治疗风狂妄乱、产生幻觉、神情恍惚不定，发作时想要奔跑。适宜服用犀角散方。

上件药物，捣筛为粗散。每服三钱，用水一中盏，煎至六分，去渣滓。不拘时候，温服。
虎睛（一对，酒浸一夜，微炙） 白茯苓（一两） 桂心（三分） 防风（三分，去芦头） 独活（半两） 附子（三分，炮裂，烧灰）。
上件药物，捣筛为细散。每服一钱，用温水调下。不拘时候。

上件药物，捣筛为细散，加入已研好的药物，共同研磨均匀。每服，不拘时候，用薄荷温水或消梨汁调下一钱。
治疗风狂病，喜怒无常，或想要狂走，自己不能察觉知晓。适宜服用牛黄丸方。
牛黄（一分，细研） 远志（一两，去心） 白龙骨（一两） 铁粉（一两，细研） 龙脑（一钱，细研） 甘菊花（三分） 犀角屑（一两） 防风（一两，去芦头） 麦门冬（一两半，去心焙） 朱砂（一两，细研，水飞过）。
上件药物，捣筛为末，加入已研好的药物，共同研磨均匀。用炼蜜调和，捣三二百杵，制成梧桐子大小的丸剂。不拘时候，温水送下二十丸。忌食生血之物。
治疗风狂乱跑，不可禁止的方剂。
生铁（二十斤，以水二斗煮取一斗，去铁渣） 玄参（一两） 防风（一两半，去芦头） 白茯苓（一两半）。
上件药物，捣筛为散，放入铁汁中煮取五升，去渣滓，加入竹沥和匀。不拘时候，温服二合。
治疗风热气盛，烦躁如狂，适宜服用此方。
熟黄瓜（一枚，水五合，拧取汁） 竹沥（三合） 川朴硝（二两，细研） 蜜（一合）。
上件药物，相和令匀。不拘时候，温服二合。
Wind-madness is caused by wind pathogenic factors invading and merging with the Yang aspect. When wind pathogens enter the blood vessels, they cause an imbalance of deficiency and excess in the Yin and Yang Qi of the body. If there is a condition of one excess and one deficiency, accompanied by sorrow, it leads to wind-madness. During attacks, patients may weep and cry excessively, or suddenly sing and laugh, or boast of their own wisdom and virtue, or run wildly without avoiding fire or water. It is appropriate to take Yuanzhi San (Polygalae Radix Powder).
Yuanzhi (Radix Polygalae) (1 liang, remove heart) Fangfeng (Radix Saposhnikoviae) (0.5 liang, remove rhizome head) Guixin (Cortex Cinnamomi) (0.5 liang) Fushen (Poria with Hostwood) (1 liang) Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae) (0.5 liang, honey-fried until slightly red, crushed) Duhuo (Radix Angelicae Pubescentis) (0.5 liang, remove sprouts) Huangqin (Radix Scutellariae) (3 fen).
The above ingredients are pounded and sifted into a coarse powder. Take 3 qian per dose, decoct with 1 zhong zhan (approx. 200ml) of water until reduced to 6 fen (approx. 120ml), strain, and drink warm at any time.
For treating wind-madness with delusions, hallucinations, and unstable mental state, where the patient desires to run during attacks, it is appropriate to take Xijiao San (Rhinoceros Horn Powder).

The above ingredients are pounded and sifted into a coarse powder. Take 3 qian per dose, decoct with 1 zhong zhan of water until reduced to 6 fen, strain, and drink warm at any time.
For treating wind-madness with irregular attacks, not avoiding fire or water, it is appropriate to take Huqing San (Tiger Eye Powder).

For treating wind-madness with incoherent speech, heart-heat causing wild running, it is appropriate to take Zhenzhu San (Pearl Powder).
