**Clamshell Ulcer (Tianluo Chuang)**
Arises on the sole of the foot, caused by the steaming and stagnation of internal dampness combined with external cold. Initially appearing as a bean-sized, yellow nodule that is stuffy, swollen, and hard; upon rupture, it exudes turbid fluid with a foul odor, leading to local edema, erosion, and pain.
[Note] This condition mostly occurs on the soles of the feet and is rare on the palms. It is caused by damp-heat pouring downward from the Spleen Meridian, compounded by external cold blocking the pores; or it arises when wading in water while the body is hot, causing damp-cold qi to steam and stagnate internally. In the early stage, it resembles a bean, is yellow, feels stuffy and swollen, is hard and painful, making weight-bearing difficult. If several grow continuously, the skin thickens and fails to rupture spontaneously, spreading into clusters of three to five with wet erosion; in severe cases, the entire dorsum of the foot swells, accompanied by alternating chills and fever. The treatment method involves boiling Sophorae Radicis Cortex (Kushen), Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (Changpu), and Artemisia Argyi Folium (Yi Ai) to make a decoction for hot washing. Subsequently, use a thread needle to puncture it, drain the foul fluid, and apply Jiawei Taiyi Gao (Modified Taiyi Plaster). Then, cut away the thickened skin, sprinkle an equal mixture of Gypsum Fibrosum (Shigao) and Calomelas (Qingfen) powder onto the lesion, and cover it again with Jiawei Taiyi Gao. Internally, administer Jiedu XiPi Tang (Detoxification and Spleen-Purging Decoction). For those who do not heal after years, due to damp-cold in the lower part of the body, frequent consumption of Jin Kui Shen Qi Wan (Jinkui Shenqi Pill) is highly effective.
**Jiedu XiPi Tang (Detoxification and Spleen-Purging Decoction)**
Ingredients: Gypsum Fibrosum (Shigao) [dose missing], Arctii Fructus (Niubangzi) (stir-fried and ground), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin), Atractylodis Rhizoma (Cangzhu) (stir-fried), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao) (raw), Akebiae Caulis (Mutong), Gardeniae Fructus (Shanzhi) (raw and ground, each 1 qian).
Preparation: Use two bowls of water and twenty stalks of Juncus Medullae (Dengxincao), decoct until reduced to 0.8 parts, and take orally.
[Prescription Song] Jiedu XiPi Tang contains Huangqin and Niubangzi; Fangfeng, Shigao, Cangzhu, Gancao, Mutong, and Shanzhi are included. When Clamshell Ulcer arises, decocting and taking this prescription clears heat, disperses wind, and removes dampness.

**Corn (Rouci)**
The Corn syndrome arises from foot binding or walking long distances in narrow shoes, resulting in difficult gait and severe pain. Applying crushed Zishan Gen (Zizaniathera Root) externally yields miraculous results.
[Note] This condition occurs on the toes, resembling a corn (clavus), hence commonly called "chicken eye." The root sinks deep into the flesh, while the top protrudes and hardens, causing pain that impedes walking. It can be caused by foot binding or walking long distances in tight shoes. The treatment method involves applying Jiawei Taiyi Gao to moisten the area, or using the root of Liliaceae Fritillariae Thunbergii Bulbus (Ziyuzan Huagen), crushing it and applying it externally, covered with oil paper. Alternatively, grinding Corticex Lycii (Digupi) and Carthami Flos (Honghua) in equal proportions and mixing with sesame oil for topical application is also effective.
