热毒瘰疬，是由于人体脏腑功能亢盛，气血充盈旺盛，体内积聚热邪，无法宣散疏通。热毒之气流注于颈部和腋下之间，侵蚀肌肉而生成，所以称为热毒瘰疬。
治疗肝膈部位热毒炽盛，攻冲至颈部和腋下，形成瘰疬，伴有肿痛，心神烦躁闷乱，背部肩胛处急迫疼痛，四肢活动不利，使用连翘散方。
连翘（三分） 漏芦（三分） 知母（三分） 木通（一两，锉碎） 桂心（三分） 黄芩（三分） 柴胡（微赤色，锉碎）
以上药物，捣碎过筛制成散剂。每次服用四钱，用水一中盏，煎煮至六分，滤去药渣。在饭前温服，以大便通畅为度。
治疗热毒瘰疬，痈肿疼痛，适宜用此方散热解毒，去除病根，使用玄参散方。

以上药物，捣碎过细罗制成散剂，加入已研好的药物搅拌均匀。每天空腹时，用温酒调服一钱。服用三到五剂后，小便中排出腐烂组织即为有效。
治疗热毒瘰疬，肿痛已经破溃，流出脓水，适宜服用此方消散毒气，使内部消退，使用紫参丸方。

以上药物，捣碎过罗制成粉末，加入已研好的药物搅拌均匀。另外取玄参半斤，捣碎，用酒二碗，浸泡三天，揉搓取汁，滤去药渣。用皂荚子二百枚，煨熟，捣碎过罗制成粉末。用玄参酒熬炼皂荚子末成膏状，与煎药粉末混合，制成梧桐子大小的药丸，自然晾干。
治疗热毒结成瘰疬，日夜疼痛，使用甘草丸方。
甘草（一两，炙至微赤色，锉碎） 犀角屑（一两半） 黑豆（一两，炒熟） 麝香（半两，细研） 斑蝥（半两，用糯米拌炒至米黄色为度，去头翅足）
以上药物，捣碎过罗制成粉末，用炼蜜调和，捣击三二百下，制成梧桐子大小的药丸。每天空腹时，用米汤送服七丸。服药后若感到疮口疼痛，即停止服药。其病应当……

以上药物，捣碎过罗制成粉末，用酒煮面糊调和制成药丸，如黍米大小。成人每天空腹时，用温酒送服五丸；小儿服两丸。
治疗肝肺风毒，颈部生结核，瘙痒疼痛，全身顽固性麻痹，使用皂荚丸方。
皂荚（十两，去黑皮，涂酥油炙至黄色，去子） 独活（五两） 防风（二两，去芦头） 天麻（五两） 干薄荷（五两）
以上药物，捣碎过罗制成粉末，用炼蜜调和，捣击五七百下，制成梧桐子大小的药丸。每次饭后，煎槐白皮汤送服二十丸。
治疗瘰疬夹杂风毒壅滞热邪，咽喉肿胀满闷，胸膈部不适，使用麝香散方。
麝香（一分，细研） 皂荚子（二两，炒黄，细研捣末） 腻粉（一钱） 铅霜（半两）
以上药物，共同细研制成散剂，不限时候，用薄荷汤调服一钱。
治疗热毒瘰疬，结块坚硬不消散，使用雄鼠粪丸方。
雄鼠粪（二十一枚，研） 绿豆粉（二钱） 腻粉（一钱） 斑蝥（二十一枚，去头翅足，用糯米拌炒至米黄色为度，制成粉末）
以上药物混合，研磨均匀，用冷水和药制成小豆大小的药丸。每次空腹时，用温酒送服二十丸。两天后再服一次，病根即可全部排出。
治疗热毒瘰疬，内部消退，使用地胆散方。
地胆（一分，去头翅足，用糯米拌炒至米黄色为度） 滑石（半钱） 川朴硝（一分，熬至汁液尽）
以上药物，捣碎过细罗制成散剂。每天空腹时，用米汤调服半钱。服药后在小便中感觉排出恶物，即减少少许地胆用量。十天见效。
又一方。
鸡蛋（一枚，开一个小孔） 斑蝥（二十枚，去头足，用糯米拌炒至黄色，去米制成粉末） 腻粉（一钱）
以上药物，将鸡蛋去黄留白，放入两种药粉在内，用纸盖住孔口，蒸两个炊具的时间。取出，制成小豆大小的药丸。每天五更初，用温酒送服五丸。应当泻出宿疾病根。如果服药未见效，隔日再服。

斑蝥（十枚，去头翅足，与糯米同炒至黄色） 川大黄（一两，锉碎，微炒）
以上药物，捣碎过细罗制成散剂。每次在饭前，用温酒调服一钱。

皂荚子（三百枚，不破裂者，用汤浸泡过夜，用麸皮炒黄，捣碎过罗制成粉末） 杏仁（一百枚，汤浸去皮尖及双仁，麸皮炒至微黄，捣如膏状）
以上药物，共同研磨均匀，用炼蜜和药制成梧桐子大小的药丸。每次在饭前，用米汤送服三十丸。
治疗热毒瘰疬肿痛，适宜用此方。
颗盐（一分，微炙） 黄丹（半两，微炙） 白矾（一两，烧至汁液尽） 黄柏（一两，锉碎） 白蔹（一分）
以上药物，捣碎过细罗制成散剂。先用盐水浆清洗疮口使其干净，擦干，用蛋清调匀涂在帛上贴敷。
治疗热毒瘰疬，使用斑蝥散方。
斑蝥（三枚，用糯米拌炒至黄色，去头翅足） 滑石（一分）
以上药物，捣碎过细罗制成散剂，分为两次服用。空腹时，用糯米粥饮调服。如人行走十里路后再服第二次。如果感觉小便涩痛，即煎黑豆汤服用，片刻后小肠内会排出腐烂肉片，疾病即愈。未痊愈则隔日再服。
治疗热毒瘰疬，食用鸡蛋的神效方。

以上药物，打破鸡蛋头部，倒出内容物，去黄，加入腻粉，用蛋清调和，重新装入壳内，用湿纸盖住头部，……诃黎勒……
Thermal-toxin Scrofula (Re Du Luo Li) arises from the excess condition of the internal organs and fullness of Qi and Blood. Accumulated heat within fails to be dispersed and unblocked. The thermal-toxin Qi flows into the regions between the neck and axillae, eroding the muscles to generate lesions; hence it is called Thermal-toxin Scrofula.
For treating Liver and Diaphragm Heat-Toxin excess attacking the neck and axillae, generating scrofula with swelling and pain, mental restlessness and oppression, urgency and pain in the back and shoulder blades, and impediment in the four limbs, use Lianqiao San (Forsythia Powder).
Lianqiao (Forsythiae Fructus, 3 fen) Loulu (Radix Euphorbiae Humifusae, 3 fen) Zhi Mu (Rhizoma Anemarrhenae, 3 fen) Mutong (Caulis Akebiae, 1 liang, sliced) Guixin (Cortex Cinnamomi, 3 fen) Huangqin (Radix Scutellariae, 3 fen) Chaihu (Radix Bupleuri, slightly reddish, sliced)
The above herbs are crushed, sifted, and made into a powder. Each dose is 4 qian, decocted with one zhong of water until reduced to six parts. Strain the dregs and take warm before meals. Stop when bowel movement becomes free.
For treating thermal-toxin scrofula with abscesses, swelling, and pain, suitable for using this formula to clear heat and detoxify, removing the root cause, use Xuanshen San (Scrophularia Powder).
Xuanshen (Radix Scrophulariae, 3 fen) Lianqiao (Forsythiae Fructus, 3 fen) Zhi Mu (Rhizoma Anemarrhenae, 3 fen) Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis, 3 fen) Xionghuang (Realgar, 3 fen, finely ground) Qianniuzi (Semen Phytolaccae, 3 fen, lightly stir-fried) Heidou (Semen Sojae Nigrum, 3 fen, stir-fried) Dichan (Eupolyphaga, 1 fen, remove head, wings, feet) Kongqing (Azurite, 3 fen, calcined and finely ground) Renzi (Semen Perillae, 3 fen, wrapped in mud and roasted for half a day, finely ground)
The above herbs are finely crushed, sifted through a fine sieve, and mixed evenly with the pre-ground ingredients. Take one qian daily on an empty stomach, mixed with warm wine. After three to five doses, if putrid matter is discharged in urine, it indicates efficacy.
For treating thermal-toxin scrofula where swelling and pain have ulcerated and exude pus, suitable for taking this powder to dissipate toxic vapors and allow internal resolution, use Zishen Wan (Zishen Pill).

The above herbs are crushed, sifted, and made into powder, mixed evenly with pre-ground ingredients. Separately, take Ban jin of Xuanshen (Radix Scrophulariae), crush it, soak in two bowls of wine for three days, knead to extract juice, and strain. Roast Baizaozi (Fructus Gleditsiae Sinensis) 200 pieces until cooked, crush and sift into powder. Use the Xuanshen wine to boil the Baizaozi powder into a paste, mix with the herbal powder, and form pills the size of Torreya seeds. Air-dry naturally.
For treating thermal-toxin forming scrofula with day-and-night pain, use Gancao Wan (Licorice Pill).

For treating Liver-Lung Wind-Toxin, nodules appearing on the neck, itching and pain, and generalized stubborn numbness, use Zaojiao Wan (Gleditsia Pill).
Zaojiao (Fructus Gleditsiae Sinensis, 10 liang, remove black skin, coat with butter, roast until yellow, remove seeds) Duhuo (Radix Angelicae Pubescentis, 5 liang) Fangfeng (Radix Saposhnikoviae, 2 liang, remove radicle) Tianma (Rhizoma Gastrodiae, 5 liang) Ganbohe (Herba Menthae Haplocalycis, 5 liang)
The above herbs are crushed, sifted, and made into powder. Mix with refined honey and pound 500-700 times. Form pills the size of Torreya seeds. Take twenty pills after meals with decoction of Huaimubai pi (bark of Sophora japonica tree).
For treating scrofula complicated by wind-toxin and stagnant heat, causing swollen and full throat, and chest/diaphragm discomfort, use Shexiang San (Musk Powder).
Shexiang (Moschus, 1 fen, finely ground) Zaojiaozi (Fructus Gleditsiae Sinensis, 2 liang, stir-fried yellow, finely ground to powder) Nifen (Calomel, 1 qian) Qianshuang (Plumbum Subacetatis, 0.5 liang)
The above herbs are finely ground together into a powder. Take one qian at any time, mixed with mint soup.
For treating thermal-toxin scrofula that forms hard knots not resolving, use Xiongshufen Wan (Male Rat Feces Pill).
Xiongshufen (Excrement Mus domesticus male, 21 pieces, ground) Lvdoufen (Amylum Phaseoli Radiati, 2 qian) Nifen (Calomel, 1 qian) Banmao (Mylabris, 21 pieces, remove head, wings, feet, stir-fried with glutinous rice until rice turns yellow, made into powder)
Mix the above herbs, grind evenly, and bind with cold water to form pills the size of small beans. Take twenty pills on an empty stomach with warm wine. Repeat after two days; the root of the disease will be expelled.
For treating thermal-toxin scrofula, allowing internal resolution, use Dichan San (Dichan Powder).
Dichan (Eupolyphaga, 1 fen, remove head, wings, feet, stir-fried with glutinous rice until rice turns yellow) Huashi (Talcum, 0.5 qian) Chuan Puxiao (Natrii Sulfas, 1 fen, boiled until liquid evaporates)
The above herbs are finely crushed, sifted, and made into powder. Take half a qian daily on an empty stomach with gruel drink. After ingestion, feeling foul matter discharged in urine indicates effect; reduce Dichan dosage slightly. Effective in ten days.

Jizi (Galli Ovipellis Ovum, 1 egg, make a small hole) Banmao (Mylabris, 20 pieces, remove head, feet, stir-fried with glutinous rice until yellow, remove rice, make into powder) Nifen (Calomel, 1 qian)
Take the above herbs. Remove yolk from egg, keep white. Insert the two powders inside. Cover with paper. Steam for the duration of cooking two pots of rice. Remove and form pills the size of small beans. Take five pills just after dawn with warm wine. Should expel chronic disease roots. If ineffective, repeat every other day.
Another prescription.
Banmao (Mylabris, 10 pieces, remove head, wings, feet, stir-fried with glutinous rice until yellow) Chuan Dahuang (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei, 1 liang, sliced, slightly stir-fried)
The above herbs are finely crushed, sifted, and made into powder. Take one qian before meals, mixed with warm wine.

Zaojiaozi (Fructus Gleditsiae Sinensis, 300 pieces, intact ones soaked in hot water overnight, stir-fried with bran until yellow, crushed and sifted into powder) Xingren (Semen Armeniacae Amarum, 100 pieces, soaked in water, remove skin and tips, non-double kernels, stir-fried with bran until slightly yellow, pounded into paste)
Mix the above herbs evenly, bind with refined honey to form pills the size of Torreya seeds. Take thirty pills before meals with gruel drink.
For treating thermal-toxin scrofula swelling and pain, suitable for using this formula.

The above herbs are finely crushed, sifted, and made into powder. First wash the sore with salt water solution until clean, then dry. Mix with egg white, apply onto cloth, and patch.
For treating thermal-toxin scrofula, use Banmao San (Mylabris Powder).

The above herbs are finely crushed, sifted, and made into powder. Divide into two doses. Take on an empty stomach with glutinous rice gruel drink. Take the second dose after walking ten li. If experiencing strangury, decoct Heidou (Semen Sojae Nigrum) soup to drink. Soon, putrid meat slices will be discharged from the small intestine, indicating cure. If not healed, repeat every other day.
