紫石英（醋 淬七次） 附子（炮） 狗脊（制净） 川芎 鹿茸（醋炙，各一两） 香附（醋煮，二两。
以上并为末）
用醋煮糯米糊丸，如梧子大。每服七十丸，温酒下。
养气活血丹 治劳伤冲任，赤白带下。
大艾叶（炒焦，取末，五两） 干姜（炒末，二两半）
上二味，用醋二升，无灰酒二升，生姜自然汁二升，将姜、艾末调于银器，用慢火熬成膏。
附子 白芍药 白术 橘红 川芎 当归 巴戟（去心，糯米炒） 人参 五味子（各二两）
上为细末，入前膏内，并炒热熟白面二两半，和为剂，杵千下，丸梧子大。每服五十丸，
温酒或米饮下。
茱萸浴汤 治下焦虚冷，脐腹疼痛，带下五色，月水崩漏，淋沥不断。
吴茱萸（汤泡） 杜仲（炒去丝） 蛇床子 五味子 丁皮（各一两） 木香 丁香（各半两）
上锉如麻豆大，每用半两，以生绢袋盛，水三大碗，煎数沸，乘热熏下部，通手淋浴，
早晚二次熏洗。
〔垣〕坐药龙盐膏
丁香 木香 川乌头（炮，各一钱半） 全蝎（五枚） 龙骨 当归尾 香 炒黄盐
酒防己 肉桂 红豆（各二钱） 玄胡索（五钱） 浓朴（三钱） 良姜 木通（各一钱）
枯矾（半钱）
上为末，炼蜜丸弹子大，绵裹留丝在外，纳阴户内。
又方 胜阴丹。为上药力小，再取三钱，内加行性热药。
三柰子 川乌头 大椒（各五分） 柴胡 羌活（各二钱） 全蝎（三个） 大蒜（一钱）
破故纸（与蒜同焙，一钱） 甘松（三分） 升麻 枯白矾（各二分） 麝香（少许）
上为细末，同前法用制。
又方 回阳丹
全蝎 升麻 甘松（各二分） 草乌头 羌活（各三分） 大椒 三柰子 荜茇 枯矾（各五
分） 川乌头 柴胡（各七分） 水蛭（三条，炒焦） 虻虫（三个，去翅足，炒） 大蒜
破故纸（各二钱） 炒黄盐（一钱，必用之药，去之则不效）
上为极细末，根据前制如指尖大，用绵裹纳阴户中，觉脐下暖为效。
酒煮当归丸 治癫痫，白带，下疰香港脚，腰以下如在冰雪中，以火焙炕，重浓绵衣盖
上，犹冷不任，寒之极也。面白如枯鱼之象，肌如刀削，消瘦之速也。小便不止，与白带
长流而不禁固，自不知觉。面白目青蓝如菜色，目KT KT 无所见，身重如山，行步欹侧，不
能安地，腿膝枯细，大便秘结，口不能言，无力之极。食不下，心下痞，烦心懊 ，不任
其苦。面停垢，背恶寒，小便遗而不知，此上中下三阳真气俱竭，故哕呕不止，胃寒之
极也。其脉沉厥紧而涩，按之空虚，若脉洪大而涩，按之无力，犹为中寒之证，况按之
虚空者乎。按之不鼓，是为阴寒之极也，其
空虚乃气血俱虚之极也。
当归（一两） 香（半两） 黑附子（炮去皮脐） 良姜（各七钱）
上四味，锉如麻豆大，以好酒一升半，同煎煮至酒尽为度，炭火焙干，同为极细末，入∶
炒黄盐 丁香（各半两） 全蝎（三钱） 柴胡（二钱） 升麻根 木香（各一钱） 苦楝子
甘草（炙，各半钱） 玄胡索（四钱）
上与前四味药末，同为细末，酒煮面糊为丸，如桐子大。每服二十丸，空心宿食消尽，
淡醋汤下。忌油腻、冷物、酒、面。
当归附子汤 治脐下冷痛，赤白带下。
柴胡（七分） 良姜 干姜 附子（各一钱） 升麻 蝎梢（各五分） 甘草（炙，六分）
炒黄盐（三分） 当归（二钱） 黄柏（少许，上件并为粗末）
上用五钱，水二盏，煎至一盏，去滓热服。为丸亦得。
上炒盐例。东垣回阳丹注云∶必用炒黄盐，无则不效。盖寒疝之要药也。
〔排脓〕
治带下，并肠有败脓淋露不已，腥秽殊甚，遂至脐腹更增冷痛。此盖败脓血所致，卒
无已期，须以此排脓。
白芷（一两） 单叶红蜀葵根（二两） 白芍药 白矾（各半两） 矾烧枯另研，余为末，同以蜡
丸如桐子大。空肚及饭前米饮下十丸或十五丸。候脓尽，仍别以补药佐之。
〔大〕伏龙肝散 治妇人赤白带下久不瘥，肌瘦瘁黄。有人经年崩漏不止，诸药不
效，脉濡微，与此伏龙肝散，兼白矾丸服之愈。（方见前。）
白矾丸
白矾（四两） 附子（二两） 黄狗骨头（四两，烧灰，以上并为末）
上粥丸桐子大，每服三十丸。
〔消瘀血〕
〔仲〕问曰∶妇人年五十所，病下利数十日不止，暮即发热，少腹里急腹满，手掌
烦热，唇口干燥，何也？师曰∶此病属带下。何以故？曾经半产，瘀血在少腹不去。何以
知之？其证唇口干燥，故知之。当以温经汤主之。
温经汤
吴茱萸（三两） 当归 芎 芍药 人参 桂枝 阿胶 牡丹皮 生姜 甘草（各二两）
半夏（半升） 麦门冬（一升）
上十二味，以水一斗，煮取三升，分温三服。亦主妇人少腹寒，久不受胎，兼取
崩中去血，或月水来过多，及至期不来。
〔丹〕治赤白带 用五灵脂半生半熟为末，酒调服。
益母散 治带下赤白，恶露下不止。
益母草开花时采，捣为细末，空心温酒下二钱，日三服。
香矾散神效。（方见崩中血见黑止条。即醋炒香附灰也。）
〔丹〕赤白带皆属于血，有出于大小肠之分。
黄荆子炒焦为末，米饮调服。
〔大〕治带下 用芍药炒黑为末，每服三钱匕，调酒下。
治妇人赤白带下，不问年月深远，日渐羸瘦，起止不得。
用刺蓟根（不以多少，曝干秤，每一斤以童子小便五升，浸一伏时，取出晒干。）
上为细末，每服二钱，食前暖酒调下。
玳瑁丸 治赤白带下不止。
玳瑁 续断（各一两） 安息香 麒麟竭 乳香 没药（各半两） 故锦灰（七钱半）
上为细末，以蜜及安息香熬，和药末丸如绿豆大。每服三十丸，食前温酒送下。
〔室女带下〕
《产宝》第十四问∶未出女子有三病，何也？答曰∶女子一病者，经水初下，阴中热，
或当风卧，或扇风。二病者，太冲脉盛，气盛则内热，以冷水洗之。三病者，或见丹下
惊怖者。若三者一有所受，后必有带下之证
也。
神仙聚宝丹 治妇人血海虚寒，外乘风冷，搏结不散，积聚成块，或成坚瘕，及血
气攻注，腹胁疼痛，小便急胀，或虚鸣，呕吐涎沫，头旋眼花，腿膝重痛。面色痿黄，肢
体浮肿，月候欲行，先若重病，或多或少，带下赤白，崩漏不止，惊怖健忘，小便频数或
白，时见虚热，盗汗羸瘦。此药不问胎前、产后、室女，并皆治之。常服安心去邪，逐败
血，养新血，令有子。
木香（另研） 琥珀（另研） 当归（焙，作末） 没药（合末，各一两） 滴乳（二钱半，研）
麝香（研） 辰砂（研，各一钱）
上为末，滴冷热杵为丸，每一两作十五丸，每服一丸，温酒磨下。胎息不顺，腹内
疼痛，一切产难，酒和童便磨下。产后血晕，败血奔心，口噤舌强，或恶露未尽，发
渴面浮，煎乌梅汤和童便磨下。室女月候不调，温酒磨下半丸。产后血气不调，童便磨
下，不拘时服。
崔氏四花穴，治赤白带如神。（取穴法见。）
〔玉〕赤白带 中极（二寸半，赤泻、白补。） 白环俞（一寸半，泻六吸，补一吸。）
〔撮〕又法 中极 白环俞（各十五壮。） 肾俞（二寸半，灸随年壮。）
〔集〕又法 气海 中极 白环俞（不效，取后穴。） 三阳交（补多泻少，灸七壮。）
三阴交
〔东〕又法 荣池（三分，灸三十壮。在内踝前后两边池中脉，一名阴阳穴。） 又法
阴阳（在足拇指下，屈里表头白肉际是也。） 又法 三阴交（五分，灸。） 交仪（二寸，灸。）
漏阴（在内踝下五分，微有动脉，是穴，刺入一分，灸三十壮。）
〔桑〕赤带（《心术》如下赤带不已，渐渐如蛊，亦用此法。） 气海（六分） 中极 委中（各五分。）

中极（在两傍柱骨下六分。）
〔心〕妇人得子，多变成白水淋漓而下，经久身面虚肿。阴谷（二寸半） 绝骨（二寸半）
如喘满 鱼际透大渊。（左右共四十九呼，治肺经水气极妙。）
〔海〕带病，太阴主之，灸章门穴麦粒大各三壮，效。
〔甲〕妇人下赤白沃后，阴中干痛，恶合阴阳，少腹 坚，小便闭，曲骨主之。
女子赤白带，腰 主之。女子赤淫，大赫主之。女子绝子，阴挺出不禁，白沥，上 主之。
女子赤白沥，心下积胀，次 主之。女子赤淫，时白，气癃，月事少，中 主之。女子下苍汁不
禁，赤沥，阴中痒痛，引少腹控 不可俯仰，下 主之。女子疝，少腹肿，赤白淫时多时少，蠡沟
主之。
月事不利，见赤白而有身及前阴寒，行间主之。女子疝及少腹肿，溏泄，癃，遗溺，
阴痛，面尘黑，目下 痛，太冲主之。女子侠脐疝，中封主之。女子疝瘕，按之如
以汤沃两股中，小腹肿，阴挺出痛，经水来下，阴中肿或痒，漉清汁若葵羹，血闭，曲
泉主之。妇人下赤白，里急螈 ，五枢主之。
〔《素》〕肾脉小急，肝脉小急，心脉小急，不鼓皆为瘕。（《大奇论》王注云∶小急为寒
甚，不鼓则血不流，血不流而寒薄，故血内凝而为瘕也。）
三阳急为瘕，三阴急为疝。（王注云∶太阳受寒，血聚为瘕。太阴受寒，血聚为疝。）脉急者曰
疝瘕，少腹痛。（《平人气象论》）
〔脉〕师曰∶妇人带下，六极之病，脉浮则为肠鸣腹满，紧则为腹中痛，数则为阴
中痒，痛则生疮，弦则阴疼掣痛。妇人带下脉浮，恶寒者不治。
〔胎前白带〕
〔丹〕治有孕白带。
苍术（三钱） 山茱萸（去核） 白芍药（各二钱半） 黄芩（炒） 白芷（各二钱） 樗根皮（炒）
黄连（炒） 黄柏（炒，各一钱半）
上为末，糊丸，空心温酒下五十丸。
紫石英（用醋淬炼七次） 附子（炮制） 狗脊（加工洁净） 川芎 鹿茸（用醋炙，以上各一两） 香附（用醋煮，二两。以上药材均研为细末）
用醋煮糯米制成糊状丸药，大小如梧桐子。每次服用七十丸，温酒送服。
养气活血丹 治疗因劳损伤及冲任二脉导致的赤白带下。
大艾叶（炒至焦黑，取药末，五两） 干姜（炒成末，二两半）
以上两味药，用醋二升、无灰酒二升、生姜自然汁二升，将姜末和艾末放入银器中，用慢火熬制成膏状。
附子 白芍药 白术 橘红 川芎 当归 巴戟天（去心，用糯米炒） 人参 五味子（各二两）
以上药材研为细末，加入前面的药膏内，并加入炒热的熟白面二两半，混合均匀，捣杵千下，制成如梧桐子大小的丸药。每次服用五十丸，温酒或米汤送服。
茱萸浴汤 治疗下焦虚冷，脐腹疼痛，五色带下，月经崩漏，淋漓不断。
吴茱萸（热水浸泡） 杜仲（炒去丝） 蛇床子 五味子 丁皮（各一两） 木香 丁香（各半两）
以上药材锉碎如麻豆大小，每次取半两，用生绢袋盛装，加水三大碗，煎煮数沸，趁热熏蒸下部，待温度适宜后淋浴，早晚各熏洗两次。
〔李东垣〕坐药龙盐膏
丁香 木香 川乌头（炮制，各一钱半） 全蝎（五枚） 龙骨 当归尾 香附 炒黄盐 酒防己 肉桂 红豆（各二钱） 玄胡索（五钱） 浓朴（三钱） 良姜 木通（各一钱） 枯矾（半钱）
以上药材研为细末，用炼蜜制成如弹子大小的丸药，用绵布包裹，留出线头在外，纳入阴道内。
又一方 胜阴丹。因为上述药力较小，再取三钱，另外加入行性热药。
三柰子 川乌头 大椒（各五分） 柴胡 羌活（各二钱） 全蝎（三个） 大蒜（一钱） 破故纸（与蒜同焙，一钱） 甘松（三分） 升麻 枯白矾（各二分） 麝香（少许）
以上药材研为细末，按照前法制作。
又一方 回阳丹
全蝎 升麻 甘松（各二分） 草乌头 羌活（各三分） 大椒 三柰子 荜茇 枯矾（各五分） 川乌头 柴胡（各七分） 水蛭（三条，炒焦） 虻虫（三个，去翅足，炒） 大蒜 破故纸（各二钱） 炒黄盐（一钱，必须使用的药物，去掉则无效）
以上药材研为极细末，根据前法制成如指尖大小的丸药，用绵布包裹纳入阴道中，感觉脐下温暖即为有效。
酒煮当归丸 治疗癫痫，白带，下疰香港脚，腰部以下如在冰雪中，用火烘烤炕垫，盖上厚重绵衣，仍然寒冷难忍，这是寒邪至极的表现。面色苍白如枯鱼之象，肌肉消瘦如刀削，这是消瘦迅速的表现。小便不止，白带长流而禁固不住，自己不知觉。面色苍白，眼目青蓝如菜色，眼睛视物不清，身体沉重如山，行走倾斜不稳，不能安立，腿膝枯细，大便秘结，口不能言，这是无力至极的表现。饮食不下，心下痞满，心烦懊恼，不堪其苦。面部污垢停滞，背部恶寒，小便遗溺而不知，这是上、中、下三阳真气俱竭，所以哕呕不止，这是胃寒至极的表现。其脉沉厥紧而涩，按之空虚，如果脉洪大而涩，按之无力，尚且属于中寒证，何况按之空虚的呢？按之不鼓动，这是阴寒至极的表现，其空虚乃是气血俱虚至极的表现。
当归（一两） 香附（半两） 黑附子（炮制去皮脐） 良姜（各七钱）
以上四味药，锉碎如麻豆大小，用好酒一升半，同煎煮至酒尽为止，炭火焙干，共同研为极细末，加入：炒黄盐 丁香（各半两） 全蝎（三钱） 柴胡（二钱） 升麻根 木香（各一钱） 苦楝子 甘草（炙，各半钱） 玄胡索（四钱）
以上与前四味药末一起，共同研为细末，用酒煮面糊制成丸药，如桐子大小。每次服用二十丸，空腹宿食消尽后，淡醋汤送服。忌食油腻、冷物、酒、面食。
当归附子汤 治疗脐下冷痛，赤白带下。
柴胡（七分） 良姜 干姜 附子（各一钱） 升麻 蝎梢（各五分） 甘草（炙，六分） 炒黄盐（三分） 当归（二钱） 黄柏（少许，以上药材均为粗末）
以上取五钱，加水二盏，煎至一盏，去渣热服。制成丸药也可以。
上面提到的炒盐例子。李东垣在回阳丹注中说：必须用炒黄盐，没有则无效。这大概是治疗寒疝的要药。
〔排脓〕
治疗带下，以及肠中有败脓淋漓不尽，腥秽气味特别重，导致脐腹更加增加冷痛。这大概是败脓血所致，突然没有停止的期限，必须用此方排脓。
白芷（一两） 单叶红蜀葵根（二两） 白芍药 白矾（各半两） 白矾烧枯后另研，其余研为末，共同用蜡制成如桐子大小的丸药。空腹及饭前用米汤送服十丸或十五丸。等脓排尽后，仍需用补药辅助治疗。
〔陈自明〕伏龙肝散 治疗妇人赤白带下久治不愈，肌肤消瘦萎黄。有人经年崩漏不止，各种药物无效，脉濡微，给予此伏龙肝散，兼服白矾丸而痊愈。（方剂见前文。）
白矾丸
白矾（四两） 附子（二两） 黄狗骨头（四两，烧成灰，以上药材均研为末）
以上用粥做成如桐子大小的丸药，每次服用三十丸。
〔消瘀血〕
〔张仲景〕问曰：妇人年五十岁左右，病下利数十日不止，傍晚即发热，少腹里急腹满，手掌烦热，唇口干燥，这是什么原因？老师说：此病属于带下。为什么？曾经有过小产，瘀血在小腹未去除。怎么知道呢？其症状是唇口干燥，所以知道。应当用温经汤主治。
温经汤
吴茱萸（三两） 当归 川芎 芍药 人参 桂枝 阿胶 牡丹皮 生姜 甘草（各二两） 半夏（半升） 麦门冬（一升）
以上十二味药，用水一斗，煮取三升，分三次温服。也主治妇人少腹寒，久不受孕，兼治崩中去血，或者月经来潮过多，以及到期不来。
益母散 治疗带下赤白，恶露下不止。

〔室女带下〕

三阳急为瘕，三阴急为疝。（王冰注云：太阳受寒，血聚为瘕。太阴受寒，血聚为疝。）脉急者曰疝瘕，少腹痛。（《平人气象论》）
〔脉诊〕老师说：妇人带下，六极之病，脉浮则为肠鸣腹满，紧则为腹中痛，数则为阴中痒，痛则生疮，弦则阴疼掣痛。妇人带下脉浮，恶寒者不治。
〔胎前白带〕
〔朱丹溪〕治疗有孕白带。
苍术（三钱） 山茱萸（去核） 白芍药（各二钱半） 黄芩（炒） 白芷（各二钱） 樗根皮（炒） 黄连（炒） 黄柏（炒，各一钱半）
以上研为末，糊丸，空腹温酒送服五十丸。
Zishi Qing (Quartz, calcined seven times in vinegar) Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Root) Gouji (Cibotium Rhizome) Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Rhizome) Lurong (Deer Antler, roasted with vinegar, each 1 liang) Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizome, boiled with vinegar, 2 liang). All above are ground into fine powder.
Make pills with glutinous rice paste boiled in vinegar, size of wu-tzu (Chinese apricot seed). Take 70 pills each time, washed down with warm wine.
Yangqi Huoxue Dan (Qi-Nourishing and Blood-Invigorating Pill) Treats red and white leukorrhea caused by labor injury to the Chong and Ren meridians.
Da Aiye (Mugwort Leaf, stir-fried until charred, take powder, 5 liang) Ganjiang (Dried Ginger, stir-fried to powder, 2.5 liang).
Take the above two ingredients, add 2 sheng of vinegar, 2 sheng of unadulterated wine, and 2 sheng of fresh ginger juice. Mix the ginger and mugwort powders in a silver vessel, and simmer slowly over low heat until it becomes a paste.
Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Root) Baishao (White Peony Root) Baizhu (Atractylodes Rhizome) Juhong (Tangerine Peel) Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Rhizome) Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root) Bajitian (Morinda Root, remove heart, stir-fry with glutinous rice) Renshen (Ginseng Root) Wuweizi (Schisandra Fruit, each 2 liang).
Grind the above into fine powder, mix into the previous paste, and add 2.5 liang of stir-fried熟 wheat flour. Knead and pound for a thousand strikes, make pills size of wu-tzu. Take 50 pills each time, washed down with warm wine or rice water.
Zhuyu Yu Tang (Evodia Bath Decoction) Treats deficiency-cold of the Lower Jiao, pain in the umbilical and abdominal regions, five-colored leukorrhea, metrorrhagia and metrostaxis, continuous dripping.
Wuzhuyu (Evodia Fruit, soak in hot water) Duzhong (Eucommia Bark, stir-fry to remove silk fibers) Shechuangzi (Cnidium Fruit) Wuweizi (Schisandra Fruit) Dingpi (Symplocos Bark, each 1 liang) Muxiang (Costus Root) Dingxiang (Clove Bud, each 0.5 liang).
Chop the above into sizes like hemp seeds. Use half a liang each time, place in a raw silk bag, add three large bowls of water, boil for several boils. While hot, fumigate the lower part, then wash with lukewarm water when comfortable. Fumigate and wash twice morning and evening.
[Li Dongyuan] Zu Yao Long Yan Gao (Sitting Medicine Dragon Salt Paste)
Dingxiang (Clove Bud) Muxiang (Costus Root) Chuan Wutou (Prepared Sichuan Aconite Root, each 1.5 qian) Quanxie (Whole Scorpion, 5 pieces) Longgu (Fossilized Bones) Dangguiwei (Angelica Sinensis Root Tail) Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizome) Chao Huangyan (Stir-fried Yellow Salt) Jiufangji (Prepared Stephania Root) Rougui (Cinnamon Bark) Hongdou (Red Bean, each 2 qian) Yanshusuo (Corydalis Rhizome, 5 qian) Houpo (Magnolia Bark, 3 qian) Liangjiang (Alpinia Officinarum Rhizome) Mutong (Akebia Stem, each 1 qian) Kufan (Calcined Alum, 0.5 qian).
Grind all into powder, refine honey to make pills size of bullet. Wrap in cotton cloth, leaving thread outside, insert into vagina.
Another Prescription: Shengyin Dan. Because the above medicine's power is small, take another 3 qian, additionally add herbs with hot properties.
San Nai Zi (Sand Ginger) Chuan Wutou (Sichuan Aconite Root) Da Jiao (Large Pepper, each 5 fen) Chaihu (Bupleurum Root) Qianghuo (Notopterygium Rhizome, each 2 qian) Quanxie (Whole Scorpion, 3 pieces) Dasuan (Garlic, 1 qian) Pogu Zhi (Kudingcha Seed, roast with garlic, 1 qian) Gansong (Nardostachys Root) Shengma (Cimicifuga Rhizome) Ku Bai Fan (White Calcined Alum, each 2 fen) Shexiang (Musk, a little).
Grind all into fine powder, prepare according to the previous method.
Another Prescription: Huiyang Dan
Quanxie (Whole Scorpion) Shengma (Cimicifuga Rhizome) Gansong (Nardostachys Root, each 2 fen) Caowutou (Prepared Grass Aconite Root) Qianghuo (Notopterygium Rhizome, each 3 fen) Da Jiao (Large Pepper) San Nai Zi (Sand Ginger) Bibo (Long Pepper Fruit) Kufan (Calcined Alum, each 5 fen) Chuan Wutou (Sichuan Aconite Root) Chaihu (Bupleurum Root, each 7 fen) Shuizhi (Leech, 3 strips, stir-fry until charred) Mengchong (Blue Bottle Fly Larva, 3 pieces, remove wings and feet, stir-fry) Dasuan (Garlic) Pogu Zhi (Kudingcha Seed, each 2 qian) Chao Huangyan (Stir-fried Yellow Salt, 1 qian, must use this herb, otherwise ineffective).
Grind all into extremely fine powder, prepare according to the previous method into pills size of fingertip. Wrap in cotton cloth and insert into vagina. Effect is felt when warmth is perceived below the umbilicus.
Jiu Zhu Danggui Wan (Wine-Boiled Angelica Pill) Treats epilepsy, leukorrhea, under-infection Hong Kong foot (tinea pedis), coldness below the waist as if in ice and snow. Even with fire heating and thick cotton clothing, still unable to bear the cold, indicating extreme cold. Face pale like a dried fish, muscles wasted as if carved by knife, indicating rapid emaciation. Urination uncontrollable, leukorrhea flowing continuously without restraint, unaware of it. Face pale, eyes blue-green like vegetable color, vision unclear, body heavy as mountain, walking unsteadily, unable to stand firm, legs and knees thin and withered, constipation, inability to speak, indicating extreme weakness. Food intake poor, epigastric fullness, vexation and restlessness, unbearable suffering. Facial dirt accumulation, aversion to cold on back, urinary incontinence unaware, indicating exhaustion of true qi of Upper, Middle, and Lower Yang meridians, hence constant hiccups and vomiting, indicating extreme stomach cold. Pulse is deep, cold, tight, and choppy, empty upon pressure. If pulse is surging and choppy but weak upon pressure, it still indicates middle cold syndrome; how much more so if empty upon pressure? If not drumming upon pressure, it indicates extreme yin-cold. The emptiness indicates extreme deficiency of both qi and blood.
Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root, 1 liang) Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizome, 0.5 liang) Hei Fuzi (Black Prepared Aconite Root, peeled and de-navelled) Liangjiang (Alpinia Officinarum Rhizome, each 7 qian).
Chop the above four ingredients into sizes like hemp seeds. Boil with 1.5 sheng of good wine until wine is exhausted. Dry over charcoal fire, grind together into extremely fine powder. Add: Chao Huangyan (Stir-fried Yellow Salt) Dingxiang (Clove Bud, each 0.5 liang) Quanxie (Whole Scorpion, 3 qian) Chaihu (Bupleurum Root, 2 qian) Shengma Gen (Cimicifuga Root) Muxiang (Costus Root, each 1 qian) Kulian Zi (Toosendan Fruit) Gancao (Licorice Root, roasted, each 0.5 qian) Yanshusuo (Corydalis Rhizome, 4 qian).
Mix with the previous four herb powders, grind into fine powder. Make pills with wine-boiled wheat flour paste, size of tung tree seed. Take 20 pills each time, after empty stomach and residual food digested, washed down with light vinegar water. Avoid greasy, cold foods, alcohol, and wheat products.
Danggui Fuzi Tang (Angelica and Aconite Decoction) Treats cold pain below the umbilicus, red and white leukorrhea.
Chaihu (Bupleurum Root, 7 fen) Liangjiang (Alpinia Officinarum Rhizome) Ganjiang (Dried Ginger) Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Root, each 1 qian) Shengma (Cimicifuga Rhizome) Xie Shao (Scorpion Tail, each 5 fen) Gancao (Licorice Root, roasted, 6 fen) Chao Huangyan (Stir-fried Yellow Salt, 3 fen) Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root, 2 qian) Huangbai (Phellodendron Bark, a little, all above coarsely powdered).
Take 5 qian, add two zhan of water, decoct to one zhan. Remove dregs and take hot. Can also be made into pills.
Regarding the example of stir-fried salt above: Li Dongyuan's note on Huiyang Dan states: Must use stir-fried yellow salt, otherwise ineffective. It is likely the key herb for treating cold hernia.
[Expelling Pus]
Treats leukorrhea, and persistent dripping of putrid pus in intestines, with extremely foul odor, leading to increased cold pain in umbilical and abdominal regions. This is caused by putrid blood and pus, with no sudden end, requiring this prescription to expel pus.
Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica Root, 1 liang) Dan Ye Hong Shukui Gen (Single-leaved Red Hibiscus Root, 2 liang) Baishao (White Peony Root) Bai Fan (Alum, each 0.5 liang). Roast Bai Fan until burnt, grind separately. Mix remaining powder with wax to make pills size of tung tree seed. Take 10 or 15 pills on empty stomach and before meals with rice water. After pus is exhausted, continue with tonifying medicines.
[Chen Ziming] Fulonggan San (Dragon Liver Powder) Treats chronic red and white leukorrhea in women, with emaciated and sallow skin. Someone had metrorrhagia for years, ineffective with various medicines, pulse was soft and faint. Given this Fulonggan San, taken with Baifan Wan, cured. (Formula seen previously.)
Baifan Wan (Alum Pill)
Bai Fan (Alum, 4 liang) Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Root, 2 liang) Huang Gou Gutou (Yellow Dog Bone, 4 liang, burnt to ash, all above ground into powder).
Make pills with congee, size of tung tree seed. Take 30 pills each time.
[Eliminating Stasis]
[Zhang Zhongjing] Questioned: A woman around fifty years old has diarrhea for dozens of days without stopping, fever in the evening, urgency and fullness in lower abdomen, heat in palms, dry lips and mouth. What is this? Master said: This disease belongs to leukorrhea. Why? Because she once had a miscarriage, and blood stasis remains in the lower abdomen. How do we know? Her symptom is dry lips and mouth, thus we know. Should treat with Wen Jing Tang.
Wen Jing Tang (Warm the Menses Decoction)
Wuzhuyu (Evodia Fruit, 3 liang) Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root) Xiong (Ligusticum Rhizome) Shaoyao (Peony Root) Renshen (Ginseng Root) Guizhi (Cinnamon Twig) Ejiao (Donkey-hide Gel) Mudanpi (Moutan Bark) Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger) Gancao (Licorice Root, each 2 liang) Banxia (Pinellia Tuber, half sheng) Maidong (Ophiopogon Tuber, 1 sheng).
Twelve ingredients, add ten dou of water, decoct to obtain three sheng. Divide into three warm doses. Also treats cold in lower abdomen of women, long-term infertility, metrorrhagia with blood loss, excessive menstruation, or delayed menstruation.
[Zhu Danxi] Treating red and white leukorrhea: Use Lingzhi (Trogopterus Dung), half raw half cooked, ground into powder, mixed with wine and taken.
Yimu San (Motherwort Powder) Treats red and white leukorrhea, continuous lochia discharge.
Harvest Motherwort when flowering, grind into fine powder. Take 2 qian with warm wine on empty stomach, three times daily.
Xiangfan San (Cyperi and Alum Powder) Miraculous effect. (Formula seen in Metrorrhagia Black Blood Stop section. i.e., Vinegar-roasted Cyperi Rhizome ash.)
[Zhu Danxi] Red and white leukorrhea all belong to blood, originating from Large Intestine or Small Intestine.
Huang Jing Zi (Vitex Fruit) stir-fried until charred, ground into powder, mixed with rice water and taken.
[Chen Ziming] Treating leukorrhea: Use Shaoyao (Peony Root) stir-fried until black, ground into powder. Take 3 qian bi, mixed with wine and taken.
Treating women's red and white leukorrhea, regardless of duration, gradually becoming emaciated, unable to move freely.
Use Ci Ji Gen (Thistle Root) (amount unspecified, sun-dry and weigh. For every 1 jin, soak in 5 sheng of young boy's urine for one fu period, take out and sun-dry).
Grind into fine powder. Take 2 qian before meals, mixed with warm wine.
Daimai Wan (Trionyx Pill) Treats persistent red and white leukorrhea.
Daimai (Trionyx Carapace) Xuduan (Dipsacus Root, each 1 liang) Anshixiang (Benzoin Resin) Qilinjie (Dragon's Blood) Ruxiang (Frankincense) Moyao (Myrrh, each 0.5 liang) Gu Jin Hui (Ash of Old Brocade, 7.5 qian).
Grind into fine powder. Refine honey and Anshixiang, mix with powder to make pills size of mung bean. Take 30 pills before meals, washed down with warm wine.
[Virgin Leukorrhea]
"Chanbao" Chapter 14 Question: What are the three diseases of unmarried girls? Answer: First disease: When menstruation first starts, internal heat in vagina, sleeping in wind, or fanning oneself. Second disease: Tai Chong meridian is vigorous, qi excess causes internal heat, washing with cold water. Third disease: Being frightened by seeing red substances. If any of these three occur, leukorrhea symptoms will follow later.
Shenxian Jubao Dan (Immortal Treasure Gathering Pill) Treats deficiency-cold of Blood Sea in women, external wind-cold invasion, binding and not dispersing, accumulating into masses, or forming hard fibroids, and qi-blood attacking, causing abdominal and hypochondriac pain, urgent and distended urination, or false borborygmus, vomiting of saliva and foam, vertigo and blurred vision, heavy and painful legs and knees. Sallow complexion, edema of limbs, menstrual flow starting like severe illness, varying amounts, red and white leukorrhea, metrorrhagia and metrostaxis, fright and amnesia, frequent or white urination, occasional deficiency heat, night sweats and emaciation. This medicine treats all cases regardless of prenatal, postnatal, or virgin status. Regular use calms the mind, dispels evil, eliminates stale blood, nourishes new blood, and enables conception.
Muxiang (Costus Root, grind separately) Hupo (Amber, grind separately) Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root, baked and powdered) Moyao (Myrrh, mix powders, each 1 liang) Dilu (Drop Milk [Myrrh], 2.5 qian, grind) Shexiang (Musk, grind) Chen Sha (Cinnabar, grind, each 1 qian).
Grind all into powder. Add cold/hot liquid and pound into pills. Each 1 liang makes 15 pills. Take 1 pill each time, dissolved in warm wine. For difficult labor, abdominal pain, all birth difficulties, dissolve in wine and young boy's urine. For postpartum blood syncope, stale blood rushing to heart, locked jaw and stiff tongue, or incomplete lochia, thirst and facial edema, decoct Sour Plum Soup and mix with young boy's urine to dissolve. For virgins with irregular menstruation, dissolve half a pill in warm wine. For postpartum qi-blood imbalance, dissolve in young boy's urine, take at any time.

[Yang Jizhou] Red and White Leukorrhea: Zhongji (2.5 cun, reduce for red, tonify for white). Bairuan Shu (1.5 cun, reduce six breaths, tonify one breath).
[Cuo] Another Method: Zhongji, Bairuan Shu (each 15 moxa cones). Shenshu (2.5 cun, moxa according to age).
[Ji] Another Method: Qihai, Zhongji, Bairuan Shu (if ineffective, take following points). Sanyanjiao (Tonify more, reduce less, moxa 7 cones).
Sanyinjiao
[Li Dongyuan] Another Method: Rongchi (3 fen, moxa 30 cones. In the pool pulse on both sides front and back of medial malleolus, also named Yin Yang acupoint). Another Method: Yinyang (Below big toe, at the junction of flexor side and extensor side white flesh). Another Method: Sanyinjiao (5 fen, moxa). Jiaoyi (2 cun, moxa). Louyin (5 fen below medial malleolus, slight arterial pulse, this point, puncture 1 fen, moxa 30 cones).
[Sang] Red Leukorrhea ("Xinshu" says if red leukorrhea persists, gradually becoming like gu poison, also use this method). Qihai (6 fen) Zhongji Weizhong (each 5 fen).
White Leukorrhea ("Xinshu" says if white leukorrhea persists, gradually becoming like gu poison, also use this method). Qugu Chengyin (each 7 fen).
Zhongji (6 fen below lateral pillar bones).
[Xin] Women who conceive often transform into clear white fluid dripping continuously, leading to prolonged facial and body edema. Yinggu (2.5 cun) Jiegu (2.5 cun). Like panting and fullness: Yuji penetrating Dazhui. (Total 49 breaths left and right, excellent for treating lung meridian water qi).
[Hai] Leukorrhea disease, governed by Tai Yin. Moxa Zhangmen acupoint with mustard seed-sized cones, 3 cones each, effective.
[Jia] After women discharge red and white fluids, dry and painful vagina, aversion to intercourse, hardness in lower abdomen, urinary obstruction, Qugu governs.
Women's red and white leukorrhea, Yao [point] governs. Women's red discharge, Dahu governs. Women infertile, vaginal prolapse and incontinence, white discharge, Shang [point] governs.
Women's red and white discharge, epigastric fullness, Ci [point] governs. Women's red discharge, occasional white, qi stagnation, scanty menstruation, Zhong [point] governs. Women's involuntary green fluid discharge, red discharge, itchy and painful vagina, pulling lower abdomen, controlling [pain] unable to bend or straighten, Xia [point] governs. Women's hernia, lower abdominal swelling, red and white discharge varying, Ligou governs.
Menstrual difficulty, seeing red and white while pregnant, and anterior yin cold, Xingjian governs. Women's hernia and lower abdominal swelling, loose stools, strangury, urinary incontinence, genital pain, dusty dark face, infraorbital pain, Taichong governs. Women's para-umbilical hernia, Zhongfeng governs. Women's hernia fibroid, pressing feels like hot water poured between thighs, lower abdominal swelling, vaginal prolapse pain, menstruation flow, vulvar swelling or itching, dripping clear fluid like okra soup, blood closure, Ququan governs. Women's red and white discharge, interior urgency and spasms, Wushu governs.
["Suwen"] Kidney pulse small and urgent, Liver pulse small and urgent, Heart pulse small and urgent, not drumming all indicate jia masses. ([Da Qi Lun] Wang Bing notes: Small and urgent indicates severe cold. Not drumming means blood does not flow. Blood not flowing and cold thinning causes blood to coagulate internally forming jia masses.)
Three Yang urgent indicates jia masses, Three Yin urgent indicates hernia. (Wang Bing notes: Tai Yang receiving cold, blood gathers forming jia. Tai Yin receiving cold, blood gathers forming hernia.) Urgent pulse is called hernia jia, lower abdominal pain. ([Ping Ren Qi Xiang Lun])
[Pulse Diagnosis] Master said: Women's leukorrhea, Six Extremes disease. Floating pulse indicates borborygmus and abdominal fullness. Tight pulse indicates abdominal pain. Rapid pulse indicates vaginal itching, pain leads to sores. Wiry pulse indicates genital pulling pain. Women's leukorrhea with floating pulse and aversion to cold is untreatable.
