[From *Qianjin Fang*] A prescription for treating the five types of hemorrhoids. Collect the stems and leaves of *Xanthium strumarium* (Cang'er) on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, dry them, and grind them into powder. Take one fangcun bi (a square-inch measure) with water, or form pills the size of a paulownia seed. Administration yields immediate effect.
To wash painful hemorrhoids: Use Jingjie (*Schizonepetae Herba*), Puxiao (*Natrii Sulfas*), Sangjisheng (*Taxilli Herba*). These herbs relieve pain, resolve toxicity, dispel wind, clear heat from the Large Intestine, and calm the fetus. If swelling is present, add Wubeizi (*Galla Chinensis*) and Mubiezi (*Strychni Semen*).
