[Formula Song] The prolapse of the anus in children originates from Lung Qi deficiency; Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang (Tonify the Middle and Augment the Qi Decoction) is the first choice. If swelling, hardness, and pain occur, it indicates accumulated heat; Zang Lian Wan (Intestine-Connected Pill) should be used.
[Annotation] This condition arises from Qi deficiency in children, causing the anus to prolapse externally. It should be treated with Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang (Tonify the Middle and Augment the Qi Decoction) added with Qiang Huo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), Bai Shao (Paeoniae Radix Alba), and Wei Jiang (Prepared Ginger). If there is swelling, hardness, and pain, it indicates damp-heat internally; a formula that clears heat and drains dampness should be used. If Zang Du (Visceral Toxin) occurs, causing the anus to evert, Zang Lian Wan (Intestine-Connected Pill) is the primary treatment. For external treatment, wash the area with a decoction of Wu Bei Zi (Galla Chinensis), Lao Cong Tou (Allii Cepae Bulbus), and Po Xiao (Natrii Sulfas). Apply Kan Gong Ding Zi (Kan Palace Ointment) for swelling; all are effective.
Formulas: Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang (See Ulcer Section); Zang Lian Wan (See Buttock Hemorrhoid Section); Kan Gong Ding Zi (See Swelling/Ulcer Section).
[Formula Song] Anal itching is caused by worm infestation; small white sores will definitely appear on the lower lip. Take Jiu Wei Lu Hui Wan (Nine-Arholtia Pill) internally, and sprinkle Tong Lv (Malachite) and Xiong Huang (Realgar) externally.
[Annotation] This condition presents as anal itching in children, caused by parasitic erosion. Inspect the inner lower lip, where small white sores must appear; or small nodules may form before and behind the ears, resembling a string of beads. Medical texts state: Sores on the lower lip indicate worms eroding the anus; Arholtia Pill should be taken. Externally, grind Xiong Huang (Realgar) and Tong Lv (Malachite) into equal parts of fine powder and apply it to the affected area for immediate effect.
Formula: Lu Hui Wan (Arholtia Pill) (See Dental Gingival Bleeding Section).
[Formula Song] Congenital residual toxin forms in the fetus initially; the body is red without skin, making recovery difficult. Red spots appear on the skin followed by ulceration. Acquired infection can still be cured, but congenital toxin is hard to treat.
[Annotation] This condition involves congenital residual toxin formed in the womb, divided into "Bing Shou" (Inherited/Genetic) and "Ran Shou" (Acquired/Infected) types. In the "Bing Shou" type, the parents suffered from Yang Mei Chuang (Syphilis) before conception; after birth, the infant's whole body is red and skinless, with toxin attacking the nine orifices, leading to ulceration and maceration. This condition is difficult to cure, with less than one survivor out of a hundred. In the "Ran Shou" type, conception occurred first, and the parents contracted Yang Mei Chuang (Syphilis) later; the toxin transmitted to the fetus. After birth, the infant has pitted depressions on the head, red spots appearing on the skin first, followed by ulceration. Severe cases involve toxin attacking the corners of the mouth, eye sockets, ears, nose, anterior yin, and Gu Dao (anus), causing breakdown. Initially, use Ren Zhong Huang (Calculus Humanis) finely powdered (3-5 fen), mixed with a thick decoction of Tu Fu Ling (Smilacis Glabrae Rhizoma), administered 2-3 times daily. For swelling, apply Tai Yi Zi Jin Ding (Taiyi Purple Gold Pill) dissolved in water. For broken skin, apply Mi Zhi Huang Bo (Honey-fried Phellodendri Cortex) powder; if dry, mix with Sesame Oil for application. If the medication proves effective, subsequently administer Er Huang San (Two-Yellow Powder); three or four out of ten patients can be saved. If the toxin spreads throughout the body, with constant crying day and night and refusal to feed, it indicates extreme toxin and faint Qi, which is ultimately untreatable.
Formula: Er Huang San (Two-Yellow Powder).
Composition: Hu Huang Lian (Coptidis Rhizoma) and Shan Ci Ru (Fritillariae Thunbergii Bulbus) (each 2 qian); Gan Cao (Licorice Root, raw, 1.5 qian); Niu Huang (Calculus Bovis) (0.7 fen).
Grind all ingredients into a fine powder. Each dose is 3 fen, taken with honey water.
[Formula Song] Er Huang San (Two-Yellow Powder) treats residual toxin; Hu Lian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Gan Cao (Licorice Root), and Niu Huang (Calculus Bovis) are combined. Shan Ci Gu (Fritillariae Thunbergii Bulbus) is ground into fine powder; each dose is 3 fen taken with honey water.
Another Formula: Tai Yi Zi Jin Ding (Taiyi Purple Gold Pill) (See Chest Splea Abscess Section).
