斑蝥（半两，去头、翅、足，用糯米拌炒至黄色） 牵牛子（一两，生用） 雄雀粪（三分） 枳壳（一两，麸炒至微黄，去瓤）
以上药物，捣碎并细筛成散剂。每次服用一钱。五更初（凌晨3-5点），用米汤调服。如果出现呕吐逆反，立即服用枳壳汤缓解。日午后应当排出恶浊之物。
治疗气毒瘰疬，生于颈腋部，累累相连如桃子大小不定，肿硬疼痛。蜗牛散方：
蜗牛壳（一钱，研末） 皂荚子（煨后去皮取末三钱） 乳香（如莲子大一枚） 腻粉〔一或二钱〕
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末。用一个鸡蛋，打开取出蛋清，去掉蛋黄，调和药末，再放回蛋壳内。用湿纸包裹三五层，在火上烤干（注：原文此处有缺漏，依古法推测为焙干或晒干）。
治疗气毒瘰疬，结块坚硬疼痛。皂荚子丸方：
皂荚子（二十枚，炒熟） 巴豆（二枚，去皮心，研烂后用纸包裹压去油） 乳香 斑蝥（二枚，用糯米拌炒至米黄为度，去头、翅、足）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末。用软饭和丸，如梧桐子大。每日空腹时，用温酒送服二丸。

治疗气毒，心膈部壅滞，颈项生瘰疬，咽喉不利。何首乌丸方：
何首乌（二两） 昆布（二两，洗去咸味） 雀儿粪（一两，微炒） 雄黄（半两，细研） 麝香（一分，细研） 皂荚（十挺，去黑皮，涂酥炙至黄色，去子）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末，与前已研好的药物混合，一同研匀。用精白羊肉一斤，切细，再研磨混合，捣五七百下，制成如梧桐子大的丸剂。每次饭后，用荆芥汤送服十五丸。

治疗气毒瘰疬，肿硬疼痛，时常发作寒热，不思饮食，日渐消瘦。皂荚丸方：
皂荚（五挺，去黑皮，涂酥炙至微黄焦，去子） 蜗牛子（五十枚，炒至微黄） 雄黄（半两，细研） 何首乌（一两） 陈软枣（一两） 连翘（一两） 麝香（一分，细研） 龙脑（一钱，细研） 芫菁（七枚，用糯米拌炒至米黄，去头翅足）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末，加入已研好的药物混合均匀。用炼蜜和捣三二百下，制成如梧桐子大的丸剂。每次饭前，煎玄参汤送服七丸。
治疗气毒瘰疬，心胸壅闷，颈项肿胀，间歇性疼痛，不欲饮食。薄荷丸方：
薄荷（四两，干者） 木香（一两） 连翘（一两） 麝香（一分，细研） 皂荚（十挺，长一尺，不脆者用浆水三升浸泡三天，取汁煎成膏） 青橘皮（一两，汤浸去白瓤焙干）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末，用皂荚膏和捣三二百下，制成如梧桐子大的丸剂。每日空腹及晚饭前，用荆芥汤送服二十丸。
治疗气毒结聚，生瘰疬逐渐增多，肿硬，宜用此药外贴，令其溃烂自出。方：
燕粪（一分） 斑蝥（一分） 芫菁（一分） 砒黄（一分） 青黛（一钱） 麝香（一钱） 水银（一皂荚子大） 猪脂（半两）
先用猪脂研磨水银直至星点消失，然后加入其他药物一同研细。每次取小豆大，放在沥子上，用醋面糊纸花盖住，令其自然溃烂脱落。
治疗气毒瘰疬，结块坚硬疼痛，不能消散者，宜服腻粉丸方：
腻粉（一钱） 定粉（半两，炒至微黄） 夜明砂（一两，微炒） 桂心（半两） 斑蝥（一分，用糯米拌炒至米黄为度，去头翅足） 犀角屑（三分）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末，一同研匀。用软饭和丸，如绿豆大。每次饭前，用暖酒送服五丸。
治疗气毒瘰疬，结块肿胀未溃破者，令其内部消散。方：
槲白皮（三斤，细锉） 丁香（一两半） 麝香（半两，细研）
以上药物，用水五斗，在大釜中先煮槲皮至剩一斗，滤去药渣。再用慢火熬成膏状，后加入丁香等两味药，搅匀，收于瓷器中。每次饭前，用温酒调下半匙服用。
治疗气毒瘰疬遍布颈部，以及流注胁腋下，有头，疼痛。宜服天灵散方：
天灵盖（一两，带血色者，用茅香水洗五七次，涂酥炙至焦黄） 虎胫骨（一两，涂酥炙至焦黄）
以上药物，捣碎细筛成散剂。每日空腹时，用葱酒调下二钱，晚饭前再服一次。
又一方：
蜗牛子（一百二十枚，活者去壳，微炒干） 薄荷（二两，干者） 丁香（半两）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末，用炼蜜和丸，如梧桐子大。每次饭前，用荆芥汤送服二十丸。
治疗气毒结成瘰疬，肿硬如石，疼痛。硫黄丸方：
硫黄（一分，细研） 麝香（一分，细研） 鸡子（一枚，煮熟去白） 皂荚仁（一分，研末） 斑蝥（二枚，七枚糯米拌炒微黄，去头翅足） 牵牛子（一分，微炒研末）
以上药物，一同研匀，用软饭和丸，如小豆大。每次饭前，用人参汤送服五丸。
又一方：
鹁鸽粪（一两） 雀粪（一两） 夜明砂（一两，微炒） 密陀僧（一两）
以上药物，捣研成粉末，用炼蜜和捣百余下，制成如梧桐子大的丸剂。每日空腹时，用米汤送服十丸。
又一方：
五灵脂（三两，醋熬成膏） 皂荚（十挺，不脆者去黑皮，涂酥炙至焦黄，去子）
以上将皂荚捣罗成末，用五灵脂膏和丸，如梧桐子大。每日早晨，用薄荷汤送服十丸，夜间临睡前，用温酒送服十丸。
又一方：
木香（半两） 乌蛇（二两，酒浸去皮骨，炙至微黄） 干蝎（一两，微炒） 皂荚针（二两，炒至黄色） 啄木鸟（一只，烧为灰）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末，用炼蜜和捣三二百下，制成如梧桐子大的丸剂。每次服用，用薄荷汤送服十五丸，每日三次。
又一方：
皂荚子（一两，烧灰） 槲白皮末（一两）
以上药物一同研细。每次饭前，用温酒调下二钱。
又一方：
皂荚（一斤，不脆者去皮，涂酥炙至黄色，去皮子）
以上药物捣罗成粉末，用精羊肉半斤切细，研成糊状，下药末混合，制成如梧桐子大的丸剂。每次饭前，用皂荚刺捣碎煎汤，送服十五丸。服用此药一个月，即见大效。
Qi Poisoning Scrofula (Lump-like swellings caused by Qi toxicity) is caused by wind-heat toxic factors attacking the Lung. The Lung governs the circulation of Qi to all Zang-Fu organs. If the meridians and collaterals are obstructed and stagnant, then Defensive Qi (Wei Qi) becomes凝滞 (stagnant), leading to oppression and fullness in the heart and diaphragm, and inability to eat. Binglang San Formula:
Areca Seed (1 liang) Peucedanum Root (1 liang, remove rhizome) Ginseng Root (0.5 liang, remove rhizome) Red Poria (1 liang) Immature Bitter Orange (0.5 liang, stir-fried with bran until yellow, remove pith) Saposhnikovia Root (0.5 liang, remove rhizome) Licorice Root (1 fen, honey-fried until slightly red, chopped) Agarwood (0.5 liang) Burdock Fruit (1 liang, slightly stir-fried)
Crush the above herbs into a coarse powder. Take 4 qian per dose. Add 1 zhong of water and 0.5 fen of fresh ginger. Decoct until reduced to 0.6 zhong. Strain. Take warm on an empty stomach and before evening meal.
Treating Qi Poisoning Scrofula with nodular swelling and pain. Banmao San Formula:
Mustard Beetle (0.5 liang, remove head, wings, feet; stir-fry with glutinous rice until yellow) Morning Glory Seed (1 liang, raw use) Male Sparrow Droppings (3 fen) Immature Bitter Orange (1 liang, stir-fried with bran until slightly yellow, remove pith)
Crush the above herbs into a fine powder. Take 1 qian per dose. At wugeng (early morning, 3-5 AM), take mixed with porridge drink. If vomiting occurs, immediately administer Zhike Tang to relieve it. In the afternoon, foul matter should be discharged.
Treating Qi Poisoning Scrofula occurring in the neck and axilla, appearing as clusters varying in size like peaches, hard and painful. Woniu San Formula:
Snail Shell (1 qian, powdered) Gleditsia Sinensis Fruit (3 qian, roasted, skin removed, powdered) Frankincense (size of a lotus seed) Calomel (1 or 2 qian)
Crush the above herbs into powder. Use one chicken egg, separate the white from the yolk. Mix the medicine powder with the egg white, return it to the shell. Wrap with wet paper three to five layers, and bake/dry over heat.
Treating Qi Poisoning Scrofula with hard nodules and pain. Zaojiazi Wan Formula:
Gleditsia Sinensis Seed (20 seeds, cooked) Croton Seed (2 seeds, remove skin and heart, grind, wrap in paper, press to remove oil) Frankincense Mustard Beetle (2 seeds, stir-fry with glutinous rice until rice turns yellow, remove head, wings, feet)
Crush the above herbs into powder. Mix with soft rice to form pills, size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 2 pills on an empty stomach daily, with warm wine.
Treating Qi Poisoning Scrofula, taking this to resolve internally. Banmao Wan Formula:
Mustard Beetle (1 liang, remove head, wings, feet; stir-fry with glutinous rice until rice turns yellow) Moschus (0.5 liang, finely ground) Cinnabar (0.5 liang, finely ground) Dried Ginger (1 fen, raw) Raw Licorice Root (0.5 liang, chopped) Rhinoceros Horn Shavings (0.5 liang) Millet (3 he, slightly stir-fried)
Crush the above herbs into powder. Mix with previously ground ingredients evenly. Use natural juice from pounding the white bark of Malva root. Stir and pound 100-200 times. Form pills size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 5 pills per dose with Malva root decoction, on an empty stomach and before sleep.
Treating Qi Poisoning, obstruction in heart and diaphragm, scrofula in neck, throat discomfort. Heshouwu Wan Formula:
Polygonum Multiflorum Root (2 liang) Kelp (2 liang, wash to remove saltiness) Sparrow Droppings (1 liang, slightly stir-fried) Realgar (0.5 liang, finely ground) Moschus (1 fen, finely ground) Gleditsia Sinensis Pod (10 pods, remove black skin, coat with lard, roast until yellow, remove seeds)
Crush the above herbs into powder. Mix with previously ground ingredients evenly. Use 1 jin of lean white mutton, cut finely, grind together. Pound 500-700 times. Form pills size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 15 pills after meals with Schizonepeta Decoction.
Treating Qi Poisoning Scrofula, hard nodules not resolving, pain day and night. Haijinhua Wan Formula:
Hai Jinhua (1 fen) Clove [1 liang or 1 fen] Amber (1 fen, finely ground) Tortoise Plastron (1 fen, coat with lard, roast until yellow/brown) Sweet Descurainia Seed (1 fen, stir-fry between papers until yellow) Moschus (1 qian, finely ground) Gleditsia Sinensis Seed (20 seeds, roasted yellow, pounded to powder, approx weight 1 jin)
Crush the above herbs into powder. Mix evenly. Bind with refined honey into pills size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 15 pills before meals with warm wine. The pathogen should exit via urination and defecation.
Treating Qi Poisoning Scrofula, nodular swelling and pain, taking this to resolve internally. Formula:
Fermented Soybean (2 he, soak in hot water overnight, grind to thick paste, squeeze juice through cloth, discard dregs) Leech (1 fen, stir-fry until slightly yellow) Dove/Pigeon Droppings (1 liang, slightly stir-fried) Chicken Egg (2)
Crush the above herbs into powder. Mix with soybean paste and eggs evenly. Wrap in oil paper, steam over rice. When rice is cooked, take out, add small amount of honey, bind into pills size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 10 pills before meals with warm wine.
Treating Qi Poisoning Scrofula, hard swelling and pain, intermittent chills and fever, loss of appetite, gradual emaciation. Zaojia Wan Formula:
Gleditsia Sinensis Pod (5 pods, remove black skin, coat with lard, roast until slightly yellow/burnt, remove seeds) Snail (50 seeds, stir-fry until slightly yellow) Realgar (0.5 liang, finely ground) Polygonum Multiflorum Root (1 liang) Old Soft Date (1 liang) Forsythia Fruit (1 liang) Moschus (1 fen, finely ground) borneol (1 qian, finely ground) Blister Beetle (7 seeds, stir-fry with glutinous rice until yellow, remove head, wings, feet)
Crush the above herbs into powder. Mix with previously ground ingredients evenly. Bind with refined honey, pound 200-300 times. Form pills size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 7 pills before meals with Scrophularia Decoction.
Treating Qi Poisoning Scrofula, chest oppression, neck swelling, intermittent pain, loss of appetite. Bohe Wan Formula:
Mint (4 liang, dried) Costus Root (1 liang) Forsythia Fruit (1 liang) Moschus (1 fen, finely ground) Gleditsia Sinensis Pod (10 pods, 1 chi long, if not brittle, soak in sour water for 3 days, extract juice, boil into paste) Green Tangerine Peel (1 liang, soak in water, remove white pith, dry)
Crush the above herbs into powder. Mix with Gleditsia paste, pound 200-300 times. Form pills size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 20 pills on an empty stomach and before evening meal with Schizonepeta Decoction.
Treating Qi Poisoning accumulation, growing scrofula, increasing in number, hard swelling. Apply this medicine externally to cause ulceration and discharge. Formula:
Swallow Droppings (1 fen) Mustard Beetle (1 fen) Blister Beetle (1 fen) Orpiment (1 fen) Indigo Naturalis (1 qian) Moschus (1 qian) Mercury (size of a Gleditsia seed) Lard (0.5 liang)
First grind mercury into lard until no visible particles remain. Then mix with other herbs finely. Take small bean-sized amount, place on a strainer, cover with vinegar-paste paper flower, allowing it to ulcerate and fall off naturally.
Treating Qi Poisoning Scrofula, hard nodules and pain that cannot dissipate. Take Nifen Wan Formula:
Calomel (1 qian) Lead Subcarbonate (0.5 liang, stir-fry until slightly yellow) Night Flying Sand (1 liang, slightly stir-fried) Cassia Twig (0.5 liang) Mustard Beetle (1 fen, stir-fry with glutinous rice until yellow, remove head, wings, feet) Rhinoceros Horn Shavings (3 fen)
Crush the above herbs into powder. Mix evenly. Bind with soft rice into pills size of mung beans. Take 5 pills before meals with warm wine.
Treating Qi Poisoning Scrofula, nodular swelling not yet ulcerated, to resolve internally. Formula:
Oak White Bark (3 jin, finely chopped) Clove (1.5 liang) Moschus (0.5 liang, finely ground)
Add 5 dou of water to a large cauldron. First decoct oak bark until reduced to 1 dou. Strain. Simmer slowly into a paste. Add clove and moschus. Stir evenly. Store in porcelain jar. Take half spoonful before meals with warm wine.
Treating Qi Poisoning Scrofula spreading along the neck, and flowing into the hypochondrium and axilla, with heads, painful. Take Tianling San Formula:
Human Skull Cap (1 liang, those with blood color, wash 5-7 times with mugwort water, coat with lard, roast until yellow/brown) Tiger Tibia Bone (1 liang, coat with lard, roast until yellow/brown)
Crush the above herbs into fine powder. Take 2 qian on an empty stomach daily with green onion and wine. Take again before evening meal.
Another Formula:
Snail (120 seeds, live ones, remove shell, slightly stir-fry dry) Mint (2 liang, dried) Clove (0.5 liang)
Crush the above herbs into powder. Bind with refined honey into pills size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 20 pills before meals with Schizonepeta Decoction.
Treating Qi Poisoning forming scrofula, hard as stone, painful. Liuhuang Wan Formula:
Sulfur (1 fen, finely ground) Moschus (1 fen, finely ground) Chicken Egg (1, boiled, remove white) Gleditsia Sinensis Kernel (1 fen, powdered) Mustard Beetle (2 seeds, stir-fry with glutinous rice until slightly yellow, remove head, wings, feet) Morning Glory Seed (1 fen, slightly stir-fry, powdered)
Grind the above herbs together. Bind with soft rice into pills size of mung beans. Take 5 pills before meals with Ginseng Decoction.
Another Formula:
Dove/Pigeon Droppings (1 liang) Sparrow Droppings (1 liang) Night Flying Sand (1 liang, slightly stir-fry) Litharge (1 liang)
Grind the above herbs into powder. Bind with refined honey, pound 100+ times. Form pills size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 10 pills on an empty stomach daily with porridge drink.
Another Formula:
Trogopterus Dung (3 liang, simmer with vinegar into paste) Gleditsia Sinensis Pod (10 pods, if not brittle, remove black skin, coat with lard, roast until brown, remove seeds)
Pound Gleditsia into powder. Bind with Trogopterus paste into pills size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 10 pills in the morning with Mint Decoction. Take 10 pills at night before bed with warm wine.
Another Formula:
Costus Root (0.5 liang) Black Snake (2 liang, soak in wine, remove skin and bones, roast until slightly yellow) Dried Scorpion (1 liang, slightly stir-fry) Gleditsia Thorn (2 liang, roast until yellow) Woodpecker (1 bird, burned to ash)
Crush the above herbs into powder. Bind with refined honey, pound 200-300 times. Form pills size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 15 pills per dose with Mint Decoction, three times daily.
Another Formula:
Gleditsia Sinensis Seed (1 liang, burned to ash) Oak White Bark Powder (1 liang)
Grind the above herbs finely. Take 2 qian before meals with warm wine.
Another Formula:
Gleditsia Sinensis Pod (1 jin, if not brittle, remove skin, coat with lard, roast until yellow, remove skin and seeds)
Pound the above herbs into powder. Cut 0.5 jin of lean mutton finely, grind into paste. Mix with herb powder. Form pills size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 15 pills before meals with decoction of crushed Gleditsia thorns. After one month of taking this medicine, significant efficacy will be seen.
