Answer: Childbirth and bed rest consume the meridians, and the pulse has not yet stabilized. Overexertion damages and disturbs [the body], causing sudden severe hemorrhage (Beng) with continuous dripping. Alternatively, immoderate consumption of salty and sour foods damages and corrodes Ying and Wei (Defensive and Nutritive Qi), also transforming into Beng Zhong (a condition characterized by non-menstrual uterine bleeding). If there is fullness and pain in the lower abdomen, the Liver channel is already damaged, making it difficult to treat. One should immediately take Gujing Wan (Solidify the Menses Pill).

Grind the above into powder. Mix with paste made from aged rice to form pills the size of tung tree seeds. Take thirty pills with warm wine before meals; taking them with rice drink is also acceptable.

Grind the above into coarse powder. Each dose takes four qian. Add one and a half cups of water and one fen of Zhuru (Bambusae Caulis in Taenia). Decoct until six parts remain. Remove the dregs and take warm. Do not restrict the time.
Answer: Stagnant blood scatters into the Spleen and Stomach. When the Spleen receives it, it cannot transport and transform essence and micro-nutrients, leading to distension and fullness. When the Stomach receives it, it cannot receive and digest food and fluids, generating vomiting and counterflow qi. Physicians who do not understand this may use ordinary anti-emetic medicines to treat it. Since the disease and medicine are unrelated, this further damages the Righteous Qi (Zheng Qi), making the illness harder to cure.
