Tremor refers to shaking. Convulsion refers to trembling. The mutual interaction of Wind and Fire presents the image of shaking; compared to convulsions (spasmodic contraction of muscles with extension and flexion of limbs), its intensity is milder. The *Neijing* states: "All wind diseases characterized by tremors, dizziness, and vertigo belong to the Liver." Here, "diao" refers to tremors and convulsions. It also states: "All cases of jaw clenching, shivering, and chattering teeth, resembling a loss of spiritual control, belong to Heat." Shivering and chattering teeth also imply shaking. This syndrome is mostly caused by the combination of Wind and Heat, but can also result from Cold-Wind invasion or Wind carrying Phlegm-Dampness; thus, treatments vary accordingly. (Clinically, this syndrome is often seen concurrently in Shanghan [Cold Damage], febrile diseases, and dysentery, mostly due to extreme Heat, though deficiency patterns also occur. Back trembling and shaking are mild with flexible limbs without flaccidity, which differs slightly from the heavy, sluggish traction and movement seen in Stroke.)
Xingfu San treats Stroke where the patient can speak, has no facial deviation, but experiences traction and twitching of the hands and feet.

Crush the above ten ingredients into coarse powder, place in a silk bag, soak in 4 dou of wine in a porcelain vessel, seal tightly to prevent gas leakage. Soak for 3-4 nights in spring/summer, 6-7 nights in autumn/winter. Once the wine is ready, filter out the dregs. Take 1 ge daily, ensuring continuous wine effect. If one dose is not exhausted, the disease will surely be cured.
