(First, puncture the affected area with a needle.)
Facial pockmarks in humans cause disfigurement. When the annual fortune passes through this body part, one often encounters setbacks and difficulties. Use Chen Jiangdan (Aged Red Mercuric Oxide) and Sheng Shigao (Raw Gypsum Fibrosum), grind them into an extremely fine powder, and sprinkle it into the pockmark holes. It is necessary to apply a thin layer of plaster. After seven days, the flesh and scabs within the pockmarks will necrose and slough off. If the scar is deep, only sprinkle Shengji San (Flesh-Regenerating Powder) thinly once, then apply plaster; subsequently, apply multiple layers of medicament-free plaster. If the scar is shallow, no topical medication should be applied, only plaster is needed. If the tissue inside the pockmark has not yet necrosed, still sprinkle Jiang Yao (Corrosive Medication) thinly and apply plaster. Wait until the scar tissue shows signs of necrosis, then continue applying plaster for forty days, and the wound will naturally heal flat and recover. Alternatively, apply plaster for five days first to make the scar tissue tender and easier to necrose. This is a miraculous prescription passed down through the ages.
If an iron needle is embedded in the flesh and cannot be seen, take four eyeballs of a toad (Bufo bufo gargarizans or similar species), crush them, and apply the paste to the puncture wound. After three days, the head of the needle will appear and can be extracted with forceps. (In cold weather, obtain toads from rivers.) Alternatively, apply a plaster containing Jiangdan (Red Mercuric Oxide) on the puncture site; after one month, the needle will spontaneously extrude from the original opening, or it can be extracted using a large magnet.
For individuals over forty or fifty years old, if the bones of the hands or feet are fractured due to a fall, the essence within the bone has become solid and full, making immediate reconnection difficult. It may take a year for the condition to fully resolve. In contrast, young people have hollow and thin bones, which can return to normal within a month.
The sore initially presents with redness and swelling, which then turns purple-black. It ulcerates deeply along the path, occasionally exuding serous fluid, resembling marks left by a crow's pecking, hence named Yadan Chuang (Crow-Bitten Sore). Such sores can appear all over the body. They are caused by excessive damp-heat in the Spleen and Lungs overflowing into the meridians and collaterals. For the sprinkling powder prescription, see *Qingnang Ji* (Collection of Green Bag).
In women, if the lower orifices become obstructed as menstruation approaches, blood may instead surge out from the mouth and nose. This occurs because vigorous Qi and hot Blood cause the blood to reverse its flow and exit through the upper orifices. Only by employing methods to descend Qi and cool Blood will the blood naturally follow its regular pathway and return to the meridians.
When Dampness is abundant and Heat is blazing, the pathogenic factors often sink downward into the scrotum. If neglected, it easily leads to swelling and ulceration. It is common for the scrotal skin to rot through, resulting in the loss of one testicle, or even both. There is no need for panic or fear. Internally administer formulas that clear Heat and promote diuresis to drain Dampness; externally sprinkle Liangyuan San (Two-Yuan Powder) (prescription see *Qingnang Ji*) and apply plaster. Full recovery can be achieved within one to two months. However, if the testicles are lost due to trauma from knives or sticks, death will occur immediately.
