牛蒡子炒研 大黄 红花 紫花地丁 引加灯心水煎服。

托腮腮边痘成攒，气为毒阻起发难，急用黄连解毒治，板硬紫黯归宗先。

满面俱稀，独两腮之痘攒攒成片者，名曰托腮，
乃正气为毒所阻，难以起发也，
当见点之初，毒势未成，即以黄连解毒汤解之，
如板硬紫黯，以归宗汤攻之。

The Xiao poison of Suokou (Locking Mouth) lies hidden in the Spleen Meridian, appearing singly or doubly at a distance from the lips. Externally apply needle pricking and Yan Zhi Gao (Alkanna Root Ointment); internally administer Xie Huang San to achieve tranquility.
[Note]
A single pimple at one corner of the mouth, larger than other pimples, hard like wood without a base, is named Dan Suokou (Single Locking Mouth).
One pimple at each corner of the mouth is named Shuang Suokou (Double Locking Mouth).
Furthermore, those clustered continuously around the upper and lower sides of the mouth are also named Suokou; this poison obstructs the Spleen.
Upon initial appearance, urgently prick it open with a silver needle, externally apply Yan Zhi Gao, and internally administer Xie Huang San to make the pimples turn red and vibrant, thereby offering hope for survival.
(Yan Zhi Gao) Formula see Meng Kou Syndrome Treatment.
(Xie Huang San / Draining Yellow Powder) Rhinoceros Horn, Coptis Rhizome, Rehmannia Root, Tangerine Peel, Akebia Stem, Gypsum, Moutan Bark, Schizonepeta Spike, Niu Bang Zi (Burdock Fruit, stir-fried and ground), Rhubarb, Safflower, Viola Yedoensis. Add Jixin (Centipeda Herb) as a guide, decoct in water and take orally.

Xie Huang San for Suokou is most effective,
Rhinoceros horn, Coptis, Rehmannia, Tangerine peel, Akebia stem.
Gypsum, Moutan bark, Schizonepeta, Burdock fruit,
Rhubarb, Safflower combined with Viola Yedoensis.
Suochun (Locking Lip) pimples gather inside the lips, swelling, cracking, dry, yellow, hard and solid. Combine Xie Huang San with Zhu Wei Gao (Pig Tail Ointment); do not delay the application of Yan Zhi paste method.
[Note]
Pimples gathering inside the lips are named Suochun.
Mild cases present with scorching, cracking, swelling, and pain; severe cases present with hardness, dryness, and yellowness. This toxic fire erupts from the Spleen Organ.
Urgently administer Xie Huang San combined with Zhu Wei Gao internally, and externally apply the Yan Zhi paste method.
If black color appears, blood poison is coagulated and locked, and there is ultimately no cure.
(Xie Huang San) Formula see Suokou Syndrome Treatment.
(Zhu Wei Gao / Pig Tail Ointment) Take ten to several drops of blood from the tip of a small male pig's tail, mix with a little Meihua Bing Pian (Plum Blossom Borneol), then blend into the decoction for oral administration.
(Yan Zhi Gao) Formula see Meng Bi Syndrome Treatment.
Tuosai (Supporting Cheek) pimples on the cheek side gather in clusters; Qi is obstructed by poison, making eruption difficult. Urgently use Huang Lian Jie Du Tang to resolve it; if hard and purple-dark, Guizong Tang should be used first.
[Note]
When the face is generally sparse, but only the pimples on both cheeks gather in clusters forming patches, it is named Tuosai.
This occurs when healthy Qi is obstructed by poison, making eruption difficult.
At the initial stage when spots appear and the toxic momentum has not yet formed, immediately resolve it with Huang Lian Jie Du Tang.
If hard and purple-dark, attack it with Guizong Tang.
