大风癞病，都是由于感受恶风以及触犯禁忌危害所导致的。刚患病时，感觉皮肤麻木不仁，或者感到瘙痒难忍，好像有虫子在四肢爬行游走一样。
治疗大风癞病，兼治万种痈疽、疥癣、赤白风癞，以及骨肉疏败、全身关节烦痛、眉毛鬓发脱落、身体瘙痒跳动的方剂：
天雄（半两，炮裂，去皮脐） 细辛（半两） 川乌头（半两，炮裂，去皮脐） 莽草（半两，微炙） 干姜（半两） 独活（一两）
以上药材，捣碎过罗成散剂。每次在饭前，用温酒调服二钱。
治疗大风癞病，顽固性麻风，紫癜和白驳风，适宜服用此方：
乳香（五两，黄色透明的，炒至软后冷捣） 白胶香（五两，光明品质好的） 松脂（五两，上好的） 龙脑（三两）
以上药材，将这三味药一同捣碎，放入银锅或石锅中，用水一斗五升，煮药二十沸。专门注意火候控制。
治疗大风癞疾的白僵蚕丸方：
白僵蚕（半两，微炒） 蛇蜕皮灰（半两） 皂荚刺灰（半两） 虾蟆灰（半两） 防风（半两，去芦头） 蝉蜕皮灰（半两）
以上药材，捣碎过罗成末。用乌蛇卵调和制成丸药，大小如梧桐子。每天空腹及晚饭前，用温酒送下二十丸。
治疗大风癞病，遍身出现瘾疹，像半覆盖状，溃烂如同桃杏大疮，连年加重者，适宜服用苦参丸方：
苦参（半斤，细锉后捣罗成末） 生干地黄（五两） 朱砂（二两，细研，水飞法处理） 薰陆香（二两）
以上药材，捣碎过罗成末。炼蜜调和制成丸药，大小如梧桐子。每天空腹及晚饭前，用温水送下三十丸。
治疗大风癞病的丹砂丸方：
朱砂（半两，细研） 水银（半两，用少量枣肉研磨至星点消失） 桂心（半两） 干姜（半两，炮裂锉碎） 乌头（半两，去汗） 藜芦（半两）
以上药材，捣碎过罗成末。加入朱砂和水银研磨均匀。取酒二升，先煎取五合，待温度降低后，加入淳漆五合，熬制并搅拌。
治疗遍身白屑，搔抓则疼痛，转变为大风癞病的苦参酿酒方：
苦参（五斤） 露蜂房（五两） 陈皮（一枚） 曲（三斤）
以上药材，细锉。用水五斗，将药浸泡四天。蒸米五斗连同药曲，按照常规方法酿酒。酒熟后，每次服用暖酒适量。
治疗大风癞病，身体面目有疮疡的白艾蒿酿酒方：
取白艾蒿十束，每束如斗大，粗锉。用水一硕，煮取汁液五斗。用曲十五斤，糯米一硕，按照常规方法酿酒。
治疗大风癞恶疮最严重的，服用黑豆方：
小粒黑豆，挑选一升。四月采集天雄乌头，净去泥土不要洗，捣碎绞取汁液二升，浸泡豆子一夜。早晨滤出。
治疗大风癞恶疾的何首乌散方：
何首乌（一斤，入白米泔水中浸泡七天，夏季每日换水，用竹刀刮碎，九蒸九晒） 胡麻子（四两，九蒸九晒）
以上药材，捣碎过罗成散剂。每次在饭前，用温酒调下三（二）钱。也可以用荆芥薄荷汤或茶调服，也可以。
治疗中大风癞疾的松脂丸方：
炼成松脂（白色的，不计多少）
以上药材，捣熟研磨。炼蜜调和制成丸药，大小如梧桐子。每次在饭前，用蜜汤送下二十丸。服药一天后效果显著。
治疗五脏大风癞，以及赤白各种癞病，毒疮遍身疼痛的桃枝汤浸浴方：
桃枝（一斤） 枫枝（一斤） 槐枝（一斤） 柳枝（一斤） 杉枝（一斤） 松枝（一斤） 桑枝（一斤） 苦参（半斤） 蒴藋（半斤） 牛蒡根（半斤） 枸杞根（半斤） 秦艽（半斤） 丹参（半斤）
以上药材，细锉和匀，分为四次使用。每次用东流水一硕，煎取七斗。去掉药渣，观察冷热程度，在暖室内浸泡。
Da Feng Lai (Leprosy) is caused by exposure to malignant wind and violation of taboos. At the onset, patients feel numbness in the skin or suffer from intense itching, as if insects are crawling on the limbs.
Formula for treating Da Feng Lai (Leprosy), along with various carbuncles, sores, tinea, red and white leprosy, bone and flesh deterioration, joint pain, loss of eyebrows and hair, and body itching:
Tianxiong (Fried Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata, half liang, processed by frying, peel and umbilicus removed) Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma, half liang) Chuan Wutou (Aconiti Radix, half liang, processed by frying, peel and umbilicus removed) Mangcao (Herba Siegesbeckiae, half liang, slightly roasted) Ganjiang (Dried Zingiberis Rhizoma, half liang) Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix, one liang)
Crush the above herbs and sieve into powder. Before meals, take two qian mixed with warm wine.
Formula suitable for treating Da Feng Lai (Leprosy), stubborn leprosy, purple spots, and vitiligo:
Ruxiang (Olibanum, five liang, yellow and transparent, fried until soft then crushed when cold) Baijiaoxiang (Pistacia Resin, five liang, bright and good quality) Songzhi (Pinus Resin, five liang, premium quality) Longnao (Borneolum Syntheticum, three liang)
Crush the above three ingredients together. Place them in a silver or stone pot with fifteen sheng of water. Boil for twenty cycles. Pay close attention to the heat control.
Formula for White Silkworm Pills to treat Da Feng Lai (Leprosy):
Bai Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus, half liang, slightly fried) Shetui (Ophichthys Skin Ash, half liang) Zaojia Ci Hui (Gleditsiae Sinensis Spine Ash, half liang) Xia Ma Hui (Toad Ash, half liang) Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, half liang, remove radicle) Chan Tui (Cicada Molt Ash, half liang)
Crush and sieve the above herbs into powder. Mix with egg yolk of Black Snake to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take twenty pills before empty stomach and before evening meal with warm wine.
Formula for Kushen Pills to treat Da Feng Lai (Leprosy) with widespread urticaria resembling partial coverage, ulcerating like peach or apricot sores, worsening over years:
Kushen (Sophorae Flavescentis Radix, half jin, finely cut and crushed into powder) Sheng Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Recens, five liang) Zhusha (Cinnabar, two liang, finely ground and washed with water via levigation) Xunluxiang (Frankincense, two liang)
Crush and sieve the above herbs into powder. Mix with refined honey to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take thirty pills before empty stomach and before evening meal with warm water.
Formula for Dansha Pills to treat Da Feng Lai (Leprosy):
Zhusha (Cinnabar, half liang, finely ground) Shuiyin (Mercurius, half liang, ground with a small amount of jujube pulp until no visible particles remain) Guixin (Cinnamomi Ramulus, half liang) Ganjiang (Dried Zingiberis Rhizoma, half liang, processed by frying and cut) Wutou (Aconiti Radix, half liang, remove toxic sweat) Lilu (Veratri Rhizoma, half liang)
Crush and sieve the above herbs into powder. Add Zhusha and Shuiyin and grind evenly. Take two sheng of wine, boil down to five he. Let it cool, add five he of pure lacquer, and simmer while stirring.
Formula for Kushen Wine to treat white scales all over the body that hurt when scratched, transforming into Da Feng Lai (Leprosy):
Kushen (Sophorae Flavescentis Radix, five jin) Lufengfang (Vespa Nidus, five liang) Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, one piece) Qu (Medicated Leaven, three jin)
Finely cut the above herbs. Soak in five dou of water for four days. Steam five dou of rice with the medicated leaven. Brew wine according to normal methods. When ready, take warm wine in appropriate amounts each time.
Formula for White Mugwort Wine to treat Da Feng Lai (Leprosy) with sores on the body and face:
Take ten bundles of White Mugwort (Artemisiae Argyi Herba), each bundle about the size of a dou. Coarsely cut. Boil in one shuo of water to obtain five dou of juice. Use fifteen jin of medicated leaven and one shuo of glutinous rice. Brew wine according to normal methods.
Black Bean Formula for severe malignant sores of Da Feng Lai (Leprosy):
Select one sheng of small black beans. In April, collect Tianxiong Wutou (Processed Aconitum). Clean off soil without washing. Crush and squeeze out two sheng of juice. Soak the beans overnight. Filter out in the morning.
Formula for He Shouwu Powder to treat malignant Da Feng Lai (Leprosy):
He Shouwu (Polygoni Multiflori Radix, one jin, soaked in white rice wash water for seven days; change water daily in summer; scrape with bamboo knife until broken; nine steaming and nine sun-drying processes) Humaizi (Sesami Fructus, four liang, nine steaming and nine sun-drying processes)
Crush and sieve the above herbs into powder. Take three (two) qian before meals mixed with warm wine. Jingjie Mint Decoction or tea can also be used for mixing.
Formula for Songzhi Pills to treat moderate Da Feng Lai (Leprosy):
Refined Songzhi (Pinus Resin, white variety, quantity not limited)
Cook and grind the above herb. Mix with refined honey to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take twenty pills before meals with honey water. Significant effect observed after one day of administration.
Formula for Peach Branch Decoction Bath to treat Da Feng Lai (Leprosy) involving five zang organs, red and white leprosy, and painful toxic sores all over the body:
Taozhi (Peach Twig, one jin) Fengzhi (Maple Twig, one jin) Huaizhi (Locust Tree Twig, one jin) Liuzhi (Willow Twig, one jin) Shanzhi (Fir Twig, one jin) Songzhi (Pine Twig, one jin) Sangzhi (Mulberry Twig, one jin) Kushen (Sophorae Flavescentis Radix, half jin) Shuodie (Polygoni Avicularis Herba, half jin) Niubanggen (Arctii Radix, half jin) Gouqigen (Lycii Radicis Cortex, half jin) Qinjiao (Gentianae Macrophyllae Radix, half jin) Danshen (Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix, half jin)
Finely cut and mix evenly. Divide into four doses. For each dose, use one shuo of flowing water from the east. Boil down to seven dou. Remove dregs. Check temperature. Soak in a warm room.
