小儿齿生迟，乃禀受肾气不足故也。夫齿乃骨之余，肾气主之，肾不足则骨髓不充，所以齿生迟也。
六味地黄丸
山茱萸（肉） 山药 熟地 茯苓（各一两） 泽泻 牡丹皮（各五钱）
为末，蜜丸，盐汤下。
擦牙散
鹿茸（五钱，炙） 生地 当归（各三钱） 雄鼠骨（微火炒，一钱）
为末，擦牙三四次。不半月，齿生矣。
单方∶雄鼠粪，两头尖者是，日用一粒，擦牙龈上，至二十一，立即生矣。
小儿龟胸者，其胸骨高凸胀起，形如龟胸，故以名之，乃肺经郁热而生。此症皆因乳母恣啖五辛煎 浓味而有此；
亦有乳母气郁而不得伸越，忧忆之乳乳儿，亦生此症；或夏月受暑饮冷，当风取凉，此乳乳儿亦生此症。宜审其病情而
治之，日久不治成痼疾矣。
四黄丸 治肺热龟胸。
黄连 黄芩 大黄（酒煨） 胡连 山栀 银柴胡（各五钱） 青黛 甘草 香附（醋炒。各三钱）
为末，猪胆汁为丸，菜子大。每服百丸，姜汤下，日三服。
香附越鞠丸 治气郁龟胸。
香附（四两。四制，盐、酒、醋、童便，各浸一宿，炒干） 乌药 槟榔 青皮 陈皮（各五钱） 沉香 木香 青
黛（各三钱） 萝卜子（一两炒研） 生姜（一两） 煎汤，神曲打糊为丸，菜子大。每服百丸，白滚汤下。
白虎丸 治龟胸三症并效。
寒水石（二两， ） 百合 大黄（煨） 杏仁（炒去皮尖） 黄芩（酒炒） 天冬（去心） 葶苈（炒。各一两）
胡黄连（五钱）
为末，炼蜜为丸。日服三次，桑皮汤下，白滚汤亦可。
小儿出牙迟缓，是由于先天禀受的肾气不足所致。牙齿是骨骼的余气所生，由肾气主管，肾气不足则骨髓不充盈，所以牙齿生长迟缓。
六味地黄丸（Liuwei Dihuang Wan, Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill）：

研为细末，用蜂蜜制成丸剂，用淡盐水送服。
擦牙散（Caya San, Tooth-Rubbing Powder）：

研为细末，用来擦拭牙龈三四次。不到半个月，牙齿就会长出。

小儿龟胸（Turtle Chest），是指其胸骨高凸胀起，形状像乌龟的胸部，因此得名。这是由于肺经郁热而产生的病症。此症多因乳母恣意食用辛辣煎炸及浓烈滋腻的食物所致；也有因乳母气机郁结而不能舒展，带着忧愁忆念的情绪哺乳婴儿，也会导致此症；或者在夏季感受暑邪并饮用冷饮，对着风纳凉，以此方式哺乳婴儿，也会产生此症。应当仔细审察病情而进行治疗，若日久不治，将变成顽固性疾病。
四黄丸（Sihuang Wan, Four-Yellow Pill）：治疗肺热引起的龟胸。
黄连、黄芩、大黄（酒煨制）、胡黄连、山栀、银柴胡（各五钱），青黛、甘草、香附（醋炒，各三钱）。
研为细末，用猪胆汁制成丸剂，大小如菜子。每次服用一百丸，用姜汤送服，每日三次。
香附越鞠丸（Xiangfu Yueju Wan, Cyperus Yueju Pill）：治疗气郁引起的龟胸。
香附（四两，经过盐、酒、醋、童便四种方法炮制，各浸泡一夜后炒干）、乌药、槟榔、青皮、陈皮（各五钱），沉香、木香、青黛（各三钱），萝卜子（一两，炒后研碎），生姜（一两）。
煎煮生姜汤，用神曲糊作为粘合剂制成丸剂，大小如菜子。每次服用一百丸，用白开水送服。
白虎丸（Baihu Wan, White Tiger Pill）：对龟胸的三种证型均有效。
寒水石（二两，捣碎），百合、大黄（煨制）、杏仁（炒制去皮尖）、黄芩（酒炒制）、天冬（去心）、葶苈子（炒制，各一两），胡黄连（五钱）。
研为细末，用炼蜜制成丸剂。每日服用三次，用桑白皮汤送服，白开水也可以。
Pediatric delayed dentition is due to insufficient congenital Kidney Qi. Teeth are considered the surplus of bones and are governed by Kidney Qi; when Kidney Qi is deficient, marrow is not filled, resulting in delayed tooth eruption.
Liuwei Dihuang Wan (Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill):
Corni Fructus (flesh), Dioscoreae Rhizoma, Prepared Rehmanniae Radix, Poria (each 1 liang), Alisma Rhizoma, Moutan Cortex (each 5 qian).
Grind into fine powder, form pills with honey, and take with salt water.
Caya San (Tooth-Rubbing Powder):
Antler of Cervus nippon (5 qian, roasted), Rehmanniae Radix Recens, Angelicae Sinensis Radix (each 3 qian), Os Rattus masculinum (lightly roasted, 1 qian).
Grind into fine powder and rub on the gums three or four times. Within half a month, teeth will erupt.
Single Prescriptions: Excrement of male rat, preferably those with pointed ends. Use one grain daily to rub on the gums; by the age of twenty-one, teeth will immediately erupt. Pediatric turtle chest (Gui Xiong) refers to a condition where the sternum protrudes and swells, resembling the shell of a turtle, hence the name. This arises from stagnant heat in the Lung meridian. It may also result from the nursing mother suffering from Qi stagnation and depression, transmitting these emotions through breast milk to the infant. Sihuang Wan (Four-Yellow Pill): Treats turtle chest caused by Lung heat.
Coptidis Rhizoma, Scutellariae Radix, Rheii Radix et Rhizoma (stir-fried with wine), Coptidis Rhizoma (Hu Lian), Gardeniae Fructus, Stellariae Radix (each 5 qian), Indigo Naturalis, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, Cyperi Rhizoma (vinegar-fried, each 3 qian).
Grind into powder, form pills with pig bile, size of rapeseed seeds. Take 100 pills per dose with ginger decoction, three times daily.
Xiangfu Yueju Wan (Cyperus Yueju Pill): Treats turtle chest caused by Qi stagnation.
Cyperi Rhizoma (4 liang, processed with salt, wine, vinegar, and child's urine, soaked overnight each, then stir-fried dry), Linderae Radix, Arecae Semen, Aurantii Fructus Immaturus, Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (each 5 qian), Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum, Aucklandiae Radix, Indigo Naturalis (each 3 qian), Raphani Semen (1 liang, stir-fried and ground), Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (1 liang).
Decoct the ginger, use Saccharomyces Granulum paste to form pills, size of rapeseed seeds. Take 100 pills per dose with plain boiled water.
Baihu Wan (White Tiger Pill): Effective for all three types of turtle chest.
Hanshui Shi (2 liang, crushed), Lilii Bulbus, Rheii Radix et Rhizoma (roasted), Armeniacae Semen Amarum (stir-fried, skin and tips removed), Scutellariae Radix (wine-fried), Asparagi Radix (heart removed), Lepidii et Descurainiae Semen (stir-fried, each 1 liang), Coptidis Rhizoma (Hu Lian) (5 qian).
Grind into powder, form pills with refined honey. Take three times daily with mulberry bark decoction; plain boiled water is also acceptable.
