Ejiao (Donkey-hide gelatin) 2 liang.
Boil the gelatin in 1.5 sheng of wine until dissolved. Divide into three doses and take consecutively.
To treat persistent sudden vaginal bleeding during pregnancy, cold extremities, fainting, and near-death state: Formula.
Qing Zhu Ru (Green Bamboo Shavings) (two fist-sized pieces), Ai Ye (Artemisia argyi Folium), Ejiao (Donkey-hide gelatin) (roasted until dry) each 2 liang, Bai Mi (White Honey) 2 he.
Boil the first three ingredients in 6 sheng of water to yield 2 sheng. Strain, add honey, and boil once more. Divide into two doses; recovery will be immediate.
To treat persistent sudden vaginal bleeding during pregnancy with waist and abdominal pain: Di Huang Ai Ye Tang (Rehmannia and Mugwort Decoction).
Ingredients: Shu Di Huang (Prepared Rehmannia glutinosa Radix) (dried), Ai Ye (Artemisia argyi Folium) (stir-fried) each 2 liang, Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Di Yu (Sanguisorba officinalis Radix), Gan Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) (pounded and cracked), Ejiao (Donkey-hide gelatin) (stir-fried until dry), Danggui (Angelica sinensis Radix) (sliced and dried).
The above seven herbs are coarsely crushed and sifted. Each dose is 5 qianbi, taken with 1.5 sheng of water, decocted until reduced to 80%, strained, and taken warm at any time.
To treat sudden vaginal bleeding during pregnancy with waist and abdominal pain: Dang Gui San (Angelica Powder).
Ingredients: Danggui (Angelica sinensis Radix) (sliced and dried), Sang Ji Sheng (Taxillus Chinensis Herba), Xu Duan (Dipsacus asper Seedling) each 0.5 liang, Chi Shao Yao (Red Paeonia lactiflora Radix) 1 fen.
The above four herbs are crushed and sifted into a powder. Each dose is 3 qianbi, taken on an empty stomach before meals, mixed with warm wine. Add Gan Jiang (Dried Ginger) 1 liang if there is cold; add Xiong (Ligusticum chuanxiong Rhizome) 1 liang if there is abdominal pain.
