一倍。取无灰酒一斗。入药固瓶口。以糠火煨烧一伏时。火不可猛。酒不可有灰。待冷即开瓶。令患者时时饮半
合一合。不可令绝酒气。经三五日看之。觉消即止饮。不尔。便令儿项细也。刘禹锡亦着效验。其验如神。唯烧
酒候香气出。瓶头有津出便止。不必须待一伏时也。仍禁喜怒。但以线子逐日围度。乃知其效也。
小儿腑脏不和，及遇项边经络虚隙。为风热毒瓦斯所干。与血气相搏于项边。结成核子。复遇风寒所加。则
不消不溃。名曰恶核。若更风寒相加。搏于津液。与腑脏相乘。则溃化脓血。或效而复发。或根傍别生。以至数

治项边生核子不消。

取瘰 内消 以长三寸鲫鱼一个去肠。以和皮巴豆填满。麻皮扎定。以一束秆草烧烟尽。取出放冷。研为细
末。烂稠粥和丸黍米大。每服一丸。粟米饮下。临卧。未痢加一丸。以痢为度。
又方 治如前。以斑蝥一两去翅足。用粟米一升。同炒至米焦。去米不用。只以斑蝥为细末。入薄荷细末四
两拌匀。乌鸡子清和丸黍米
大。空心茶清下一丸。一日加一丸，至五丸止。翌日却减至一丸。以后每服五丸。
胡麻丸
治瘰 。胡麻四两炒香。羊踯躅一两焙。共为末。炼蜜和丸麻子大。每服七丸。渐加至二十一丸。热水下。
日二。见效为度。已破者。更用黑母牛粪烧灰研末敷之。
治一切瘰 经效方 以牡蛎火 通赤。取出。湿地上纸衬。出火毒一宿，每四两。用玄参三两。同为末。面
糊和丸绿豆大。早晚食后酒下。各下三十丸。药尽则病除根本。
又方 治瘰 已破未破。其效如神。以如前 过牡蛎四两。用甘草二两。同为细末。每服一钱。腊茶点服。
日二。
治小儿瘰 以蜗牛壳一两。用牛乳半升。铫子中慢火熬令乳尽。取蜗牛壳研如粉，入大黄末一分。更
研匀。每服半钱。皂荚子仁汤调下。大小便中出恶物。瘥。
又方 治如前。以白僵蚕去丝嘴。炒过为末。每服半钱。温水调下。日三。

Xiao'er Xiangying (Pediatric Neck Goiter). It arises from crying and anger not yet subsiding, followed immediately by feeding with milk or drinking. This causes rebellious Qi to fail to disperse, remaining and knotting to form the condition. Its manifestation is a series of lumps on the neck, gradually enlarging and divided into lobes. Another account states: When kudzu root lies in the ground and spring water flows over it, people use this water for food and drink, which leads to the development of neck goiter. Therefore, those living near mountains often suffer from it, because kudzu grows in the mountains.
Kunbu Wan (Laminaria Pill)
Treats neck goiter.
Kunbu (Laminariae Thallus, 1 liang, washed to remove salty taste), Haizao (Sargassum Thallus, 1 liang, washed to remove salty taste), Longdancao (Gentianae Radix, remove rhizome, 1 liang), Binglang (Arecae Semen, 0.5 liang), Tiantingli (Descurainiae Semen et Herba, 1 liang, stir-fried between papers until purple, then ground finely), Qianniu Zi (Pharbitidis Semen, 0.5 liang, stir-fried).
Grind all ingredients into a fine powder. Mix with wheat flour paste to form pills the size of millet seeds. Take 10 pills per dose, administered with Ginseng Decoction.
Another prescription for treating neck goiter that has persisted for one or two years. Use Huangyaozi (Dioscorea bulbifera Tuber), half a jin; the tight and heavy ones from Wanzhou are superior. If they are light and hollow, they originate from other regions and have weaker potency, requiring double the dosage. Take one dou of wine without dregs (Wuhui Jiu, clear wine), put the herbs in, seal the bottle mouth tightly, and simmer over bran fire for one shi (two hours). The fire must not be fierce, and the wine must not contain dregs. Once cooled, open the bottle. Let the patient sip half he to half he occasionally, ensuring the scent of wine is never completely absent. After three to five days, observe if the swelling has subsided; if so, stop drinking. Otherwise, it may cause the child's neck to become too thin. Liu Yuxi also recorded its efficacy, which was miraculous. For burning wine, wait until the aroma emerges and moisture appears at the bottle neck, then stop; there is no need to wait a full shi. Still, forbid emotional excitement. Measure the circumference daily with a thread to know the effect.
In children, disharmony of the Zang-Fu organs, combined with deficiency gaps in the meridians around the neck, allows Wind-Heat Toxic Qi to invade. It battles with Blood and Qi around the neck, forming nodules. If further affected by Wind-Cold, these nodules neither dissipate nor suppurate, named Ehe (Malignant Nodule). If Wind-Cold continues to act upon the Body Fluids and interacts with the Zang-Fu, they may ulcerate and transform into pus and blood. They may temporarily improve but recur, or new nodules may sprout beside the root, resulting in several continuous lesions that do not heal, named Luoli (Scrofula). Commonly referred to as "Luoli Zi". This is a disease where the Blood and Qi of the Zang-Fu are internally and externally connected.
Zaojiao Gao (Tamarisk Cathartic Fruit Ointment)
Treats nodules arising around the neck that do not dissipate.
Zaojiao (Tamaricis Fructus, one large pod, burned to retain its nature), Nuomi (Glutinous Rice, one he, stir-fried until black and scorched), Caowutou (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix, raw, 2 qian), Huangpi (Cortex Phellodendri, 2 qian, stir-fried until black).
Grind into powder. Mix with well water according to the amount needed and apply to the nodule. If not dissipated, administer Shuijing Dan to purge downwards. After diarrhea occurs, supplement with Guanyin San. Reapply the ointment, and it will dissolve.
Shuijing Dan (Crystal Pill)
Tian Nan Xing (Arisaematis Rhizoma, washed, raw, ground into powder, 1 fen), Huashi (Talcum, raw, ground into powder, 2 qian), Shuiyin Fen (Hydrargyrum, weighed, 0.5 qian), Wuyi (Myristicae Arillus, take 100 kernels), Badou (Crotonis Fructus, 50 kernels, shell removed, oil retained).
First grind Badou extremely finely. Then add Wuyi kernels and grind again. Finally, add the other medicines and grind uniformly. Mix with soft rice to form pills the size of millet seeds. Take 3-5 pills per dose, adjusting based on age/size. Take slightly hungry before bed, delivered with Scallion White and Rice Decoction. After diarrhea, avoid cold, raw, and hard foods. Supplement with Guanyin San. (Prescription detailed previously).
Rusheng San (Like-Sage Powder)
Treats as above.
Mian Huangqi (Astragali Radix, 1 liang, sliced), Lianqiao (Forsythiae Fructus, 1 liang), Gefen (Columbae Excrement, 0.5 he, burned to ash), Chuan Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, 0.5 liang, sliced and stir-fried), Nuomi (Glutinous Rice, 0.5 he, stir-fried together with 7 Blister Beetles until rice turns yellow, remove beetles), Xijiao Xie (Rhino Ceratoss, 0.5 liang).
Grind into fine powder. Take 1 qian per dose. Add 8 fen of water and 3-4 drops of wine. Decoct together until 5 fen remains. Remove dregs, let cool to warm temperature, and sip occasionally.
Zitan San (Sandalwood Powder)
Treats as above.
Zitan Xiang (Pterocarpus Santalinus Lignium), Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix), Chuan Puxiao (Natrii Sulfas, ground), Juanbai (Serpylli Herba, each 1 liang), Chi Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra), Chuan Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, each 0.5 liang).
Grind into fine powder. Take a small amount per dose. Mix with egg white to appropriate consistency. Apply to the affected area.
Qu Luoli Neixiao (Internal Dissolution for Scrofula)
Take one crucian carp, 3 cun long, remove intestines. Fill with Badi Dou (Crotonis Fructus) including skin. Tie tightly with hemp rope. Burn with a bundle of straw until smoke disappears. Remove, let cool, grind into fine powder. Mix with thick porridge to form pills the size of millet seeds. Take one pill per dose, delivered with Millet Drink. Before bed. If no diarrhea, add one more pill. Stop when diarrhea occurs.
Another prescription for treating as above. Take 1 liang of Blister Beetle, remove wings and feet. Stir-fry with one sheng of millet until millet is scorched. Discard millet. Grind Blister Beetle into fine powder. Mix with 4 liang of fine Mint Powder. Mix with egg white to form pills the size of millet seeds. Take one pill on an empty stomach with Tea Liquor. Increase by one pill daily up to five pills. Next day reduce back to one pill. Thereafter, take five pills per dose.
Huma Wan (Sesame Pill)
Treats scrofula. Stir-fry 4 liang of Sesame Seed until fragrant. Roast 1 liang of Yangzhizhu (Daphne Odora Cortex). Grind both into powder. Mix with refined honey to form pills the size of sesame seeds. Take 7 pills per dose, gradually increasing to 21 pills. Deliver with hot water. Twice daily. Continue until effect is seen. For already ulcerated cases, burn black cow dung to ash, grind to powder, and apply externally.
Jingxiao Fang (Classic Effective Prescription for All Scrofula)
Burn Ouli (Ostreae Concha) until red hot. Remove. Place on wet ground lined with paper to eliminate fire toxicity overnight. For every 4 liang of Ouli, use 3 liang of Xuanshen (Scrophulariae Radix). Grind both into powder. Mix with wheat flour paste to form pills the size of mung beans. Take 30 pills after morning and evening meals with wine. Upon finishing the medicine, the root of the disease is eliminated.
Another prescription for treating scrofula, whether ulcerated or not, with miraculous efficacy. Take 4 liang of calcined Ouli as described above. Use 2 liang of Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma). Grind both into fine powder. Take 1 qian per dose, taken with aged tea. Twice daily.
Treating pediatric scrofula: Take 1 liang of Snail Shell. Simmer slowly in 0.5 sheng of Cow Milk in a clay pot until milk is exhausted. Grind snail shell into powder. Add 1 fen of Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) powder. Grind uniformly. Take 0.5 qian per dose, mixed with Soap Pod Kernel Decoction. Evil matter is discharged through urination and defecation. Condition heals.
Another prescription for treating as above. Take Bai Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus), remove silk and mouthparts. Stir-fry and grind into powder. Take 0.5 qian per dose, mixed with warm water. Three times daily.
