, and continuing the previous medication prevented the disease from recurring. Later requested the formula: Sulfur and Prepared Aconite Root (Fuzi, 附子), each 1 liang, ground into powder. Form pills with glutinous rice paste. Take 30 pills per dose with rice drink.
*[Zhongjing]* Wu Mei Wan (Mume Pill) treats Ascaris. (Formula see Shaoyin Disease of Cold Damage, Jueyin Chapter.)
*[He Jian]* Zhengqi Tianxiang San treats Heart Pain, which flares up when holding back anger. (Formula see Deficiency-Excess Methods.)
[Danxi] If the pulse for Heart Pain is Choppy, there is dead Blood. Also stated: If drinking hot water during an episode causes pain, there is dead Blood. Use Tao Ren Cheng Qi Tang (Peach Kernel and Rhubarb Decoction) to purge it. (Formula see Cold Damage.) In treating any syndrome, one must first ask about daily habits. For instance, Heart Pain caused by a habit of eating hot foods, leading to dead Blood stagnating in the stomach causing pain, should be treated with Tao Ren Cheng Qi Tang to purge. Remember, for mild cases, use Chinese chive juice and Platycodon root, which can lift Qi, and combine them with Blood-invigorating medicines.
*[Jing]* Shixiao San (Laughing Dispersal Powder) treats Heart Pain in women, unbearable stabbing Qi pain.
High-quality Five-Ling-Zhi (Trogopterori Faeces, 五灵脂) and Pollen Typhae (Puhuang, 蒲黄) in equal parts, grind into powder. Take 2 qian per dose. Use one ladle of yellow vinegar, simmer into a paste. Add one cup of water, decoct until 70% remains. Take hot. Effective.
*[Shi]* Shounian San (Hand-Picking Ease Powder) is extremely effective for extreme Heart and Spleen pain. Poem: Caoguo (Black Cardamom) and Yanhusuo (Corydalis), Lingzhi (Trogopterori Faeces) and Mayao (Myrrh). Mixed with wine, 2-3 qian, feels as if picked away by hand.
Another treatment for Heart Pain. Liu Jinu (Artemisia anomala) powder 6 qian, Yanhusuo powder 4 qian. Mix with ginger juice and hot wine. Excellent.
*[Jianyi Jizhong Fang]* Treats Nine Types of Heart Pain, abdominal and hypochondriac accumulation and stagnant Qi. Tube-shaped Dried Myrobalan 2 liang, crush, stir-fry until smoke appears, grind finely, decoct with vinegar, mix with wheat paste to make pills the size of paulownia seeds. *[Waitai Miyao]* Treats Heart Pain. Angelica sinensis powder, mix with wine and take one square-inch measure.
[Danxi] Treats Heart Pain, also treats asthma. Crush Pinellia tuber, stir-fry in sesame oil. Make pills with ginger juice steamed bread. Take 20 pills with ginger decoction.
Hai Ge Wan (Clam Shell Pill) from the Salty/Firm section, Gua Lou Ban Xia Xie Bai Tang (Trichosanthes, Pinellia, and Macrostemon Decoction) from the Cold section, Gui Ma Shi Jian Wan (Cinnamon, Ephedra, and Alkali Pill) from the Exterior section, are all excellent remedies for Phlegm-Fluid Heart Pain.
*[Shi]* Treats Heart Pain with cumulative efficacy. Old white snail shell, wash clean, grind into powder. Take 1.5 qian mixed with hot wine. Immediate cure.
[Danxi] Oyster Shell Powder (Muli Fen, 牡蛎粉) alone, mix with wine and take 2 qian. Suitable for those with Excess Qi.
Treating Phlegm-Fluid Heart Pain: Hai Ge Wan.
Sea Clam Shell (burned to ash, ground extremely fine, wait several days for fire toxicity to dissipate before use) Trichosanthes Seed (Gualou Ren, 瓜蒌仁) (grind together with the stem and pulp)
Place the sea clam ash inside the Trichosanthes seed, adjust moisture content appropriately to make pills. Take 50 pills per dose.
Another Formula: Treats Spleen Pain. Sea Clam Powder assisted with Cyperus powder. Decoct Ligusticum, Gardenia, and ginger juice. Mix with spicy liquid for administration. Best.
*[Doumen Fang]* Treats Blood and Qi attacking the Heart, unbearable pain. Cut Polygonum multiflorum root, soak in wine and take. Curative.
*[Shi]* Heart Pain. Calcined Alum (Kufan, 枯矾) and Cinnabar (Chensha, 辰砂) in small amounts. Take half a qian per dose, mix with Ginseng decoction. Another prescription: White Alum and Cinnabar made into pills with paste, swallowed with good vinegar. Divine efficacy. Another prescription: Grind Cinnabar alone, mix with good vinegar and take. Effective. Another prescription: White Alum ground into fine powder, take 1 qian per dose, mix with tea. Effective.
*[Waitai Miyao]* Huanglian Tang (Coptis Decoction) [Zhouhou] Longdan Tang (Gentian Decoction). (See Acute Heart Pain Heat Section.)
*[Zhongjing]* Fenmi Wan (Starch and Honey Pill). Spleen is controlled by Liver and becomes tense, so parasites are uneasy. Use the sweetness and slackening nature of starch and honey to calm them. (Formula see Parasite Section.)
*[Suwen]* What Shaoyang calls Heart-Hypochondriac Pain refers to Shaoyang Excess. Excess is the exterior manifestation of the Heart. In the ninth month, Yang Qi ends and Yin Qi abounds, hence Heart-Hypochondriac Pain. What is called inability to turn or side lies is because Yin Qi stores things; when things are stored, they do not move, hence inability to turn or side. (Maijie Chapter)
*[Ruizhutang Jingyan Fang]* Can Sha San (Silkworm Sand Powder) treats unbearable Heart Qi Pain in men and women. Late silkworm sand, any amount, grind into fine powder. Steep in boiling water, filter cleanly, take the clear water. Stops immediately.
Another Formula: Stir-fry Vitex fruit until scorched, grind into powder, mix with rice drink. Also treats leukorrhea. For Heart Pain, wash clean Hemerocallis radicle, crush to extract thick juice, mix with half good wine, take hot.
*[Qianjin Fang]* Treats simultaneous Heart and Abdominal Pain. Wrap Sichuan pepper in cloth, apply thinly to abdomen, warm compress until pepper sweats. Good.
Qi Yun (Six Qi Movements) Heart Pain: Initially, Heat, Wind, Dampness, Cold, and Dryness can all affect the Heart causing pain, because the Heart is the master of the Five Zang organs.
First, Heat Evil affecting the Heart. Classics state: When Shaoyin governs the Heaven, Heat excess wins, causing Heart Pain and Lung [symptoms]. Also: Shaoyin Rebound, sudden aphonia and Heart Pain. Also: Shaoyang Victory, Heat enters the Stomach, causing vexation and Heart Pain. Also: Yangming governs the Heaven, Dryness descends, sudden severe Heat causes Heart Pain. This Heat from the Lower Heaven causes pain; treatment is always with Cold agents.
Second, Cold Evil affecting the Heart. Classics state: Taiyang governs the Heaven, Cold descends, severe cases cause Heart Pain. Also: Yangming governs the Heaven's administration, fourth Qi period, cold rain falls, causing Heart Pain. Also: Year of excessive Water, people suffer from cold in upper, middle, and lower, vexation, restlessness, palpitations, Heart Pain. Also: Year of deficient Metal, Flaming Fire acts, rebound causes sudden cold rain and Heart Pain. Also: Water Depression release, people suffer from Cold invading the Heart causing Heart Pain. Also: Taiyang governs the Heaven, Cold excess wins, causing Jue Heart Pain. Also: Taiyang Rebound, Cold generates in Heart and Stomach, Heart Pain and fullness. Also: Shaoyang in the Lower Heaven, Master Victory causes Heat to reverse ascend and invade the Heart, causing Heart Pain. Because in the final Qi, Cold defeats the invader. Also: Year of deficient Fire, Cold acts largely, causing depression, dizziness, cloudiness, Heart Pain. Also: Taiyang Victory, Cold Jue enters the Stomach, internally generating Heart Pain. All are treated with Hot agents.
Third, Wind Evil affecting the Heart and damaging the Stomach. Classics state: Shaoyang governs the Heaven's administration, final Qi period Wind arrives, causing Heart Pain. Also: Shaoyang governs the Heaven, Wind moves on Earth, causing Heart Pain, Stomach epigastrium pain, diaphragm obstruction. Also: Year of deficient Water, Dampness acts largely, rebound causes violent wind, pain in the diaphragm center affecting Heart and Abdomen. Also: Wood Depression release, people suffer from Stomach epigastrium pain centered on the Heart, diaphragm and throat obstruction. Also: Jueyin in the Lower Heaven, Wind excess wins, causing Heart Pain and fullness. Also: Jueyin governs the Heaven, Wind excess wins, causing Stomach epigastrium pain centered on the Heart. Also: Jueyin Rebound causes Jue Heart Pain. Also: Jueyin Victory causes Stomach epigastrium pain centered on the Heart. All are treated with Cool agents.
Fourth, Damp Evil affecting the Heart. Classics state: Earth Depression release, Heart Pain and Hypochondriac [pain]. Also: Taiyin in the Lower Heaven, Damp excess wins, causing Fluid accumulation Heart Pain. Also: Taiyin Victory, Fire Qi internally constrained, Heart Pain with Heat rejection. All are treated with Hot agents.
Fifth, Dry Evil affecting the Heart. Classics state: Yangming Rebound, frequent sighing, Heart Pain and fullness. Treated with Warm agents.
Sixth, Cold and Heat conflicting in the Heart. Classics state: Shaoyin governs the Heaven's administration, Cold and Heat invade and contend in the middle, Cold Jue enters the Stomach causing Heart Pain. Third Qi period, Great Fire acts, Cold Qi arrives, people suffer from Qi Jue Heart Pain. Treatment adjusts based on the proportion of Cold and Heat.
Jue Heart Pain: Pain caused by other Zang organs affecting the Heart; all have treatments. True Heart Pain: The Heart itself is diseased and painful, thus evening onset means morning death, morning onset means evening death, no treatment exists. However, regarding the Heart meridians, if the disease is in the branch (biao), the Heart also hurts, and there is treatment. Classics state: The Hand-Shaoyin Heart Meridian, when moved, causes dry throat and Heart Pain, thirst and desire to drink. Also, diseases generated by the Hand-Shaoyin Heart Master Meridian include Heart Pain and heat in the palm. Treat by observing Excess/Deficiency, Heat/Cold, sinking/collapsing and selecting points accordingly. Also, the collateral of the Hand-Jueyin Pericardium is named Neiguan (PC6), two cun from the wrist, emerging between two tendons. Excess causes Heart Pain, select between the two tendons. Also, Evil in the Heart causes Heart Pain, preference for sadness, occasional dizziness and collapse. Observe Excess/Deficiency, regulate the Shu points.
