Treats intestinal abscess (Changyong), breast abscess (Ruyong), and back carbuncle (Fabei), as well as all types of toxic swellings; upon ingestion, the lesions are transformed into water and dissipate.
Radix et Rhizoma Rhamni Purshianae (Badou) [22 seeds, skin, membrane, and heart removed, stir-fried until oil is released, finely ground]; Radix et Rhizoma Rhei (Dahuang) [steamed, dried, 1 liang 1 fen]; Cornu Rinocerontis (Xijiao); Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Danggui) [radicle removed].
The above ingredients are processed into a fine powder. The Badou powder is added uniformly, and the mixture is kneaded with refined honey to form pills the size of Sophora japonica seeds. Each dose consists of 3 pills, taken with warm water. If diarrhea occurs two or three times, consume cold congee to stop it. If no diarrhea occurs, increase the dose to 4 or 5 pills. The initial dose aims for a brisk purgation, after which the number of pills should be gradually reduced until slight loose stools are achieved. Dosage for the elderly and children should be adjusted according to judgment. Discontinue when swelling subsides and bowel movements become normal and moist. Passage of yellow fluid and slight wrinkling/color change at the swollen site indicate dissipation of the pathogen. All toxic swellings can be resolved internally; its efficacy is miraculous and beyond description. Avoid hot noodles, garlic, pork, asparagus, fish, kelp, Chinese cabbage, raw/cold foods, and sticky foods.
