面部出现黑斑，是由于脏腑内有痰饮，或者皮肤受到风邪侵袭，导致气血运行不调，从而产生黑斑。五脏六腑及十二经脉的气血状况都会反映在面部。
治疗面部黑斑，使面色光洁白皙，适宜服用白瓜子丸方。
白瓜子仁（三两，微炒） 陈橘皮（三分，汤浸后去除白色内瓤并焙干） 白芷（一两） 藁本（一两） 远志（一两） 天门冬（一两半，去心并焙干） 猪脂（一两）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末，用炼蜜调和并捣击三五百下，制成梧桐子大小的药丸。每次服用，不限时间，用温酒送服三十丸。
治疗白粉刺，以及面部皮肤皱纹、定型驻颜的方剂。

以上药物，捣碎过筛细研成粉末。取鸡蛋清，与蜂蜜等量混合，揉搓成条状，装入布袋中，悬挂在门上，阴干。
治疗面部黑斑，使面色悦目洁白的方剂。
雄黄（一两半） 雌黄（一两，与雄黄一同用棉包裹，在浆水中煮一天，然后细研） 朱砂（三分） 珍珠末（三分） 腻粉（半两）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末，加入已研好的药物，再次研磨使其均匀细腻。随时取适量，与猪脂、面脂等量混合，搅拌调匀。每晚，先用热水洗脸，再涂此药。
治疗面部生出黑斑、斑点颜色深黑的方剂。

以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末。每次使用时，先用热水洗脸，临睡前用牛奶汁调和涂抹。用人乳也可以。
治疗面部多皱纹、粗糙涩滞，使人面色光泽的方剂。
朱砂（一两，细研） 雄黄（一两，细研） 鹰粪白（一合） 胡粉（二合） 水银（一两，并与胡粉一起研磨，加入少许汞膏）
以上药物，相互混合细研均匀，用面脂调和。洗净面部后，夜间涂抹，用手轻轻按摩面部至发热即止。次日早晨用暖浆水清洗。
治疗黑斑，使面色洁白的方剂。
马珂（即马齿苋籽，二两，细研） 珊瑚（一两，细研） 白附子（一两，生捣罗成粉末） 鹰粪白（一两）
以上药物，全部研磨如粉状。用人乳调和，夜间临睡前，洗净面部擦干后涂抹药物。早晨用温浆水洗去。
治疗面部黑斑，永除病根。
乌雌鸡（一只，用笼子罩住，用蛤粉和糯米喂养三天后，取其粪便二两） 胡粉（一两） 腻粉（一两） 英粉（一两）
以上药物，全部细研均匀。临睡前，洗净面部，在手掌内，用唾液调和涂抹于面部。早晨使用也可以。
去除黑斑，使皮肤光滑悦白，洗面药方。
猪蹄（二具） 白面（一升） 细辛（三分） 白术（三分） 防风（一两，去芦头） 商陆（一两半）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成散剂。先取大猪蹄一具，煮烂，去掉骨头，与猪蹄和其他散剂混合，捣成饼状，晒干。再次捣碎。
治疗面部黑斑、皮肤皱纹皲裂散乱，适宜使用此方。
白附子（二两，生用） 密陀僧（二两） 牡蛎（二两，烧成粉） 白茯苓（二两） 川芎（二两）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末，用羊乳调成膏状。夜间涂抹面部，早晨用温浆水清洗。久用不超过五六次，一层旧皮脱落，黑斑即可去除。
又一方。
白羊乳（三升） 甘草（二两，研末） 白羊肾（二两，切片去除脂膜，用水浸泡后去汁，细研）
以上药物混合，放置一夜后使用。先用醋浆水洗脸，用生布擦拭。每晚涂抹两次药，早晨用猪蹄汤清洗。

以上药物，分别细筛。先在盆内放入锻石，上面用纸覆盖，逐渐倒入热水，待湿透锻石后，在纸上留取水五升，过滤成粉末。
又一方。

以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末，用醋浸泡三天。每晚临睡前，洗净面部，薄涂此药，不要见风。

以上药物，先用醋一升，浸泡鸡蛋七日后，取出蛋清，调和丁香和胡粉，使其均匀。用浆水洗脸，薄涂此药。
又一方。
羊胆（两个） 牛胆（一个，均取汁液）
以上用醋二合，混合煎煮二三沸。夜间卧床时涂抹。
又一方。
杏仁（一两，汤浸去皮，炙烤后研成膏） 腻粉（半两）
以上药物，用鸡蛋清调和均匀，夜间敷面，经过一夜后擦去，效果很好。
治疗面部黑斑、黑痣的方剂。
李子仁（三两，汤浸去皮，细研）
以上用鸡蛋清调和如稀膏状。每晚涂抹面部，到第二天早晨，用淡浆水清洗，随后涂抹胡粉。不超过五六天见效。注意避风。
又一方。
杏仁（三两，汤浸去皮，研如膏状）
以上用鸡蛋清调和。每晚薄涂，不超过三五次即见效。
又一方。
白附子（三两，生用）
捣碎过筛成粉末，用酒调和，临睡前涂抹。
又一方。
桂心（一两） 石盐（一两）
以上药物，捣碎过筛成粉末，每晚用蜂蜜调和涂抹。
又一方。
羊胫骨（半斤，晒至极干）
捣碎过筛成粉末，用鸡蛋清调和敷面。早晨用稻米泔水清洗。不超过五七天有显著效果。
治疗面部黑斑，消除瘢痕、去除黑痣的方剂。
荠苨（二两） 桂心（三分）
以上药物，捣细过筛成散剂。每次服用，用醋浆水调下一钱，每日三次。
治疗斑点，兼去瘢痕的方剂。
云母粉（一两） 杏仁（一两，汤浸去皮尖）
以上药物，细研，放入银器中，用黄牛乳拌和，稍微蒸过。夜间卧床时涂抹面部，早晨用浆水清洗。
又一方。
桃花（一升） 杏花（一升）
以上药物，用东流水浸泡七日，依次用来洗脸。洗三七遍效果极佳。
治疗斑点方。
皂荚子（末半两） 杏仁（半两，汤浸去皮尖，研如膏）
以上药物，都研磨均匀。每晚，用唾液调和涂抹。
又一方。
密陀僧（二两，细研）
以上用人乳汁调和涂抹面部，每晚使用。
治疗面部不洁净方。
朱砂（一两，细研）
以上用白蜜调和，夜间临睡前涂抹。早晨用醋浆水清洗。
Facial melanosis (facial dark spots) arises from phlegm-fluid retention within the Zang-Fu organs, or from wind-pathogens invading the skin, leading to disharmony of Qi and Blood. The condition of the Five Zang and Six Fu organs, as well as the Twelve Meridians, is reflected on the face.
To treat facial melanosis and achieve a radiant, white complexion, the Baiguazi Wan (White Melon Seed Pill) formula is suitable.
Bai Guazi Ren (Semen Cucurbitae, 3 liang, lightly stir-fried) Chen Jupi (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, 3 qian, soaked in water, white pith removed, dried) Baizhi (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae, 1 liang) Gaoben (Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong, 1 liang) Yuanzhi (Radix Polygalae, 1 liang) Tianmendong (Radix Asparagi, 1.5 liang, heart removed, dried) Zhizhu (Pig Fat, 1 liang)
The above herbs are crushed, sifted into powder, mixed with refined honey, and pounded for three to five hundred strokes until uniform. Form pills the size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take thirty pills at any time, washed down with warm wine.
For treating white comedones (whiteheads), facial wrinkles, and for anti-aging/skin firming:
Baiji (Rhizoma Bletillae, 2.5 liang) Baizhu (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, 5 liang) Baizhi (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae, 2 liang) Xixin (Herba Asari, 2 liang) Baifuzi (Rhizoma Typhonii, 2 liang, raw use) Fangfeng (Radix Saposhnikoviae, 2 liang, radix removed) Baishizhi (Terra Alba, 2 liang, finely ground) Hupo (Electrum, half liang, powdered) Zhenzhu (Margarita, half liang, powdered)
The above herbs are crushed, sifted, and finely ground. Mix with egg white and honey in equal parts, knead into strips, place in a cloth bag, and hang on a door to dry in the shade.
For treating facial melanosis to achieve a bright, white complexion:
Xionghuang (Realgar, 1.5 liang) Cihuang (Orpiment, 1 liang, wrapped in cotton with Xionghuang, boiled in starchy water for one day, then finely ground) Zhusha (Cinnabar, 3 qian) Zhenzhu (Margarita, 3 qian, powdered) Nifen (Calomelas, half liang)
The above herbs are crushed, sifted into powder, combined with the pre-ground ingredients, and milled until uniformly fine. Mix with pig fat and flour paste in equal parts. Every night, after washing the face with hot water, apply this preparation.
For treating the emergence of black spots and deep-colored macules:
Baifuzi (Rhizoma Typhonii, 1 liang, raw use) Bailian (Rhizoma Smilacis Chinae, half liang) Baizhi (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae, half liang) Mituoseng (Litharge, half liang) Chi Fuling (Poria with Red Host, half liang) Hufen (Lead Carbonate, half liang)
The above herbs are crushed, sifted into powder. At each application, wash the face with hot water first. Before retiring, apply mixed with cow's milk juice. Human breast milk may also be used.
For treating facial wrinkles, roughness, and dryness, to restore luster to the complexion:
Zhusha (Cinnabar, 1 liang, finely ground) Xionghuang (Realgar, 1 liang, finely ground) Yingfenbai (White Excrement of Hawk, 1 he) Hufen (Lead Carbonate, 2 he) Shuiyin (Mercurius, 1 liang, ground together with Hufen and a small amount of mercury ointment)
Mix the above herbs thoroughly until uniform. Blend with flour paste. After cleansing the face, apply at night. Gently massage the face with hands until warm, then stop. Wash off the next morning with warm starchy water.
For treating melanosis to achieve a pure white complexion:
Ma Ke (Semen Portulacae, 2 liang, finely ground) Shanhu (Corallium, 1 liang, finely ground) Baifuzi (Rhizoma Typhonii, 1 liang, raw, crushed and sifted) Yingfenbai (White Excrement of Hawk, 1 liang)
Grind all ingredients into a fine powder. Mix with human breast milk. Before retiring at night, cleanse and dry the face, then apply. Wash off the next morning with warm starchy water.
For permanently eliminating the root cause of facial melanosis:
Wuci Ji (Female Black Chicken, one; caged and fed with蛤粉 [Concha Meretrix] and glutinous rice for three days, then collect two liang of feces) Hufen (Lead Carbonate, 1 liang) Nifen (Calomelas, 1 liang) Yingfen (Powdered ingredient, 1 liang)
Grind all ingredients uniformly. Before retiring, cleanse the face. In the palm, mix with saliva and apply to the face. Can also be applied in the morning.
A facial cleansing formula to remove melanosis, leaving skin smooth and bright:
Zhu Ti (Pig Trotters, two pieces) Baimian (Wheat Flour, one sheng) Xixin (Herba Asari, 3 qian) Baizhu (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, 3 qian) Fangfeng (Radix Saposhnikoviae, 1 liang, radix removed) Shanglu (Radix Phytolaccae, 1.5 liang)
Crush and sift into a powder. Boil one large pig trotter until tender, remove bones, and combine with the trotters and powder. Pound into cakes, sun-dry, and pound again.
For treating facial melanosis, wrinkled, cracked, and rough skin:
Baifuzi (Rhizoma Typhonii, 2 liang, raw use) Mituoseng (Litharge, 2 liang) Muli (Concha Ostreae, 2 liang, calcined to powder) Baifuling (Poria, 2 liang) Xiong (Radix Chuanxiong, 2 liang)
Crush and sift into powder. Mix with goat milk to form a paste. Apply at night, wash off the next morning with warm starchy water. After several applications (not exceeding five or six times), the outer layer of skin will peel off, and the melanosis will be removed.
Another prescription:
Baiyang Ru (Goat Milk, 3 sheng) Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae, 2 liang, powdered) Baiyang Shen (Goat Kidney, 2 liang, sliced, fat membrane removed, soaked in water, juice discarded, finely ground)
Mix the above ingredients and let stand overnight before use. First wash the face with vinegar-starchy water, wipe with plain cloth. Apply medicine twice nightly, wash with pig trotter decoction in the morning.
Another prescription:
Yimucao Hui (Ash of Motherwort, 5 sheng) Luoli Hui (Ash of Tribulus, 3 sheng) Duanshi (Calcined Alumen, one dou)
Sift each ash separately. Place Duanshi in a basin, cover with paper, and gradually add hot water until the alumen is saturated. Collect five sheng of the liquid through the paper, filter, and process into powder.
Another prescription:
Baifan (Alumen, 3 qian) Huang (Sulfur, 3 qian, finely ground) Baifuzi (Rhizoma Typhonii, 3 qian, raw use)
Crush and sift into powder. Soak in vinegar for three days. Before retiring, cleanse the face and apply thinly. Avoid exposure to wind.
Another prescription:
Jizi (Egg, three) Dingxiang (Flos Caryophylli, 1 liang, powdered) Hufen (Lead Carbonate, 1 liang, finely ground)
Soak eggs in one sheng of vinegar for seven days. Take the egg white, mix with Dingxiang and Hufen until uniform. Wash face with starchy water, apply thinly.
Another prescription:
Yangdan (Sheep Gallbladder, two) Niudan (Ox Gallbladder, one; extract juices from both)
Mix with two he of vinegar, boil for two or three boils. Apply before sleeping.
Another prescription:
Xingren (Semen Armeniacae Amarum, 1 liang, soaked in water, peeled, roasted, ground into paste) Nifen (Calomelas, half liang)
Mix evenly with egg white. Apply at night, wipe off after overnight. Very effective.
For treating facial melanosis and black nevi:
Liziren (Semen Pruni Persicae, 3 liang, soaked in water, peeled, finely ground)
Mix with egg white to a thin paste. Apply nightly. Wash off at dawn with light starchy water, then apply Hufen. Effective within five to six days. Avoid wind.
Another prescription:
Xingren (Semen Armeniacae Amarum, 3 liang, soaked in water, peeled, ground into paste)
Mix with egg white. Apply thinly nightly. Effective within three to five applications.
Another prescription:
Xionghuang (Realgar, 1 liang, finely ground)
Mix with pig fat. Apply nightly. Effective.
Another prescription:
Baifuzi (Rhizoma Typhonii, 3 liang, raw use)
Crush and sift into powder. Mix with wine. Apply before retiring.
Another prescription:
Guixin (Cortex Cinnamomi, 1 liang) Shiyan (Rock Salt, 1 liang)
Crush and sift into powder. Mix with honey and apply nightly.
Another prescription:
Yangjinggu (Os Tibiae Ovis, half jin, dried extremely)
Crush and sift into powder. Mix with egg white and apply. Wash with rice water in the morning. Significant effect within five to seven days.
For treating facial melanosis, eliminating scars, and removing black moles:
Qini (Radix Adenophorae, 2 liang) Guixin (Cortex Cinnamomi, 3 qian)
Crush and sift into powder. Take one qian mixed with vinegar-starchy water, three times daily.
For treating spots and removing scars:
Yunmu Fen (Muscovite Powder, 1 liang) Xingren (Semen Armeniacae Amarum, 1 liang, soaked in water, peeled and cored)
Finely grind, place in a silver vessel, mix with yellow ox milk, steam slightly. Apply before sleeping, wash off with starchy water in the morning.
Another prescription:
Taohua (Flos Persicae, one sheng) Xinghua (Flos Armeniacae, one sheng)
Soak in running water from the east for seven days. Use sequentially to wash the face. Washing thirty-seven times is excellent.
For treating spots:
Zaojiazi (Fructus Gleditsiae Sinensis, half liang, powdered) Xingren (Semen Armeniacae Amarum, half liang, soaked in water, peeled and cored, ground into paste)
Grind uniformly. Mix with saliva and apply nightly.
Another prescription:
Mituoseng (Litharge, 2 liang, finely ground)
Mix with human breast milk and apply to the face nightly.
For treating unclean complexion:
Zhusha (Cinnabar, 1 liang, finely ground)
Mix with white honey. Apply before retiring. Wash off with vinegar-starchy water in the morning.
