小儿三岁以前，若有疾病，须看虎口三关脉纹，次辩何样以知病源，再看五色，以知深浅吉凶。红黄病浅，青紫病
深，黑至重。男左女右察之。
初起寅关浅，纹形过卯深，生枝终不治，辰位实难禁。五指稍头冷，惊来未可安。若逢中指热，必定是伤寒。中指
独自冷，痧痘证相传。女右男分左，分明仔细看。
当辨左手之纹，病应心肝；右手之纹，病应脾肺。放此消息之，凡纹透甲者死，纹黑死。
凡纹向内者，虽重可治。如弓反外，病轻必重，难治。如流珠形见于关口或面俱不治。

弯弓形○形如弓样是疳痨，肌肉 羸内火烧，医与环形同一治，免教他日哭啕啕。
玉环形○形似环弓疳积评，好餐泥布炭茶频，急用消疳脾积药，若过三关命必倾。
乱纹形○乱纹 症更何疑，晓夜悲啼识者稀，急取玉露膏一服，敢教父母笑嘻嘻。

双环形○双环形现气关中，红紫风邪青是寒，认症早寻良药治，三关已到死难逃。
川字形○形如川字在三关，紫赤黄纹亦不妨，医药即同乱纹治，青黑相临命必难。
流珠形○流珠恶候急须医，病患膏肓莫疗之，三间若见儿休望，安排后事更无疑。
小儿在三岁以前，如果患有疾病，必须观察虎口三关的脉纹，进而辨别其形态以知晓病因，再观察颜色以判断病情的深浅及吉凶。红色和黄色表示病邪浅表，青色和紫色表示病邪深入，黑色则表示病情危重。男性观察左手，女性观察右手。
初起时，若指纹仅见于寅关（风关），说明病位较浅；若纹路延伸至卯关（气关），说明病邪加深；若出现分支，则难以治愈；若到达辰关（命关），则极难禁受。五指梢头发冷，提示惊风发作，尚不可安枕；若中指发热，必定是伤寒。若中指独自发冷，则是痧痘类疾病的征兆。女右男左，需分明仔细查看。
应当辨别左手之纹，病变对应心、肝二脏；右手之纹，病变对应脾、肺二脏。依此推演消息。凡是纹路透射指甲者主死，纹路发黑者主死。凡是纹路向内（向指根方向）延伸者，虽然病情严重但可治疗。如纹路像弓背一样向外弯曲，表示病轻转重，难以治疗。如出现流珠形，见于关口或面部，均属不治之症。

鱼刺纹：多见于初受惊吓的情况；悬针形：多见于泻痢病症；水字形：多见于惊证及肺积；乙字形：多为肝经病变引起的讹误（假象）；曲虫形：多见于惊疳病；环弓形：一种论断认为已过难关；乱纹形：多因虫咬所致；流珠形：病情已至危重。

鱼刺纹○形状像鱼刺，是初受惊吓的表现，全身皮肤如烫般发红，面色青灰，伴有呕吐腹泻、烦躁不安，若能通肠和气，患儿便会清醒。
悬针形○形状似悬挂的针，多见于泻痢，伴有发惊、身热，定是不适。此病若转变为慢惊风，且纹路已过命关，则为沉疴重症。

水字形○形状像“水”字，是肺家受惊，虚积相传，面色青灰，膈上有痰须及时治疗，若纹路已过命关，性命难保。
乙字形○形状像“乙”字，病因在肝，表现为眼斜、慢惊、啼哭抽搐之间，因冷积久伤传变至此，慢脾风已度过三关。
曲虫形○形状像弯曲的蛇，病邪应深，涉及脾积、疳劳并带惊风，未过第二关宜早治疗，若过第三关则更不必多言（意指难治）。

来蛇形○来蛇形主停食并积聚，腹内不安，常发出细微呻吟声，服用十全丹是良方，不必求神拜佛。
去蛇形○去蛇形症状多属风热，疳积相应变为此形，壮热神志不清宜用解散法治疗，若到第三关，症状就不轻了。
来去蛇形○来去蛇形主内外俱虚，脾家疳热导致毛发稀疏，需扶脾养胃、消除疳积，若命关已到，药物也不必提了（意指无效）。

弯弓形○形状像弓样，是疳痨病，肌肉消瘦，内如火烧，医生给予环形纹同一治疗方法，以免日后痛哭哀嚎。
玉环形○形状似环弓，评定为疳积，喜好进食泥土、布片、炭块、茶叶等异物，急用消疳健脾积的药物，若过第三关，性命必倾。
乱纹形○乱纹病症更无需怀疑，昼夜悲啼，识此症者稀少，急取玉露膏服用一次，敢保让父母笑嘻嘻。

双环形○双环形现于气关中，红紫为风邪，青色为寒邪，认症早寻良药治疗，若三关已到，死亡难逃。
川字形○形状像“川”字位于三关，紫赤黄纹也无妨，医药治疗同乱纹相同，若青黑相间，性命必难保全。
流珠形○流珠为恶候，急需医治，病患膏肓部位受损，无法疗愈，若在三间（此处指代特定部位或阶段）见到，患儿无望，安排后事更无疑义。
Before the age of three, if a child is ill, one must observe the pulse pattern on the three palaces of the tiger's mouth (the thenar eminence area), distinguish its shape to identify the disease source, and examine the five colors to determine the depth and prognosis. Red and yellow indicate superficial disease; cyan and purple indicate deep-seated disease; black indicates severe condition. Observe the left hand for males and the right hand for females.
At the onset, if the pattern is shallow in the Yin Palace (Wind Palace), it indicates a mild condition; if the pattern extends to the Mao Palace (Qi Palace), the disease has deepened; if branches appear, it is incurable; if it reaches the Chen Palace (Life Palace), it is difficult to withstand. Coldness at the tips of the five fingers suggests convulsions have occurred, and peace cannot be assured. If the middle finger is hot, it is definitely wind-cold damage (Shanghan). If the middle finger alone is cold, it indicates measles or smallpox patterns. Distinguish clearly between right for females and left for males, observing carefully.
When distinguishing the patterns on the left hand, the disease corresponds to the Heart and Liver; on the right hand, it corresponds to the Spleen and Lung. Deduce from this principle. Any pattern penetrating the nail bed indicates death; a black pattern indicates death. Patterns extending inward (towards the wrist), although severe, are treatable. If the pattern curves outward like a bow, a light disease becomes heavy and difficult to treat. If a "flowing pearl" shape appears at the gate or on the face, it is untreatable.

Fish-spine pattern ○ The shape resembles fish bones, indicating initial fright. The whole body feels hot like boiling water, the complexion is cyan, accompanied by vomiting, diarrhea, and restlessness. If the intestines are unblocked and qi harmonizes, the child will regain consciousness.
Needle-hanging shape ○ The shape resembles a hanging needle, common in diarrhea and dysentery. It involves fright and fever, definitely causing discomfort. If this disease transforms into slow convulsions and the pattern has passed the Life Palace, it is a critical condition.

Water-character shape ○ Resembling the character "water," it indicates lung fright and chronic accumulation, with a cyan complexion. Phlegm above the diaphragm requires treatment; if the pattern has passed the Life Palace, life is hard to save.
Yi-character shape ○ Resembling the character "yi," the cause lies in the Liver, manifesting as strabismus, slow convulsions, crying, and intermittent spasms. Caused by long-term cold accumulation transforming, when slow spleen wind passes the three palaces...
Curved-worm shape ○ Resembling a curved snake, the disease is deep, involving spleen accumulation, malnutrition, and fright. If it has not passed the second palace, treat early; if it passes the third palace, discussion is futile.

Incoming snake shape ○ Indicates food stagnation and accumulation, with abdominal discomfort and frequent whimpering. Taking Shiquan Decoction is an effective prescription; there is no need to seek gods or worship Buddhas.
Outgoing snake shape ○ Symptoms are mostly wind-heat, with malnutrition transforming into this shape. High fever and confusion require dispersing methods; if it reaches the third palace, the condition is serious.
Incoming-outgoing snake shape ○ Indicates internal and external deficiency, with spleen heat causing sparse hair. Support the spleen, nourish the stomach, and eliminate malnutrition; if the Life Palace is reached, medication is useless.

Bowed bow shape ○ Resembling a bow, it indicates malnutrition consumption (Gan Lao). Muscles are emaciated, and internal heat burns like fire. Treat similarly to the ring shape to avoid future weeping.
Jade ring shape ○ Resembling a ring bow, it evaluates as malnutrition accumulation. The patient frequently eats dirt, cloth, charcoal, and tea. Urgently use medicines to dissipate malnutrition and strengthen the spleen; if it passes the third palace, life is lost.
Chaotic line shape ○ Chaotic lines leave no doubt about the illness. Day and night crying is rare among those who recognize it. Take Yulu Ointment once, and parents will surely smile.

Double ring shape ○ Appears in the Qi Palace. Red and purple indicate wind pathogen; cyan indicates cold. Recognize the syndrome early and seek good medicine; if all three palaces are involved, death is inevitable.
River character shape ○ Resembling the character "chuan" across the three palaces. Purple, red, and yellow patterns are acceptable. Treatment is the same as for chaotic lines; if cyan and black meet, life is difficult to save.
Flowing pearl shape ○ A malignant sign requiring urgent medical attention. The disease affects the Gao-Huang (deep interior) and cannot be cured. If seen in the Sanjian area, do not hope for the child; arrange funeral affairs without doubt.
