味甘，平，微寒，无毒。主心腹鬼疰，精物老魅，咳逆，泻痢脓血，女子漏下，症瘕坚
结，小儿热气惊痫，疗心腹烦满，四肢痿枯汗出，夜卧自惊恚怒，伏气在心下，不得喘息，
肠痈内疽阴蚀，止汗，缩小便，溺血，养精神，定魂魄，安五脏。
疗梦寐泻精，小便泻精。齿∶主小儿大人惊痫，癫疾狂走，心下结气，不能喘息，诸痉，
杀精物，小儿五惊，十二痫，身热不可近，大人骨间寒热，又杀蛊毒。
主惊痫螈 ，身热如火，腹中坚及热泻。久服轻身，通神明延年。生晋地川谷及太山岩
水岸土穴中死龙处，采无时。
味苦，平，有小毒。主惊痫寒热，热盛狂 ，除邪逐鬼。疗小儿百病，诸痫热，口不开，
大人狂癫。又堕胎。久服轻身增年，令人不忘。生晋地平泽。于牛得之，即阴干百日，使时
燥，无令见日月光。
味辛，温，无毒。主辟恶气，杀鬼精物，温疟，蛊毒，痫 ，去三虫。疗诸凶邪鬼气，
中恶，心腹暴痛胀急，痞满风毒，妇人产难，堕胎，去面 ，目中肤翳。久服除邪，不梦寤
魇寐，通神仙。生中台川谷及益州、雍州山谷，春分取之，生者益良。
止渴。
微寒。补虚羸，止渴。
温，补寒冷虚乏。
味甘，微寒，微温，无毒。主风痹不仁，筋急，五脏腹中积聚，寒热羸瘦，头疡白秃，
面 ，食饮吐呕。久服强志不饥，轻身长年。生雍州山谷，十一月取。
（龙骨）味甘，性平，微寒，无毒。主治心腹部的鬼疰（一种由邪气引起的慢性消耗性疾病），精怪魅惑，咳嗽气逆，痢疾脓血，女子经血淋漓不尽，腹部结块坚硬，小儿热病引起的惊厥癫痫，治疗心腹胀满，四肢痿软枯槁、出汗，夜间睡眠时自惊、愤怒，伏匿之气在心下，导致不能喘息，肠痈、体内疽疮、阴部蚀烂，止汗，缩小便，尿血，滋养精神，安定魂魄，安养五脏。
治疗梦中遗精，小便失禁遗精。牙齿：主治大人和小儿的惊厥癫痫，癫狂奔走，心下部气机结聚，不能喘息，各种痉挛，驱杀精怪，小儿五种惊风，十二种痫证，身体发热不可靠近，成人骨间寒热交替，又能驱杀蛊毒。
主治惊厥抽搐，身体发热如火，腹中坚硬及热性腹泻。长期服用可身体轻健，通灵明智，延年益寿。产于晋地山谷及泰山岩石水岸泥土洞穴中死龙所在之处，采集没有固定时间。
（熊胆）味苦，性平，有小毒。主治惊厥癫痫伴寒热，热盛导致的狂乱，驱除邪气驱逐鬼魅。治疗小儿百病，各种热性痫证，口不开，成人狂癫。又能堕胎。长期服用可身体轻健增寿，使人记忆力增强。产于晋地平原地带沼泽。在牛体内获得，需阴干百日，使其适时干燥，不要让见到日月月光。
（熊脂）味辛，性温，无毒。主治辟除恶气，驱杀鬼精之物，温疟，蛊毒，痫证，去除三虫。治疗各种凶邪鬼气，中恶，心腹突然疼痛胀急，痞满风毒，妇人难产，堕胎，去除面部黑斑，眼中翳膜。长期服用可驱除邪气，不做噩梦惊醒，通晓神仙之道。产于中台山谷及益州、雍州山谷，春分时节采集，新鲜的更好。
（熊白/脂肪部分）止渴。
（另一部位）微寒。补益虚弱羸瘦，止渴。
（另一部位）温，补益寒冷虚乏。
（熊皮等）味甘，微寒，微温，无毒。主治风痹麻木不仁，筋脉拘急，五脏及腹中积聚，寒热消瘦，头部疮疡白秃，面部黑斑，饮食呕吐。长期服用可意志坚强不饥饿，身体轻健长寿。产于雍州山谷，十一月采集。
(Longgu, Dragon Bone) Sweet in flavor, neutral in nature, slightly cold, non-toxic. It primarily treats Guizhu (a chronic consumptive disease caused by evil qi) in the heart and abdomen, infestations by spirits and demons, cough with reverse flow of Qi, dysentery with pus and blood, leukorrhea or metrorrhagia in women, hard masses and nodules in the abdomen, heat-induced convulsions and epilepsy in children, and心烦满 (mental restlessness and chest fullness). It treats flaccidity and atrophy of the four limbs with sweating, spontaneous fright and anger during sleep, latent Qi lodged under the heart causing inability to breathe, intestinal abscesses, internal carbuncles, and genital ulcers. It stops sweating, reduces urination, treats hematuria, nourishes the spirit, stabilizes the Hun and Po, and calms the five Zang organs.
It treats nocturnal emission in dreams and involuntary seminal discharge during urination. The teeth: treat convulsions and epilepsy in both adults and children, manic wandering due to mania, Qi stagnation under the heart causing inability to breathe, various spasms, kill spiritual entities, treat five types of childhood fright and twelve types of epilepsy, high fever making the body intolerable to touch, alternating chills and fever in the bones of adults, and kill Gu poison.
It treats convulsions with twitching, body heat like fire, hardness in the abdomen, and hot diarrhea. Long-term consumption lightens the body, enhances spiritual clarity, and prolongs life. It is found in valleys in Jin region and in soil caves on rocky banks near water at Mount Tai where dead dragons were buried. It can be harvested at any time.
(Xiongdan, Bear Bile) Bitter in flavor, neutral in nature, slightly toxic. It treats convulsions and epilepsy with chills and fever, mania caused by excessive heat, dispels evil and drives away ghosts. It treats a hundred diseases in children, various heat-type epilepsies, inability to open the mouth, and adult mania. It also induces abortion. Long-term consumption lightens the body, increases longevity, and improves memory. It is found in the plains and marshes of Jin region. Obtained from cattle, it should be dried in the shade for one hundred days until properly dry, avoiding exposure to sunlight or moonlight.
(Xiongzhi, Bear Fat) Pungent in flavor, warm in nature, non-toxic. It repels evil Qi, kills ghostly essences, treats warm malaria, Gu poison, epilepsy, and eliminates three types of parasites. It treats various malignant evil Qi, sudden poisoning by evil Qi, acute abdominal pain and distension,痞满 (fullness and obstruction), wind toxicity, difficult labor in women, abortion, removes facial macules, and corneal opacities in the eyes. Long-term consumption dispels evil, prevents nightmares and sleep paralysis, and facilitates connection with immortals. It is found in valleys of Zhongtai, Yizhou, and Yongzhou. It should be harvested at the Spring Equinox; fresh material is superior.

(Bear skin/others) Sweet in flavor, slightly cold, slightly warm, non-toxic. Treats wind-bi numbness and insensitivity, tendon stiffness, accumulations in the five Zang organs and abdomen, alternating chills and fever with emaciation, head sores and alopecia, facial macules, and vomiting after eating and drinking. Long-term consumption strengthens willpower, suppresses hunger, lightens the body, and prolongs life. It is found in the valleys of Yongzhou. Harvested in November.
