The *Zhouhou Beiji Fang* (Emergency Prescriptions Kept in the Sleeve) treats sudden onset of genital diseases (referring to conditions such as scrotal swelling or hernia) caused by jumping or lifting heavy weights.
Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, 5 fen) Difuzi (Kochiae Fructus, 10 fen) Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex, 1 fen)
Crush the above three herbs into powder. Administer one Dao Gui dose with water, three times a day. (Identical record in *Gujin Luyan*)
Another prescription:
Huyin (one piece, roasted) Haizao (Sargassum Herba) Mudanpi (Moutan Cortex, each 3 fen) Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex, 2 fen)
Crush and sieve the above four herbs into a powder. Mix with honey to form pills the size of wu zi (wutong seeds). Children take five pills; adult dosage should be increased accordingly.
The *Jiyan Fang* records a moxibustion method for sudden onset of disease.
Take a piece of cattail reed, measure it across the mouth width, fold it double, then use cloth to measure on the large transverse lines of the lower abdomen. Align the center of the measurement directly with the umbilicus, ensuring it is not skewed. Perform moxibustion at both ends of the measurement and at the center, totaling three points. The number of moxa cones (zhuang) at each point should correspond to the patient's age. After treatment, self-nurture carefully: avoid lifting heavy objects, shouting in anger, laughing loudly, or calling out. (Identical records in *Qianjin Fang* and Fan Wang's *Fan Wang Fang*)
Another prescription:
Pull the glans penis straight upward and perform moxibustion at the extreme tip. Then pull downward toward the anus and perform moxibustion at the extreme point. Then pull toward the inner thighs laterally downward and perform moxibustion at the extreme points. Ensure all positions are straight and not deviated. Perform moxibustion at these four locations; the number of moxa cones corresponding to the patient's age is optimal. (Identical records in *Qianjin Fang* and Fan Wang's *Fan Wang Fang*)
Another method:
Perform moxibustion on both sides of the Foot-Jueyin Liver Meridian, three zhuang on each side. The acupoint is located between the big toe. (Both *Qianjin Fang* and Fan Wang's *Fan Wang Fang*, from Volume 9)
The *Qianjin Fang* provides an upper prescription for treating Shan syndrome (hernia) and scrotal deviation/swelling.
Mudan (Moutan Cortex) Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, each 1 fen)
Crush the above two herbs into a powder. Administer one Cun Bi dose with warm wine, twice a day. Avoid eating Hu sui (Coriandri Fructus/coriander). (From Volume 25)
Zhang Wenzhong's *Duanju Fang* contains Mudan San, a prescription for treating scrotal deviation and abdominal distension due to excessive Qi.
Mudan (Moutan Cortex) Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex) Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) Tiejing (Ferrum) Chi (Fermented Soybean, stir-fried, equal parts)

For infants, mix with milk to the size of a large soybean. This yields excellent results. Contraindications remain the same as before. (Also found in Volume 7 of *Zhouhou Beiji Fang*)
*Gujin Luyan* contains Mudan Wu Deng San, a prescription for treating Shan syndrome with enlarged scrotum, where Qi causes swelling up and down, and enlargement during walking. This prescription is effective.
