面部生疮，是由于体内有热而体表虚弱，风湿之邪乘虚侵袭所致。之所以如此，是因为肺主气，外合皮毛；脾主内气。
治疗面部的风疮，伴有黄水流出，或痒或痛，宜用松脂膏方。
药材：松脂（一两，研细）、石盐（一两，锉碎）、杏仁（一两，热水浸泡后去皮尖，研成泥状）、蜂蜜（三合）、蜂蜡（一两）、乳香。

Facial sores arise from internal heat combined with external deficiency, allowing wind-dampness pathogens to invade. This occurs because the Lung governs Qi and corresponds to the skin and hair (mao-pi), while the Spleen governs internal Qi.
For treating wind sores on the face accompanied by flowing yellow fluid, itching or pain, use Pine Resin Ointment Formula (Songzhi Gao Fang).
Ingredients: Pine Resin (Songzhi) [1 liang, ground], Rock Salt (Shiyan) [1 liang, crushed], Apricot Kernel (Xingren) [1 liang, soaked in hot water, skin and tip removed, ground into paste], Honey (Fengmi) [3 he], Beeswax (Mila) [1 liang], Frankincense (Ruxiang).
Preparation and Administration: Wash and finely grind the pine resin, rock salt, and frankincense. Then add apricot kernels and castor seeds (Bima) and grind until uniform. Boil with honey and beeswax to form an ointment. Spread onto cloth and apply as a plaster.
Formula for treating toxic heat malignant sores on the face.
Ingredients: Lead Carbonate (Hufen) [0.5 liang], Phellodendron Bark (Huangbai) [0.5 liang, crushed], Coptis Rhizome (Huanglian) [0.5 liang, mustards removed].
Preparation and Administration: Pound and sieve the ingredients into powder. Mix with facial suet (Mianzhi) and apply two to three times daily.
Formula for treating wind-toxin malignant sores on the face.
Ingredients: Sulfur (Huanghuang) [0.5 fen, finely ground], Apricot Kernel (Xingren) [1 fen, soaked in hot water, skin and tip removed], Lead Carbonate (Hufen) [1 fen].
Preparation and Administration: Pound all ingredients together until thoroughly mixed. Blend with lard from the twelfth lunar month and apply two to three times daily.
Another formula.
Ingredients: Lead Carbonate (Hufen) [2 liang], Mercury (Shuiyin) [2 liang, mixed with lead carbonate and a little water, ground until mercury stars disappear], Pine Resin (Songzhi) [2 liang], Lard from the twelfth lunar month [4 liang].
Preparation and Administration: First, melt the pine resin in the lard. Add the mercury and lead carbonate mixture, stir until uniform, allow to cool, and then apply.
Formula for treating malignant sores on the face, including sweet sores (Tianchuang) that exude yellow fluid and cause ulceration upon contact with flesh.
Ingredients: Lead Carbonate (Hufen) [1 liang], Coptis Rhizome (Huanglian) [1 liang, mustards removed], Japonica Rice (Jingmi) [0.5 liang], Adzuki Bean (Chixiaodou) [0.5 liang], Mercury (Shuiyin) [1 liang, mixed with lead carbonate and a little water, ground until mercury stars disappear].
Preparation and Administration: Pound and sieve the ingredients into powder. Add the lead carbonate and mercury mixture and grind until uniform. Mix with pure sesame oil as needed and apply two to three times daily.
Formula for treating wind sores on the face.
Ingredients: Sulfur (Huanghuang) [1 liang], Moschus (Shexiang) [0.5 liang], Snail Shell (Woniuke) [1 liang], Lead Carbonate (Hufen) [1 liang], Calomel/Nigrum Tinctorium (Nifen) [1 liang].
Preparation and Administration: Finely grind all ingredients until uniform. Mix with facial suet (Mianzhi) and apply.
Formula for treating spreading red sores on the face, resembling prickly heat or wind-rash, causing full-face redness and pain.
Ingredients: Coptis Rhizome (Huanglian) [0.5 liang, mustards removed], Scutellaria Root (Huangqin) [0.5 liang], Phellodendron Bark (Huangbai) [0.5 liang, crushed], Calomel/Nigrum Tinctorium (Nifen) [1 fen].
Preparation and Administration: Pound and sieve the ingredients into powder. Add the calomel and grind until uniform. Mix with oil, wax, and facial suet to form a paste. At night, before sleep, wash the face with warm fermented grain water (Jiangshui) first.
Ointment for facial sores and scars, used for cosmetic restoration.
Ingredients: Sesame Oil (Mayou) [0.5 jin], Frankincense (Ruxiang) [1 liang, finely ground], Pine Node (Songjie) [1 liang, crushed], Pine Resin (Songzhi) [2 liang], Yellow Beeswax (Huangla) [2 liang], Bletilla Tuber (Baiji) [1 liang, crushed].
Preparation and Administration: Pound Shenmajin (Shengma) and Baijian into fine powder. First, fry the pine nodes and bletilla tuber in sesame oil until they turn yellow-red. Filter out the dregs. Then add the pine resin and yellow beeswax [to melt and mix] and apply as a plaster.
Another formula.
Ingredients: Black Snake (Wushe) [2 liang, burned to ash].
Preparation and Administration: Grind finely into powder. Mix with lard from the twelfth lunar month and apply; this yields good results.
