(One Treatise, Three Formulas, One Moxibustion Method)
The treatise states: For all cases of Lung Lao (consumptive disease of the Lung), tonify Kidney Qi to benefit it. When Kidney Qi is vigorous, it influences the Lung. If humans go against the Qi of Autumn, the Hand-Taiyin Lung Meridian fails to gather/contract, leading to scorched and full Lung Qi. Following this principle leads to life; opposing it leads to death. Following it allows for treatment; opposing it leads to chaos. Reversing the proper order creates opposition, known as Guan Ge (Obstruction and Reflux), resulting in disease.
