According to the *Yufang Mijue* (Secrets of the Jade Chamber), Chonghezi stated: Those practicing sexual cultivation must not allow women to secretly observe these techniques. Not only will this bring no benefit to the man, but it may even cause disease and injury.
This is likened to lending a sharp weapon to another; one would be unable to defend oneself when sleeves are rolled up for combat.
It further states: Pengzu said: For men desiring great benefit, it is best to engage with women who do not understand these arts. Furthermore, one should engage with virgins, whose appearance should resemble that of a maiden.
The woman should simply not be too young. If one can obtain a girl aged between fourteen or fifteen and eighteen or nineteen, it is highly beneficial. However, the age should not exceed thirty. Even if under thirty, women who have already given birth cannot provide such benefits. My predecessors who transmitted this Dao claimed to live for three thousand years. Those who combine it with herbal medicine may attain immortality.
It also states: To practice the Dao of Yin-Yang Qi extraction for health preservation, relying on a single woman is insufficient. Obtaining three, nine, or eleven women is better, and the more the merrier. By collecting their essence, guiding it to the "Hongquan" (Great Spring), returning the essence to nourish the skin, enhance luster, lighten the body, clarify the eyes, and strengthen Qi and physical power, one can resist various adversaries. The elderly will appear as they did at twenty. For the young, the effect will be a hundredfold.
It further states: When engaging with women, change partners with each movement. Changing partners promotes longevity or maintains original vitality. If one repeatedly engages with the same woman, her Yin Qi becomes weaker, and the benefits diminish.
It also states: The Green Ox Doctor said: Frequently changing partners yields greater benefits; changing more than ten partners in one night is particularly excellent. Consistently engaging with the same woman causes her essence and Qi to weaken, failing to greatly benefit the man, and also causes the woman to become emaciated.
According to the *Yufang Zhiyao* (Essentials of the Jade Chamber), Pengzu said: The art of intercourse holds no other mysteries. One should merely be indulgent, tolerant, calm, and slow, valuing harmony above all. Stimulate the Dantian, seek oral contact, press deeply with slight oscillation, to induce Qi flow. When a woman responds to Yang Qi, there are subtle signs: her ears turn red as if intoxicated by fine wine, her breasts warm and swell, feeling full in the hand, her neck moves repeatedly, her legs tremble and disturb, and her posture becomes soft and alluring. At this moment, if one slightly retracts and penetrates shallowly, the Yang Qi drawn from Yin will result in loss.
Furthermore, the fluids of the five Zang organs center on the tongue, which is what Chisongzi referred to as "Jade Saliva" capable of sustaining life without grain. During intercourse, one should retain much saliva and tongue fluid, making the stomach feel open and clear, as if taking herbal decoctions. Thirst-quenching diseases will heal instantly, rebellious Qi will descend, the skin will become lustrous, and the demeanor will resemble that of a virgin. The Dao is not far to seek; it is merely that common people fail to recognize it. Cai Nu said: Not going against human nature yet extending lifespan—is this not joyful?
