\r舌下珠\p05-c14a62.bmp\r
\r左雀舌\p05-c14a63.bmp\r
\r右雀舌\p05-c14a64.bmp\r

\r胃火小舌\p05-c14a65.bmp\r
Pearl on the Tongue (She Shang Zhu)
This condition arises from accumulated heat in the Heart and Spleen, resulting in white blisters of varying sizes on the tongue, with the six pulses appearing surging (Hong Da).
Promptly puncture to bleed, apply Jin Bu Huan powder externally, and internally administer San Huang Tang (Three Yellows Decoction) supplemented with: Shi Gao (Gypsum Fibrosum, 5 qian), Zi He Che (Placenta Humana, 2 qian), and Di Ding Cao (Viola Yedoensis Herb, 1 qian). Concurrently take one dose of Yu Shu Dan (Jade Pivot Pill, 0.5 fen). If the six pulses are slow and fine (Chi Xi), the aforementioned medicines must not be used.
Pearl under the Tongue (She Xia Zhu)
Pearl under the tongue is a condition caused by deficiency of both the Spleen and Kidney. Treat with Liu Wei Tang (Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Decoction) supplemented with equal parts of Xuan Shen (Scrophulariae Radix) stir-fried with salt water, Sheng Di (Rehmanniae Radix), Zhi Mu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma) stir-fried with salt water, Huang Bo (Phellodendri Cortex), and Mu Tong (Akebiae Caulis). Apply Jin Bu Huan powder externally; other medications follow the previous instructions.
Left Sparrow's Tongue (Zuo Que She)
Left sparrow's tongue results from excessive consumption of fried, roasted, or grilled foods, leading to the accumulation of heat and toxins in the Stomach. Consequently, a small tongue-like growth appears on the side of the tongue, near the gum roots. In the initial stage, puncture with a needle to drain blood and insufflate Jin Bu Huan powder. Treat with Liu Wei Tang combined with San Huang Tang (Three Yellows Decoction) and Liang Ge San (Cooling the Diaphragm Powder). If it persists for a long time, it will inevitably ulcerate; use Long Gu Sheng Ji San (Dragon Bone Muscle-Generating Powder) to conclude treatment. (San Huang Tang, Liang Ge San, and Long Gu Sheng Ji San are all referenced in Volume II.)
Right Sparrow's Tongue (You Que She)
This condition also originates from accumulated toxins. The treatment method is largely similar to the preceding case, with minor differences. Use Liu Wei Tang (Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Decoction) supplemented with Xi Jiao Di Huang Tang (Rhinoceros Horn and Rehmannia Decoction). (Xi Jiao Di Huang Tang is referenced in Volume II; external application remains the same as before.)
(Illustrated Explanations of Five Conditions)
Stomach Fire Small Tongue (Wei Huo Xiao She)
This condition erupts due to fire-toxin stagnating in the Spleen and Stomach for a prolonged period. The uvula presents white spots and ulceration, while the Stomach pulse appears floating and surging (Fu Hong). Treatment involves Liu Wei Tang (Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Decoction) supplemented with: Sheng Shi Gao (Raw Gypsum Fibrosum, 4 liang), Huang Qin (Scutellariae Radix) stir-fried with wine (2 qian), Hua Fen (Trichosanthis Radix, 3 qian), Ge Gen (Puerariae Lobatae Radix, 2 qian), and Shan Zhi (Gardeniae Fructus, 1 qian). One or two doses invariably lead to recovery. Insufflate Jin Bu Huan powder and concurrently consume Bai Zhi Zhi (Cypress Branch Juice). This condition stems from excessive intake of grilled foods, strong alcohol, and rich flavors, or injury from fish bones. It differs from "Jie Du" (condyloma/acquired syphilis). During pulse diagnosis, a floating and surging pulse at the Stomach position indicates a Fire syndrome, whereas a deep and solid pulse indicates Toxin; these must be clearly distinguished.
