治疗风邪客居于脑部，头痛至极严重的太一麝香汤方：
草乌头（生用）一两，细辛（去除苗叶）二两，新茶芽二两。

Crush and grind these five ingredients into a powder. Take 1 qianbi mixed with 1 qianbi of Winter Tea and boiled water. Take after meals and before bed.

Cinnamomi Ramulus (Guixin, 桂心) [bark removed], Poria (Fuling, 茯苓) [black skin removed], Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang, 麻黄) [roots and nodes removed], Bombyx Batryticatus (Baijiangcan, 白僵蚕) [stir-fried], Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng, 防风) [forks removed], Aurantii Fructus Immaturus (Zhike, 枳壳) [pith removed], Cornu Bubali (Shanjiao, 犀角) [sliced], Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo, 羌活) [rhizome head removed].
Process these sixteen ingredients into fine powder. Mix with refined honey to form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take 10 pills with hot wine.
**Gujingcao San (Globe Flower Herb Powder)** for blowing into the nose to treat Brain Wind headache:
Globe Flower Herb (Gujingcao, 谷精草) [powder], Cupri Acetas (Tonglv, 铜绿) [ground], Natrii Nitras (Xiaoshi, 硝石) [ground].
Grind and mix these three ingredients evenly. Use a "zi" amount (approx. 0.5-1 gram) to blow into the nostrils. For hemiplegic headache, blow into the nostril on the side of the pain.
**Baifuzi San (Aconitum Kusnezoffii Root Powder)** for treating Brain Wind headache caused by wind pathogen ascending from Fengfu to Naohu:
Aconitum Kusnezoffii Radix (Baifuzi, 白附子) [raw use], Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu, 白术), Gastrodiae Rhizoma (Tianma, 天麻), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Baizhi, 白芷), each 1 liang; Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng, 防风) [forks removed], Aloe (Luhui, 芦荟), each 0.5 liang; Cinnabaris (Dansha, 丹砂) [ground] 1 liang.
First, crush and sieve Baifuzi etc. into powder. Then finely grind Dansha etc. Mix the powders together. Store in a porcelain vessel. Take 1 qianbi morning and evening, mixed with a little Mint juice and one cup of warm wine.
**Tongguan San (Passage-Opening Powder)** for treating nasal obstruction, loss of smell, clear nasal discharge, sneezing, shoulder/neck stiffness, dizziness/pain, and cold sensation at Fengfu due to Brain Wind:

Crush and sieve these six ingredients into a powder. Take 2 qianbi mixed with warm wine, three times daily.
**Wujin Jian (Black Bean Gold Elixir)** for treating men with simultaneous head and brain pain due to Brain Wind, as well as stroke symptoms like slurred speech and limb weakness:
Sojae Semen Nigrum (Heidou, 黑豆) [cleaned] 5 he, Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo, 羌活) [rhizome head removed], Angelicae Pubescentis Radix (Duhuo, 独活) [rhizome head removed], Schizonepetae Herba (Jingjie, 荆芥) [stalks removed], each 1 liang.
Coarsely crush and sieve these four ingredients. Boil in 10 dou of water until reduced to 1 sheng. Add 0.5 sheng of pure wine, mix well, and boil again. Strain and store in porcelain. Take 1 he per dose, mixed with warm wine or Mint tea. Take at any time.

Centradema Digitalioides (Lianzicao, 莲子草) [harvested May-June], Gardeniae Fructus (Zhiziye, 栀子叶), Ophiopogonis Tuber (Ma Donggen, 生麦门冬), Rehmanniae Radix (Dihuang, 生地黄), Isatidis Radix (Wulan, 吴蓝) [these five crushed for juice, 3 sheng each], Forsythiae Fructus (Lianqiao, 连翘), Perillae Folium (Zisuye, 紫苏子叶).
Process these fourteen ingredients. Except for the juice of the first five, coarsely crush the rest, place in a silk bag, and simmer with the juices until reduced by half. Strain and clarify. Add 1 sheng of Sesame Oil (Shengmayou, 生麻油), mix well, and simmer again until reduced by half. Store in a bottle for 27 days. Add 4 liang of finely ground Natrii Sulfas Crystallisatus (Mayaxiao, 马牙硝) and mix well. Apply appropriate amount to massage the vertex.
**Baifuzi Wan (Aconitum Kusnezoffii Pill)** for treating nasal obstruction, clear discharge, and incessant sneezing due to Brain Wind:

Process all except Sal Gemmae into powder. Mix evenly. Add sufficient white honey and grind to a thick syrup consistency. Add half a spoonful of white flour paste. Gradually add Sal Gemmae powder. Form pills the size of cockle seeds, coating them in Sal Gemmae powder. Dry over low fire. Chew one pill thoroughly, swallow with Mint boiled water or clear tea. Take after meals.
**Xiongtang (Ligusticum Decoction)** for treating nasal obstruction, clear discharge, and sneezing due to Brain Wind:
