Discourse states: The *Neijing* (Classic of Internal Medicine) mentions that there is a condition presenting with swelling in the chest and neck, chest fullness, and abdominal distension, named Jue Ni (Jue-Ni, reversal cold or qi rebellion). When Yin and Yang ascend and descend in harmony, Qi flows smoothly; however, if the upper part is excess and the lower part is deficient, Qi becomes rebellious and adverse. Currently, Yang Qi is excessive in the upper body and depressed between the chest and abdomen, resulting in swelling of the chest and neck, chest fullness, and abdominal distension, thereby forming a syndrome of Qi rebellion. The treatment method should not employ moxibustion, nor needle-stone therapy; only by harmonizing and smoothing Yin and Yang, so that ascent and descent are unobstructed, will the disease heal itself.
To treat Jue-Ni disease where the Sanjiao (Triple Burner) is disharmonious, with obstruction of ascent and descent, manifesting as neck pain, chest swelling, chest fullness, and abdominal distension. Tiao Zhong Wan (Regulating the Middle Pill) Formula:
