海螵蛸（河水煮七次，内外极淡外度）白硼砂二钱 炉甘石（倾银罐内 红碎，入童便
内七次）用三钱 冰片三片 龙胆草二两（水洗净入瓷壶内，水五盅煮至二盅，滤过再熬，
成膏如蜜）
以胆草膏并前药研匀，搓如线香样，外以官粉为衣，贮于鹅翎管内，用时以骨角簪沾药
点之。
枸杞一斤（以酒润作四分） 一分小茴（炒） 一分芝麻（炒） 一分川椒（炒） 一
分枸杞（独炒） 加熟地一两（捣烂） 白术一两（土炒） 甘草一两 白菊二两
共研末，炼蜜为丸，梧子大。空心每服五、七十丸，盐汤送下。
归身一钱 枳壳 菊花 丹皮 白芍 防风 薄荷叶各八分 川芎 生地 白蒺藜各一
钱柴胡六分 荆芥穗六分 灯心三十根
食远水煎服。
（因忧起者多） 羌活 川芎 蜜蒙花 谷精草 木贼 杜仲 青盐 菟丝子 草决明
各一两 人参四钱
各切成片，用黑羊肝胆入砂锅内，加好酒三壶煮干，再加三壶，煮三炷香，去药不用，
只留肝胆，铜刀切片，新瓦焙干，研末炼蜜为丸，如梧子大。每服三钱，空心滚水下。
【洗烂眼边】
方一：

将龙胆草膏与前几种药物研匀，搓成线香形状，外面裹上官粉作为外衣，储存在鹅毛管中。使用时用骨角簪蘸取药粉点入眼中。
方二：
枸杞一斤（用酒润湿后分成四份），其中一份小茴香（炒制），一份芝麻（炒制），一份川椒（炒制），一份枸杞（单独炒制）。加入熟地黄一两（捣烂），白术一两（土炒），甘草一两，白菊花二两。
共研为细末，用炼蜜制成梧桐子大小的丸剂。空腹时每次服用五、七十丸，用盐汤送服。
方三：
当归身一钱，枳壳、菊花、牡丹皮、白芍、防风、薄荷叶各八分，川芎、生地黄、白蒺藜各一钱，柴胡六分，荆芥穗六分，灯心草三十根。
饭后较远时间用水煎服。
方四（多因忧思引起者适用）：
羌活、川芎、蜜蒙花、谷精草、木贼、杜仲、青盐、菟丝子、草决明各一两，人参四钱。
将上述药材切成片，用黑羊的肝和胆放入砂锅中，加入好酒三壶煮干，再加三壶酒，煮约三炷香的时间。取出药材不用，只保留煮过的羊肝胆，用铜刀切片，在新瓦上焙干，研为细末，用炼蜜制成梧桐子大小的丸剂。每次服用三钱，空腹时用滚开水送服。
方五：
黑羊肝一副，切碎，放入砂锅中干炒。趁热气熏蒸眼睛，待肝煮熟后随即食用，边吃边熏蒸，务必将整副肝吃完，隔天视力即可恢复（选用黑毛乌肉的黑羊为佳）。
[Strange Formulas for Washing Rotten Eyelids]
Formula 1:
Haimiaoxiao (Cuttlebone) [Hai Piao Xiao, Cuttlebone] (boiled seven times in river water until the color inside and out becomes extremely pale) 2 qian, Baipengsha (White Borax) [Borax] 2 qian. Luganshi (Calamine) [Lapis Calaminaris] (placed in a silver jar, heated until red and fragmented, then soaked in children's urine seven times) 3 qian, Bingpian (Borneol) [Borneolum Syntheticum] 3 pieces. Longdancao (Gentiana Root) [Radix Gentianae] 2 liang (washed with water, placed in a porcelain pot, boiled with five zhong of water until reduced to two zhong, filtered, and further concentrated into a honey-like paste).
Mix the Gentiana paste with the aforementioned drugs evenly, roll into the shape of incense sticks, coat externally with Guanfen (Refined Starch) [Majis Fen, Refined Starch], store in goose quill tubes. When used, dip a bone horn hairpin into the powder and apply it to the eyes.
Formula 2:
Gouqi (Goji Berry) [Fructus Lycii] 1 jin (moistened with wine and divided into four parts); one part Xiaohui (Fennel Seed) [Semen Foeniculi] (stir-fried), one part Zhima (Sesame Seed) [Sesamum Fructus] (stir-fried), one part Chuanjiao (Sichuan Pepper) [Pericarpium Zanthoxyli] (stir-fried), one part Gouqi (Goji Berry) [Fructus Lycii] (stir-fried separately). Add Shudi (Prepared Rehmannia Root) [Radix Rehmanniae Preparata] 1 liang (mashed), Baizhu (Atractylodes Rhizome) [Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae] 1 liang (soil-stir-fried), Gancao (Licorice Root) [Radix Glycyrrhizae] 1 liang, Baiju (Chrysanthemum Flower) [Flos Chrysanthemi] 2 liang.
Grind all into fine powder, make pills with refined honey, size of wu zi (walnut seeds). Take 50-70 pills on an empty stomach, washed down with salt water decoction.
Formula 3:
Guishen (Angelica Sinensis Root Heart) [Radix Angelicae Sinensis] 1 qian, Zhike (Bitter Orange Fruit) [Fructus Aurantii Amari], Juhua (Chrysanthemum Flower) [Flos Chrysanthemi], Danpi (Moutan Cortex) [Cortex Moutan], Baishao (White Peony Root) [Radix Paeoniae Alba], Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root) [Radix Saposhnikoviae], Boheye (Mint Leaf) [Herba Menthae Haplocalycis] each 8 fen; Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Rhizome) [Rhizoma Chuanxiong], Shengdi (Rehmannia Root) [Radix Rehmanniae], Baijili (Tribulus Fruit) [Fructus Tribuli] each 1 qian; Chaihu (Bupleurum Root) [Radix Bupleuri] 6 fen, Jingjisui (Schizonepeta Spike) [Herba Schizonepetae] 6 fen, Dengxin (Juncus Medulla) [Medulla Junci] 30 stalks.
Decoct in water and take after meals (at a considerable time after eating).
Formula 4 (Suitable for cases arising from worry):
Qianghuo (Notopterygium Rhizome) [Rhizoma et Radix Notopterygii], Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Rhizome) [Rhizoma Chuanxiong], Mimenghua (Galega Flower) [Flos Galegae], Gujingcao (Euphrasia Herb) [Herba Euphrasiae], Muzei (Equisetum Stem) [Herba Equiseti], Duzhong (Eucommia Bark) [Cortex Eucommiae], Qingyan (Rock Salt) [Sal Rubrum], Tusizi (Dodder Seed) [Semen Cuscutae], Caojueming (Cassia Seed) [Semen Cassiae] each 1 liang, Renshen (Ginseng Root) [Radix Ginseng] 4 qian.
Slice the herbs, place black sheep liver and gallbladder in a clay pot, add three hu of good wine and boil until dry. Add another three hu of wine and boil for the duration of three incense sticks. Remove the herbs and discard them; keep only the cooked liver and gallbladder. Slice with a copper knife, dry-roast on new tiles, grind into powder, and make pills with refined honey, size of wu zi. Take 3 qian per dose on an empty stomach, washed down with boiling water.
Formula 5:
One whole black sheep liver, chopped finely, stir-fried dry in a clay pot. Steam the eyes over the heat while cooking. Eat the liver as it cooks, continuing to steam the eyes, until the entire liver is consumed. Vision will likely recover the next day (black sheep with black wool and dark meat are preferred).
Formula 6:
Luganshi (Calamine) [Lapis Calaminaris] 5 fen, Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome) [Rhizoma Coptidis] 5 fen, Tonglv (Verdigris) [Viriditas Cupri] 3 fen.
Pound together into fragments, soak in clear water and leave exposed to dew overnight. Wash frequently for three days to achieve cure.
