方剂：仙方活命饮
主治：此方治一切痈疽，不论阴阳疮毒，未成者即消，已成者
即溃，化脓生肌，散瘀消肿，乃疮痈之圣药，诚外科之
首方也，故名之"仙方活命饮"。
组成：穿山甲（炒，三大片） 皂刺（五分）
归尾（一钱五分） 甘草节（一钱）
金银花（二钱） 赤芍药（五分）
乳香（五分） 没药（五分）
花粉（一钱） 防风（七分）
贝母（一钱） 白芷（一钱）
陈皮（一钱五分）
上十三味，好酒煎服，恣饮尽醉。
【方歌】仙方活命饮平剂，疮毒痈疽俱可医，未成即消疼肿去，
已成脓化立生肌。穿山皂刺当归尾，草节金银赤芍宜，
乳没天花防贝芷，陈皮好酒共煎之。
又方：神授卫生汤
主治：此方治痈疽发背，疔疮对口，一切丹瘤恶毒诸证。服之
宣热散风，行瘀活血，消肿解毒，疏通藏府，乃表里两
实之剂，功效甚速。
组成：皂角刺（一钱） 防风（六分）
羌活（八分） 白芷（六分）
穿山甲（炒，六分） 连翘（六分）
归尾（一钱） 乳香（五分）
沈香（六分） 金银花（一钱）
石决明（六分） 天花粉（一钱）
甘草节（一钱） 红花（六分）
大黄（酒拌，炒，二钱）
上十五味，水二碗，煎八分。病在上部，先饮酒一
杯后服药；病在下部，先服药，后饮酒一杯，以行药力
。
如气虚便利者，不用大黄。
【方歌】神授卫生表里剂，痈疽诸疮恶毒良，行瘀活血兼消肿，
表里疏通实剂方。皂刺防风羌芷甲，连翘归尾乳沈香，
金银石决天花粉，甘草红花共大黄。
又方：清热消风散
主治：此方治痈疽疮肿，已成未成之际，无表无里，故外不恶
寒，内不便秘，惟红肿焮痛，高肿有头者，宜服此药以
和解之也。
组成：皂角刺（一钱） 防风（五分）
陈皮（一钱） 连翘（去心，一钱）
花粉（五分） 柴胡（一钱）
黄芩（五分） 川芎（五分）
白芍（五分） 甘草（五分）
当归（五分） 黄耆（一钱）

上药十五味，水二钟，煎八分，食远服。
【方歌】清热消风无表里，痈疽诸毒和解方，皂刺防风陈翘粉，
柴芩芎芍草耆当，银花苍术红花入，妇女还加香附良。
若妇人加香附子，用童便炒。
又方：乳香黄耆散
主治：此方治痈疽发背诸毒，疼痛不可忍者，乃气虚不胜毒之
故也。服之未成即消，已成即溃，不用刀砭，恶肉自脱
。并治打扑损伤，筋骨疼痛之证。
组成：当归（一钱） 白芍（炒，一钱）
人参（一钱） 生黄耆（一钱）
川芎（一钱） 熟地（一钱）
乳香（五分） 没药（五分）
陈皮（一钱） 粟壳（去筋膜，蜜炙，一钱）
甘草节（一钱）
上水二钟，煎八分，量病上下，食前后服之。
【方歌】乳香黄耆治气弱，痈疽诸毒痛难当，未成即消已成溃，
归芍参耆芎地黄，乳没粟陈甘草节，更医打扑筋骨伤。
又方：内疏黄连汤
主治：此方治痈疽阳毒在里，火热发狂发热，二便秘涩，烦躁
呕哕，舌干口渴饮冷等证，六脉沈数有力者，急宜服之
，以除里热。
组成：山栀（一钱） 连翘（一钱）
薄荷（一钱） 甘草（五分）
黄芩（一钱） 黄连（一钱）
桔梗（一钱） 大黄（二钱）
当归（一钱） 白芍（炒，一钱）
木香（一钱） 槟榔（一钱）
上水二茶钟，煎八分，食前服，加蜜二匙亦可。
【方歌】内疏黄连泻里热，痈疮毒火阳盛狂，肿硬发热二便秘，
烦躁干呕渴饮凉，栀翘薄草芩连桔，大黄归芍木槟榔。
又方：回阳三建汤
主治：此方治痈疽发背初起，不疼不肿，不红不热，坚如顽石
，硬若牛皮，体倦身凉，脉息迟细，色似土朱，粟顶多
孔，孔孔流血，根脚平散，软陷无脓，皮不作腐，头温
足凉者，并急服之。
组成：人参（一钱） 附子（一钱）
当归（一钱） 川芎（一钱）
甘草（五分） 茯苓（一钱）
生黄耆（一钱） 枸杞（一钱）
红花（五分） 紫草（五分）
独活（五分） 陈皮（一钱）
苍术（炒，五分） 厚朴（炒，五分）
木香（五分） 山萸肉（一钱）
上十六味，加煨姜三片，皂角树根上白皮二钱，水
二碗，煎八分，入酒一杯，随病上下，食前后服之。用
棉帛覆盖疮上，常令温暖，不得大开疮孔，走泄元气为
要。
【方歌】回阳三建治阴疸，体倦身凉脉细迟，不肿不疼不红热，
坚如顽石硬如皮，根平软陷无脓腐，参附归芎草茯耆，
枸杞红花与紫草，独活苍朴木山萸。
又方：竹叶黄耆汤
主治：此方治痈疽发背，诸般疔毒，表里不实，热甚口中干大
渴者，服之生津止渴。
组成：人参（八分） 生黄耆（八分）
石膏（〔火段〕八分） 半夏（制，八分）
麦冬（八分） 生地（二钱）
白芍（八分） 甘草（八分）
川芎（八分） 当归（八分）
竹叶（十片） 黄芩（八分）
上十二味，水二钟，姜三片，灯心二十根，煎八分
，食远温服。
【方歌】竹叶黄耆口干渴，清热补正助生津，参耆膏夏麦冬地，
芍草芎归竹叶芩。
又方：内消散
主治：此方治痈疽发背，对口疔疮，乳痈，无名肿毒，一切恶
疮。能令痈疽内消，使毒内化，尿色赤污，从小便而出
。势大者，虽不全消，亦可转重为轻，移深居浅。
组成：知母（一钱） 贝母（一钱）
花粉（一钱） 乳香（一钱）
半夏（制，一钱） 白芨（一钱）
穿山甲（一钱） 皂刺（一钱）
右九味，水酒各一碗，煎八分，随病上下，食前后
服之。留药渣捣烂，加秋芙蓉叶一两，研为细末；再加
白蜜五匙，用渣调敷疮上，一宿即消，重者再用一服。
【方歌】内消散用化诸毒，毒化从尿色变行，知贝天花乳夏芨，
穿山角刺共金银。药渣捣和芙蓉叶，白蜜调敷毒即平。
帮助：以上诸方，治痈疽七日以前，疮势未成，形体壮实，而
表里之证相和者宜服，病退即止。如过七日以后，形势
已成，则宜托里消毒等汤，使毒现于外，以速其脓。若
仍用前散下之药，恐伤元气，致生变证也。
又方：内固清心散
主治：此方治痈疽发背，对口疔疮，热甚焮痛，烦躁饮冷。其
人内弱服之，预防毒气内攻于心也。
组成：菉豆粉（二两） 人参（二钱）
冰片（一钱） 雄黄（二钱）
辰砂（二钱） 白豆蔻（二钱）
元明粉（二钱） 茯苓（二钱）
甘草（二钱） 乳香（二钱）
上十味为细末，每服一钱五分。蜜汤调下，不拘时
服。
【方歌】内固清心防毒攻，内弱毒气入心中，焮痛热甚兼饮冷，
豆粉人参冰片雄，辰砂白蔻元明粉，茯苓甘草乳香同。
又方：琥珀蜡矾丸
主治：此方治痈疽发背，疮形已成，而脓未成之际，其人即不
虚弱，恐毒气不能外出，致攻于里。预服此丸，护膜护
心，亦且活血解毒。
组成：黄蜡（一两） 白矾（一钱二分）
雄黄（一钱二分） 珀琥（另研极细，一钱）
朱砂（研细，一钱） 白蜜（二钱）
上上四味，先研细末，另将蜡、蜜入铜杓内溶化，
离火片时，候蜡四边稍凝，方将药味入内，搅匀共成一
块，将药火上微烘，急作小丸，如菉豆大，朱砂为衣，
磁罐收贮。每服二、三十丸，食后白汤送下。毒甚者，
早晚服，其功最速。
【方歌】珀琥蜡矾治痈毒，未出脓时平剂佳，预服护膜能解毒，
蜡椅雄珀蜜朱砂。
又方：护心散
主治：此方治疮毒内攻，口干烦躁，恶心呕吐者，服此药护心
解毒也。
组成：菉豆粉（一两） 乳香（净末，三钱）
朱砂（一钱） 甘草（一钱）
上四味，研细末，每服二钱，白滚汤调服，早晚二
次。
【方歌】护心散治毒内攻，烦躁口干呕逆冲，豆粉乳香朱共草，
二钱调下有神功。
又方：透脓散
主治：此方治痈疽诸毒，内已脓成，不穿破者，服之即溃破毒
出。
组成：生黄耆（四钱） 穿山甲（一钱）
川芎（三钱） 当归（二钱）
皂角刺（一钱五分）
上五味，水三钟，煎一钟。疮在上，先饮酒一杯，
后服药；疮在下，先服药，后饮酒一杯。
【方歌】透脓散治脓已成，不能溃破剂之平，用此可代针泻毒，
角刺归耆山甲芎。
又方：托里消毒散
主治：此方治痈疽已成，内溃迟滞者，因血气不足，不能助其
腐化也。宜服此药托之，令其速溃，则腐肉易脱，而新
肉自生矣。
组成：皂角刺（五分） 银花（一钱）
甘草（五分） 桔梗（五分）
白芷（五分） 川芎（一钱）
生黄耆（一钱） 当归（一钱）
白芍（一钱） 白术（一钱）
人参（一钱） 茯苓（一钱）
上十二味，水二钟，煎八分，食远服。
【方歌】托里消毒助气血，补正脱腐肌易生，皂角银花甘桔芷，
芎耆归芍术参苓。
又方：神功内托散
主治：此方治痈疽、脑项诸发等疮，日久不肿不高，不能腐溃
，脉细身凉。宜服此温补托裹之剂，以助气血也。
组成：人参（一钱五分） 附子（制，一钱）
川芎（一钱） 归身（二钱）
黄耆（一钱） 白术（土炒，一钱五分）
白芍（炒，一钱） 木香（研，五分）
穿山甲（炒，八分） 甘草（炙，五分）
陈皮（一钱） 白茯苓（一钱）
上十二味，煨姜三片，大枣二枚，水二钟，煎八分
，食远服。
【方歌】神功内托阴毒证，不肿不高不溃疼，参附芎归耆术芍，
木香山甲草陈苓。
又方：复元通气散
主治：此方治乳痈，腹痈，便毒，耳痛，耳聋等证，皆由毒气
滞塞不通故耳，服之则气通毒散。
组成：青皮（四两） 陈皮（四两）
栝蒌仁（二两） 穿山甲（二两）
金银花（一两） 连翘（一两）
甘草（半生半炙，二两）
上七味研末，每服二钱，黄酒调下。
【方歌】复元通气乳腹痈，便毒兼治耳痛聋，青陈蒌甲银翘草，
一服能教毒气通。
又方：双解贵金丸
主治：此方治背疽诸毒初起，木闷坚硬，便秘，脉沈实者，悉
效。随证加药，服法列后。
组成：生大黄（一斤） 白芷（十两）
上二味为末，水丸。每服三、五钱，五更时用连须
葱大者三根，黄酒一碗，煮葱烂，取酒送药。服毕盖卧
出汗，过三、二时，俟大便行一、二次立效。
按语：此宣通攻利之剂也。济之以葱酒，力能发汗，故云双解
。弱者随用中剂，行后以四君子汤补之。老人虚人，每
服一钱，用人参加生姜煎汤送下，过一时，再一服。得
睡，上半身得汗则已。
【方歌】双解贵金治诸毒，肿疡初起木硬坚，大黄白芷为丸服，
葱酒煎送汗下痊。
又方：黍米寸金丹
主治：此方乃异人所传，常有异中急证，忽然卒倒者，撬开牙
关，研灌三丸，其人即活。又能活发背痈疽，遍身壅肿
，附骨痈疽等证也。凡初起憎寒壮热，四肢倦怠，沈重
者，不分表里、老幼、轻重，并宜服之。
组成：乳香 没药（各一钱）
狗胆（干者，一个） 鲤鱼胆（阴干，三个）
硵砂（二钱） 蟾酥（二钱）
狗宝（一钱） 麝香（五分）
白丁香（四十九个） 蜈蚣（酥炙，全者七条）
黄蜡（三钱） 乌金石（一钱）
头胎男乳（一合） 轻粉（一钱）
雄黄（一钱）
水银（炼粉霜白色者，三钱）
上十六味为细末，除黄蜡、乳汁二味，熬成膏子，
同药和丸，如菉豆大。小儿用一丸，大人三丸，重者五
丸。冷病用葱汤，热病用新汲水送下。衣被密盖，勿令
透风，汗出为度，诸病如失。
【方歌】黍米寸金奇效方，痈疽发背服之良。乳香没药狗鲤胆，
蟾硵宝麝白丁香，蜈蚣黄蜡乌金石，男乳轻雄共粉霜。
又方：麦灵丹
主治：此丹能治痈疽恶毒，无名诸疡及疔疮回里，令人烦闷神
昏。或妇人初发乳证，小儿痘疹余毒，或腰腿暴痛等证
。
组成：鲜蟾酥（二钱）
活蛛蜘（黑色大者佳，二十一个）
定心草（即两头尖，鼠粪，一钱）
飞罗面（六两）
上四味，共研一处，用菊花熬成稀膏，和好捻为麦
子形，如麦子大。每服七丸，重、大者九丸，小儿轻证
五丸。在上俱用滚白水服，下用淡黄酒送服。每一料加
麦子一合，收磁罐内。
【方歌】麦灵丹治疔毒疽，鲜蟾酥与活蜘蛛，定心草共飞罗面，
黄菊熬膏相合宜。
又方：保安万灵丹
主治：此方治痈疽疔毒，对口发颐，风寒湿痹，湿痰流注，附
骨阴疽，鹤膝风，及左瘫右痪，口眼歪斜，半身不遂，
血气凝滞，遍身走痛，步履艰辛，偏坠疝气，偏正头痛
，破风牙关紧闭，截解风寒，无不应效。
组成：茅山苍术（八两） 麻黄
羌活 荆芥
防风 细辛
【方剂】仙方活命饮
主治：此方用于治疗各种痈疽，无论阴阳疮毒，未成脓的立即消散，已成脓的立即溃破，化脓生肌，散瘀消肿，是治疗疮疡的圣药，确实是外科的第一方，所以命名为“仙方活命饮”。
组成：穿山甲（炒制，三大片） 皂角刺（五分）
当归尾（一钱五分） 甘草节（一钱）
金银花（二钱） 赤芍药（五分）
乳香（五分） 没药（五分）
天花粉（一钱） 防风（七分）

乳香、没药、天花粉、防风、贝母、白芷，陈皮和好酒共同煎煮。
又一方：神授卫生汤
主治：此方治疗痈疽发背，疔疮对口，一切丹瘤恶毒等各种证候。服用后宣散热邪，疏散风邪，行血化瘀，活血通络，消肿解毒，疏通脏腑，是表里双补的方剂，功效非常迅速。
组成：皂角刺（一钱） 防风（六分）
羌活（八分） 白芷（六分）
穿山甲（炒制，六分） 连翘（六分）
当归尾（一钱） 乳香（五分）
沉香（六分） 金银花（一钱）
石决明（六分） 天花粉（一钱）
甘草节（一钱） 红花（六分）
大黄（用酒拌，炒制，二钱）
以上十五味药，用水两碗，煎至八分。病在上部，先喝一杯酒再服药；病在下部，先服药，再喝一杯酒，以推动药力运行。
如果气虚且大便通畅者，不用大黄。
【方歌】神授卫生汤是表里双补之剂，对痈疽各种疮毒疗效好，行血化瘀兼能消肿，
是疏通表里的实症方剂。皂角刺、防风、羌活、白芷、穿山甲，连翘、当归尾、乳香、沉香，
金银花、石决明、天花粉、甘草、红花共加大黄。
又一方：清热消风散
主治：此方治疗痈疽疮肿，处于已成或未成的阶段，没有表证也没有里证，所以体表不恶寒，体内不便秘，只是红肿灼痛，高肿有头者，适合服用此药来和解。
组成：皂角刺（一钱） 防风（五分）
陈皮（一钱） 连翘（去心，一钱）
天花粉（五分） 柴胡（一钱）
黄芩（五分） 川芎（五分）
白芍（五分） 甘草（五分）

以上十五味药，用水两钟，煎至八分，饭后服用。
【方歌】清热消风散无表里之分，是痈疽诸毒的和解方，皂角刺、防风、陈皮、连翘、花粉，
柴胡、黄芩、川芎、白芍、甘草、黄芪、当归，金银花、苍术、红花加入，妇女还加香附子效果好。
若妇人加香附子，用童子尿炒制。
又一方：乳香黄芪散
主治：此方治疗痈疽发背各种毒邪，疼痛难以忍受，这是气虚不能耐受毒邪的缘故。服用后未成脓即消散，已成脓即溃破，不用刀针砭石，坏肉自然脱落。并治疗跌打损伤，筋骨疼痛的证候。
组成：当归（一钱） 白芍（炒制，一钱）
人参（一钱） 生黄芪（一钱）
川芎（一钱） 熟地黄（一钱）
乳香（五分） 没药（五分）
陈皮（一钱） 罂粟壳（去筋膜，蜜炙，一钱）
甘草节（一钱）
以上用水两钟，煎至八分，根据病位上下，饭前或饭后服用。
【方歌】乳香黄芪治疗气弱，痈疽诸毒疼痛难忍，未成脓即消散已成脓即溃破，
当归、白芍、人参、黄芪、川芎、熟地黄，乳香、没药、罂粟壳、陈皮、甘草节，更能医治跌打筋骨伤。
又一方：内疏黄连汤
主治：此方治疗痈疽阳毒在里，火热导致发狂发热，大小便涩滞不通，烦躁呕逆，舌干口渴喜冷饮等证候，六脉沉数有力者，急需服用，以清除里热。
组成：山栀（一钱） 连翘（一钱）
薄荷（一钱） 甘草（五分）
黄芩（一钱） 黄连（一钱）
桔梗（一钱） 大黄（二钱）
当归（一钱） 白芍（炒制，一钱）
木香（一钱） 槟榔（一钱）
以上用水两茶钟，煎至八分，饭前服用，加蜂蜜两匙也可以。
【方歌】内疏黄连汤泻除里热，痈疮毒火阳盛发狂，肿胀坚硬发热大小便秘，
烦躁干呕渴饮凉水，山栀、连翘、薄荷、甘草、黄芩、黄连、桔梗，大黄、当归、白芍、木香、槟榔。
又一方：回阳三建汤
主治：此方治疗痈疽发背初起，不疼不肿，不红不热，坚硬如顽石，硬如牛皮，身体疲倦身凉，脉搏迟细，肤色似土朱色，粟粒状顶端多孔，孔孔流血，根脚平散，软陷无脓，皮肤不腐烂，头部温足部凉者，并急需服用。
组成：人参（一钱） 附子（一钱）
当归（一钱） 川芎（一钱）
甘草（五分） 茯苓（一钱）
生黄芪（一钱） 枸杞（一钱）
红花（五分） 紫草（五分）
独活（五分） 陈皮（一钱）
苍术（炒制，五分） 厚朴（炒制，五分）
木香（五分） 山茱萸肉（一钱）
以上十六味药，加煨姜三片，皂角树根上的白皮二钱，水两碗，煎至八分，加入酒一杯，根据病位上下，饭前或饭后服用。用棉帛覆盖疮上，常令温暖，不得大开疮口，防止元气泄脱为关键。
【方歌】回阳三建汤治疗阴疽，身体疲倦身凉脉细迟，不肿不疼不红不热，

主治：此方治疗痈疽发背，各种疔毒，表里都不实，热甚口中干燥大渴者，服用后生津止渴。

麦冬（八分） 生地黄（二钱）
白芍（八分） 甘草（八分）

以上十二味药，用水两钟，生姜三片，灯心草二十根，煎至八分，饭后温服。
【方歌】竹叶黄芪汤治口干渴，清热补正助生津，人参、黄芪、石膏、半夏、麦冬、地黄，
白芍、甘草、川芎、当归、竹叶、黄芩。
又一方：内消散
主治：此方治疗痈疽发背，对口疔疮，乳痈，无名肿毒，各种恶疮。能使痈疽在内消散，使毒邪在内化解，尿液颜色赤浊，从小便排出。势重者，虽不能完全消散，也可转重为轻，移深居浅。
组成：知母（一钱） 贝母（一钱）
天花粉（一钱） 乳香（一钱）
半夏（制，一钱） 白及（一钱）
穿山甲（一钱） 皂角刺（一钱）
以上九味药，水和酒各一碗，煎至八分，根据病位上下，饭前或饭后服用。留下药渣捣烂，加秋芙蓉叶一两，研为细末；再加白蜜五匙，用药渣调敷在疮上，一夜即可消散，重者再用一服。
【方歌】内消散用于化解各种毒邪，毒邪化解从尿液颜色变化而行，知母、贝母、天花粉、乳香、半夏、白及，
穿山甲、皂角刺共加大黄（注：原文方歌误作金银，实际组成无金银，此处依原文方歌翻译，但需注意原方组成无金银）。药渣捣和芙蓉叶，白蜜调敷毒邪即平。
帮助：以上各方，治疗痈疽七日以前，疮势未成，形体壮实，而表里之证相和者宜服，病退即止。如过七日以后，形势已成，则宜用托里消毒等汤，使毒邪现于外，以加速化脓。若仍用前面的消散药物，恐怕损伤元气，导致产生变证。
又一方：内固清心散
主治：此方治疗痈疽发背，对口疔疮，热甚红肿疼痛，烦躁喜冷饮。其人内部虚弱服用此药，预防毒气内攻于心。
组成：绿豆粉（二两） 人参（二钱）
冰片（一钱） 雄黄（二钱）
辰砂（二钱） 白豆蔻（二钱）
元明粉（二钱） 茯苓（二钱）
甘草（二钱） 乳香（二钱）
以上十味药研为细末，每次服用一钱五分。用蜜汤调下，不拘时间服用。
【方歌】内固清心散预防毒气内攻，内部虚弱毒气入心中，红肿疼痛热甚兼喜冷饮，
绿豆粉、人参、冰片、雄黄，辰砂、白豆蔻、元明粉，茯苓、甘草、乳香同用。
又一方：琥珀蜡矾丸
主治：此方治疗痈疽发背，疮形已成，而脓未成的时候，其人即使不虚弱，也担心毒气不能外出，导致攻入体内。预先服用此丸，保护膜和保护心脏，也能活血解毒。
组成：黄蜡（一两） 白矾（一钱二分）
雄黄（一钱二分） 琥珀（另研极细，一钱）
朱砂（研细，一钱） 白蜜（二钱）
以上四味药，先研为细末，另外将蜡、蜜放入铜勺内溶化，离火片刻，待蜡四边稍凝固，才将药味放入，搅匀共成一块，将药在火上微烘，急做小丸，如绿豆大，朱砂为衣，磁罐收贮。每次服用二三十丸，饭后白开水送下。毒重者，早晚服用，其功效最快。
【方歌】琥珀蜡矾丸治疗痈毒，未出脓时平和之剂佳，预先服用保护膜能解毒，
黄蜡、白矾、雄黄、琥珀、蜜、朱砂。
又一方：护心散
主治：此方治疗疮毒内攻，口干烦躁，恶心呕吐者，服用此药保护心脏解毒。
组成：绿豆粉（一两） 乳香（净末，三钱）
朱砂（一钱） 甘草（一钱）
以上四味药，研为细末，每次服用二钱，白开水调服，早晚各一次。

又一方：透脓散
主治：此方治疗痈疽诸毒，内部已经成脓，不穿破者，服用后即溃破毒出。
组成：生黄芪（四钱） 穿山甲（一钱）
川芎（三钱） 当归（二钱）
皂角刺（一钱五分）
以上五味药，用水三钟，煎成一钟。疮在上部，先喝一杯酒，后服药；疮在下部，先服药，后喝一杯酒。
【方歌】透脓散治疗脓已成，不能溃破的平和之剂，用此可代替针具泻毒，
皂角刺、当归、黄芪、穿山甲、川芎。
又一方：托里消毒散
主治：此方治疗痈疽已成，内部溃破迟缓者，因血气不足，不能帮助腐化。宜服用此药托举，使其快速溃破，则腐肉易脱，而新肉自然生长。
组成：皂角刺（五分） 金银花（一钱）
甘草（五分） 桔梗（五分）
白芷（五分） 川芎（一钱）
生黄芪（一钱） 当归（一钱）
白芍（一钱） 白术（一钱）
人参（一钱） 茯苓（一钱）
以上十二味药，用水两钟，煎至八分，饭后服用。
【方歌】托里消毒散辅助气血，补正气脱腐肉肌肉易生，皂角刺、金银花、甘草、桔梗、白芷，
川芎、黄芪、当归、白芍、白术、人参、茯苓。
又一方：神功内托散
主治：此方治疗痈疽、脑项各种发等疮，日久不肿不高，不能腐溃，脉细身凉。宜服用此温补托裹之剂，以辅助气血。
组成：人参（一钱五分） 附子（制，一钱）
川芎（一钱） 当归身（二钱）
黄芪（一钱） 白术（土炒，一钱五分）
白芍（炒，一钱） 木香（研，五分）
穿山甲（炒，八分） 甘草（炙，五分）
陈皮（一钱） 白茯苓（一钱）
以上十二味药，煨姜三片，大枣二枚，水两钟，煎至八分，饭后服用。
【方歌】神功内托散治疗阴毒证，不肿不高不溃疼痛，人参、附子、川芎、当归、黄芪、白术、白芍，
木香、穿山甲、甘草、陈皮、茯苓。
又一方：复元通气散
主治：此方治疗乳痈，腹痈，便毒，耳痛，耳聋等证，都是由毒气滞塞不通的缘故，服用后则气通毒散。
组成：青皮（四两） 陈皮（四两）
瓜蒌仁（二两） 穿山甲（二两）
金银花（一两） 连翘（一两）
甘草（半生半炙，二两）
以上七味药研末，每次服用二钱，黄酒调下。
【方歌】复元通气散治疗乳痈腹痈，便毒兼治耳痛聋，青皮、陈皮、瓜蒌仁、穿山甲、金银花、连翘、甘草，
一服能教毒气通。
又一方：双解贵金丸
主治：此方治疗背疽诸毒初起，麻木闷硬，便秘，脉沉实者，都有效。随证加药，服法列在后面。
组成：生大黄（一斤） 白芷（十两）
以上两味药为末，水泛为丸。每次服用三、五钱，五更时用连须葱大者三根，黄酒一碗，煮葱烂，取酒送药。服毕盖卧出汗，过三、二个时辰，等大便利下一、二次立刻见效。
按语：这是宣通攻利之剂。辅以葱酒，力量能发汗，所以叫双解。体弱者随用中等剂量，排便后用四君子汤补之。老人虚人，每次服用一钱，用人参加生姜煎汤送下，过一个时辰，再服一次。得睡，上半身出汗即可。
【方歌】双解贵金丸治疗各种毒邪，肿疡初起麻木坚硬，大黄白芷为丸服用，
葱酒煎送汗下痊愈。
又一方：黍米寸金丹
主治：此方是异人所传，常有意外急证，忽然卒倒者，撬开牙关，研碎灌服三丸，其人即活。又能治愈发背痈疽，遍身壅肿，附骨痈疽等证。凡初起憎寒壮热，四肢倦怠，沉重者，不分表里、老幼、轻重，都宜服用。
组成：乳香 没药（各一钱）
狗胆（干者，一个） 鲤鱼胆（阴干，三个）
硵砂（二钱） 蟾酥（二钱）
狗宝（一钱） 麝香（五分）
白丁香（四十九个） 蜈蚣（酥炙，全者七条）
黄蜡（三钱） 乌金石（一钱）
头胎男乳（一合） 轻粉（一钱）
雄黄（一钱）
水银（炼粉霜白色者，三钱）
以上十六味药为细末，除黄蜡、乳汁两味，熬成膏子，同药和丸，如绿豆大。小儿用一丸，大人三丸，重者五丸。冷病用葱汤，热病用新汲水送下。衣被密盖，勿令透风，出汗为度，诸病如失。
【方歌】黍米寸金丹奇效方，痈疽发背服用疗效好。乳香、没药、狗胆、鲤鱼胆，
蟾酥、硵砂、狗宝、麝香、白丁香，蜈蚣、黄蜡、乌金石，男乳、轻粉、雄黄共粉霜。
又一方：麦灵丹
主治：此丹能治疗痈疽恶毒，无名各种疡及疔疮回里，令人烦闷神昏。或妇人初发乳证，小儿痘疹余毒，或腰腿暴痛等证。
组成：鲜蟾酥（二钱）
活蜘蛛（黑色大者佳，二十一个）
定心草（即两头尖，鼠粪，一钱）
飞罗面（六两）
以上四味药，共研一处，用菊花熬成稀膏，和好捻为麦子形，如麦子大。每次服用七丸，重、大者九丸，小儿轻证五丸。在上部俱用滚白水服，下部用淡黄酒送服。每一料加麦子一合，收磁罐内。
【方歌】麦灵丹治疗疔毒疽，鲜蟾酥与活蜘蛛，定心草共飞罗面，
黄菊熬膏相合适宜。
又一方：保安万灵丹
主治：此方治疗痈疽疔毒，对口发颐，风寒湿痹，湿痰流注，附骨阴疽，鹤膝风，及左瘫右痪，口眼歪斜，半身不遂，血气凝滞，遍身走痛，步履艰辛，偏坠疝气，偏正头痛，破风牙关紧闭，截解风寒，无不应当有效。
组成：茅山苍术（八两） 麻黄
羌活 荆芥
防风 细辛
[Formula] Xianfang Huoming Yin (Immortal Formula for Preserving Life Decoction)
Indications: This formula is used to treat all types of carbuncles and sores, regardless of whether the sores are yin or yang. If pus has not formed, it will dissipate immediately; if pus has formed, it will ulcerate immediately. It promotes suppuration and tissue regeneration, disperses blood stasis, and reduces swelling. It is a sacred medicine for treating sores and ulcers, truly the premier formula in surgery, hence named "Xianfang Huoming Yin" (Immortal Formula for Preserving Life Decoction).
Composition: Pangolin Scales (Manis Pentadactyla, stir-fried, three large slices), Gleditsiae Spina (Gleditsia sinensis thorn, 5 fen), Angelicae Sinensis Radix Caudex (Dangguiwei, 1.5 qian), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Node (Gancao jie, 1 qian), Lonicerae Japonicae Flos (Jinyinhua, 2 qian), Paeoniae Rubra Radix (Chishao, 5 fen), Boswelliae Resina (Ruxiang, 5 fen), Myrrhae Resina (Moyao, 5 fen), Trichosanthis Radix (Huafen, 1 qian), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng, 7 fen), Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus (Beimu, 1 qian), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Baizhi, 1 qian), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi, 1.5 qian).
Take the above thirteen ingredients, decoct with good wine, and drink until intoxicated.
[Verse] Xianfang Huoming Yin is a mild formula, suitable for treating carbuncles, sores, and toxic swellings. If pus has not formed, pain and swelling dissipate; if pus has formed, it ulcerates and regenerates tissue quickly. Pangolin scales, Gleditsiae spina, and Angelicae sinensis caudex; Glycyrrhizae node, Lonicera flower, and Paeonia rubra are appropriate. Boswellia, myrrh, Trichosanthes root, Saposhnikovia, Fritillaria, and Angelica dahurica, decocted together with Chenpi and good wine.
Another Formula: Shenshou Weisheng Tang (Divine Granting Health Preservation Decoction)
Indications: This formula treats carbuncles on the back, Fengyang sores (sores at the back of the head), Danliu (erysipelas-like tumors), and various other malignant toxic conditions. After ingestion, it clears heat, dispels wind, moves blood to resolve stasis, invigorates blood circulation, reduces swelling, detoxifies, and unblocks the zang-fu organs. It is a formula that tonifies both exterior and interior, with rapid efficacy.
Composition: Gleditsiae Spina (5 fen), Saposhnikoviae Radix (6 fen), Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo, 8 fen), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (6 fen), Pangolin Scales (Manis pentadactyla, stir-fried, 6 fen), Forsythiae Fructus (Lianqiao, 6 fen), Angelicae Sinensis Radix Caudex (1 qian), Boswelliae Resina (5 fen), Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum (Chenxiang, 6 fen), Lonicerae Japonicae Flos (1 qian), Margarita Concha (Shijueming, 6 fen), Trichosanthis Radix (1 qian), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Node (1 qian), Carthami Flos (Honghua, 6 fen), Rheum Palmatum Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang, mixed with wine, stir-fried, 2 qian).
Decoct the above fifteen ingredients in two bowls of water until reduced to eight-tenths. For diseases in the upper body, drink one cup of wine before taking the medicine; for diseases in the lower body, take the medicine first, then drink one cup of wine to promote the action of the drugs.
If there is qi deficiency and normal bowel movements, do not use Dahuang.
[Verse] Shenshou Weisheng Tang is a formula for both exterior and interior, excellent for carbuncles, sores, and malignant toxins. It moves blood, resolves stasis, and reduces swelling; it is a solidifying formula that unblocks the exterior and interior. Gleditsiae spina, Saposhnikovia, Notopterygium, Angelica dahurica, and Pangolin scales; Forsythia, Angelica sinensis caudex, Boswellia, and Aquilaria wood. Lonicera, Margarita concha, Trichosanthes root, Glycyrrhiza, Carthamus, and Rheum palmatum.
Another Formula: Qingre Xiaofeng San (Clear Heat and Dispel Wind Powder)
Indications: This formula treats carbuncles and swollen sores during the stage where they are either forming or formed, without exterior or interior syndromes. Thus, there is no aversion to cold on the exterior and no constipation on the interior; only redness, swelling, burning pain, high swelling with a head are present. It is suitable to take this medicine to harmonize the condition.
Composition: Gleditsiae Spina (1 qian), Saposhnikoviae Radix (5 fen), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (1 qian), Forsythiae Fructus (core removed, 1 qian), Trichosanthis Radix (5 fen), Bupleuri Radix (Chaihu, 1 qian), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin, 5 fen), Chuanxiong Rhizome (Chuanxiong, 5 fen), Paeoniae Radix Alba (Baishao, 5 fen), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, 5 fen), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui, 5 fen), Astragali Membranacei Radix (Huangqi, 1 qian), Lonicerae Japonicae Flos (5 fen), Atractylodis Rhizoma (Cangzhu, stir-fried, 1 qian), Carthami Flos (1 qian).
Decoct the above fifteen ingredients in two zhong of water until reduced to eight-tenths. Take after meals.
[Verse] Qingre Xiaofeng San addresses conditions without exterior or interior differentiation, a harmonizing formula for carbuncles and various toxins. Gleditsiae spina, Saposhnikovia, Citrus reticulata, Forsythia, and Trichosanthes root; Bupleurum, Scutellaria, Chuanxiong, Paeonia alba, Glycyrrhiza, Astragalus, and Angelica sinensis. Lonicera, Atractylodes, and Carthamus are added; for women, Cyperi Rhizome (Xiangfu) is also beneficial.
If used for women, add Cyperi Rhizome, stir-fried with urine from an uncircumcised boy.
Another Formula: Ruxiang Huangqi San (Boswellia and Astragalus Powder)
Indications: This formula treats carbuncles, back sores, and various toxins causing unbearable pain, due to qi deficiency failing to withstand the toxin. After ingestion, if pus has not formed, it dissipates; if pus has formed, it ulcerates. No knife or stone pricking is needed; necrotic flesh falls off naturally. It also treats injuries from falls and blows, and syndromes of bone and tendon pain.
Composition: Angelicae Sinensis Radix (1 qian), Paeoniae Radix Alba (stir-fried, 1 qian), Ginseng Radix (Renshen, 1 qian), Astragali Membranacei Radix raw (Shenghuangqi, 1 qian), Chuanxiong Rhizome (1 qian), Rehmanniae Radix Preparata (Shudi, 1 qian), Boswelliae Resina (5 fen), Myrrhae Resina (5 fen), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (1 qian), Papaveris Capsula (Yangsuke, remove membrane, honey-fried, 1 qian), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Node (1 qian).
Decoct in two zhong of water until reduced to eight-tenths. Take before or after meals depending on the location of the disease.
[Verse] Ruxiang and Huangqi treat qi weakness; carbuncles and various toxins cause unbearable pain. Unformed dissipates, formed ulcerates. Angelica, Paeonia, Ginseng, Astragalus, Chuanxiong, and Rehmannia. Boswellia, Myrrh, Papaver capsule, Citrus, and Glycyrrhiza node; further treats traumatic bone and tendon injuries.
Another Formula: Neishu Huanglian Tang (Internal Draining Coptis Decoction)
Indications: This formula treats yang-toxin of carbuncles and sores located in the interior, characterized by fever and mania due to fire-heat, difficulty in urination and defecation, irritability, vomiting, dry tongue, thirst, and preference for cold drinks. When the six pulses are deep, rapid, and forceful, it should be taken urgently to clear interior heat.
Composition: Gardeniae Fructus (Shanzhi, 1 qian), Forsythiae Fructus (1 qian), Menthae Haplocalycis Herba (Bohe, 1 qian), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (5 fen), Scutellariae Radix (1 qian), Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian, 1 qian), Platycodonis Radix (Jiegeng, 1 qian), Rheum Palmatum Radix et Rhizoma (2 qian), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (1 qian), Paeoniae Radix Alba (stir-fried, 1 qian), Aucklandiae Radix (Muxiang, 1 qian), Arecae Semen (Binglang, 1 qian).
Decoct in two tea-cups of water until reduced to eight-tenths. Take before meals. Adding two spoons of honey is also acceptable.
[Verse] Neishu Huanglian Tang drains interior heat; carbuncle sores with toxic fire and yang excess cause mania. Swelling, hardness, fever, and constipation; irritability, dry vomiting, and thirst for cool drinks. Gardenia, Forsythia, Mint, Glycyrrhiza, Scutellaria, Coptis, and Platycodon; Rheum, Angelica, Paeonia, Aucklandia, and Areca seed.
Another Formula: Huiyang Sanjian Tang (Restoring Yang Three Establishments Decoction)
Indications: This formula treats the initial stage of carbuncles and back sores where there is no pain, swelling, redness, or heat; the area is hard as stubborn stone or cowhide; the body feels tired and cool; the pulse is slow and fine; the skin color resembles earthy cinnabar; the millet-grain-sized top has multiple pores bleeding from each; the base is flat and scattered, soft and depressed with no pus, the skin does not rot, the head is warm but the feet are cold. These cases require urgent administration.
Composition: Ginseng Radix (1 qian), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata (Fuzi, 1 qian), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (1 qian), Chuanxiong Rhizome (1 qian), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (5 fen), Poria (Fuling, 1 qian), Astragali Membranacei Radix raw (1 qian), Lycii Fructus (Gouqi, 1 qian), Carthami Flos (5 fen), Arnebiae Radix seu Lithospermi Radix (Zicao, 5 fen), Actaeae Radix (Duohuo, 5 fen), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (1 qian), Atractylodis Rhizoma (stir-fried, 5 fen), Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex (Houpo, stir-fried, 5 fen), Aucklandiae Radix (5 fen), Corni Fructus (Shanyurou, 1 qian).
Add three slices of baked ginger and two qian of the white bark from the root of the Gleditsia tree. Decoct in two bowls of water until reduced to eight-tenths. Add one cup of wine. Take before or after meals depending on the location of the disease. Cover the sore with cotton cloth to keep it warm. It is crucial not to open the sore widely to prevent leakage of primordial qi.
[Verse] Huiyang Sanjian Tang treats yin jaundice/carbuncles; body fatigue, coolness, fine and slow pulse. No swelling, pain, redness, or heat; hard as stone or hide. Flat base, soft depression, no pus or rot. Ginseng, Aconite, Angelica, Chuanxiong, Glycyrrhiza, Poria, Astragalus. Lycium, Carthamus, and Arnebia/Lithospermum; Actaea, Atractylodes, Magnolia bark, Aucklandia, and Cornus.
Another Formula: Zhuye Huangqi Tang (Bamboo Leaf and Astragalus Decoction)
Indications: This formula treats carbuncles, back sores, various Ding toxins, where neither exterior nor interior is solid, with severe heat causing extreme dry mouth and thirst. Ingestion generates fluids and stops thirst.
Composition: Ginseng Radix (8 fen), Astragali Membranacei Radix raw (8 fen), Gypsum Fibrosum (Duan Shi, calcined, 8 fen), Pinelliae Tuber (Zhi Banxia, processed, 8 fen), Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong, 8 fen), Rehmanniae Radix (Shengdi, 2 qian), Paeoniae Radix Alba (8 fen), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (8 fen), Chuanxiong Rhizome (8 fen), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (8 fen), Bambusae Folium (Zhuye, 10 leaves), Scutellariae Radix (8 fen).
Decoct the above twelve ingredients with three slices of ginger and twenty roots of Juncus effusus (dengxincao) in two zhong of water until reduced to eight-tenths. Take warm after meals.
[Verse] Zhuye Huangqi Tang treats dry mouth and thirst; clears heat, tonifies righteousness, aids fluid generation. Ginseng, Astragalus, Gypsum, Pinellia, Ophiopogon, and Rehmannia. Paeonia, Glycyrrhiza, Chuanxiong, Angelica, Bamboo leaf, and Scutellaria.
Another Formula: Neixiao San (Internal Dissolution Powder)
Indications: This formula treats carbuncles, back sores, Fengyang Ding sores, breast abscesses, unnamed swellings and toxins, and all kinds of malignant sores. It causes internal dissolution of carbuncles and internal transformation of toxins, resulting in dark and turbid urine discharged via the small intestine. For severe cases, although complete dissolution may not occur, severity can be reduced, and depth can be moved to superficiality.
Composition: Anemarrhenae Rhizoma (Zhimu, 1 qian), Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus (1 qian), Trichosanthis Radix (1 qian), Boswelliae Resina (1 qian), Pinelliae Tuber (processed, 1 qian), Bletillae Rhizoma (Baiji, 1 qian), Pangolin Scales (1 qian), Gleditsiae Spina (1 qian).
Take the above nine ingredients, decoct in one bowl of water and one bowl of wine until reduced to eight-tenths. Take before or after meals depending on the location of the disease. Reserve the dregs, mash them, add one liang of Hibiscus mutabilis leaf (Qiufurongye), grind into fine powder. Add five spoons of white honey. Use the dregs to mix and apply to the sore; it dissolves overnight. For severe cases, take another dose.
[Verse] Neixiao San dissolves various toxins; toxin transformation changes urine color. Anemarrhena, Fritillaria, Trichosanthes, Boswellia, Pinellia, and Bletilla. Pangolin scales and Gleditsiae spina. Mash dregs with Hibiscus leaf; mix with white honey to soothe toxins.
Help: The above formulas are suitable for treating carbuncles and sores within seven days, when the lesion has not formed, the physique is strong, and exterior and interior syndromes are harmonious. Stop taking when the illness recedes. If more than seven days have passed and the condition has formed, formulas like Tuoli Xiaodu Tang should be used to bring the toxin to the surface to accelerate suppuration. Continuing to use the previous resolving medicines may damage primordial qi and cause complications.
Another Formula: Neigu Qingxin San (Internal Stabilization Clearing Heart Powder)
Indications: This formula treats carbuncles, back sores, Fengyang Ding sores, with severe heat, redness, swelling, pain, irritability, and preference for cold drinks. For individuals with internal weakness, it prevents the toxin from attacking the heart internally.
Composition: Phaseoli Radiati Semen Pulvis (Lv dou fen, 2 liang), Ginseng Radix (2 qian), Borax (Bingpian, 1 qian), Realgar (Xionghuang, 2 qian), Cinnabar (Chensha, 2 qian), Amomi Fructus Rotundus (Baidoukou, 2 qian), Mirabilitum (Yuanmingfen, 2 qian), Poria (2 qian), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (2 qian), Boswelliae Resina (2 qian).
Grind the above ten ingredients into fine powder. Take 1.5 qian per dose. Mix with honey water and take at any time.
[Verse] Neigu Qingxin San prevents toxin attack; internal weakness allows toxin to enter the heart. Redness, swelling, pain, severe heat, and preference for cold drinks. Bean powder, Ginseng, Borax, Realgar. Cinnabar, Amomum, Mirabilitum, Poria, Glycyrrhiza, and Boswellia together.
Another Formula: Pohu Lafan Wan (Amber and Alum Pill)
Indications: This formula treats carbuncles and back sores when the sore shape has formed but pus has not yet formed. Even if the patient is not weak, there is fear that the toxin cannot exit outward and may attack inward. Taking this pill in advance protects the membranes and the heart, and also invigorates blood and detoxifies.
Composition: Beeswax (Huangla, 1 liang), Alumen Bai (Baifan, 1.2 qian), Realgar (1.2 qian), Amber (Pohu, separately ground extremely fine, 1 qian), Cinnabar (ground fine, 1 qian), White Honey (2 qian).
First grind the above four ingredients into fine powder. Separately melt beeswax and honey in a copper spoon. Remove from fire for a moment. When the edges of the wax begin to solidify slightly, add the medicinal powders, stir evenly to form a block. Warm slightly over fire, quickly make into small pills the size of mung beans. Coat with Cinnabar. Store in porcelain jars. Take 20-30 pills per dose after meals with plain water. For severe toxicity, take morning and evening for fastest effect.
[Verse] Pohu Lafan Wan treats carbuncle toxins; a mild formula when pus has not emerged. Taken in advance to protect membranes and detoxify. Beeswax, Alum, Realgar, Amber, Honey, Cinnabar.
Another Formula: Huxin San (Heart Protection Powder)
Indications: This formula treats internal attack of sore toxins, characterized by dry mouth, irritability, nausea, and vomiting. Taking this medicine protects the heart and detoxifies.
Composition: Phaseoli Radiati Semen Pulvis (1 liang), Boswelliae Resina (pure powder, 3 qian), Cinnabar (1 qian), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (1 qian).
Grind the above four ingredients into fine powder. Take 2 qian per dose, mixed with boiling water. Take twice daily, morning and evening.
[Verse] Huxin San treats internal toxin attack; irritability, dry mouth, nausea, and vomiting. Bean powder, Boswellia, Cinnabar, and Glycyrrhiza. Two qian mixed with water yields miraculous results.
Another Formula: Tou Nong San (Pus Penetrating Powder)
Indications: This formula treats carbuncles and various toxins where pus has formed internally but has not penetrated. Ingestion leads to immediate ulceration and discharge of toxin.
Composition: Astragali Membranacei Radix raw (4 qian), Pangolin Scales (1 qian), Chuanxiong Rhizome (3 qian), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (2 qian), Gleditsiae Spina (1.5 qian).
Decoct the above five ingredients in three zhong of water until reduced to one zhong. For sores in the upper body, drink one cup of wine first, then take medicine; for sores in the lower body, take medicine first, then drink one cup of wine.
[Verse] Tou Nong San treats formed pus unable to penetrate; a mild formula. Used here to replace needles for draining toxin. Gleditsiae spina, Angelica, Astragalus, Pangolin scales, Chuanxiong.
Another Formula: Tuoli Xiaodu San (Interior Supporting and Toxin Dispelling Powder)
Indications: This formula treats carbuncles and sores that have formed but ulcerate slowly internally, due to insufficiency of blood and qi preventing putrefaction. Taking this medicine supports the process, allowing rapid ulceration, so necrotic flesh detaches easily and new flesh grows naturally.
Composition: Gleditsiae Spina (5 fen), Lonicerae Japonicae Flos (1 qian), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (5 fen), Platycodonis Radix (5 fen), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (5 fen), Chuanxiong Rhizome (1 qian), Astragali Membranacei Radix raw (1 qian), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (1 qian), Paeoniae Radix Alba (1 qian), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu, 1 qian), Ginseng Radix (1 qian), Poria (1 qian).
Decoct the above twelve ingredients in two zhong of water until reduced to eight-tenths. Take after meals.
[Verse] Tuoli Xiaodu San assists qi and blood; tonifies righteousness, detaches necrosis, facilitates muscle growth. Gleditsiae spina, Lonicera, Glycyrrhiza, Platycodon, Angelica dahurica. Chuanxiong, Astragalus, Angelica, Paeonia, Atractylodes macrocephala, Ginseng, and Poria.
Another Formula: Shengong Neituo San (Divine Merit Internal Support Powder)
Indications: This formula treats carbuncles, sores on the brain and neck, etc., which have been present for a long time without swelling or elevation, unable to putrefy and ulcerate, with fine pulse and cool body. Taking this warming, tonifying, and supporting formula assists qi and blood.
Composition: Ginseng Radix (1.5 qian), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata (processed, 1 qian), Chuanxiong Rhizome (1 qian), Angelicae Sinensis Radix Stamen (Guishen, 2 qian), Astragali Membranacei Radix (1 qian), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (earth-fried, 1.5 qian), Paeoniae Radix Alba (stir-fried, 1 qian), Aucklandiae Radix (ground, 5 fen), Pangolin Scales (stir-fried, 8 fen), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (honey-fried, 5 fen), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (1 qian), Poria (1 qian).
Add three slices of baked ginger and two dates. Decoct in two zhong of water until reduced to eight-tenths. Take after meals.
[Verse] Shengong Neituo San treats yin toxin syndromes; no swelling, no elevation, no ulceration, painful. Ginseng, Aconite, Chuanxiong, Angelica, Astragalus, Atractylodes, Paeonia. Aucklandia, Pangolin scales, Glycyrrhiza, Citrus, and Poria.
Another Formula: Fuyuan Tongqi San (Restoring Origin and Promoting Qi Circulation Powder)
Indications: This formula treats breast abscesses, abdominal abscesses, groin abscesses, ear pain, deafness, etc., all caused by stagnation and obstruction of toxic qi. Ingestion promotes qi circulation and disperses toxins.
Composition: Aurantii Fructus Immaturus (Qingpi, 4 liang), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (4 liang), Trichosanthis Semen (Gualouren, 2 liang), Pangolin Scales (2 liang), Lonicerae Japonicae Flos (1 liang), Forsythiae Fructus (1 liang), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (half raw, half honey-fried, 2 liang).
Grind the above seven ingredients into powder. Take 2 qian per dose, mixed with yellow wine.
[Verse] Fuyuan Tongqi San treats breast and abdominal abscesses; also treats groin abscesses, ear pain, and deafness. Qingpi, Chenpi, Trichosanthes seed, Pangolin scales, Lonicera, Forsythia, Glycyrrhiza. One dose promotes toxin dispersion.
Another Formula: Shuangjie Guijin Wan (Double Resolution Noble Gold Pill)
Indications: This formula treats the initial stage of back carbuncles and various toxins, characterized by numbness, fullness, hardness, constipation, and deep, solid pulses. It is effective for all such cases. Additional herbs may be added according to symptoms; administration methods are listed below.
Composition: Rheum Palmatum Radix et Rhizoma raw (1 jin), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (10 liang).
Grind the above two ingredients into powder and make into water pills. Take 3-5 qian per dose. At dawn (wu geng), use three large green onions with roots, one bowl of yellow wine. Boil the onions until soft, take the wine to deliver the medicine. After taking, cover and lie down to induce sweating. After 3-2 hours, upon having one or two bowel movements, immediate relief occurs.
Commentary: This is a formula for promoting circulation and purging. Assisted by onion and wine, its power induces sweating, hence called "Double Resolution." For weak persons, use a moderate dose; after evacuation, tonify with Sizijunzi Tang. For elderly and deficient persons, take 1 qian per dose, delivered with Ginseng and fresh ginger decoction. After one hour, take another dose. Sleep is desired; sweating from the upper body indicates resolution.
[Verse] Shuangjie Guijin treats various toxins; initial swelling and hardness. Rheum and Angelica dahurica made into pills. Delivered with boiled onion and wine, sweating and purging lead to cure.
Another Formula: Shumi Cunjin Dan (Millet-Inch Gold Pellet)
Indications: This formula was passed down by an extraordinary person. It treats sudden acute emergencies where one collapses suddenly. Pry open the jaw, grind and administer three pellets, and the person revives. It also treats back carbuncles, generalized edema, and deep-seated bone abscesses. For initial stages with aversion to cold and high fever, limb fatigue, and heaviness, regardless of exterior/interior differentiation, age, or severity, it is suitable.
Composition: Boswelliae Resina, Myrrhae Resina (1 qian each), Dog Gallbladder (dried, one), Carp Gallbladder (shade-dried, three), Borax (Qiansha, 2 qian), Chan Su (Toad Venom, 2 qian), Dog Stone (Goubao, 1 qian), Moschus (Shexiang, 5 fen), Streptopelia turtur Excrement (Baidingxiang, 49 pieces), Centipedae Corpus (fried in oil, whole, 7 pieces), Beeswax (3 qian), Wujinshi (1 qian), First-born Male Breast Milk (1 he), Calomelas (Qingfen, 1 qian), Realgar (1 qian), Hydrargyrum (refined to white powder frost, 3 qian).
Grind the above sixteen ingredients into fine powder. Except for beeswax and milk, boil into a paste. Mix with the powder and make into pills the size of mung beans. Children take one pellet, adults three, severe cases five. For cold conditions, deliver with green onion soup; for hot conditions, with fresh well water. Cover tightly with clothing and blankets to avoid drafts. Sweating is the goal; all illnesses will vanish.
[Verse] Shumi Cunjin Dan is a miraculous formula; effective for carbuncles and back sores. Boswellia, Myrrh, Dog and Carp gallbladders. Chan Su, Borax, Dog Stone, Moschus, Baidingxiang. Centipede, Beeswax, Wujinshi. Male milk, Calomelas, Realgar, and Hydrargyrum powder.
Another Formula: Mailing Dan (Wheat Spirit Pellet)
Indications: This pellet treats carbuncles, malignant toxins, unnamed sores, and Ding sores returning inward, causing irritability and coma. It also treats early-stage breast conditions in women, residual toxins from smallpox/rash in children, or sudden waist and leg pain.
Composition: Fresh Chan Su (2 qian), Live Spider (black and large ones are best, 21 pieces), Dingxin Cao (also known as Liangtoujian, rat feces, 1 qian), Fine Wheat Flour (Feiluomian, 6 liang).
Grind the above four ingredients together. Decoct Chrysanthemum morifolium flowers into a thin paste. Mix well and roll into wheat-shaped pellets. Take seven pellets per dose, nine for severe/large cases, five for mild pediatric cases. For upper body conditions, take with boiling water; for lower body, with light yellow wine. Add one he of wheat to each batch, store in porcelain jars.
[Verse] Mailing Dan treats Ding toxins and carbuncles; fresh Chan Su and live spiders. Dingxin Cao and fine wheat flour, combined suitably with Chrysanthemum paste.
Another Formula: Bao'an Wanling Dan (Security and Ten Thousand Spirits Pellet)
Indications: This formula treats carbuncles, Ding toxins, Fengyang and facial sores, wind-cold-damp bi syndrome, damp-phlegm flowing nodules, deep-seated yin carbuncles, crane-knee wind, left hemiplegia, right paralysis, facial deviation, hemiplegia, qi-blood stagnation, wandering body pain, difficult walking, hernia, migraine and regular headaches, wind-stroke with locked jaw, and wind-cold dispersion. It is effective for all these conditions.
Composition: Atractylodis Rhizoma (Maoshan Cangzhu, 8 liang), Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang), Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo), Schizonepetae Spica (Jingjie), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin).
