The *Daoyin Method* in the *Yangsheng Fang* records: Chisongzi said: Lie on your back and stretch out, extending both calves and two hands. Point the heels outward so that the toes face each other. Inhale through the nose until the breath reaches its limit, repeating for seven breaths. This eliminates dead flesh (necrotic tissue), numbness (loss of sensation), and cold feet.
It also states: Extend both feet upward to eliminate numbness and coldness in the shins.
The *Daoyin Method* in the *Yangsheng Fang* records: Raise both arms and maintain breathing for twelve cycles to cure damp-bi syndrome (painful obstruction due to dampness) causing inability to walk, and bi-pain in the waist and spine. Also, lie flat on your back with hands stacked behind your back, extend both legs downward, and maintain breathing for twelve cycles to cure damp-bi syndrome causing inability to walk and pain in the waist and spine. If the bi-syndrome affects only one side, press the right foot if the left is affected, or press the left foot if the right is affected. Practice this over a long period; the hands should be used similarly to the feet. Stop after completing ten directions.
It also states: Massage the abdomen with your hands from the feet to the head. Lie flat on your back, curl your arms, and perform daoyin. Hold your hands to pull the feet while maintaining the arm-raising posture, hold your breath without exhaling for twelve cycles. This treats unbearable damp-bi syndrome and pain in the waist and spine.
The *Zhen Gao* in the *Yangsheng Fang* records: Comb your hair and scalp frequently to unblock blood vessels and dissipate wind-dampness. Change combs often and use them alternately.
The *Yangsheng Fang* records: First, hook the big toe of the left foot with the heel of the right foot to eliminate wind-bi; second, hook the big toe of the right foot with the heel of the left foot to eliminate jue-bi (cold extremities bi); third, alternate pulling the dorsum of the feet with both hands and placing them on the knees to eliminate systemic bi.
It also states: Entering water immediately after sweating leads to bone-bi.
It also states: Lie on your back, bring the knees together, turn the feet outward, extend the waist, sit up, inhale through the nose, and distend the abdomen until the breath reaches its limit, repeating for seven breaths. This eliminates bi-pain, hot-pain, and immobility of the shins.
It also states: Sit in a squatting position, extend the waist, pull both heels with both hands, inhale through the nose, and reach the breath's limit, repeating for seven breaths. Separate the knees to treat "dui-bi" (a specific type of bi) and pull with both hands.
It also states: Holding urine unnecessarily causes cold knees leading to bi-syndrome.
It also states: Lie on your back, extend both hands and feet straight, inhale through the nose until the breath reaches its limit, repeating for seven breaths, then shake the feet thirty times before stopping. This eliminates cold in the chest and feet, and systemic bi-jue-ni (reversal).
It also states: Stand upright leaning against a wall, hold your breath, and let the qi flow from the head to the feet before stopping. This cures severe wind-induced hemiplegia and various bi syndromes.
It also states: Place both hands on the ground beside you, arch your back upward, and hold for five breaths before stopping. This removes wei-bi (flaccidity and bi) and benefits the nine orifices.
It also states: Point the toes of both feet upward and hold for five breaths before stopping. This treats dry and withered bi in the waist and back, enabling hearing. Long-term practice ensures no obstacles in the eyes, ears, and other sensory roots.
It also states: Extend the right foot while squatting, hug the left knee with both hands, straighten the waist, inhale through the nose, and reach the breath's limit, repeating for seven breaths. This eliminates difficulty in flexion and extension, and painful bi in the shins during bowing and rising.
It also states: Arch both arms to the sides and hold your breath without exhaling for nine cycles. This treats pain and fatigue in the arms and feet, and wind-bi causing immobility.
It also states: When people commonly feel spinal rigidity and chest stuffiness, look upward, strain the shoulders, and twist the head to the left and right. Perform three sets of three twists. Wait until the blood circulation stabilizes before proceeding. Start slowly and increase intensity later; do not start with high intensity. If there are no illnesses, practice at three specific times: morning after waking up, noon, and sunset. For each time, perform two sets of seven breaths. This eliminates cold-heat diseases affecting the spine, waist, neck, and nape, as well as wind-bi affecting the knees, neck, and head. Inhale through the nose until the breath reaches its limit, repeating for seven breaths. This eliminates lumbar bi, back pain, mouth ulcers, toothache, dizziness, and vertigo.
It also states: Do not partially undress when sweating profusely, as this invites partial wind attack, leading to hemiplegia.
The *Yangsheng Jing Yao Ji* records: Applying powder immediately after heavy sweating and wearing sweat-soaked clothes causes sores and difficulty in urination and defecation.
