倪少南内人，行经如崩，势不可遏，头晕眼花，脉右寸极软弱，左近快，此气虚血热之
候，
由气虚而血不固也。仲景云∶血脱益气。特用人参、黄 各三钱，白术二钱，粉草五分，荆
芥穗、蒲黄、侧柏叶、姜炭各一钱，三帖全瘳。
高仰山内人，痔血，里急后重。饮良入腹，大便即行，昼夜行五六度，五更咳嗽，喉中
痰响
，肌肉脱，口作渴。由服痔科凉血之药过多，致脾虚不能统血也。脉六部皆软弱无力。以四
君子汤加荆芥穗、秦艽、陈皮、炮姜，四帖而饮食进，血全止，嗽定而睡宁。后减炮姜，倍
加何首乌，又四帖，而数年不发矣。
姚娘子小腹疼，饮食及药入腹皆疼，疼来遍身无力。此由血崩而致，宜急治之。人参、
黄
各二钱，白术一钱，茯苓、陈皮各八分，白芍药、贯众各一钱，姜炭、荆芥穗、莲蓬壳烧炭
各三分，煎服而安。
张五桥先生令政，郑都谏春寰公令姊也。痰喘不能伏枕，且咳嗽甚则吐痰涎碗余乃止。
以旋复花
汤为主治之。旋复花、紫苏子各一钱，半夏一钱五分，浓朴、桂皮、粉草各三分、茯苓
、陈皮、桑白皮、葶苈子各八分，姜三片，水煎服。临卧以养正丹二十粒白汤送下。两帖
，痰嗽喘各减十之七，乃去葶苈子，加白芥子、萝卜子，二帖而痊。

高仰山的妻子，患有痔疮出血，伴有里急后重感。饮食进入腹部后，大便随即排出，昼夜排便五六次，五更时分咳嗽，喉中有痰鸣声，肌肉消瘦，口中作渴。这是由于服用过多痔科凉血药物，导致脾虚不能统摄血液所致。诊察发现六部脉象皆软弱无力。使用四君子汤加入荆芥穗、秦艽、陈皮、炮姜，服用四帖后饮食增进，出血完全停止，咳嗽平息且睡眠安宁。后来减去炮姜，加倍加入何首乌，又服用四帖，数年未再发作。

张五桥先生的夫人，是郑都谏春寰公的姐姐。因痰喘严重无法平卧，且咳嗽剧烈时吐出碗余痰涎才停止。以旋复花汤为主进行治疗。处方为：旋复花、紫苏子各一钱，半夏一钱五分，浓朴、桂皮、甘草各三分，茯苓、陈皮、桑白皮、葶苈子各八分，生姜三片，水煎服。临睡前用白开水送服养正丹二十粒。服用两帖后，痰、咳、喘症状各减轻十分之七，于是去掉葶苈子，加入白芥子、萝卜子，再服用两帖而痊愈。
The wife of Ni Shaonan suffered from menorrhagia resembling a uterine hemorrhage, with the flow unstoppable, accompanied by dizziness and blurred vision. Her right cun pulse was extremely weak and soft, while her left pulse was rapid. This indicates a pattern of Qi deficiency and Blood heat, where Qi deficiency fails to secure the Blood. As Zhang Zhongjing stated: "In cases of blood loss, tonify Qi." Therefore, Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix) and Huang Qi (Astragali Radix) were each used at 3 qian, Bai Zhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma) at 2 qian, Fen Cao (Licorice Root) at 5 fen, and Jing Jie Sui (Schizonepetae Spica), Pu Huang (Typhae Pollen), Ce Bai Ye (Biota Top Leaf), and Jiang Tan (Zingiberis Rhizoma Carbonis) each at 1 qian. After three doses, she was completely cured.
The wife of Gao Yangshan suffered from hemorrhoidal bleeding, with tenesmus. Immediately after food entered her stomach, she had a bowel movement, occurring five or six times day and night. She experienced coughing at the fifth watch (3-5 AM), with phlegm rattling in her throat, emaciation, and thirst. This resulted from taking too many cooling-blood herbs for hemorrhoids, leading to Spleen deficiency failing to control the Blood. All six pulses were weak and powerless. Si Jun Zi Tang (Four Gentlemen Decoction) was administered with added Jing Jie Sui (Schizonepetae Spica), Qin Jiao (Gentianae Macrophyllae Radix), Chen Pi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), and Pao Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Preparatum). After four doses, her appetite improved, bleeding stopped completely, cough resolved, and sleep normalized. Later, Pao Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Preparatum) was removed, and He Shou Wu (Polygoni Multiflori Radix) was doubled. After another four doses, the condition did not recur for years.
Niangzi Yao suffered from lower abdominal pain; pain occurred whenever food or medicine entered her stomach, accompanied by generalized weakness during pain episodes. This was caused by uterine hemorrhage and required urgent treatment. Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix) and Huang Qi (Astragali Radix) were each used at 2 qian, Bai Zhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma) at 1 qian, Fu Ling (Poria), and Chen Pi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium) each at 8 fen, Bai Shao Yao (Paeoniae Radix Alba) and Guan Zhong (Cyathulae Caulis et Folium) each at 1 qian, and Jiang Tan (Zingiberis Rhizoma Carbonis), Jing Jie Sui (Schizonepetae Spica), and Lian Peng Ke Tan (Nelumbinis Nucleus Carbonis) each at 3 fen. The decoction was taken orally, resulting in stabilization.
The lady of Mr. Zhang Wuqiao, who was the elder sister of Censor Zheng Chunhuan, suffered from severe phlegm-wheezing that prevented her from lying flat on her pillow. Severe coughing produced more than a bowl of sputum before subsiding. Xuan Fu Hua Tang (Inula Flower Decoction) was used as the primary treatment. The prescription consisted of Xuan Fu Hua (Inulae Flos) and Zi Su Zi (Perillae Fructus) each at 1 qian, Ban Xia (Pinelliae Rhizoma) at 1.5 qian, Hou Po (Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex) and Gui Pi (Cinnamomi Cortex) and Fen Cao (Licorice Root) each at 3 fen, Fu Ling (Poria), Chen Pi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), Sang Bai Pi (Mori Cortex), and Ting Li Zi (Lepidii Semen) each at 8 fen, along with three slices of Sheng Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens). It was decocted in water and taken orally. Before bedtime, twenty pills of Yang Zheng Dan (Yangzheng Pill) were taken with warm water. After two doses, phlegm, cough, and wheezing each decreased by seventy percent. Ting Li Zi (Lepidii Semen) was then removed, and Bai Jie Zi (Sinapis Semen) and Luo Bo Zi (Raphani Semen) were added. After two more doses, she was cured.
