All the aforementioned formulas consist of strongly cold-natured herbs; they are sedative and detoxifying agents, serving as the "generals" in expelling summerheat. The inclusion of Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) in these formulas is to secure Qi and protect the Middle Jiao, preventing sudden depletion of healthy Qi. Such medicines must only be used for severe illnesses; for mild cases, it is advisable to select appropriately from the previous ten formulas.
For relapses triggered after recovery, this formula is most effective.

If there is slight headache, add Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix) and Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma). If vomiting occurs, add Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma) stir-fried with ginger juice. If there is fullness and stuffiness in the chest, add Zhike (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus) and Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix). For dietary relapse, add Zhishi (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus) and Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma). If the condition is severe with solid stool, add Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma). If there is empty vexation in the chest, add Zhuru (Bambusae Caulis in Taeniam) and Zhuye (Bamboo Leaf). For post-illness dry heaving, confused speech, loss of spirit, groaning, and restless sleep, add Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma) and Xijiao (Rhino Ceratoss).
