Tiny red spots, with granular structures hidden within the skin without protruding, constitute this condition. It belongs to Heart Fire damaging the blood, causing the blood to fail in its normal circulation and accumulate in the skin. The primary treatment is Siwu Xiaofeng Yin (Four Substances Wind-Dispersing Decoction), modified by removing Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix) and adding Lianqiao (Forsythiae Fructus) and Mutong (Akebiae Caulis).
It commonly occurs between the neck, chest, and axillae. The color is purple or white, with dots connecting into patches resembling rough skin, yet it does not spread or migrate, nor is there pain or itching. This arises from pathogenic wind invading the muscle layer, lingering for a long time without dispersing. Treatment utilizes Jiawei Erchen Tang (Modified Two-Aged Phlegm Decoction) with added Jingjie (Schizonepetae Spica), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), and Chanyi (Cicadae Periostracum), each 2 qian, and Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) 1 qian, decocted with half wine and half water. Externally, wash the area with a decoction of Jingjie and apply Xionshe San (Realgar and Snake Molt Powder) for cure.
Grind Xionghuang (Realgar, 1 qian) and Shetui (Snake Molt, one strip, processed to retain efficacy) into fine powder. Mix with sesame oil and apply topically.
Initially, the spots wander and merge into patches; over time, they may extend over the entire body. Initially free of pain or itching, slight itching develops later. This results from sun-dried sweat-soaked clothes contacting the body, or walking in the sun while sweating. The condition resolves when the spots turn black and fade away. Although many ancient formulas exist for treating this syndrome, few are effective. Patients should avoid fish, seafood, strong alcohol, and foods that trigger wind.
Grind Xionghuang (Realgar), Liuhuang (Sulfur), Huangdan (Lead Monoxide), Miduoseng (Lead Carbonate), and Nanting (Arisaematis Rhizoma Praeparatum) into fine powder. First rub the affected area with green onion, then apply the powder using ginger slices. The area will gradually turn black; continue application until the blackness dissipates for a cure.
The skin is dry and itchy, presenting with eruptions like eczema but white in color. Scratching causes scaling. Gradually, the limbs become dry, cracked, bleeding, and painful. The skin between the fingers thickens, impairing movement. Apply raw lard topically.
Blood shoots out from the pores like arrows due to excessive Fire in the Heart and Lung, forcing blood to circulate recklessly outward. Internally, administer Liangxue Dihuang Tang (Cooling Blood and Rehmannia Decoction). Externally, apply a slice of fresh pork to stop the bleeding. Alternatively, grind Jingmo (Beijing Ink Stick) into powder, mix with vinegar, and apply topically for cure.
Take Shengdi (Rehmanniae Radix, 3–5 qian), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma, 1 qian), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, 1.5 qian), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Zhizi (Gardeniae Fructus), Yuanshen (Scrophulariae Radix), and Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, each 1.5 qian). Add two zhong of water and decoct to obtain eight fen. Take according to the location of the disease (upper or lower body) and timing relative to meals.
