以上药材，捣碎并过筛制成散剂。每次服用四钱，用一中盏水，加入大枣三枚，煎煮至剩余六分水量，滤去药渣，不拘时候温服。
治疗心风引起的烦热、神志恍惚、胡言乱语、时而惊恐、自己不能觉察、发作有定时，适宜服用小草散方。
药材：小草（一两）、柏子仁（一两）、犀角屑（半两）、赤茯苓（一两）、铁精（一两，细研）、龙齿（三分，细研）、天竺黄（一两，细研）、生干地黄（一两）、琥珀末（一两，细研）。
以上药材，捣碎并过细罗筛制成散剂，加入已研好的药，混合均匀。每次不拘时候，用天竺黄（竹叶）汤调服一钱。
治疗心风引起的神志恍惚、惊恐妄语、忽喜忽悲、悲伤不乐，适宜服用龙骨散方。

以上药材，捣碎并过细罗筛制成散剂，加入已研好的药，混合均匀。每次不拘时候，用金银汤放温后，调服一钱。
治疗心风引起的神志恍惚、惊恐失常，或者愤怒悲伤愁苦、情意不乐，适宜服用镇心丸方。
药材：紫石英（细研，水飞法处理）、朱砂（细研，水飞法处理）、白石英（细研，水飞法处理）、龙齿（细研）、人参（去芦头）、细辛、赤箭（即独活）、天门冬（去心，焙干）、熟干地黄、白茯苓、犀角屑、沙参（去芦头）、菖蒲、防风（去芦头）（以上各一两）、远志（半两，去心）。
以上药材，捣碎过罗筛成粉末，全部放入乳钵中，再次共同研磨，使其均匀，用炼蜜调和并捣击三、二百下，制成梧桐子大小的丸剂。每次不拘时候，用温酒送服三十丸。
The Heart is the residence of Shen (Spirit). When calm, the spirit is clear; when agitated, disease arises. Therefore, in individuals with deficiency and damage, where Qi and Blood are insufficient, Wind pathogen may invade the Hand Shaoyin (Heart) meridian, causing mental unrest and disordered will, thus leading to a state of mental confusion or trance.
For treating Heart Wind manifesting as mental confusion, fright, palpitations, and unsettled Heart Qi, Longchi San (Dragon Tooth Powder) is indicated.
Ingredients: Longchi (Dragon Tooth, 3 fen, finely ground into powder), Han Fangji (Stephania Tetrandra Root, 3 fen), Maimendong (Ophiopogon Japonicus Tuber, 3 fen, core removed), Huangqin (Scutellaria Baicalensis Root, 3 fen, sliced), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, 1 liang, core removed), Gancao (Licorice Radix et Rhizoma, 3 fen, honey-fried until slightly reddish, sliced).
Process these ingredients by crushing and sifting through a coarse sieve to make a powder. First, take one large cup of water and add one liang of silver, decoct until the volume reduces to six-tenths, then remove the silver. Next, add four qian of the herbal powder and decoct until the volume reduces to four-tenths. Strain the dregs, add half he of Bamboo Sap (Zhuli), boil for one or two more boils, and take warm at any time.
For treating Heart Wind manifesting as deficient palpitations, mental confusion, forgetfulness, and fright, Shashen San (Glehnia Root Powder) is indicated.
Ingredients: Shashen (Glehnia Root, 3 fen, radix removed), Baifuling (Poria Cocos, 3 fen), Yuanzhi (Polygala Tenuifolia Root, half liang, core removed), Xijiaoxie (Rhinoceros Horn Shavings, half liang), Gancao (Licorice Radix et Rhizoma, half liang, honey-fried until slightly reddish, sliced), Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Divaricata Root, half liang, radix removed), Longchi (Dragon Tooth, 1 liang), Tianmendong (Asparagus Cochinchinensis Tuber, 1 liang, core removed), Shenggan Dihuang (Rehmannia Glutinosa Root, dried fresh, 1 liang).
Process these ingredients by crushing and sifting through a coarse sieve to make a powder. Take three qian per dose, decoct with one medium cup of water, half qian of Fresh Ginger (Shengjiang), and two Jujubes (Dazao) until the volume reduces to six-tenths. Strain the dregs and take warm at any time.
For treating Heart Wind manifesting as deficient vexation and restless mental confusion, Huangqin San (Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Powder) is indicated.
Ingredients: Huangqin (Scutellaria Baicalensis Root, 1 liang, sliced), Longgu (Fossilized Bones, 1 liang), Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Divaricata Root, 1 liang, radix removed), Yuanzhi (Polygala Tenuifolia Root, 1 liang, core removed), Fushen (Poria Cocos with Hostwood, 1 liang), Maimendong (Ophiopogon Japonicus Tuber, 1 liang, core removed), Musi (Oyster Shell, 1.5 liang, calcined into powder), Gancao (Licorice Radix et Rhizoma, half liang, honey-fried until slightly reddish, sliced).
Process these ingredients by crushing and sifting to make a powder. Take three qian per dose, decoct with one medium cup of water and three Jujubes (Dazao) until the volume reduces to six-tenths. Strain the dregs and take warm at any time.
For treating Heart Wind manifesting as deficient palpitations, mental confusion, forgetfulness, or nightmares with fear and aversion, Da Dingxin San (Great Calming Heart Powder) is indicated.
Ingredients: Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, radix removed), Fushen (Poria Cocos with Hostwood), Shugan Dihuang (Rehmannia Glutinosa Root, prepared dried), Yuanzhi (Polygala Tenuifolia Root, core removed), Longchi (Dragon Tooth), Baizhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome), Hupo (Amber), Baishaoyao (White Peony Root), Ziwan (Aster Tataricus Root, cleaned of seedlings and soil), Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Divaricata Root, radix removed), Chishizhi (Red Kaolin, each 1 liang above), Baiziren (Biota Seed, 3 fen), Gancao (Licorice Radix et Rhizoma, half liang, honey-fried until slightly reddish, sliced).
Process these ingredients by crushing and sifting to make a powder. Take four qian per dose, decoct with one medium cup of water and three Jujubes (Dazao) until the volume reduces to six-tenths. Strain the dregs and take warm at any time.
For treating Heart Wind manifesting as vexatious heat, mental confusion, delirious speech, intermittent fright without self-awareness, and periodic attacks, Xiaocao San (Herba Glehniae et Ophiopogonis Powder) is indicated. Note: "Xiaocao" here refers to Glehniae Radix et Ophiopogonis Radix combined or specifically Glehnia in some contexts, but traditionally Xiaocao is Glehniae Radix. For treating Heart Wind manifesting as mental confusion, fright, delirious speech, alternating joy and sorrow, sadness, and unhappiness, Longgu San (Dragon Bone Powder) is indicated.
Ingredients: Longgu (Dragon Bone, 1 liang), Muli Fen (Oyster Shell Powder, 1.5 liang), Yuanzhi (Polygala Tenuifolia Root, 3 fen, core removed), Baifuling (Poria Cocos, 1 liang), Baiziren (Biota Seed, 1 liang), Maimendong (Ophiopogon Japonicus Tuber, 1 liang, core removed, baked), Hanshuishi (Calcitum, 1 liang), Xijiaoxie (Rhinoceros Horn Shavings, 1 liang), Gancao (Licorice Radix et Rhizoma, half liang, honey-fried until slightly reddish, sliced).
Process these ingredients by grinding finely and sifting through a fine sieve to make a powder. Take one qian per dose at any time, mixed with Yinjin Tang (Silver and Gold Decoction) cooled to warm temperature.
For treating Heart Wind manifesting as mental confusion, delirious speech, hallucinations (seeing/hearing things), palpitations, and unstable will, Fushen San (Poria with Hostwood Powder) is indicated.
Ingredients: Fushen (Poria Cocos with Hostwood, 1 liang), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, 1 liang, radix removed), Chixiaodou (Vigna Angularis Seed, half liang), Changpu (Acorus Tatarinowii Rhizome, 3 fen), Longgu (Dragon Bone, 1 liang), Xijiaoxie (Rhinoceros Horn Shavings, 1 liang), Tiefen (Iron Powder, half liang, ground), Jinbo (Gold Foil, 30 pieces, ground).
Process these ingredients by grinding finely and sifting through a fine sieve, mixing with the already ground ingredients evenly. Take one qian per dose at any time, mixed with Yinjin Tang (Silver and Gold Decoction) cooled to warm temperature.
For treating Heart Wind manifesting as mental confusion, abnormal fright, anger, sadness, worry, and emotional distress, Zhenxin Wan (Heart-Calming Pill) is indicated.
Ingredients: Zhiyanshi (Fluorite, finely ground, washed with water), Zhusha (Cinnabar, finely ground, washed with water), Baiyanshi (White Fluorite, finely ground, washed with water), Longchi (Dragon Tooth, finely ground), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, radix removed), Xixin (Asarum Root), Chijian (Aralia Mandshurica Root, also known as Duhuo), Tianmendong (Asparagus Cochinchinensis Tuber, core removed, baked), Shugan Dihuang (Rehmannia Glutinosa Root, prepared dried), Baifuling (Poria Cocos), Xijiaoxie (Rhinoceros Horn Shavings), Shashen (Glehnia Root, radix removed), Changpu (Acorus Tatarinowii Rhizome), Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Divaricata Root, radix removed) (each 1 liang above), Yuanzhi (Polygala Tenuifolia Root, half liang, core removed).
Process these ingredients by grinding and sifting into powder, place all into a mortar, grind together thoroughly to ensure uniformity, mix with refined honey, and pound 200-300 times. Form pills the size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take thirty pills per dose at any time, washed down with warm wine.
