[Formula Song] Ge Kou Chuang (Thrush) presents as white spots covering the entire mouth, generated by heat in the Heart and Spleen meridians of infants. In newborns, it is often due to fetal heat; if severe, the throat swells in layers and becomes painful.
[Note] This condition is common in infants, caused by heat in the Heart and Spleen meridians; in newborns, it results from fetal heat attacking upward. White spots appear throughout the mouth with pain; severely, the throat swells in layers, making suckling difficult and causing frequent crying. The treatment method involves wrapping a piece of green gauze around the head of a chopstick, dipping it in freshly drawn cold water, and wiping away the white membrane until clean. Heavy pressure causing bleeding is acceptable. Subsequently, apply Bingpeng San (Bingpeng Powder) to the lesion, and internally administer Liangge San (Cool the Upper Jiao Powder) for recovery.

[Formula Song] Kou Mi (Oral Mucosal Ulceration) is formed by Yin deficiency and Yang fire hyperactivity. Dampness from the Bladder overflows into the Spleen meridian; dampness and heat stagnate and薰 (mingle/steep) the Stomach opening, causing full-mouth ulceration with redness and pain.
[Note] This condition arises from excessive Yang and deficient Yin, where dampness from the Bladder overflows into the Spleen meridian. Dampness and heat stagnate, transforming into heat after long-term retention. Heat steams the Stomach opening, leading to extensive oral ulceration, worse than simple oral ulcers, with redness and pain, potentially extending to the throat and preventing eating and drinking. At the onset, Dao Chi Tang (Guide Out Redness Decoction) is suitable. For cases with bad breath and diarrhea due to Spleen deficiency and dampness, Lianli Tang (Coptis and Licorice Decoction) is suitable. If ulceration extends to the throat and worsens at night, Shaoyin Ganjie Tang (Shaoyin Licorice and Platycodon Decoction) is used. For constipation, Liangge San is administered. Externally, Jiangbai San (Ginger and Phellodendron Powder) applied to the area is effective.
Formula: Dao Chi Tang (Guide Out Redness Decoction)
